Have bought this brand before. The cup on this bra was very small. I have a full breast and need a large cup but would say this bra has an average-sized cup.

HerRoom Response: Your review is very surprising. This Madison bra style is famous for its deep cup design. In fact, it has been around for many years and is a tried & true bra style is a massive fan base. Melanie from Katy/Texas?USA

I was hoping the Prima Donna would wow me, but it just didn't. The bra is lovely and somewhat delicate, for lack of a better word. Unfortunately for me, one side of the underwire seems to dig in uncomfortably due to breast asymmetry. In addition, I had to size up on this bra. I am keeping it, but I doubt I'll buy another.

Prima Donna Response: I appreciate your response and I am sorry this style didn't work out for you. I would love for you to try a Deauville style as I think it would provide you with a better fit. The Deauville has a bit more depth which could help avoid any pressure and wire digging. Ann from Raleigh, NC

This is a beautiful bra - but not for someone with a long torso. It feels like I'm being cut under the arm pits.

Prima Donna Response: Hi Ellie, thank you for your feedback! This is a Full Cup style bra, so it is designed to provide a lot of coverage. I would recommend adjusting the straps so you have some room. If that doesn't work you may want to try a different style cup with some less coverage - I would recommend trying a Balcony or Balconette style, you may find the cup doesn't cut as far up and is more comfortable for you. I was leary of purchasing a bra online. I most often find bras that say they are 34G aren’t actually and are too small. I have worn primarily Wacoal minimizes in 34G for years. I wanted something new. Something pretty, so I took a chance on this bra. It fits well! It is comfortable. It’s not a minimizer so less breast pushed to sides, which is a slimming front view. The only drawback is it’s not a minimizer, so more out front and the shape is a bit pointed for me. I’ve read in other reviews that resolves with a few washes. We’ll see! Loretta from Minnesota

This bra didn't fit. I only wore it one day because the underwire continued to dig into my chest more and more through out the day. I will probably never wear it again. Too painful.

I should have tried this brand a LONG TIME AGO! Finally, I have found something that makes me happy. Very comfortable and supportive for heavy uneven breasts. The band size is perfect - not too tight, nor too lose. I have to say that this brand blows away the fit of Chantelle bras. I am sticking with Prima Donna from now on. Michelle from MA

Very comfortable. Band is very firm initially. My only disappointment is that the cup and straps tend to give a little bit more than what I would expect for a large cup size 34I. I am going to keep this bra to see how the material holds up over time. The shape is as close to perfect as I have ever found! I have purchased 100's of bras in the past few years trying to find the one. Prima Donna is now my go to brand. So glad I discovered it about a year ago. I have four different styles now and do highly recommend this brand. Worth the money and they are so pretty and sexy at the same time! Mom on the Go! from Angola IN

I have been looking for a "good" bra for many years. My size has changed over the years, and it has been difficult to find something that fit and was comfortable. This is the one! I hate paying a lot for a bra, but I haven't pulled, tugged or adjusted this bra in over a week. It's comfortable. It fits. And most importantly.....my boobs are where they should be!!! LOVE. The last few Prima Donna bras have only had two clips in the back so was thrilled to see this now has three (in my size) which is just better for my fit. If you have large, heavy breasts then stay away from this bra. Straps are elastic and do not hold up cups. There are only two hooks in the back so when you tighten the straps to support the front, the back creeps up your back. So disappointed. Laura from Chicago

It's so nice to have a nice looking bra with color options available for the large person. This has to be the most comfortable bra I have EVER owned. They are expensive but I've managed to save up and now have 5 of them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I have begun to notice, with age, they allow some shifting and sagging to happen as the day goes on. This bra is still light years ahead of other bras I've tried. I highly recommend purchasing one of these and seeing for yourself. BBW from Providence, RI USA

This bra is very comfortable while still being supportive. It is a wonderful bra for bigger breasts, uplifting and slimming. I have 3 now and wear them exclusively. The only con I can think of is that the lace pattern sometimes shows through depending on the fabric of the top I'm wearing but that is easily remedied with a camisole. Lisa from Chicago

