Chemises typically fit slightly loose due to their design. As such, we recommend you choose your normal dress size when buying one.

You can wear a bra under a chemise if you want to for additional support or coverage. However, if you’re just going to bed and you don’t typically wear a bra to sleep, it may be better to go braless so you’re more comfortable.

If you want to, many chemise nightgowns are stylish enough to be worn outside. All you need to do is layer them with your favorite blazer or cardigan. Be sure to complete the look by adding some jewelry and heels.
