Take a look at our swimsuit and bathing suits for women. Find new must-haves for your swim wardrobe!

Key Styles
One-Piece
While modesty is one of this style’s main features, you can still look sexy in a supportive and well-designed one-piece swimsuit. One-piece suits with underwire contour cups give you the coverage and lift you're looking for in average sizes and plus sizes. Wireless styles generally have a comfortable elastic underband that gives your bust stability. A covered middle also has its advantages, often with strategically-placed ruching to conceal figure bumps and ripples while visually slimming you, and colored insets and panels.

Bandeau
"Bandeau" refers to the style of the top of the swimsuit and can apply to both one-piece and two-piece styles. Bandeau tops are usually strapless, often with inner elastic or drawstring. Bandeau swimsuits may be best suited to trimmer figures, since the snugness of the top might not flatter larger busts. They also don't offer a lot of support. For more support, bandeau tops with shoulder or v-straps might do the trick.

DD+
Women who wear a DD cup size or larger require more support from their tops. DD+ suits are designed to give you the lift and modesty you need without sacrificing the style and look you want.

Slimming
Slimming swimsuits are made to target problem areas, such as your tummy and waist. With hidden support and attractive styling, slimming swimsuits are made with strong stretch materials, linings, strategic draping, and attractive patterns. Many are available in plus size, as well.

Two-piece
The style of the top and bottom parts of a two-piece suit can take many forms, from the classic triangle shape to bra-sized tops with underwires – and so much more. Two-piece bottoms also come in a range of styles, not limited to classic bikinis, boyshorts, briefs and skirted bottoms.

Bikini
Just when you thought you knew all about bikinis, times changed, and now bikinis come in more styles than ever before. Yes, they are still the most minimal of all swimwear, with bottoms hitting a low (or very low) hip. Explore all styles here, or read on to learn more about the different styles of tops and bottoms available to you.

Tankini
Tankini tops give you all the benefits of a two-piece suit with the coverage of a one-piece. Covering the torso conceals those little ripples and bumps while helping protect your skin from the sun's rays. Tankinis can also be very sexy, with plunge necklines and artfully twisted fabric over the cups for a stunning effect. You can choose from a range of bold, solid colors, flattering neutrals and multicolor prints. Most tankini collections also allow you to buy your top and bottom separate, so you can mix and match.

Halter tops
Halter tops are flattering on almost every body type and are popular on both one-piece and two-piece swimsuits. Halter tops connect behind the neck instead of connecting with two straps over the shoulders. This construction offers a great deal of support, even for large breasts. Because the straps run along the outer edge of the breasts, they can prevent a droopy overhang and make breasts look shapely and firm.

Triangle tops
The cups of triangle swimwear tops are, you guessed it, triangle-shaped. These tops typically come with slender straps or halter-style ties and often have the least coverage. For the most part they are best suited to smaller busts, although some brands offer triangle tops with added support and coverage.

Bikini bottoms
Bikini bottoms are known for having very low coverage, and a rise that hits low (or very low) on the hips.

Boyshort bottoms
These are quickly becoming the most popular style of bottom out there, mainly because they are flattering to so many figures. Offering more bottom coverage than bikini bottoms, the boyshort hipster design flatters the tummy, too. Designed to fit snugly but comfortably, boyshorts offer several advantages; they're cute and sexy, while still being modest and practical.

Brief bottoms
Like the panties of the same name, briefs offer more coverage than bikini bottoms. Briefs can have high-cut legs or classic cut legs. They can hit just below the navel or be high-waisted. There is a briefs style that flatters every figure.

Plus-size swim
Trusted brands like Freya, Panache, Fantasie and Miraclesuit are known for a large product line of flattering and stylish swimwear for fuller figures. Keep in mind some style guidelines and you won't go wrong: tankinis, skirt styles and some one-piece swimsuit designs can be very flattering. If you go for a two-piece, boyshorts are preferred over bikini-style bottoms. Tops that offer more support – like tankinis, underwire, halter tops and balcony styles – are your best bet. Many suits are constructed with built-in underwire and control panels to help slim and flatter larger figures.

