I have worn Wacoal bras for at least 35 years. My only problem is that I like only the Wacoal Feather Embroidery Bra and I have had a hard time finding them.

As usual from Wacoal, a beautiful, well made bra. The Retro Chic is my go-to everyday bra, and this one, while sized the same, has just a wee bit less coverage on the sides of the cup and the straps are more wide set. Didn’t quite work for me

The back strap (hooks & eyes) has sharp edges that cut into my skin. The fabric edges are heat fused together and are therefore stiff & hard. I did try a larger bra size, but had the same experience. Used nail file to soften the edge, which helped

I love this bra. It is comfortable and supportive. On the size I ordered, the side panels are wider and back, so is pretty effective to smooth these areas. I had the opportunity to speak with a Wacoal representative, and she shared that the seaming if the cups provide a good support...I find this to be true. I much prefer this style to those with the "contour cups". This style provides more support and does a fair job of creating a "smooth look" under clinging knit fabrics.

Loved the fit. It replaced a feather bra I had for years. However, after about 1 year--probably wore at the most 30 times--the sheer part of the cup simply tore apart. I never wash in hot water and always air dry. Retro chic bra purchased at the same time and worn more often still going strong.
Wacoal Response: We apologize for the negative experience you’ve encountered. The cup construction and coverage of style 85121 is not as full as the 855186. Is the center panel on the bra flat against your chest or is there space or breast tissue in between your chest wall and the center panel? If it is not laying the flat, then the cup is too small and the breast tissue is pushing the cups away from your chest straining the fabric. This could cause the mesh to tear. So if you are a 34C in 855186 you may need a 34D in 85121 as this bra has less cup capacity than 855186.

First off let me say that HerRoom"s customer service and delivery were excellent! As a man who due to some medical issues has grown breasts, it is nice to be treated with respect by HerRoom! This bra is very comfortable to wear. My wife recommended it as a change from the plain Tee Shirt bras I have, a few years back and she was right on. This bra has no lining and the lace upper cup is easily seen with a tee shirt on or thin see thru blouse! Wacoal makes excellent bras and this one gives very good lift and shaping, along with good side band support and I wear this one with my Hawaiian type shirts often.

Nice shape, relatively comfortable for a wire. Not for T-shirts, which makes me sad, because the seam shows as a puckered line. Fine with sweaters. I have small ribs, and this is almost too big around, and has a gap at the side. I should try 34DD.

My husband bought me this bra 5 years ago and I now have 5 of these in my drawer. I just purchased a new one to replace a worn out one and it fits just as always,GREAT in the cups and band(40B). The straps stay put with very little sliding. But there is always a little adjusting, isn't there! The sides of this bra are a little wider and seem to push the sides of my breasts forward some for a smoother, fuller look! I highly recommend this bra for women.

These became my go-to bra for everyday use when a previous style was discontinued. Comfortable and good support. Well made but doesn't last quite as long as other bras I have. The company seems to be ramping this one down -now no larger sizes and only available in one color- I will be very sorry if it is discontinued and may have to abandon the Wacoal brand. Also an excellent value.

I love, love, love this bra.
I generally have problems with the sides of bras being too wide and coming all the way into my armpits, but ths one is perfect. I have narrow shoulders and cannot wear bras with wide straps. This one is just right.

The item looks very nice, but it did not fit. I ordered three bras all told, each of them a different model--the other two fit perfectly. Cup size here is way to big.
Wacoal Response:
This style is one of the original Wacoal full figure bras. You are right, the cup is large for that purpose. You should consider going to an average figure bra which will have a smaller cup. Try Wacoal La Femme Full Figure Underwire Bra 855117
style.

This bra seems made for a very large bust. It actually offered too much coverage, which isn't a problem I usually have.
Wacoal Response:
You are correct this is a full figure bra with full coverage. You should look at newer models with
less coverage. Wacoal has many styles in your size with less coverage than this style.

