Wonderful to wear under a heavier t-shirt and jeans, or a thicker dress. But when wearing lighter material you can definitely see the seams that are from the slimmwear also it cut into my bottom a bit and does cause the underwear line like effect. but it does do what it is supposed to do and that is to slim you down a bit. This Flexees fits very well. I have a short torso and the Medium was not too long (I am 5'7" and about 130-135 lbs.) I am still practicing with the hooks at the crotch., but other than that, have had no problems. No more muffin top! After 4 kids I love the idea of tightening up my middle, however I am disappointed with the length. I'm very tall and have a long torso, so the Torsette isn't long enough and rolls up to my waist. I actually found a site that took my measurements and made a size that fits me exactly.

I wanted a shaper to smooth out my post baby belly that didn't roll down or shift around and since i wear a 38HH bra, a WYOB style was mandatory. I was very pleased with this one. I am 5'11 and do not consider myself heavy but my body squeezed in with no wiggle room at all and no strap adjustment. I couldn't wear a bra because my breast smooshed together too much causing the underwire to lift up so I wore a cami shaper instead. The quality is good that's why I gave it 4 stars. I love this garment. Before I would get something aimed just for the tummy and my issues would be bunching at the top or bottom of the garment. This one is almost perfect. The seams do not show. I get to wear my own bras (34K). My favorite part is something I was completely NOT expecting this garment to do, LIFT the girls and show that I actually have a waistline. The problem with a short torso and larger girls is the fact that you look like you don't have a waist at all. Forget about belting at the waist, it looks ridiculous! I cannot tell you how amazed I was to see my shape in such a totally different light. (I can now put on a dress and look like "Joan" from Mad Men!) Just yesterday I spent the entire day shopping my closet and trying on different dresses I had given up on. They all fit beautifully. Although I am of average height, I have a short torso. So I love the fact that the garment adjusts. I would have given five stars but like another reviewer I wish the garment did not come up so high in the back because dresses with a v-shaped neck line in the back show the garment. This is one of 2 that I purchased to try to fit into a formal gown. It did not work and is not firm enough around the tummy area. I was very disappointed. Thinking of returning this item, but may keep it because of the hassle. Maybe someone can recommend a comfortable piece with extra firm support for the tummy.

I would give this garment 5 stars if the shoulder straps didn't cut into my shoulders and the chest edge so badly. I have the straps adjusted at the longest length but they still hurt, bind and cut into my skin. I need to wear this garment all day long as a binder from having abdominal surgery. I couldn't stand the straps and took them off my shoulders when I got home from work. They need to be a bit wider and padded for comfort. The body shaper is otherwise a great fit, comfortable and does a very good job shaping up my flabby figure and holding my gut together. It doesn't ride up or down. It is hard to pull up in the back and get into place but doable. I'm just asking that Flexees do something about the straps to make them comfortable.

I have tried 2 of this type of torsettes, other brands, and still find they all have the same problem- the straps in front of the shoulder irritate the skin, because they create a pull toward the back of the body. I would not begin to know how to solve this other the some kind of cushioning on that part of the strap. Overall control in back and waist is fine once you get used to the general tightness. This slimmer is comfortable, but I'm glad I got the larger 2X because it runs a little small. I'm able to slip it on easily and it's very comfortable. I like how my clothes slide around on the slippery fabric. The only downside is if you might be bothered by having 2 straps. It worked OK for me once I got used to the feeling. Most women seem to be looking for something to hide the bulge of their backside and belly - I am just looking for something to flatten my tummy. This item made everything smooth but but also made me feel and look like a giant sausage. Instead of smoothing out my belly it was tight against my sides and back, pushing my belly out in front, making it smooth but huge. I returned the item and am waiting for a refund.

I got this for my teen daughter, and she LOVES this garment. She calls it "her second skin", the only drawback is that it wears out without very careful care and washing, it tends to absorb body odors so this can be a challenge. It is not inexpensive, so she doesn't have one for every day of the week. She loves it though, and it really provides a foundation for the new styles, which can be revealing, but with this as a starting basis, the revealing is less so, and what she doesn't want accentuated, is also less emphasized. She hasn't found anything else that does this for her wardrobe, and it has become an essential. I wanted to try a different type of support garment, I usually wear one that goes down to my knees. While I like the idea of this one, it just doesn't work for my shape. It does hold in my tummy, so there is nothing wrong with it. I just need something a little more "inclusive". I will say that the hook and eye crotch is an issue though. On occasion, it pinches a little when I walk . Not the most comfortable of situations.

I'd give this garment a 5 for it's shaping qualities, but the straps are awful - they need to be a wide fabric or something, not like bra straps. They are too thin. Also, while the wear-your-own bra feature is nice, the design doesn't go high enough on the sides to shape you.