Prima Donna Bras fit like a T. Once you got your size you and style (aka full bust vs balcony) you can order them without fretting if it will fit or not. It will fit. I have been wearing Prima Donna for 20 years and have not found anything better for a bigger bra-size. Some might say they are pricey, but they hold up for years. Nic from California

Purchased my first "real bras" 16 years ago I bought 3 Prima Donna Deauville style that I'm still wearing today. The PD Madison I just purchased is an amazing bra for full figured, well endowed woman. It is my 2nd bra in the Madison style and fits better than the 1st one I believe due to different cup size. This one is 44E, 1st one is 44G which fits and feels great even with the extra space in cup size. I love Prima Donna. I wish I had been better educated about bras, proper sizing, health benefits for the back, neck & the girls! Knowledge about my sleeping bras would have benefitted me as well. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!! (Ironically I just discovered the underwire sin my white PD Deauville has broken in half - I paid $152.00 for this bra over 16 years ago! No complaints here about spending less than $10/year for such a high quality, well made garner!) Cathy from Houston, Tx. USA

I am forever on the search for a bra that will be supportive for heavy breasts that can be painful. This bra is close and very good. It's supportive, the cups offer full but not overwhelming coverage, and it's comfortable. I do wish it had 3 hooks - I wish more 38D cup bras in general had 3 hooks. I need more support from the band because the straps can get uncomfortable by the end of the day. Mary from Virginia

This bra changed my life! The three-part cup provides lift and support without needing the help of the straps. This means I no longer get dents in the skin of my shoulders! I love this bra. This is my second one. It is full enough coverage to not cut and create lines, but not so full that I feel matronly and drab. The straps are comfortable and the slides stay put, even after hard wear for a year. The straps are a little wider set, but I like that they don't show in a boat neck top. I love Prima Donna. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a 5 is the fact that they have changed the material used for the label. It is now plastic and if left in the bra, it itches or irritates all day. For such a fantastic product line, bad move to save a few pennies! Sad to see it from West Chicago

I love this bra. I first got it in 32H, but found it was not as flat to my sternum as I have grown used to. I ordered the 32I, which felt great, except the band was smaller than the 32H, and made it difficult to put on. I started wearing the 32I and I feel much better with it. I received this bra and thought it was pretty and liked the styling. Unfortunately, it didn't fit me well at all. My usual size is a 42B. I normally wear a size 18/20W in regular clothing. This bra was too tight, the cups were too small and the size of the back band was very narrow. The narrow back made me look like I had a major "back fat" issue. I did, however, think the bra was well constructed and was delivered quickly. I was surprised by the packaging when I received the bra because it was not in a box, but in a bag. I returned the bra and was very pleased with the speed of return, as well as the emails informing me of the return progress. I would order again from this company based on the professional way the return was handled. Jokrgirl from Wisconsin

This bra is amazing. Gives your breasts a great shape and good cleavage also! Very comfortable. It has a nice stretch to it around the band -- more stretchy than other bras I own. Prima Donna is definitely the only brand of bra I'll buy. The lace area on top is a nice contrast to the smooth, stretchy bottom and the straps are nice and wide -- they offer great support! I recommend ANY Prima Donna bra that claims to have a 3 part cup. It has these amazing side panels that really keep everything supported if you have a larger bust (I'm 36I.) Heather

The bra is beautiful, but uncomfortable: itchy and the wire poked under my armpit, although technically the bra did fit. For this price the bra should offer better support, which is my main complaint. I can put up with a little discomfort if the bra does the job of holding up the girls, but this one was not great It did not really contain the side breast tissue.

