I am so very pleased with my slips. I'm wearing it now, as I only wear ankle-length skirts that I make myself. I'm 5'5" tall, 143 lbs, and 38-32-40. I'm normally a size 10. The size Large slip fit me perfectly. It comes right above my ankles. I needed a long slip to wear under a sari, and I've never worn a sari before. I figured this would be more reusable to me than an actual cotton sari petticoat. I bought these as soon as I saw them online, because I wear a lot of A-line long skirts, and I like to have a slip to keep them from clinging to tights in the winter. I've been hanging on to a couple of old silk batiste half-slips because they were no longer made, but they were in tatters and I needed something new. I like natural fibers, but I can wear nylon without too much discomfort, and these were the right shape and length. I appreciate having a choice of lengths, since I am 5'2". These could be better in two ways. 1) Use a woven, rather than knit, fabric, so there's less chance of static build-up with knit tights and knit skirts in cold weather, which defeats the whole purpose of wearing a slip. 2) Use a more breathable fabric, such as one with cotton, rayon, or silk in it. I realize the second suggestion would add to the cost, but I would have been happy to pay more for a better fabric. The slip is the perfect length. I am 5'3" and it comes down to the floor on me. However the elastic is snug enough that it's comfortable on my hips but I can still pull it up to my waist without it falling down. When I do that it comes to just an inch or so above my anklebones (perfect for ankle-length skirts). I'm 5'4" and this slip is just slightly too long for some of my maxi skirts. It peeks out from the bottom of my ankle length maxi skirts. It is fine under a skirt that comes all the way to the top of my feet. it's almost impossible to find a long half slip. But with all the maxi dressesand skirts, I felt I needed one or two. These are excellent! I bought these as a gift for a special woman who spends more time taking care of others than she does herself. Basically, she just never buys herself anything above the base item needed. Frankly, I was stunned by these half slips. They are made of whisper-thin material than keeps them light and free-moving without a hint of static build-up. Very elegant. In fact, given the quality, I'm amazed at the price point being so low. Incredibly worth the price and for her expression when she ran her hand over them and then raced to try one on. I purchased this slip in black. It was comfortable in every way, light, silky, and fell loosely (as opposed to being constrictive - I could not tell I was wearing it. I needed a half slip to wear under my ankle length, completely sheer black dress - I wore a black cami for the upper part of the dress, and this slip was absolutely perfect for the lower part. Even though the dress was VERY sheer, no one could tell I was wearing a slip, or see through it no matter what the lighting. I am 5' 3-1/2" tall, and the slip fell just above my ankles.