This bra has pretty good support, bu the shoulder straps roll over--they fold from the inside edge (the part closer to my neck) and that makes them narrower and more likely to dig in or slip. The bra also creates a slightly weird-looking shape.
Wacoal Response:
This is one of the original Wacoal full figure bras. Because of it's design it does give a rather
projected look. If the straps are digging in make sure they are not too tight and make sure you
have the correct band size- try size 36DD and see how that works.

This is a pretty and very comfortable bra. Some other reviewers have said that it will give you cone breasts. It won't round the girls the way a molded cup bra will. But for my figure, it doesn't push my girls into a cone, it just maintains my natural shape. The lace will show under T's and it's full cut, so it's not for wearing with low cut tanks. But if you want a pretty bra that supports without reshaping you, this is a great choice.

Wacoal has always served me well. This bra is comfortable and keeps the girls up. I like the shape, not too round but a soft natural shape. The cup is just ever so slightly shy of perfect fit at the top allowing a very slight bulge over the top but not enough for me to change size.

Finally, The Bra of My Dreams
OK, here are the Wacoal Bras I have tried. 85154, 65547, 855136, 855192, 885814, 85567 and 857109. And finally, finally, finally the bra for me.....Wacoal 85121 Feather Embroidery Bra. Why I like it. It LIFTS!!! My girls don't drop to the bottom of the bra at the end of the day. The straps are centered. There is a nice comfortable band under the underwire, which mean no uncomfortable rubbing. Not too high under the arms, but so much support from that extra band of supporting material that sits right under the arm. If I bend over and touch my toes, the girls stay in place. The cups include great coverage but still allow me to wear tank tops. And wow, it doesn't look matronly. Thanks Her Room. Love this bra!!! By the way, I wash this on delicate cycle in a closed zipper bra bag. Hang to dry. Fits the same after washing with no shrinkage. I've done this twice now.

I was very disappointed in the fit and feel of the bra. I measured myself exactly as they told me to, and the fit was WAY off!!!
Wacoal Response:
She does not mention if the bra was too big or too small. If it was too small she should try a bra with a fuller cup- like Wacoal Retro Chic 855186. If the bra was too large she should go to more average cup- like Wacoal Alluring 855107.

This bra fit fine and looked nice but the wires started digging into my skin. I don't really like wires but there wasn't enough padding around these wires for me.
Wacoal Response:
When the wire digs in on a good fitting bra like this one it generally indicates that it is the incorrect cup size. She should try this bra in 38 or 40 C and I believe that would solve
this problem.

So this is how a bra is supposed to fit!!! All my older bras had the same problem: no support even when new. It never occurred to me that after losing 20 pounds the band size would change. I ordered this bra after measuring several times just to be sure. I went from a 38D to a 36D. Now the 36 fits best of the second set of hooks so I might need to go down to 34 (but no one is going to get this one away from me, it makes me feel great). The cups fit perfectly! I took a good look at the cup fit of all my old bras: the 38D's were simply too large (which is why I stayed with a single D while going down a band size). I also noticed that I have absolutely no back fat and think my back may also be on the narrow side so I'll be checking a couple of band sizes to be sure. And: the center panel sits against my rib cage for the first time since my first training bra so many years ago. I urge women to carefully go through the "problems" list with an honest eye. I had irritation under the breasts, the band always rode up and straps were always falling down. Wacoal will probably be my bra of choice from now on. Better to spend a bit more on a bra that really fits than buy many cheaper ones that look awful.

This bra is almost perfect for me and it would be perfect with these two changes:
-The straps curl at the sides and end up cutting into my shoulders. They need to be either wider or heavier material.
-I have always bought size 42DDD and now I understand they are discontinuing the DDD in this bra.
I am really sad because it is so comfortable even with the strap problem that I prefer it over any bra I own. I can wear it with knits and have some shape instead of the usual round blobs that mimizers give me under a golf shirt etc.

