It does the job! My blouses that button up the front no longer gap between the buttons. If's also low-cut enough that it doesn't show above v-necks. It's no more nor less comfortable than any other underwire.

Added to original Wacoal bra that I love. This bra lasts forever, outlasting a younger Wacoal bra. No frills, can be see through on a chilly day but the blue is pretty. Does it really minimize? Not sure but it's my go-to Wacoal bra. More colors, pls?

This is my first Wacoal bra. It's the best fitting bra I've ever worn. Usually I wear 34C, but I exchanged for 36C, which is perfect. I love the breathable fabric. The cups do have some stretch, but so far they've kept their shape.

Very good minimizer - support not quite as strong because of the delicate fabric, but overall I am happy with it. It minimizes well, but not quite the uplift of the slimline seamless underwire model. I bought it to get the color desired.

I have been a Wacoal wearer for years. I have worn minimizers my entire adult life. I have tried other brands, but always com back to Wacoal. Nothing beats the fit and comfort to me. This particular style is my “go-to” now. The meshy fabric offers great support... and don’t worry! It is not see through! You can wear it under sheer blouses and get full coverage! Thanks, Wacoal!

It's hard to find a minimizer in a 38H. I like this bra. Wacoal is my all time favorite. I've tried so many other brands and Wacoal is built to last for a large bust. This bra fit very good. However, I would recommend to Wacoal to make the straps a little wider for anything over a DD cup and make the band size a little wider in the back. However, the fit and construction of this bra makes it worth the price.

The item was too small. Even though I have other bras of the same size that still fit. But this was too small for my bust. It wears comfortable fabric but not completely because it doesn't have all my bust in, but the underwire is good.
Wacoal Response: Try sizing up in the cup and down in the band, 40DDD. This style runs full in the cups traditionally so if it is too small for your bust your band may be too big and the cup too small. For another modern minimizer option try 857269, the band runs true to size but the cups run slightly large.

I love the way the bra fits as well as it’s sexiness but the wires are VERY uncomfortable and the elastic banding is too narrow. Not great for a busty woman
Wacoal Response: It sounds like you would prefer one of our wider banded bra’s that smooths the back and has lower wires on the sides. Try 855225 or 855213 instead. Both have wider bands and shorter frames under the arms.

I love Wacoal bras and have purchased them for several years. They last for years and fit me well with adequate coverage and support. Although I really do not need a minimizer or under wire, the fit of Wacoal bras is perfect for me.... so comfortable and looks great under all clothing! The fit of the Visual Effects bra is perfect, and even wears well under light shirts and blouses. Another great style and fits true to size!

Fit as expected. Doesn't really minimize, it shapes as every other Wacoal bra. The seam along the band where the underwire is rough against the skin. I've not had this issue with any other Wacoal bra. I'm hoping it softens over time.

It is a nice bra. I used the instructions on measuring but the band is a bit snug and the cups have overflow. At the top. So the fit is not what I had hoped for. Perhaps I'm atypical when it comes to size. I'm quite full breasted and the left a tad larger. Wish I knew what so I should have ordered.

When selecting a bra for the day I have a lot to choose from. This is now the only bra I want to wear. It provides great support and shape and yet it is so comfortable it feels like I have nothing on. I do wear dimrs with it since it does not prevent show through. I believe it runs true to size as I usually wear a 32D in Wacoal and a 32E in Chantelle, and I wear a 32D in this bra.

This bra is a perfect fit and very aesthetically pleasing, but it has one seemingly minor problem that is shared by many bra makers. The edge stitching on the band in the back is very rough and scratchy in the middle of my back. Because of the wonderful fit, I am trying to devise a little fabric tube I can slip over the band that I can adjust after I clasp it that protects my back.

This bra was true to size but I didn't like how high it came up between the breasts. It looks prettier on the model than it did on me. It has no padding, just the mesh, which didn't provide enough nipple 'modesty' for me. Had to return.

Love this bra. I have implants, but they are about 20 years old, so they need some support. This gives me a fantastic young shape. I look very lifted and sporty, and it eliminated the matronly look my large breasts were giving me. It's looks pretty, too- feminine and low-profile.

Decent shape and okay fit Usually a D but wear a C in the Retro Chic so went
with a C on this one.
Straps a tad bouncy for a minimizer and wire tends to curl a bit.

Was disappointed with this bra. It did not fit or perform as well as Wacoal 857109 or Chantelle 1891. There was little lift and I felt droopy and floppy.
Wacoal Response: Compared to the above mentioned styles this bra is a lighter weight minimizer that smooths and doesn't mash down the breasts. If you are looking for more rigid support try Clear and Classic Full Figure Underwire Bra 855244. This bra has a mesh Jacquard cup cover that restricts bounce, shapes nicely and lays flat under clothing. Awareness Full Figure Seamless Bra 85567 is another option that reduces the bust profile and is Wacoal's number 1 selling bra!
