What is a Rashguard?
Originating in the surfing world, a rashguard (sun shirt) was created to prevent a rash that would appear after repeated sliding on a sandy or waxy surfboard. But with so much concern about UV rays, it has become a popular alternative to a swim top. Rashguards are moisture-repelling, nylon or polyester, and also can provide warmth in colder water.