Prima Donna Response: This is one of our most comfortable and best fitting styles. The fact that the wire is poking out and you feel that it does not hold all of the side breast tissue makes me think you need to go up a size. it might be a tad too small on you, which in turn is making it fit uncomfortably. Perhaps you should try a J (D7) cup. Brenda from Butler, NJ

I first ordered this bra after receiving a bra fitting at a lingerie store. I had been way off in the size I was wearing, both band and cup size, and this was the first bra that felt like I wasn't wearing anything! It lifts and separates my breasts without causing strain to my shoulders. The straps almost felt unnecessary just because the body of the bra was so supportive. The first Prima Donna Madison bra I ordered was the best bra I've every owned, and I still wear it a lot 7 months later! However, the second bra I ordered (when I could afford it!) hasn't fit as well even though it's the exact same size. The straps fall off my shoulders, which is a problem I've NEVER encountered before in my life. I have adjusted them every which way possible, and it still happens. I don't know what made the second bra different than the first, but I'm not 5-star satisfied anymore. I'm also putting off ordering a 3rd bra just because it's a lot of money, and I don't want to spend that much if it's not the best bra ever. Nicole from Maine

Love the fabric and support, especially on the sides that keep the breast tissue from being pushed into the armpit. My main complaint is that the fabric puckers just a little bit around the apex area and it shows through smooth fabric. I've tried all the sister sizes and this is the right size for me. The cost of the bra is too high to begin with and for the price, I wanted a perfect fit. Still, I'm keeping it to see how it bears up over time. Maimee from Baltimore, MD USA

The Prima Donna Madison Madison bra is the best bra I have ever owned! I have bought several and I wear them so much to the point they eventually wear out. It's comfortable, it fits well and it looks great too. Once you wear this bra, you'll notice the quality and you won't be able to go back to other cheaper bras. It's worth every penny for comfort especially if you are in the higher size range. Angela from Miami/FL/USA

This bra is really comfortable for me, at first, but the boning on the side (or is it the under wire) starts to jab into the side of my breast after a while and becomes quite painful. I'm really curious if there is another Prima Donna style that offers this great support and shape, but without the side problem. Sherry from Quebec

I've been wearing this wonderful bra for 6 years and I love it. It fits my slightly uneven chest perfectly and I can wear it all day without shoulder pain. I know the price is steep, but I adjust my budget in other areas because I suffered with shoulder pain (and inability to find my size) for most of my adult life. This is a small price to pay for relief after a lifetime of pain. Thank you, Prima Donna! Keep making your wonderful quality bras and underwear! Nana from Portland, OR USA

I have been wearing the madison for the last 8 years. I buy 3 every 3 years because that's about they last with me. I hand wash them and rotate the colors. They are the best fitting and the most comfortable bra I have ever worn! One of my breasts is slightly larger than the other and this bra accomodates that completely. This year I bought two beautiful new colors (cap verde and florida) and will be getting the matching undies soon. You can't go wrong with this bra! Linda from Portland, Oregon

I recently had a bra fitting and discovered I've been wearing the wrong size. This is the bra that the attendant used to find my correct size, and it was amazing how comfortable this bra was in the right size. I wanted to get it on sale, though, so I ordered it from herroom.com. This bra lifts and separates better than any other bra I've worn, all without having the straps pulled tight! I used to think I was a 36DDD and some of my bras were even 38DD, I was properly measured and I'm a true 34DDD. This bra band did fit very comfortable. It's just really baggy on the lacy part of the top of the cup. Not a tight enough fit for a DDD in my honest opinion. Frances from New York, NY

I never have had this level of comfort in any bra I have ever worn, and the lift and shape your breasts achieve from it is absolutely amazing! It feels like I had a breast lift and liposuction, minus the expense and downtime. No matter what your cup size is, you need to own this bra. And the fact that it is gorgeous and soft just tops the whole thing off. Invest in the Madison and you will look and feel awesome. Trust me, you are worth it. Meredith

I can't say enough great things about this bra! Then I saw this bra on the Her Room site and it looked so pretty. I read the rave reviews and I thought- OK I'll try it. OMG!!! It is my new favorite bra!!! First off, it is hands down THE MOST COMFORTABLE BRA I have EVER WORN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! It is SOOOO soft! I see now what the next level up in price offers and that is a softer more luxurious fabric. This bra holds everything in, gives a great shape and looks fantastic under anything, t-shirt, blouse, dress. After a 20-pound weight loss (and a new bra size) I needed all new lingerie, and this was one of my first purchases. This and the Deauville were both recommended to me. I chose this style over the Deauville because it was far more comfortable. I preferred the look as well. The sheer portion of the cup comes down lower on the Deauville -- for some shapes that might look sexy, but I felt like it made me appear saggy. The Madison does what it needs to -- pulls everything in, lifts and gives a nice rounded shape. The lace is super-soft and stretchy yet feels supportive. One drawback for me is that this bra doesn't come in a 30 band (Deauville does). I'm wearing the 32 in the tightest hook so it might become a little too loose as it stretches over time. The Gris Gris color is a fab alternative to black and I love the sweet checkerboard pattern on the lower cup. Kitty from New York

