The style is great. However the band is far too wide for a 34DD. I had read other reviews warning about this but I didn't realize just how incorrect the sizing is on this bra- I have never tried on a 34DD with such a baggy band!

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. We suggest going down a band size and up in a cup size for a better fit or you can check out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra. Jenny from Brooklyn, NY

Tried 38D, 36DD & 34DD. 38D WAY too big. 36DD on tightest hook & still a little loose. 34DD is snug but my breast are round & still want to spill out the top. Cups need to come up 1/2 higher. Bra is so pretty & I will keep them even though I adjust through out the day. I do think it minimizes & like it doesn't tuck breast under my arms & make me look wider from front.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. We suggest checking out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra. Also consider trying Carnival 516 if you're looking for a great minimizer with wider wire smile. Julz from Indiana

This bra is very pretty but runs big in the band, and small in the cup. The bra is very comfortable as the band is soft and very elastic. As far as minimizing, this bra does a pretty good job, but because the fabric is so soft and pliable, not quite in the same class as other minimizers. I would order a smaller band size and a lager cup size (if they had it ) Also, read other reviews because I have a feeling that the fit of this bra is really dependent on the shape of your breasts. I love this bra! The only thing that sucks is the band is a bit tight. I'd recommend getting a band size bigger (like I should have gotten a 38D instead), but it fits wonderfully. Sierra from 89142

Very pretty bra but seems one size too big. The band under my bust does not support. Needs to be a 40 D ...but I am a size 42D.

Carnival Response: As you can see from our other reviews, this is one of our bestselling bras. Sometimes different brands and different styles need to be sized up or down depending on the situation. We suggest going down a band and up a cup to receive the support you need. charlene

The cut of the bra was much lower than pictured. Maybe because the model was a very small breasted woman. Obviously a size DD is going to fit differently. It was very uncomfortable -- things would be popping out all day. Wendy from Catskill, NY

Pretty to look at, but completely undersized.

Carnival Response: With a minimizer many times the cups seem smaller since the function of the bra is to redistribute the breast flesh towards the underarm and the center front to reduce your breast protrusion. Sherry from Chicago

I loved it but it was too big! I normally fit either a 32 or 34 band, esp. with Bali. I ordered the 34 band and it was way too big. Sometimes if I order the 34 band I can get away with a D size, but not in this bra. Too bad I needed a 32DD, because they don't have it. Otherwise seemed very comfortable, pretty and supportive. I was bummed.

Carnival Response: Styles from different brands do not fit the same. Even within the same brand different bras have different cuts and fit differently. Unfortunately as you mentioned we do not make this style in 32DD. What you should do is try take advantage of Herrooms Universal Cup Size to help you choose the best size per brand for you. I have ordered about 6 of these bras. Absolutely one of the prettiest bras I've ever owned. Each time I have ordered, the underwire either pokes trough the fabric or in 2 cases came right out of the bra. The actual underwire is smaller than the casing, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. What to do with all of these nearly new bras missing their underwires? Suzanne from Derby, CT 06418

I loved the bra and how it fit, but the lace was too lumpy under clothing and looked awful.

Carnival Response: This bra is made with embroidered lace. Embroidered lace is thicker than just plain lace but it is much more luxurious. I would avoid wearing this bra under sheer or thin tops. Kristy from Rochester

Did not fit well. Underwire was poking out of the fabric. Returned it. I am awaiting refund. Also, made in China.

Carnival Response: The care instructions on the bra call for hand washing and hang drying. Although it does not usually happen, machine washing can cause the underwire to poke out in the bra. Jaci from Boulder, CO USA

I like the style but the band around my torso is not snug on the last hooks so the underwire is not as supportive. Probably could have tried a 34 vs. 36 but I have another 36 and it fits well around my torso.

Carnival Response: We are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your purchase. Styles from different brands do not fit the same. Even within the same brand different bras have different cuts and fit differently. Geri from Powder Springs, GA USA

I thought this was a beautiful bra but unfortunately had to return it. I have measured myself by HerRoom's instructions and came out a 44DD but this bra was too small in the cup and too large in the band. I returned it for a 42DDD but have not yet received it. I am looking forward to getting it though because it is a lovely bra that I feel feminine and pretty in. Deborah from Palm Coast, Florida

I ordered the 38DD and it was too large so I ordered the 36DD, also too large. I washed them and the underwire came out completely on both bras. I would absolutely not recommend this bra.

