It’s a very natural occurrence for most women to lose their breast fullness or find their breasts heading south. It’s no big deal, because there are great bra choices available to make you look full and uplifted. You just need to know what features to look for, and how to put yourself into your bra correctly.
Deflated and pendulous breasts require a little more time to maneuver their breast tissue properly into a bra. But the extra time pays off in a better looking bustline. Bending forward 90 degrees. Let the apex of your breasts fall into the center of each cup, bring the cups up towards your breasts, then fasten the back of your bra. Standing up, reach into each cup with your opposite hand, and pull your breast tissue into the cups making sure your underwire is sitting in your breast crease, and all your breast tissue is positioned in front of your underwire and towards the center. Any fluffing can be smoothed with your fingers. (we may want to do this last step on a mannequin.)
These breast types need support, lift, shape, containment and coverage. So, here are the bra features to look for.
An underwire will give you great support and shape.
Seams in the cups – especially vertical seams - lift shape and give the best support.
Side support panels bring breast tissue forward and out from under your arms.
Straps that pull more from the center of the cup give the best lift.
Full coverage cups contain your breast tissue and reduce spillage.
A sweetheart neckline is a good option if you don’t want full coverage. It will give you enough coverage for breast tissue containment while showing some cleavage.
Center panels that come up to the apex line will provide support and reduce breast spillage.
A bump pad along the bottom of the cup lifts your breasts to create more fullness.
There are also features you should avoid. They are:
Bras with a plunging neckline, because when you lean forward, your breast tissue could spill out.
Demi and balconette style bras do not have enough upper breast coverage. Your exposed breast tissue will probably look giggly and could again fall out of your bra when you lean forward. And, these bras usually come with wide-set straps which don’t provide center breast lift.
T-shirt bras made of rigid foam. Soft breast tissue tends to move around inside the cups and can also fall out.
So, with these thoughts in mind, here are some great bra choices.
Push-up bras with graduated pads and breast coverage. A great choice if you are wanting your breasts to look larger and fuller. This pad pushes your breasts upward to create a rounder look. Curvy Couture 1017 Tulip lace
Bras where the upper cup has stretch. This feature creates a custom fit for each breast and keeps them in place. Prima Donna Madison Full Cup Bra 016-2120
Full coverage T-shirt bras made with spacer foam. Spacer foam provides modesty and breathability while also being malleable. It won’t be so stiff that the cups might gap. It is the best foam for containing soft breast tissue. Wacoal Basic Beauty Underwire Spacer T-shirt Bra 853192
Minimizer bras are a great choice because they are designed to hold breast tissue in place and in a specific shape while also being full coverage. So, there will be no concern about breast tissue spillage. Chantelle C Magnifique Molded Minimizer Underwire Bra 1891
Multi-part cup bras or cut & sew bras. These bras have seams in the cups. And seamed cup bras are the most supportive, give the best shape, and come with great coverage. Fantasie Alex Underwire Bra with Side Support FL9152
One final point. If you find your breast tissue constantly falling out of your cups, this is a clear indication you do not have enough cup capacity. Try going up one cup size.
Elomi Carmen is a great bra for all of this: https://www.herroom.com/elomi-el4010-carmen-underwire-plunge-bra-with-stretch-cup.shtml Monica from Chantelle - Sweetheart neckline, t-shirt bras. Bras that work well are Rive Gauche, and UK products:
Georgia from Wacoal –Halo lace. Scoop with opposite hand and pull tissue towards the center. Basic beauty 855192. Red Carpet Strapless. Awareness wire 85567. A sling inside brings in the tissue of basic benefits 853290.