This bra is dreamy. Every bra in my cup size is always uncomfortable and hard but this one is soft and stretchy. It gives pretty good support, but not top support. I have always found that top notch support equals super uncomfortable and this one give pretty good support and is sooooo comfortable. I am now a customer for life on the Prima Donna Madison. Like the other reviewers, I found this bra quite comfortable. The stretch fabric gives just enough to be comfy while still providing support. The lace lies flat and is very comfortable as well. It gives a little bit of a pointier shape, so I probably wouldn't wear it with clingier shirts. Just as the fitting notes suggest, it comes up a little higher on the sides up the arms - probably a little too much for what I need, but I could see how it would be beneficial for others. Very nice bra with good support. However, the picture is deceiving. The top of the cups actually comes up quite high, and the sides of the bra comes up within and inch or 2 of my collar bone. I wear a lot of tanks under my shirts, and the lacy top part of this bra is higher than my tanks. You can get away wearing the bra with a button up shirt, but you'll have to button it quite high and make sure it's a little snug up top, otherwise you'll be flashing people. Alicia from NY

I trusted the other comments and bought this bra for the comfort and fit of the side panels. The others were right. This is a great bra. I would have given it 5 stars if the panels were just a touch higher to cover my unsightly bulges, but this bra is almost perfect. The cups hold very well and my breasts haven't looked this firm and perky in years. The straps are so comfortable that I almost don't know they are there. Fit is true - I wear a 34DDD in other brands and the 34F in Prima Donna is a perfect fit. Leslie from Seattle, WA

I have worn prima donna bras in the past. This one I felt is the best when it came to comfort, coverage and fit. It fits perfect. I was hoping that ordering the size I did in this style(madison) would fit with no problems, due to the fact I know if you order different styles in the size you normally wear they can all fit different. Not with this it fit perfect and I am extremely happy with it. HerRoom delivered on a timely manner and I received what I ordered. I would reorder and use HerRoom again in the future. This bra is such a lifesaver! I'm pregnant right now which means my chest has grown a few sizes making it nearly impossible to find a bra that fits. Thankfully I knew about these bras (I'm normally in the 32D size) since they seem to be the ONLY bras that are comfortable and supportive. What this bra will NOT do: **poke into your armpits - they seem to be the only bra out there that is low in this area which is perfect for me (I'm 5'4") **dig into your ribs - make sure to get the right size around that is nice and snug since even going up to a 34 for me is too big and would cause slight digging issues **cause the "3rd" boob issue - I love the stretch on these in the cup area. They are totally supportive and stay flush underneath shirts which shocked me when I first started trying on these bras. Another plus of these is that built in side support which really helps to make the girls "perky" if that's even a word to describe our size. I have no idea why other bra manufacturers don't add this on! Amanda from Santa Fe

Very Comfortable! The seam is slightly visible under some tops. There are three hooks on the back in the larger sizes. This wasn't clear to me in the info section and I almost did not buy it because I was afraid one hook (as pictured) would not be enough. I would have given 5 stars but the straps slip a little (this happens on most bras for me). Overall a great bra, and one of my favorites! Shelly from Houston, TX