I love this bra! This is the third bra of this type I have ordered over the last few years. It is so comfortable and light yet it gives me sufficient support. When needed, under some T-shirts, I use the "dimers" for extra coverage. They last through many washings. I can't say enough about how nice these bras are.

This bra fits great and supports quite well even for a person whose breasts are low on the chest. It is also very comfortable and the straps don't fall off of the shoulders easily. The only problems are it doesn't come in a 42 and the seam in the middle of the cup is not smooth enough to wear under thin sweaters.

This bra fit well, but I didn't like the shaping at all. My breasts are not huge and my nipples are quite perky, and this bra shot them straight out into the world unabashed. I'll stick to the lined bras rather than point at everyone.

I'm a 36DDD and have worn the feather bra for at least 20 years. I like the way it separates (no "uniboob") and prevents billowing out at the top and the sides. Unlike bra made entirely of synthetic materials such as nylon, it also "breathes." My only suggestion for improvement would be wider, no-cut-into-the-skin straps like Wacoal's "Suede" bra.

I first purchased this bra after getting a professional fitting at a major department store. This is the only underwire bra that I've ever tried that doesn't ride up, provides excellent support and is comfortable all day.
My only complaint is that it doesn't have padded straps.
I was very impressed by HerRoom's service, excellent follow up and speedy delivery. And the bras were wrapped in tissue paper with a little gold seal; it made me feel as if I'd bought them from a high-end store. I will definitely recommend HerRoom to others, and shop here again.

I recently lost weight and have had to downsize in bras. Having a heck of a time finding the right fit - found this one which fits beautifully. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is I am disappointed that this bras has stretch straps. I really have to crank them up to feel the amount of support that keeps me from bouncing too much. Otherwise, the fit of the cups and band are great. I am a 34D (down from 34DD) and I found the fit to be true to size .

Finally found a bra that can contain my entire breast. Not boobs spilling out the top or the sides (this is a first) Very comfortable around the band, but have found that at the end of the day the straps seem too thin and really start to cut in to my shoulder. Disappointing since I love everything else about this bra.

I really love this bra. It's so pretty and supportive. I love that center panel for excellent support! I'd say the only drawbacks are that you can feel a little pressure at the opening in back where the hooks are. It seems some reviewers feel the band runs a tiny bit snug. I absolutely measured more once so I could confidently order. Perhaps I will try a band size up next time (I hesitantly ordered a "D" cup instead of a "C" which turned out just right). Also the band is a little tight in front where the underwires are. Also, the straps fall down a bit. This always happens to me anyway. These little side issues do not stop me from rating this bra highly. You definitely feel good in this garment. I don't know if I will wear this under every shirt I own because of the seam but it does not seem a problem with every shirt. This is my first experience with HerRoom and their service seems fantastic. I appreciate everyone's review. It's very helpful when you're ordering something you're not trying on in person.

This bra by far is my favorite bra I have ever worn. I have worn this bra through my 40D days to my slimmer 38C days... and i have always been happy. The fit is WONDERFUL and the material and workmanship is Wacoal all the way!!! You can wear this bra from daytime to night time... It becomes a part of you. With my love of lingerie I own many bras and this one does double duty from office to night out... Just a wonderful piece of lingerie I couldn't do without. Stacy

This the best bra I've found so far. It fits me perfectly. Full coverage. It doesn't absorb colors from clothing: It's stain resistant. It's powerful mesh adds a lacy style. This bra provides the support of a SPORT bra and slight downward compression. That might sound bad but its really not. The breast tissue has to go somewhere and besides this still lifts them. I wear it for sports! The only issue is a slight pointyness. If this were smooth it would be the perfect bra.

Wacoal, please do not stop making this bra. Beauty and comfort are difficult to find in one bra. Make sure that you order a cup size that is large enough to contain all of the breast tissue in this bra. I was wearing this bra in a 32D and liked it. However, I tried it in a 32DD and it was so much better. This is a bra that I forget that I am wearing. It is not made to wear under T-shirts. Works well under blouses and dresses that are not knit. It really has a sexy look.

