I originally ordered this in a 48D, my usual size but had to exchange it for a 48C. When I tried the new bra on, I though they'd sent me the original back again. Apparently this bra runs large in the cup sizes. It is nicely padded, has straps with two locations or can be worn strapless. It does not seem to be made evenly and the center seems to be off when I get the cups situated. Luckily my dress that I need it for is tight enough to hold me in. I will use this as it's the only strapless bra I can find in my size, but I'm not thrilled with it. Whendie from Maricopa, AZ

This bra was oddly shaped at the top. The cups at the top seemed to flair out.

For my senior prom, I had a dress with a sheer back, and my chest was too large to go bra-less. I ordered this bra and used the clear back and it worked PERFECTLY. I also used the clear straps, and I had exceptional support and coverage, and it was so easy and comfortable to dance in and wear all night. I have literally worn this one out, and I am going to purchase another one. MUST BUY. Daniella from Cochran, GA, United States

I badly needed a strapless bra with an invisible back for my wedding dress. It is so hard to find a bra in my size, much less with this criteria, and with the proper support. Imagine my total delight when I received the bra, and it was PERFECT. I love how interchangeable the options are, and it feels so comfy when on. I'm beyond pleased with this purchase and will be buying more from HerRoom when the need arises. Katie from Athens/GA/USA

Cups are larger than a C. Other wise great bra love the adjustments on the band. I am way over weight and have back fat which makes me impossible to fit?

Love that I could finally find a clear backed bra for my daughter in a larger cup size. She needs one for under all of her dance costumes. Just wish the straps could attach while wearing the clear back, otherwise it fits well. Candie from Trevor, WI

This bra has unexpectedly good support for the most part (I usually have zero support when I remove the straps from a multipurpose bra), but the band size is a bit larger than I expected. Kristen from 85051

BEST FULL FIGURE DANCE COSTUME OR SPECIAL OCCASION BRA EVER! I purchased this bra for my daughter, who is in high school and a member of two dance teams. She is full-figured and we have a hard time finding supportive bras that will work under dance costumes. This bra is by far the best fitting and most supportive of any we've bought over the last ten years! The clear back strap is such a fantastic feature, and perfect with open and sheer-back costumes. The shoulder straps are wider than any other strapless we've owned, too, and provide even more support. It only has one minor drawback - if you're using the clear back, you can only do the shoulders as a halter. It would be great if the manufacturer added a shoulder strap loop just past the side seams and before the hooks so that you could do a high cross-cross or wide set with the shoulder straps while using the clear back. That being said, it still the BEST SPECIAL OCCASION/DANCE COSTUME BRA EVER!!!! Karen from Jacksonville FL USA

In love with this bra. I have worn it on all of the hooks and it truly is great. I hate the clear straps, but they are necessary for some of my outfits. I wore the clear back the other day for the first time and was very impressed with how comfortable it was and how supporting it was. Nancy from Dayton, Tx, USA

This bra saved the day for my wedding dress...I searched high and low for months for a bra to wear under my wedding dress. I have an illusion back on my wedding dress with fine lace so ever bra showed through. I tried backless sticky bras and I just completely fell out of them. They didn't work for me and gave no support! I thought my only option was to go bra-less - a dreadful thought - until I ordered this. It lifts beautifully! I had to have some lace added to the side of dress to cover the areas where the hooks showed on both sides but that was SO worth it. Now I feel comfortable. supported and will have no problem actually dancing on my wedding day. Very happy with this purchase! Mollie from Columbus, OH

Nice bra, fits well. The only negative thing is when you switch the back strap for the clear strap there is no way to hook the shoulder straps,so it can only be worn as a strapless. Disappointed since it comes with clear shoulder staps you would think it would be made so you can attach to either back . JB

If you don't like bras with rubber inside, don't purchase this one; however, it stays in place! I have yet to use the clear straps, but I tried them on for size. I do wish they weren't so thin. The bra is comfortable. The only issue I have is the bra can seem like a push-up, and working in a pharmacy where you are running around, I love having the support, but not the jiggle that comes along with it. I wish the top part of the bra held the top half of the breasts more. You get that jiggle though because the bottom portion of the bra stays in place so well due to the rubber inlays. The bra is PERFECT for summer dresses or the unusual tops where you don't want your bra straps hanging out. PharmD Mom from Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Valmont Response: Sorry you were disappointed in this bra. I would suggest a different cup or band size in this bra, because the bra does offer great support if you are in the correct size. This is a great concept. However, if your dress is truly backless, this won't work. You can still see the sides of the bra fabric through the dress. The bra fabric should side under your arm and the clear material start there. If those changes are made, this bra would be great. Or if your dress has only a backless middle portion, this would work.