Finally at age 39 I had a bra fitting done. I was, of course, wearing both the wrong band and cup size. I went in with a 36DDD/E on and discovered I was a 34G. This is the bra I left with in 3 colors. I tried about 10 brands/styles on but this one fit me best. Very supportive and pretty and looks so much nicer than some of the other larger sized bras I've owned. I threw out my old bra in the store and left with this one on. Love this bra and am hoping to find more in a similar fit; would also love to find a strapless bra that has a similar fit. If you have not be fitted, go get it done. I'm so glad I did. This is a super bra. Prima Donna didn't use any polyester or cotton on this one, so it is both supportive and has great staying power. I only have two complaints, which I'm sure are related to my shorter stature. I would say the straps are too wide set for a narrow-shouldered/petite woman; they fall down a lot. Also, I ended up having to wear a 34 instead of a 36 (which is closer to my size) because the 36G wires would catch me in the armpit when I was sitting down. Regardless, I would highly recommend this bra to anyone of average or larger height. Kelly from Colorado

I followed the fitting instructions exactly and received a bra that fit perfectly. All of my other underwire bras start out uncomfortable and end up downright painful by the end of the day. I have come home and ripped my bra off and thrown it in the trash a few times, seriously! This bra is very comfortable, doesn't ride up my back or dig into my shoulders and ribcage. The fabric is strong, but light so I don't feel like my breasts are caged in iron, but are soft and natural-looking. The tops of the cups fit perfectly and are very flattering. I can actually wear a modestly low-cut top and not have cleavage up to my neck! I absolutely got my money's worth and am ordering another one today. Laurie from Yucca Valley, CA

Gets all the breast tissue on the sides and under the arms. It holds you front and center with nice shaping. Very comfortable, beautiful, and extremely flattering. The only negative is the straps are wide and wide-set. When the bra was new I found it irritating, but that has diminished with washing. Well worth the money. Donna from Marietta GA

This is the most comfortable bra I have ever owned. I now own two of them. They are supportive, cover well without "neck cleavage", the shoulder straps do not dig or fold, the underwire area stays soft without digging with extended wear, or slouchy sitting. I consider this bra truly an 18 hour bra! sandy from Tulsa OK

The bra has a nice fit...tho the straps do tend to hurt by the end of the day. I love what this bra has done for my shape...no more back fat. Noey from Chicago, IL

Love the bra. very flattering. Only one big problem. The straps should be a longer. I have them extended to the max and they dig into my shoulders and hurt at the end of the afternoon. I am not a tall person (5'3") so think this should be a problem for others. Not sure if I will buy another due to this---otherwise---

HerRoom Response: Thank you for this feedback. We are baffled by your comment - we would have expected this comment to come from a tall woman rather than a petite one. We are forwarding it on to Prima Donna.

Prima Donna Response: This is impossible if she is in the correct size. I would bump her up a cup or two, and perhaps down a back size, so she is getting the correct support from her band and has enough room in the cup, so the straps will not dig. I assume the cup is small and the side panel is pulling very tight into the strap. Our large accounts sometimes have to adjust straps to shorten them for customers (fairly often) but I never get complaints iabout too short straps, especially if she is 5'3 (maybe possible if she was very tall). This is the BEST bra I've ever worn. Even at my age I want to look good and this little number even makes Me look perky. I think manufacturers feel that if you're petite in size you couldn't possibly wear an F cup especially when you need a 32 around - but I'm NOT the only one. I'm thrilled to have found the Prima Donna label w/the full cup bras. If you want to look great and feel comfortable at the same time - this is the bra for you! Jacquie from San Diego, CA USA

This is the most comfortable bra I have found in years. I was hesitate to spend so much on yet another bra but I decided I didn't have anything to lose. I didn't rate it 5 stars because I think it lacks a little to completely lift and I still have some bounce. However, I am perfectly satisfied with the shape this bra gives me and overall it holds "the girls" up pretty well. The greatest thing is that I'm not ready to yank it off as soon as I get home! Comfort and support I am more than willing to pay for. Angela from Flat Rock, AL US

Finding a bra that fits properly since having breast augmentation has been a nightmare until now. The Prima Donna line has always produced a superior product however the Madison fitment is amazing. Yes it is the most expensive bra I own but it is worth every penny. Sylvia from Toronto, Ontario, Canada

