Excellent longer slip. Love it. Fabric is a little thicker than traditional/old fashioned slips. Almost like a light weight Lycra. I like it better than the old style fabric. I really wanted a 40, but this slip did not come in 40. The 38 is a little snug around the hips. Slip does not flare out much at all. This is a beautiful, very comfortable slip and is perfect to wear with tea length dresses. It can be worn 2 ways, with the V neck or the straight neck depending on which you need. I felt in love with the Vanity Fair 1015832 32 Inch Spin Slip when I was in the Hositpal for 21 days and they told me I could change from the hospital gown in to my Spin Slip. The slip is lovely, but I wouldn't recommend it. The material is "sticky" and catches to your clothing - seems to always twist to one side and becomes uncomfortable. I was excited when I saw how pretty it is, but would never recommend it.

After reading the other comments about the slip running large I ordered the largest size available, but it wasn't enough for my hefty hip and thunder thighs. :-( I LOVE the look and feel of the slip and actually could get by with it, but instead I'll be giving the 2 slips I ordered to my daughter for her birthday. A perfect full slip. Long ones are hard to find and this one is a winner. The bodice fits snugly enough and is cut in such a way that it hugs one's bra, so no shifting or show through with a scoop neck dress. Can also double as a nice night gown. I would have given a 5 star except I think the sizing runs big. I actually sent it back and got a 34 which fit perfectly. I needed a midcalf lenght slip for my granddaughters wedding and could not find one in the stores and found Her Room on-line and could not be happier with the slip or the service. I ordered the slip two weeks before the wedding, it came, was too big, I sent it back and got the smaller size and it was still here in time. The slip is very smooth, feels good, I like the fact you can wear the neckline both ways and it was perfect length for my dress. I ordered a 36 as I wear a 36C bra, am 5' 5" tall and weigh 135 and it was way too big so unless you are particularly hippy or big busted I would suggest a smaller size. I buy two of anything that I love, and this I truly love. Several years ago, I found this slip in a little store downtown and knew instantly it was for me. The fabric is so soft and slinky, it clings to the body nicely and it keeps you cool in the summer and cozy warm in the winter. Soon as I arrive home from work without any hesitation, I get into this slip because its good and comfortable. Over the years, I wore these slips until they were in pieces. I wanted to replace them but could no longer find them in stores downtown or anywhere in other cities when on vacation. Recently retiring and cleaning out old drawers, I came across one of the old worn slips and took the number from the label. I then went to the HerRoom and behold!!! found the slip. I couldn't believe it. I bought two and I will be back for more. This is a very durable item, it washes well and dries in about an hours or so. Please do not discontinue as I thought you might have done so before. Thanks to the Vanity Fair designer. P.S. May I suggest for the knee length variety of this slip that you make in the same fabric, an ankle length house pant that's worn together. I love this garment. This is a replacement for the same style of slip that I had worn out after many years of wear. This slip, worn as a nightgown is extremely comfortable, has just enough stretch that it moves with you, letting you not get "tangled up" in your nightwear. My best friend and I have worn all the available colors for at least the last eight years and still love them. Love, love, love this slip! I already owned one in the shorter length, and wanted this one to complete my slip "wardrobe". It's a bit too long, but that's easily fixed. I love that it's all one piece, and no lace, so things won't tear. I love the spandex. My other one washes and wears years later just like it was when I bought it - no fading, no misshaping. I ordered two recently, as I had found one in a department store about 2+ years ago, and had worn the thing out - and I mean worn. This slip will eventually lose the some of the matte finish with tons of washing and drying, but the old one has been demoted to nightgown, and while not visually great, it is still wonderfully comfortable.
