First time I ordered these and am very pleased. These have the look and feel of regular nylon stockings that you need a garter for, but which I was looking for in a thigh high. To that end they don't have the kind of stretch that the Berkshire French Lace Thigh Highs have which I usually get, so they fit a bit shorter on my very long legs. Very happy with these thigh highs. They stay put and fit perfectly even though I am slightly taller and heavier than the size chart allowed for. Shimmer effect is very flattering/pretty and have yet to have an issue with runs or holes. Love this product! Sarah from USA

These are nylons and not the same texture as hose. That is not what I wanted, and they are uncomfortable to me.

The reason for the low-ish rating is the stocking material is somewhat course and loses it's shape. Instead of being smooth which is what you'd expect, the stocking actually feeling rough to touch rather than silky. On the positive side, they don't run easily so you have to balance your desire for silky smoothness with the tendency to quickly run with what you're paying.

Berkshire Response: Berkshire has been making styles #1340 for many, many years, and we're sorry for your experience with the style. #1340 has a "shimmer leg", which you may not find appealing. You might want to try Thigh High 1363 , which has a normal lycra sheer leg and the same top as the #1340. Tracy from Maryland

I enjoy them. I am very thick and have large thighs. They stay up and they are very comfortable on my thighs. I weight over 260 lbs and found wearing panty hose is just a fuss to put on. This is much better and when you order, order extra and when you get a run you can just change out, panty hose you have to get rid of them if you have a run in one leg. linda from desoto, texas

I bought the whole Julia Infinitas blue corset/ bra, thong outfit plus the black Berkshire Shimmer Leg Thigh High Hosiery for my wife (tall and slim) on Mother's Day. She was very surprised and excited when she opened the Affinitas Intimates W9-J04 Julia thong; matching corset, and bra; and black lace hosiery. The whole outfit is very very sexy without being overstated and slutty like most other corsets. My wife was excitingly beautiful and sexy in them plus the black lace hosiery. The hose were beautiful, somewhat large in the legs but not too loose. The non-slip band at the top was tight in comparison.
