Purchased the red lace. Lace is soft. The bra has no support in the straps and closure is too small. Being a professional seamstress and costume designer, I purchased another red bra and worked the lace into the front.. Much better

The item was too small since I have very pendulous breasts.
HerRoom Response: You are correct. A chopper or shelf bra requires firm-shaped breasts. Otherwise, breasts will hang strangely and look misshaped.

My new favorite bra! I have big (DD), low breasts--still nice, but low. If I pull the straps as tight as possible, they give a bit of support. The only downside is that the bones that come up underneath the breast are not attached to the underwire, so from time to time they poke me and I have to readjust them.

I wear a 40(D7). This does not fit, which I was expecting. However, it is much looser in the band than I anticipated. Gave it to a relative who wear 42C, and she says it fits as expected and. She stated it is for special occasions and not an everyday wear for her.

Very good support. I have another brand and it is going back. This one is a keeper. My breasts are low and this bra just covers the nipples. In the photo, the bra is pulled down lower than what you might wear it, which can be a little misleading. Still it holds up and supports well.

Very lovely. The problem with it is that the straps are too stretchy, so getting it to hold you up is not going to happen. More than likely this item would be very cute on a smaller busted woman.

I do not recommend this bra for DD+ sizes. It does not offer any support or lift and I am confused that it is offered for big sizes that need this the most. I was disappointed with the material which the bra was made of and the useless straps and bra back band. This bra is suitable for small sizes with natural lift or implants for aesthetics.
Vendor Response: This is a shelf bra. It is meant to only fit C/D and DD at the very most.

I normally wear a size 42 or 44, this was a little big. I put the back strap hook on the last "notch" and it still seemed a little big. I adjusted the straps to the smallest you can get and after all of this, it still seemed a little big. Keep in mind there is no underwire or support so you may want to order a size smaller than normal.
Shirley of Hollywood Response: May we suggest that you try this same style in a size 40. We feel that you would completely satisfied if you sized down in the band.

My wife is cup D and gravity has done its thing. It fit just fine. She tied a knot in the shoulder straps to shorten them - will sew it later. Loved the Bra concept BUT - it just doesn't work for "Real" boobs! I think you really need to have implants or "VERY" perky boobs to pull this one off. I read so many comments about how this bra would work great for "full figured" and large busted women. There is no way this bra could handle my volume -- even though so many comments from women in a size 44 said it would -- very disappointing. I have no idea how you are holding anything up with this bra. The straps are so thin and so elastic they don't support at all but leave gouges in your shoulders. The "shelf" is nothing more that a piece of fabric with boning in it. Make no mistake, this bra is for small busted women.

Runs big, I ordered 1 size smaller and should have ordered it 2 sizes smaller. The straps are very flimsy too, no support. I had to sew them up a little more to get them tighter. Not for everyday use (which is not why I bought it for) the scalloped edges show through and looks rough. Very pretty and sexy for that special night though. Probably wouldn't buy it again.
Shirley of Hollywood Response: Straps are adjustable and you can adjust the back size, there is no cup size on this bra. Yes, you are correct in that this is not meant for everyday use.

The bra looks nice, but doesn't do anything for you. The boning is too light to hold shape straight and the worst part is that the straps are made of a very very loose elastic that extends all the way down to your waist, even when you fit the adjustable straps at the tightest/ highest possible position
worse even, the straps are not removable for me to replace them with others with a better hold. Overall, sad experience, cant return it since I opened the item and its lingerie, do not purchase unless you are A cups in which case you wont need it.
Shirley of Hollywood Response: This is a shelf bra and is not made for daily support. It is also made for a C or D cup only.

Overall, I like this bra. My husband LOVES it. ;) The lace is very soft and I didn't experience any scratchiness. The bra is generously sized - I usually wear a 40 and it seems a little loose.
It was hard for me to tell exactly how the bra should fit on me. The real-life model in the photo is wearing the bra really low on her body. When I wear it that low, it's just weird-looking. When I wear it up where a bra is usually worn, I had the same problem as some other reviewers: the center stay in the "cup" area juts out farther than the girls do -- and I'm a D.
I didn't have time to return/exchange, so my solution was the same as some other reviewers: I opened up the casing for the center stay, nipped off about 1/2 inch, and sewed it back down (all by hand -- didn't need a machine).
The resulting fit looks OK under clothing as long as it isn't something very drape-y or tight-fitting.