Carnival Response: The care instructions on the bra call for hand washing and hang drying. Although it does not usually happen, machine washing multiple times can cause the underwire to poke out in the bra. Shelly from NM

Bra fits well for my standard size. However workmanship is poor. I might have thought this item was a "second" or "factory reject" since on first wearing one entire row of hooks pulled out because stitching unraveled. Upon closer examination I can see that this is a potential problem for the entire garment. Too bad, since fabric is good and fit is perfect.

Carnival Response: We do not ship seconds to HerRoom. We don’t ship them to other retailers either unless they are marked clearly as irregular. We have many outlets to buy the few seconds that are produced and have no problem disposing of them in a proper manner. Marie from New York, NY, USA

I initially ordered the 36DD, which is my usual size, however the band was way too big. I then exchanged it for the 34DD, which was still too big. I wore it for one day and hated it. The lace and seams were bulky and my cups were spilling out. Would not recommend.

Carnival Response: If the band was too large and the cups too small in the 34DD then you should be wearing a 32DDD. Unfortunately we don’t make this style in DDD cups. Lisa from Pottstown, PA

This is a beautiful bra. It is cut very low and on me it fit like a push-up bra. I was looking for more coverage so I returned it.

Carnival Response: Minimizers work by separating the breasts and pushing the extra breast tissue to the sides. If this garment is not worn properly it can have the affect of a push up. Mary from NH

I'm 5'4 1/2", weigh 125. I am a 34 barely B and cannot fill the cup enough to wear the bra. It's quite a beautiful piece.

I guess I should have checked my Universal Cup Sizing because I ordered 2 different bras in the same size and this bra is way too small. I will be returning it but reordering it in a larger size.

Carnival Response: The new universal sizing is a great tool to help you find the right fit throughout different bra bands. We at Carnival are very glad to hear that you are using this tool for your future purchases and hope that you enjoy your new Carnival bra once it arrives in your correct size. It is a beautiful bra; had I bought the right size it would probably be perfect. However, even though I read the sizing tips, spent more than 4 hours measuring & fretting, I still bought too large. It (they; I bought 2) will make do until I get something else (I'm too lazy to fool with returns).

Carnival Response: I’m sorry to hear that you bought this style in a size that is too big for you. You will really see the benefits of this minimizer once you order it in the correct size. Nancy from Cleveland OH USA

Felt a size larger (36) and cups wrinkle.

Carnival Response: Your problem seems to be that your breasts run on the smaller end of size B. The only time the cups wrinkle on this bra is when you do not fill the bra out completely. Being that this is a minimizer unless you are a full B cup looking for extra support and a minimizing effect on the breasts this bra is not for you. valerie from memphis tn usa

Bad fit over my size, shape breasts. Didn't work for me at all.

Carnival Response: It seems that you do not know your correct size. I noticed that you bought style 511 in a different size and you weren’t happy with that bra either. It is very important to have yourself professionally fitted. You will avoid having to buy different sizes to find a bra that fits you correctly. penny from berger

Not a good fit for a larger cup size. The cup size is inadequate and it certainly is not a minimizer bra.

Not really a minimizer bra. Did not fit properly. the cups were smaller than DD and the elastic around the bra was stretched. I ordered 38 and I think it was more like 42!

I had multiple fit problems with this bra. The band size was a bit large, I had to fasten it on the smallest hooks, and it still felt loose. Although I knew it was a minimizer bra, my breasts fit too far under my arms for comfort. The cups felt oddly sized, as my breasts didn't fit completely in them and I had spillage in the top and front and extra room in the sides of the cup. I also had trouble with the cup lifting from the bottom. The bra is very pretty and the straps are well done. Although I measured, and bought the size recommended, I did not get a good fit from this bra and had to return it. This website has many styles to chose from, and I have had good luck with several other purchases, so I will continue to shop here. Also customer service is very good, which is very important to me.

Carnival Response: You should be buying this style in 38DD. 38DD and 40D are cross sizes and sometimes can be mistaken for the same measurements. melanie from rochester n y

This Carnival bra runs rather large. The 36C I ordered was too big. The shiny material looks cheap. It is not a very pretty bra.

Carival Response: This is the first comment Carnival has seen about this particular style running large. Minimizers by definition are made to give the illusion of less tissue in the breast. This usually leads to women commenting that they run small. Your comment is rather unusual considering this bra is in fact a minimizer. Darra from Bangkok, Thailand

I've not allowed myself such a feminine sexy bra in decades and am loving it. Since it wasn't very expensive, it let me try this style out and I'm now willing to consider other less boring bras too. Too small cup size. I feel that I need to go up two more cup sizes to a 34E.

