My panties Size 7 looked fine when they arrived. When I washed them in hot water and dried them in the dryer, they had shrunk to about half their size. I couldn't even put my legs through them. I had to throw them out. What a waste of money!!!

I read the previous reviews of these underpants regarding the fit of the leg openings. I gave the product the benefit of the doubt and ordered them anyway in a size 9 which is what I normally wear. The previous reviewers were correct - the leg opening is much tighter than it used to be. The pairs I ordered about a year ago have leg openings that are a couple of inches wider and more comfortable. I called the phone # on the package for the consumer division of Vanity Fair to complain and they were not sympathetic at all. When I experienced a similar type problem with Hanes a couple of years ago their customer service rep refunded the purchase price of the underpants I bought and didn't require me to send them back. They told me to donate the unworn underpants to a charitable cause (which I did). What a difference in attitude between companies toward their customers. Mary Ann from Michigan

I am disappointed in the change in quality of this item. The fabric is coarse and the fit doesn't make sense...too tight in the waist and too long in the body. I've been wearing Lollipop cotton panties for many years and until I lost a lot of weight was happy with the fit. Sizes 8 and 6 became too large, so I ordered size 5, which was way too small. With this most recent order, I tried size 6 again and after laundering could hardly force them on, they were so tight. Finally looked at the care instructions, which said cold wash and line dry! Obviously warm wash and low dryer was what shrank the cotton. Who ever heard of having to treat cotton panties like a delicate fabric? One of the best features of cotton undergarments, besides the comfort, is the easy care. Since I had no trouble with shrinkage for decades, I can only conclude you're now no longer using preshrunk cotton. I'm a small person, wear size 2 pants, so size 6 panties ought to fit! While I loved the soft cotton fabric, I just hate that I have to buy panties that are "granny panties" that I could pull up to my breasts just to get my size. I bought these after reading lots of reviews from people who absolutely love these things. I had been looking for underwear that had fabric covered elasticized leg openings. I am 5'5" and weigh 250 now. Since a hysterectomy 7 years ago and the additional weight, I now have a belly shelf at the crease of the top of my leg into my torso. So if I get sweaty there, my tender skin gets a little irritated and bare elastic doesn't feel good there. Anyway, I thought I'd give these a try. I have no space at my crotch between my thighs brush together so this style of panty just ends up feeling like a wad of fabric between my legs. Not a comfortable feeling. The fabric is superb, however, the briefs are not a good fit. I first ordered the size 9 but they were too long and too big. I am short and the crotch came almost to my knees. I exchanged them for a size 8 which fits a bit better but the crotch is entirely too wide between my legs and the waist is a bit tight. The material is soft and silky; it's a fairly light material but comparable to most other sets of underwear. I wanted find a brand/style that didn't flare out at the legs to let my stomach slip out; the trim is very thick (I didn't expect such a thick trim). However the product size is too small; they are about 1" narrower than another brand's size 11. I have no idea which product is the correct size 11 as I ordered a larger size of both products since the other brand's panty size keeps getting smaller and material thinner. Ordering from the internet is difficult because my waist and hips do not always match with the same sizes. However, this is the only place where I can find Lollipop panties. My waist did not match with the same size as my hips so I had to guess. I originally ordered sizes 9 and 10 going more by my waist than my hips. I found that the size 9 was more than adequate for me so I sent the size 10 back and exchanged for a size 8. Size 8 seems to fit better than size 9 but neither is absolutely perfect. Size 8 corresponds with my hip size. The cotton gives a bit around my thighs and the elastic around the waist has enough give to fit comfortably most days, so when I need to reorder it will probably be a size 8. The size 9 from the waist to the hips is a little too long for me but it is quite wearable. It fits my thighs a little better but there is extra material around my stomach that I do not need. I'm smaller in the hips and thighs and these fit me. The leg openings are smaller than with other under garments and stay in place but would not fit someone with larger thighs. I purchased these undewear specifically 2 sizes larger for "those days" when the cramps and bloating are so bad all you can do is stay home and sleep. The legbands are comfortable, but the panties themselves are very large, i.e. tall. They seem to practically come above the waist. However, I would not be able to order size 8 (my usual size) because then the legbands would be too snug. The cotton material is very soft and comfortable.