I like the idea of this sexy bra; I know it's not meant to be worn as a regular bra. It's flimsy and of less-than-desired quality. I had to add an extra bra hook so I could close it as a 38 is obviously made for a larger woman overall.

I recently got measured and bought bra's at a local dept store so that I would have the correct measurements. This is my second shelf bra, the first not having big enough cups. The cups in this bra were too big. I'm a 40 DD and the center support stick comes up right to where my nipple is creating this look that I have 'headlights' on all the time. Doesn't give me a very flattering shape. Still looking for the right shelf bra for those special evenings.

Although I really liked the look of the bra, it offered no support from the straps and it really isn't made for large busted 38H women. I ordered a 40 thinking it would give a little more cup, no such luck. The advert should really say for small/medium busted women. I had to send it back.
HerRoom Response: Bras like this simply don't look great on women with breast sizing larger than a D cup.

Very sexy! Nice color! HerRoom is right - the bra is not designed to be worn under clothing (except maybe under a thick sweater) because the ribbing will show. The only issue I had was that the cups were too large along the top for my size B chest so there was a gap between me and the bra at the top. But I fixed that with a needle and a little thread. And it has my husband's approval as well!

This bra isn't the best if you have bigger, natural breasts. I ordered a 38 to accommodate my 34DD cup size. The cup size was great, but of course the bra was too big around. I made it work, though. I doctored up by taking in a few inches on both sides and on each bra strap to allow more support. -- My Valentine's Day gift to my man was perfect. His jaw hit the floor! If you can take the time to make the bra fit for you, it's sooooooo worth it!!!!

Very pretty bra, ordered in black and had high hopes for something "fun" to wear. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.

My big boobs did not sit up but there is really not much support in this garment. Pretty color.

Elastic around has no resistance. Even in the tightest position, it just hangs there. Offers no support at all, totally useless, waste of money. HerRoom Response: Sounds like you needed a smaller band size.

someone needs to inform the manufacturers of bras that elastic straps do not help the full figured woman. and the bands under the bras need to be wider with more than one hookin the back. Someone needs to sell sexy and still functional bras for full figure girls. I am still looking for them. The bras I ordered are nice, but they are very unsubstantial and do not hold up the breast as they should. the elastic straps are one of the biggest problems. HerRoom Response: This bra is not designed to really hold up much of anything, nor be worn for very long.

This garment is beautiful and sexy, but could really use a stronger support system for larger cup sizes.

This is a lovely bra! I just couldn't believe how beautiful it looked as I unwrapped it. Wearing it, I see that it could use a bit stronger (maybe non-stretch) shoulder straps and the band could, for larger sizes, be another row of hook & eye wider, hence the 4 star rating. It works fine, though, to hold up and display my breast forms when they are attached to my chest with tapes. Want to show off your nipples? This is the one to do it, girls. The bra "cups" are strong enough to hold up my breasts and the support boning in the cups do what they are supposed to. Would I recommend this bra to other girls? Definitely YES! Any girl who wants a sexy, functional, exciting bra would do herself a favor with this one. I got mine in red and it's hot!

This bra was very pretty but just doesn't work with fuller breasts. I guess if you are a 36/38 DD/DDD you need more than boning to get ANY lift/support from a shelf bra.

I liked the garment, however , the straps are located too wide for small frame.

It is true that average size breasts seem to fit better in this style. I love the natural feel and still it offers my needed support.

Although the bra was very nice, there was no way it was going to hold up my (natural) 44D's. I would guess that this product may be geared for ladies with implants and their breasts are higher and firmer. It's not the choice for naturals as large as mine.

If you have very large breasts, as I do, (40 DDDD) you won't like this. Actually, when I put it on, I couldn't even see it due to my boobs completely covering it. For someone with average size breasts, it may work, but definitely not for the "muy grande chichis" I have!!

My standard bra size is a 40DD, but once I tried it on I realized I probably would have been okay with a 38DD. It's just a little big but it's really beautiful. The straps are a little skinny and a little long, but in all honesty it wasn't on for very long! I didn't buy it for an everyday bra.

This is a beautiful bra. I love it. I have purchased it for when my fiance' gets back into town. I plan on wearing it under a form fitting black blouse so that he can see and feel everything underneath. I think that it will be a magical experience for both of us.
I ordered the next smaller size since I am an actual size 40 because usually the cup sizes are assumed that you are larger than a B if you have that measurement and it worked out well.
I will more than likely order more in other colors. Beautiful and sexy!!