Valmont Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work perfectly for you. The fabric on the side that stretches is for fit purposes. MT1234 from Waterford/MI/USA

I was very pleased when I received this bra. I have problems with cup sizes and I was recently measured to be a 44DDD. My concern with strapless bra's are they never stay up. This bra I was able to purchase in a 44DD and I was amazed that it fit around the back comfortably and the cups were not too small. It is actually comfortable. The strap around the neck is great with halter tops and holds up the cups so you are not out and all over the place. The "see through" strap my have a shimmer to it, but it beats a color strap along the back. All in all this is a very decent bra. Especially for someone who always has bra issue's. I bought this bra to go with a Mother of the Bride dress. The plastic see through strap in the back is wonderful. The bra itself is very uncomfortable at the hooks which are on both side of the back and there are four hooks on both sides. I had to make a silk cover piece so it would not hurt my skin. I measured myself and by the chart I ordered and the cup size is a whole size to big.....I did not talk to customer service and probably should have to get more of an idea about how the bra fit....oh well I am making do and it does not look bad under the dress, just feels like I am wearing a bullet proof bra!!!!!

Valmont Response: Thank you for your good comments about this bra. As far as size, it sounds to us like you needed a smaller cup. Please remember, just because you wear one size in some bras that that means you would wear that size in all bras. Please use the helpful tool now available at HerRoom called Universal Cup Size, it will help you find your correct size in all brands. Chrissy from Mattthews NC

In my opinion the cup size is really small. Im guessing this is supposed to be so that the bra doesnt show when you wear low cut tops/dresses but for me it creates spillage.

Valmont Response: Sounds to us that you need a larger cup size. Not every bra fits the same and just because you wear one size in one bra doesn't mean you need that size in different styles. We would suggest going up a cup size. Miss from NYC

This band of this bra feels a little small, and I don't like the double sets of hooks on the sides, just a personal preference. I tried it because I am wearing strapless bras daily due to shoulder pain. I find I need to adjust the fit by tugging up on it several time during the day. I don't intend to return it. Also, HerRoom shipping was great. I was very satisfied with the quick delivery.

Valmont Response: If you are wearing a strapless bra all day and you have to tug it up several times during the day then this would be good for a strapless bra for you. It will stay in place. Anonymous

Well the bra itself is a good quality but as for the backless panel it is not clear it has a frosted look. I ordered this for my wedding dress and I can't wear it because of the frost panel but the shoulder straps are completely clear see through. I would not recommend if you need a complete see through. I really like this bra. The back is so unique and just what I wanted for dresses or tops with back cutouts. I love that you can wear it with the clear back insert or the matching fabric insert. I also appreciate that it comes with an extra pair of clear straps. I just wish I could wear the clear straps with the clear back - but that one thing doesn't stop me from liking this bra. I ordered the size, but it ran big so we didn't get the snug fit that we needed for a strapless bra. Also the clear backing wasn't translucent enough. It was too white. The translucent straps were okay, but you could only use those with the black backing. It wasn't what I expected. Now we're stuck with a bra that my daughter had no choice but to wear (with prom dress) because we didn't have time to send back. Should have gotten a smaller size. Charnita from Baltimore, MD USA

The fit is great; one thing I would do to change the bra is elongate the clear portion. I purchased the black bra which can be worn strapless, comes with an interchangeable clear back and straps. I need the entire back to be clear. As it is now, there is a portion (right behind the rib cage) that is the color of the bra (not clear); This portion shows; this is the only drawback I have faced with this bra. Other than that, I am happy with the bra, I just cannot wear it with the dress I purchased it for because the colored portion (which happens to be minimal) still appears. I just wish the whole entire back was clear. I really like the fact the bra fastens just behind above the rib cage as opposed to mid back, great idea. Cheryl from Queens NY

I was disappointed in this bra. I've had another version and no complaints about it but with this one I only wore it for a couple of hours and was nervous the entire time. The wiring seems to be made of plastic which made it flimsy in terms of cup support and the cups kept falling down. I'm very disappointed in this bra and will not buy another one again. The bra fit very nicely & was comfortable. However, in the descrlption it doesn't state that you cant wear the clear back with straps. It can only be worn strapless which is not very supportive. My clear shoulder straps also broke the very first time I wore them. Once again, the bra is a great fit & supports nicely with the basic straps. Vee P. from Miami, FL

The sheer panel was not that sheer, more like a shower curtain. The size was definitely larger than 36C because it was sliding off me and the cups were very large.