I bought this bra to wear everyday, to replace my favorite Wacoal styles, 85814 and 85185, which are no longer available in my size. The fit is good and my fiance complimented the design. The center seam is fairly prominent and shows up under a T-shirt. It's not as perfect as those Wacoal classics, but is pretty good. It would be even better without that center seam!

Very, very pretty and high quality construction. I'm usually a 32C so I got both a white (which turned out to be sort of off white, slightly yellow) 32C and a 32D naturally nude (wonderful color) just in case. The 32C did not fit properly (my breasts were spilling to the sides) but smashed them down a little which I liked. I want a minimizer after all. The 32D fit *perfectly* however they gave my breasts the shape of triangles like a 50s bullet bra shaped! The 32D put all my breasts froward like missiles. The 32C smashed them nicely even though they were pointy but I was spilling out of the wire cup on the sides. I LOVE this HerRoom.com website because of the comments, photos, and videos.. I'm about to order the Wacoal minimizer model 857138 here but I'm uncertain which size to order because I'm not familiar with any other Wacoal bras. HerRoom Response: Your description of how the 32D fit is correct - this bra does not have a rounded cup shape. As for your comment about white, Wacoal does not make white bras. They only make ivory bras.

I loved everything about this bra, apart from the way it made me look, sideways on. It is very comfortable, gives great support and uplift and looks reasonably pretty for a full-figure bra. But in profile it made me look enormous. And very cone-shaped. I know it deosn't claim to be a minimizer, but I found it was actually a maximizer! Not what I need with a DD cup size. Will be going back to the wonderful Wacoal 85814 style.

I have worn this bra in various chest sizes with DD-DDD cups for more than 25 years. It avoids the "uniboob" look, separating over-abundant breasts without making them look cone-shaped or pointy or causing them to jut out like the prow of a ship. I'd give it 5 stars if the straps were wider, like the Wacoal BodySuede bra, which would prevent the straps from digging into the shoulders of those of us whose cup size has ventured farther into the alphabet than we would like. If washed carefully and line-dried, this bra lasts a long time!

I've been wearing this bra for almost a month. I am very comfortable in it. There are NO areas that irritate me like many others I've worn. It has good support, pretty cups, and the ivory color is unique. I would only give it a thumbs down in terms of a smooth cup under clothes. It has a cup seam that is very noticeable no matter what I wear. But I'll deal with that. It would be worse if I was always tugging at an uncomfortable bra! HerRoom Response: One suggestion to reduce/eliminate cup seams from showing is to wear a camisole over your bra.

This bra is just a perfect fit. I knew it was perfect the first time I put it on. The lift is wonderful for my middle age bosom. I usually buy bandless bras, because I am short waisted and banded bras often roll when I sit, but this band stays in place. The bra is superbly comfortable. Nothing digs or pinches. I don't wear it with knits, but have other Wacoal bras for these clothes. I love Wacoal and with they made more non-contour bras in a B cup.

When I discovered that the Wacoal I had been wearing for 30 years was discontinued (85109), I was devastated because it took me many years and lots of expense to find that one. This comes very close. It was comfortable the minute I put it on, even w/o prewashing. The cups are a nice snug fit all over, no gapping. The only thing I like is a more pointed and to the center lift, but this will do until Wacoal comes to their senses and starts making the 85109 again, I hope.

Love my Wacoal Bras! Even on long days they are very comfortable, very sexy, well made bras. I hadn't really heard of Wacoal until about 8 years ago when a saleslady encouraged me to try one on and have purchased many since. Sales assistant suggested this one to replace my discontinued favorite style and she was right. Don't let the price deter you, it is worth more just for the comfort not to mention how sexy it looks.

Love it! It is without a doubt the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. Pretty too and supportive. The size seems very true. And accommodating; hides or "opens up" to include the underarm flap some of us have. No bulges in the back either, just wish someone would make a bra to include the "flap" I have in front of my underarm. Ah well, can't have it all!
Great service and lightening fast.