Bra did not fit at all. The stays pointed outward. I actually wear C cup but must by D cup to accommodate wideness of my breast from center of cleavage to outer edge. I purchased a 38 although I wear 36 because I thought the cup would be wider.
I tore all the tags off the bra before trying it on so I ended up keeping the bra even though it is unwearable.

I bought this bra for myself and for my fiance`. I love it. The coloring (red) is beautiful and I love the style. I forget that even though I am a 40 around most 40s are for C or D cups. I do love it though and have reordered in the 38. I know that will work. It is a very sexy and stimulating item to add to anyones collection of lingerie. I will not stop ordering from HerRoom the brands and styles and quality will keep me coming back. Shipping is quick and easy never a problem with getting my order in a very quick time frame.

The previous reviews were on the mark -- this shelf bra doesn't work for C-cups. It can't handle the weight of the tissue and folds down in the center. The end of the 3 boning lines in the cups were very obvious in sticking up and out. Only try it if you're a B-cup or smaller -- C-cups need to look elsewhere! HerRoom Response: It really depends on the breast. Augmented women will not have a problem. If your breasts are heavy, your comment is probably accurate.

I was disappointed, I waited so long to get this and it just doesn't work for me. My breasts are large and in charge. Their is no support for a large busted woman. I had to return them ($60) worth of merchandise,

would have like to have had a little more support in the side with large breast it takes a little more support to hold us up the side panels are too weak and so are the shoulder straps when holding up that much weight you need more support will make do will try to modify saving it for New Year have not worn yet

What a great bra, I have 4 of these and love the way my granny boobies lay on the shelf. They have never looked so good in a bra. I can go with or without nipples my choice and as far as the boning that was a problem for me as well when wearing it under thin blouses, however I snipped the center boning off 1/2 inch and I no longer have this problem I can wear them for all occasions now, and yes you definitely get attention all eyes on me now!!! I love the attention I get when wearing this bra as well as the comfort, I feel like I'm not wearing a bra except without the sag and droop. I have my perky boobs back of yesteryear. Hope they don't ever stop making this one for big breasts.

Very pretty and sexy but it provides very little support. I really wanted to surprise the hubby but the boning made me look like I had 3 nipples on each breast. The boning was stiff and pointy and showed threw everything I tried on. HerRoom Response: This bra is not really meant to be worn under clothing.

After reading all your great reviews on this bra I went ahead and ordered myself one. I fill all my regular C cup bras completely and even budge out over the top of some. I've tried other shelf bras but they just didn't fit right. They give no support at all so my girls just laid there. But this one fits great. The cups are bigger so they cradle your breast instead of just bunching up under them and the strategically placed boning does a fantastic job of making my girls defy all the laws of gravity. I give this 5 stars and I'm ordering myself some more

WOW! I love this bra! I have always been a bit on the "fluffy side", and have never been able to go without a bra, but with this bra i feel like i am almost not wearing one at all, plus i feel so sexy in this bra! When my fiance gets back from Iraq I'm sure he will be very appreciative!

OK girls, looks like I am going to be the first man to admitt that I purchased this for my wife. Being the dirty old man man that I am (60 YOA) I just wondered what Granny would look like wearing this little number. All I can say is OMG those puppies never looked better!! I am pretty sure Granny wishes I had found this a long time ago!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

After 50 plus years, gravity is not my friend. I've tried on many other shelf bras but they offered NO support for my 40D size, probably having been made for the anti-gravity 20 something figure. The bones in the construction actually are positioned to support and display attractively. This bra finally allows me to greet my husband with his favorite view (now that the kids are all out of the house)! I only wish the blue color would become available in my size soon.

I feel so sexy when I wear this and when I come home for work, my hubby of twenty years..... we'll just say he treats me like when we were first dating! This bra is awesome. So lite and small, you don't know its even there. I can wear my nipples in or out when I feel sexy. The freedom with this bra is great and it only has one hook.Amazing for a bigger girl like me. I give it five stars.

Even though I'm a 42DD, I love to show off my body - the shelf bra certainly does that! It doesn't leave much to the imagination under a sheer, low-cut shirt, either. I do get lots of attention!
