Chantelle C Essential Full Coverage T-Shirt Bra 3816


This seamless, lightly padded contour underwire bra features minimalist styling that's perfect for everyday wear. Non-stretch pinstriped front straps prevent bounce and are fully adjustable on elastic straps in back.
  • Contour/t-shirt bra has underwires that support the breasts for an even, smooth, rounded shape.
  • Full coverage cup is soft, flexible and stretches. Lightweight padding for modesty.
  • Integrated side sling gives additional support.
  • Center panel is breathable mesh with a small goldtone medallion ornament.
  • Sides and back have sewn-on elastic at edges for custom fit.
  • Tall, wide power mesh sides have simplex fabric backing from edge of wire to seam for durability and extra support.
  • Pinstriped, cushioned straps are non-stretch in front, attaching to elastic that is fully adjustable in the back with coated metal hardware.
  • Back coated metal hook-and-eye closure, see Fitter's Comments below for hook count.

  • Molded, contour, padded underwire cup has integrated side slings and is free of removable padding. Cup has no overlay.
  • 1/8" thick cups.
  • Center is 2-3/8" tall.
  • Sides are 3-1/4" tall, without boning.
  • Non-stretch front straps are 5/8" wide and attach to 5/8" elastic that adjusts in the back with coated metal hardware.
  • 2-row, 4-column coated metal hook-and-eye closure in back for additional adjustment.
  • Measurements are taken from size 34D and may vary by size.

After wearing this bra for a week, I've changed my opinion. Why? 2 reasons. (1) The sides of the bra cut into my armpits. I think this is because it's a full coverage bra and comes up higher on the chest. Loosening the straps did not resolve the problem, unfortunately. (2) For some reason, the corners of the bra band are sharp. The seam construction has sharp points where the edges come together - maybe they're using strong nylon or something? Even though the inside of the clasp is soft, the sharp corners poke into my back. I would not buy this bra again. I'm going to use sandpaper to see if I can make the edges smoother.

Chantelle Response: Style 3816 is a Full coverage T-shirt bra and does have higher elastic sides to contain and support. We would suggest you try a different style form Chantelle that is not full coverage such as Chantelle Pure Full Coverage Convertible T-Shirt Bra 3616, Chantelle C Paris T-Shirt Memory Foam Bra 3386, or Chantelle C Essential Full Coverage T-Shirt Bra 3816. I don't usually order a full coverage bra, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This bra fits great and I feel very secure - I could probably exercise in this bra! I like the smoothness of the cups. I do find the top of the cups just a little on the loose side, but that means my shape doesn't perfectly match the bra shape. Someone who's fuller on top may find it a better fit.