How To Fit A One-Piece Swimsuit

Bathing Suit Styles for Your Shape △
Springtime has once again sprung up on us which means beach season is only a few weekends away. But why are we so focused every year on fitting into a certain style or trend? We’re here to remind you that whether you’re a pear shape, an hourglass, busty, or some other body comparison, you’re going to look beautiful in one of our flattering bathing suits. Dress for your body and let the world know you embrace your beauty inside and out (and get ready to get noticed.)

Large Chested:

You know it, we’re just telling you. Itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny bikinis are not going to make you feel sexy. Opt for a thicker strapped suit like our Freya Electra Underwire to ensure you feel secure and look amazing.

Small Chested:

Triangle Tops are your friends! We know you’re not trying to pretend like you’re something you’re not, but a nice triangle gives your body some shape and movement. We love the styling and sporty Roxy Sunset Paradise Fixed Triangle top. Spend the day crashing in the waves without worrying about a Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction.

Flat Behind:

If you’re worried about 2D predilections, do not fear. Throw on our favorite floral bikini, Fantasie Wakaya Deep Brief. Prefer a stripe? Go ahead! Fool the world with bright and distracting patterns that will have you feeling confident and bootylicious.

Athletic Figure:

No illusions here. You’ve worked hard and it’s time to embrace your rockin’ Kate Hudson physique with some of our stunning straight across bandeaus. A bandeau perfectly highlights your strength and gorgeous shape. Go retro with your look and check out our Seafolly Block Party Bandeau Bustier.

Large Behind

You have been blessed with a big booty, but so often magazines are trying to contain you causing for strange panty lines and unnecessary discomfort. We’ll say it until the day we die. Embrace your shape! Follow the rule of the Little Black Dress and dress to impress with a statement making one piece. A simple patterned black suit like our Miraclesuit Net Work Piped High Neck Illusion will keep you looking svelte without hiding your curves.

Stomach Worries

Grace Kelly wore one pieces for a reason. They looked AMAZING. No need to let anyone know they’re helping you cover up some potential insecurity. That’s why we’re recommending another gorgeous one piece. The Miraclesuit Up and Coming Marais One Piece Swim Dress is so breathtaking it’ll have everyone feeling a little underdressed for beach day.

We all have our beach day excitement and we all have our beach day woes. It’s time to do away with worry and confidently lay poolside knowing you love your body and know how to dress it!
Discover Bra Size Swimwear for Your Winter Vacation △
Shake off the snow and dive into resort season with confidence. There’s nothing more exciting than shopping for new swimwear to hit the beach in during the winter months. Where are you heading this season- the Florida Keys, St. Marten or maybe even Hawaii? Regardless the destination, one thing rings true: swimwear is tricky, especially if you’re larger than a D cup. Ditch your old suit styles for bra sized swimwear that fits like a glove and truly enjoy your hard-earned vacation.

Most swimwear on the market is traditional compression style, where the design is made to push your breasts against your chest plate to inhibit movement and wardrobe malfunctions [like a sports bra]. This style comes in your average S-M-L size range. A good example is the O’Neill Albany Floral Hi-Neck Bikini; although extremely gorgeous, this type of swimwear is best suited for women with a smaller bust size.

The best swimwear for women D(D1) – K(D12) are bra sized options with molded or multi-part cups. If you are a woman with a large bust, you’ve probably experienced ill-fitting swimwear over the years. Well, you can leave that all in the past thanks to brands like Prima Donna, Curvy Kate, Freya, Panache, Fantasie and more. The good news is that bra sized swimwear is just as gorgeous as their compression counterparts. They come in an array of styles, everywhere from one-piece suits to slinky bikinis. Thanks to the supportive multi-part cup construction, you can achieve your best bust and cleavage while on the beach. Additionally, some styles come with light to removable padding to reduce bulk. A few features to look forward to when shopping for your best, most supportive and well-fitting bra sized swimsuit are:

Side support panels for extra hold
Powermesh lining for smoothing and shaping
Comfortable underwire for a rounded, youthful look
Adjustable bra-like straps
Optional J-hooks for support and racerback styling
Flexible boning at side seams for added support
Our blog wouldn’t be complete without offering some of this season’s best suits. Consider one or more of these hot styles for your winter holiday:

How to Pick the Best Bathing Suit for Your Body Type △
Ah, bathing suit season… a time that many have grown to fear and dread because finding both flattering and comfortable bathing suits can, at times, be tricky. I have good news for you though! I’m going to share my tried and true tips to help you know How to Pick the Best Bathing Suit for Your Body Type!