Carnival Response:We haven't had any comments before about this bra running small. This is a minimizer bra so it will fit a bit snug in order to reduce the size of your breasts. We would recommend getting fitted to confirm that your bra size is correct. Miss Khawar from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan

I washed this bra once and both of the under wires came out.

Carnival Response:We are not sure how you washed this bra, but please keep in mind that these bra's need to be hand washed and hung dry. Monica from Lawrence, KS

I just lost several pounds and needed a smaller bra. I have always worn the "industrial" ones. I took a chance on this one because I would like to look slightly smaller and I thought it was pretty. I wore it to work to find out if I would be comfortable in it for a long period of time. I was very impressed. I recommend buying it slightly smaller. I think I could have worn a 40B. This would have fit nicely and been one of the only minimizer's that was actually pretty (very pretty) except for that darn seam on the cup that bumped out and made the bra lumpy under my shirt. Lonnie from Pittsburgh

I was very disappointed with this bra. The sides of the bra rolled almost as soon as I put it on, which is a problem I have always had. I won't be buying another one.

HerRoom Response: Typically, when a band is rolling, this is a sure sign that you need to go up a band size or two.

Carnival Response: I haven’t heard of this happening. It seem you have had this problem before. This leads me to believe that it is not a problem with our bra but you maybe be wearing the wrong size. YDD from IN

This is my second favorite bra that I purchased out of six. It looks great on and it lifts and separates for nice cleavage. The only thing I see that someone else might not like is where the lace cup is it feels more like a demi cup. I don't mind that. Overall fit is comfy. Brenda from Elkland, Pa

This Carnival bra in a 38B was a great choice. It fit perfect and is very supportive, I would like to see more of these bras. Others should try these bras, they feel good and are comforting. m from fort worth texas 76131

Breast reduction at 30 yrs old. 1) Wide in the chest 42, small cup B, 2)at 59 my breasts are going south, 3) back fat, 4)shoulder straps slip off. SOLUTION; THIS BRA!. It's big enough in the band, the B cups offers support and fits properly, Smooths back fat, due to the cut of the shoulder straps they stay on my shoulders. More women that ever before are getting breast reductions, so please keep making these larger band smaller cup bras! THANK YOU! P.S. Older women who've had breast reductions could use a little padding to give saggy breast tissue a little more humph in the bra. Jacqueline from Centreville, VA USA

Finally a pretty bra in a larger size that doesn't show with lower cut tops! After the second wearing I have to use the last hooks and it still rides up the back a little. I wish I had followed the others advice and ordered one size smaller. However, I still love this bra. Sam from Naples

Carnival Response: Dear Customers: Andra Group asked us to address why we offer B cups in this minimizer bra. There are a few important points that must be understood regarding B cups and minimizers.

The first point that is important to understand is that there is a difference between a B cup and a full figure B cup. Two women can be the same size but one could need a full figure cut bra versus a missy cut bra. This rule applies to B cups as well.

As far as the advantages of a minimizer for a B cup there are a few but the main one is support. Minimizers historically are known for giving women extra support (even B cups) because they are designed to press down on the breasts and distribute the extra flesh to the sides.

Another advantage to minimizers is to help a woman fit into a top or top of a dress that is cut flatter than her natural shape. This applies to B cups as well. We hope this explains why we have B cup sizing in this minimizer. Carnival from Linden, New Jersey

I like the bra very much, but would like it even better with a smooth fabric where the lace is inserted. I find that many lace bras create an uneven texture under lightweight clothing. This bra is so comfortable and such a great fit, however, that I will wear it under sweaters and heavier fabrics very happily! I will explore other Carnival styles based on the good fit. The delivery was timely and I was impressed with the packaging and "return" paperwork, should I require it. Nice doing business with you! Susan from New York

For a 34B, at least, this is not a minimizer bra (and I'm beginning to think that a minimizer doesn't exist for 34B; I suppose I'm the only nut who occasionally wants to feel very small). I can't see how the construction lends itself to minimizing, even for larger cup sizes. Also, the seam dividing the lace and satin sections of the bra shows through tissue t-shirts. Otherwise it was reasonably comfortable, but I sent it back.

HerRoom Response: Almost all minimizing bras start at a C cup. A minimizer reduces the projection of your breasts by moving breast tissue more under your arms and up your chest. With a B cup, this would not be very noticeable. Elizabeth from Chicago
