Dedicated to the proposition that pregnant and nursing women are still feminine, sexual individuals with a need for pretty support and comfort, Tracey Montford began Cake Maternity in 2008. The former Creative Arts teacher, who was based in London, England, was 32 when she had her first child. Since her previous bras and sleepwear no longer fit, she wanted styles similar to the ones she wore pre-pregnancy. She searched high and low for nursing and maternity lingerie that was attractive, stylish and comfortable - and found that it did not exist! She talked to many women with the same complaint, and decided to attend Fashion School to learn about product construction and details.  She researched manufacturing options and finally discovered one that met her quality expectations. Tracey founded Cake Maternity to give pregnant and nursing moms everywhere the beautiful styles they crave, at one of the most wonderful times in their lives. Cake Maternity celebrates pregnancy, delivering beautiful, well-constructed bras and other intimate fashions that women will be proud of and that complement their glowing, newly curvaceous figures.
