I bought this item several years ago and it was too big to really work as a shaper. I tucked it away in a drawer and then gained 40 pounds (eek!). Today I got it out to wear with a little black cocktail dress and it is fabulous. I carry most of my weight in my lower abdomen and have a big umbilical hernia and this really pulls it all in. Unfortunately, I do have a little "muffin top" with it, but that's better than what I started out with. It is moderately difficult to put on, but is very comfortable once in place.