I want you to find a suit that helps you feel beautiful and flatters your best curves.

How to Pick the Best Bathing Suit for Your Body Type

Ready to dive in? Great! Let’s talk about your body type and the suits that will boost your beach confidence.

So, what’s your shape?

Most women have either a Large Bust, a Small Bust, are more Pear Shaped, are looking for Slimming options or have a Long Torso.

If one of these sounds like you, read on for suits that offer solutions.

Best bathing suits if you have a Large Bust:

For most women with a large bust, support is vital. Fortunately, there are many suits on the market to meet this need. I recommend that you look for bathing suits with built-in bras. Shop for these with your bra size as opposed to traditional S, M, L, etc… sizing.

Styles with underwires or molded cups may be beneficial and provide you with even more support. Thicker straps will also distribute weight well and keep them from digging into your shoulders.

Below are a few favorites from HerRoom for women with a large bust.

Sunsets Rose Garden Forever Underwire Tankini

Fantasie Geneva Underwire Moulded Gathered Bikini

Lise Charmel Antigel La Decouvreuse Bikini

Panache Portofino Balconnet Bikini

Best bathing suits if you have a Small Bust:

If you have a small bust and are looking for ways to enhance it we have many suits with built-in push-up cups and padding that can help. You might also consider styles with triangle tops, which are another great way to create an illusion of curves.

Bright colors, bold patterns, and ruffles on tops are great options to help make your chest appear fuller too.

Below are a few favorites from HerRoom for women with a small bust.

L Space Color Block Bodhi Reversible Bikini

Hot Water Garden Blooms Push Up Racerback Bikini

Trina Turk Moroccan Paisley Off The Shoulder Bandeau Swim Top

La Blanca Running Stitch Triangle Tie Back Bikini

Best bathing suits if you have a Pear Shape:

With a pear shape figure, the key to great swimwear is balancing your proportions. Consider plunging necklines and anything eye-catching at the bustline. This will help draw the eye up. Cut-outs are another alternative that can help add interest.

Look for styles that minimize attention to your bottom. High-waisted bottoms can help slim, lengthen and soften your silhouette, as well.

Below are a few favorites from HerRoom for women with a pear shape.

Gottex Orlena Deep Plunge One Piece Swimsuit

OndadeMar Blue Iris Striped Triangle One Piece Swimsuit

Freya Totally Check Underwire Off The Shoulder Swim Top

Elomi Paradise Palm Underwire Flounce Bikini

Best bathing suits if you are looking for Slimming support:

If you are looking for a bit of slimming support around your middle, great news! Many of today’s designers are borrowing elements from shapewear and incorporating them into their swimwear – helping you feel infinitely more confident on the beach.

In addition to swimwear with shaping incorporated into the suit itself, look for styles with shirring details and ruching to flatter your figure. Wrap style suits and swim dresses can also create a slimming illusion.

Below are a few favorites from HerRoom for women with slimming support.

Best bathing suits if you have a Long Torso:

If your torso (the area from your head to your crotch) is longer than the measurement of your crotch to the floor, then you have a long torso. To help bring your figure into a visual balance, and make your torso look a bit shorter, seek out styles that will visually break the long line of your torso. This could be done with a belted design or with a pattern change for example. Also, styles that are cut to help visually lengthen and enhance your legs can also be flattering.

Tankinis can be particularly nice because you are able to adjust the shirring on the sides to shorten or lengthen the top to tailor your fit.

Below are a few favorites from HerRoom for women with a Long Torso.

Fantasie Amalfi Underwire Tankini

Fantasie Fiji Underwire V-Neck One Piece Swimsuit

Panache Anya Tankini

Sunsets Native Blooms Shirred Underwire Tankini

I hope these suggestions help put you on the fast track to gorgeous swimwear this season. I’m going to be sharing even more great swimwear tips for looking good poolside soon. Please stay tuned for those. Until then, I wish you happy swimwear shopping!

Find a better fit,

Tomima