After having reconstruction, I was looking for a pretty, sexy, comfortable bra. I have found it! This bra provides great support, but looks like just a wisp of a thing. If you want great support but want to feel a little foxy under that business suit, this is the bra for you.

An absolutely wonderful bra. I have always had a terrible time finding a bra that fit until a friend told me about Wacoal. I now have three of them and just love them!

Great support and fit. It's hard to find 34DD's that are built to support heavier breast tissue...but this one has the 3 hook closure and a seamed cup. The seam was not as noticeable as I expected. The bra works well with everything except very snug t-shirts. My back is feeling better and my husband is so grateful not to hear anymore about my "bra issues"!

Because I've lost weight, I keep buying this bra in various sizes. Love it, love it. It's sexy, comfortable and supportive. What more can you ask for? Maybe just a tad more coverage in the nippage but I'll get a contour bra for that. Love this bra! Have bought it at least six times in various sizes.

I have worn this bra for years, in whatever size my body has been. It is comfortable, supportive and pretty.
My one complaint is that after a month or so the underwires begin to squeak with movement. I use the hand wash cycle and air dry.

This is a very comfortable bra, but is not great for t-shirts and other clingy fabrics as it doesn't cover up the nipples.

I agree with Dee about the straps -- I'm also a DDD and the straps on this roll and sometimes dig -- the straps on, for instance, the Arabesque don't do that, but the lace on that bra makes it not great under some fabrics. Strangely, while the first few times I wore this bra the digging was uncomfortable, I seem to have built up a tolerance to it, as this is now my favorite bra to wear -- as long as I'm not wearing anything low cut. The shape it gives me is fantastic; love it under a thin jersey shirt. Stays nice and narrow in the ribcage, and I think I'm actually a fan of that 'pointy' '50s look...

The straps never slip off my shoulder. It's a smooth supported bra without feeling like it's too confining.

Finally a bra that really fits me. I am an odd size according to every department store I've ever been in, 32DDD. I finally found some 32DD's that were tolerable but this is wonderful. My only complaint is that it does look bad under thinner t-shirts that's why I'm getting ready to try one of the smoother cup styles.

Thank You Wacoal for making Bras in Size 32C. I never realized how bras were really supposed to fit until I was fitted with a Wacoal . Because she never had one in Black, I ordered this one from you and WOW...I love it. I think this is the first time in my 60 years of life that I have ever had a bra that fit so beautifully. Very sexy. Very feminine. I just love it.

I am so happy I finally found a bra that doesnt attack me when I move. It is very comfortable. I have just ordered another but went to a c cup to compare as I am petite but have a bit of plump figure for 70 years old. I wish I had found this many years ago. Your info page is so helpful. thank you never to old to learn Marge

This is one of my very favorites! It is pretty, sexy, and yet offers plenty of support. This is the only bra I have found that actually gives me separation. However, the 4-star rating is because of the scrawny straps. It is my only complaint. The problem is that the straps are woefully undersized to be supporting DDD-sized breasts. (This has been an ongoing Wacoal problem for years.) After a few washings, the straps start to "roll" causing them to dig and cut into your shoulders. Yet, this bra fits so well, I will continue to buy it but I will also buy pads that fit under the straps to make it even more comfortable.

I love this bra and its very supportive and gives good lift. My only complaint is that on almost every single one i've owned (and that's been at least 10) the underwire has popped out of a hole on the side. Its obviously some sort of a defect and it can be annoying to deal with. But, other than that, its a great bra. Beautiful and supportive. HerRoom Response: It is important that bras not be put in the dryer. The casing that covers the wires can shrink from the heat and cause the wire to poke out.

I searched years for a decent fitting bra, until I found this one. I love it! The most comfortable bra ever. I bought 3 more. My husband likes them too. He says they look sexy compared to my other ones. I will never buy any other brand now. I can wear this bra all day without it pinching, or riding up, or the straps constantly falling down, or the lace itching. It is fabulous!!!!