This bra is fabulous!! The design lifts, smooths and seperates perfectly. This bra is awesome, comfortable, breathable, and also very pretty. Worth every cent, especially in this economic climate. I used to have to wear 2 or even 3 bras to accomplish a flattering shape. This bra does it all without digging in, causing quadro-boob, or back buldge YUCK. I love it. Aaaaahhhhh, so comfortable and supportive! The most comfortable, supportive and breathable bra I've EVER worn. And it's beautiful, too. I did go down a cup size since I wear a 36H in most bras, but the stretch lace really helps with fit and it so makes it feel like a custom bra. The side panels really do assist w/ "puddling" of extra breast tissue under the arms, and with this bra I no longer have that problem. This is my go-to bra for every day. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that since it is seamed, it shows under tees. So does the lace... so I just wear it around the house. I did try the foam molded Prima Donna, but it doesn't go up to an H and the G was too small in that style, unfortunately. Soooo, I'm still looking for the ultimate tee shirt bra that has this kind of support and comfort....and doesn't make you feel like you're wearing armor (like Le Mystere). Please, Prima Donna.... make your foam molded tee shirt bra in an H with this kind of great support! Then I would wear only Prima Donna's for life. :) Lynn from Scottsdale AZ

This is the best bra I have ever had. It is so comfortable, to prove it to myself, I wore it all day and then slept in it! My posture is better and my breasts are lifted to a flattering and natural line--not adolescent high, but way above my waistline. Prima Donna is a great brand and I have both the Deauville and the Madison. Deauville has much more lace and the Madison cup is deeper. So although I wear a 44F in the Deauville, I wear a 44E in the Madison. Thanks to the great staff of Her Room. It has been a long journey but I finally have quality bras that are beautiful and FIT. Very comfortable. This bra gives me excellent support without all the weight being on my shoulders. The straps are wider than some and comfortable. Another of my favorite parts is the top of the cup is stretchy so it never gives me the quad boob look. How nice. Worth every penny. Suzanna from Lafayette, Colorado

Very pretty bra, and I think it would have been ok comfort-wise, but I didn't care for the seams. I'm used to a T-shirt bra not showing anything, so the seams and lace were too obvious for me. Brenda

It is the best bra I have ever worn. The straps stay up. There is great support on the sides, the wires don't poke and it is pretty. The lace is high enough so that the nipples are covered and don't show through my garments. The larger sizes do have the 3 column closing, which pleases me. Although I was stunned to learn what size bra I really wear. I am delighted with the fit, and actually my bustline now looks smaller and my clothes fit better because everything is sitting/hanging/balanced the way it should be. I tried the elomi Caitlyn bra which is half the price. It is very nice, but does not fit as well as the Prima Donna. Thanks HerRoom for your excellent service. I had an email chat with one of the fitters that was very helpful. The descriptions of the bras and the back views are the best and most useful available online. Barbara from Los Angeles

This is the best bra I have ever owned. I was very skeptical about spending so much for a bra, but being big busted, I have found it next to impossible to find something that fits well and lasts longer than one or two wears. This bra shapes and smoothes, and holds everything in place nicely. I am absolutely in love with this bra . I have tried almost every bra in my size, and nothing compares to this. No underwire poking you in the armpit, no spilling over the top or sides, the fit is perfect. It provides support, which is hard to get with G size cups, and my clothes look better with it on. If you are large chested, spend the little extra and try this bra. I will be buying more. Beth from Clovis CA

looks great, but I wish there had been info in the description that this was a 2 hook, 3 row closure. Even in this size it does not fit a nicely as other Prima Donnas I own with a 3 hook 3 row configuration in the 95 size.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry that you did not see our hook count in the fitters comments on the page. It is located a little further down the page. mary-ellen from new hampshire

After years of thinking I was a 40DD (and reviewing a couple of bras here as such) I recently got a professional fitting and was astounded to be told I was a 36H (or 34HH). So I bought this bra in the store. It's pricey, and I'm looking for cheaper options, but it really does hoist the girls up. They actually look smaller. The bra fits very well and the lace is soft and stretchy. My only objection is it rubs a bit along the strap below my shoulder in front, where the seam is. But overall I mostly just wish it were less expensive so I could afford more of them. Dawn from Virginia