Valmont Response: The sheer part to the garment is shown accurately, and it also fits true to size. Anna from Medford NY

This should have come with an instruction manual! The first time I hooked the back strap to the bra, one of the clasps became undone. It was not sewn in properly. The cups do not lay properly for a smooth appearance. Unfortunately I was out of the country for 3 weeks and could not return it. Also I did not realize that if you wanted to use the clear back strap, you had to remove the shoulder straps. That is not what I wanted. Theresa from New York

nice bra with good ideas and attributes, but it just didn't fit right...and I couldn't get it hooked around me. Ran small through rib cage. Very uncomfortable. Needed to order larger size. Cups did not fit my physique either...but it was a nice bra and made well. lynn from Muskegon, MI

Definitely worth what I paid for it! The only thing keeping it from 4+ stars is that it's a little lacking in support when used as a strapless, but I'm used to that with strapless bras anyhow - and the only time I'll *need* to use the strapless function will be at my wedding later this month. Honestly, my dress will pick up where this bra leaves off. The side hooks are a bit tricky, but worth it to have the backless look. Sizing was true to fit (for the record, I'm 5'1", 265). I would recommend! Sarah from Bellingham, WA, USA

Good bra. Was looking for a strapless clear back for a dress that has a lace-up back. Only wish they had a 32 band size..the 34 wasn't as tight as a strapless (for a D cup) needs to be. Other than that, am happy with purchase. S from NJ

Absolutely, this model needs diagrams on the web site to show the variety of ways it can be worn, along with the proper placement (and/or attachment) of the straps. The double-hooked back band is so ingenious because it allows for so many variables in the fit. We need to see this sort of band in regular bras made by this manufacturer/designer. The band, too, should be diagrammed so that the purchaser knows how to undo it and to fasten it properly, especially showing how it is properly used with the variety of strap configurations. THIS IS A VERY HIGH-QUALITY bra. I wish that Herroom would send along a set of diagrams and instructions for wearing this fabulous bra, in large print for all of us wearers of eye glasses because when trying on lingerie, it is best to take them off so that they do not damage the merchandise. Love this bra! Its super comfortable, but not exactly transparent. I thought it would be a perfect solution for a dress with a deep "V," but you can still see the "transparent" strap. I was able to deal with it by adding a hook-and-eye to my dress. The alternative would have been a body suit, which I don't feel are comfortable. Amanda from Chicago

I could not get the removable straps off this bra. Since I wanted it strapless, I ended up clipping a portion of the plastic hook off. I tried for 20 minutes before I decided to cut the plastic. Very aggravating!

Valmont Response: The plastic straps are in deed difficult to adjust or remove. The bra can also be worn without straps. No plastic straps in the industry are easy to use.

HerRoom Response: We would agree with this comment by Valmont. Clear straps are challenging to adjust. RK from Helena, MT USA

I absolutely love this bra! By far, it's the most comfortable strapless bra I have ever worn. After reading the reviews, I was unsure if I should try it, but I'm so happy that I did. It took a little getting used to the hooks being on the sides, but I just fasten it in the front then twist it around into place. : ) JT from LA

The cups run small. Depending on the style of the bra, I wear a C or a D. I returned this one for a DD. The idea of the double hooks, in my opinion, is so smart and in spite of the many comments of it being difficult to hook, for me it was a piece of cake. Looking forward for the DD to arrive. flame from phoenix, az

I wore this bra in my daughters wedding last weekend. It was wonderful. I used the clear straps (due to the style of my dress) and they never moved an inch. I bought the bra for my daughter who needed it for a dance recital because her teacher want them to have a clear back, so we were excited when we found something in her size. with support. unfortunately the hooks on the clear straps were to big to fit though the loops and the only way we could figure out how to use them was as a haulter, and that was too tight around her neck. So needless to say, we returned the bra. I recommend that the loops be made large enough for both sets of hooks so you don't tear up the loops trying to get the hooks in and out. Also, maybe a diagram of the different ways both sets of straps can be used would be good. Donna from Troy, OH USA

This bra is complicated. I wanted a strapless bra. I can't remove the straps because the elastic is too tight over the little hooks. Also, I did not know I had to deal with two complete sets of back hooks, and a hot rubber back - not good for humid climates. Too much work to put one bra on. Irene from St. Pete, FL USA

Should not be recommended as a strapless bra for a D cup or larger. I would suggest a long line with boning to give proper strapless support. Ce from Kentucky

This would have been a dream bra if I have purchased the right size. (At box & warehouse stores I buy a 34C which fits perfectly.) For dance performance I need a bra with great support but that appears backless under low-backed costumes. If I had used your bra fitting guidelines I would have known that a 30C petite is what I needed. If it comes in your size...the bra is very well constructed and will provided excellent support. The cups have 2 options for strap attachment. The solid back piece has three options for strap attachment. For my 4'11" frame the side supports cut into my armpits. Alycia from Chantilly, VA

This bra is amazingly versatile. I just used it strapless for a dance performance, so I can vouch that the wide band helps it stay up pretty well. There are so many ways to attach the straps that it works under pretty much any top. The straps are nice and solid and wide enough that they don't cut into your shoulders. The only thing I hadn't anticipated was dealing with the hooks in the back. Because they've made the back interchangeable, the hooks are in a different place than I'm used, so it's taking a little adjustment to get it on. Alyssa from San Mateo, CA
