Wish I could have gotten one cup size bigger, a little snug for my 36J cups but was biggest offered. Overall band comfortable, I have been looking for a loungewear bra forever, this one NEARLY meets to spec!

I don't know if I got a size too big? It does feel bigger in the cup than I expected. Also it tends to ride up in the back and put pressure on the back of my neck. Material is very soft and comfortable, and the zipper is very secure.

This is not a bra for those with large breasts. The material is flimsy and offers no support. The straps are not adjustable. The back has a very light stretch mesh that also is not sturdy at all.

This is a joke. Basically like not wearing a bra. The straps were about 6 inches too long and no way to adjust. I dont understand why they would sell this in larger sizes if they weren't going to adjust proportions for larger sizes.

This bra fits better in size than any I have tried in a long time. The only thing is, I thought I would fix the sliding straps by using the cross back. Didn't work. It hurts my neck. I will be trying another style from Her Room, tho.

No tags on this bra, not sure if there were supposed to be but that was odd. Most importantly, IT DOES NOT STAY ZIPPED. The zipper is plastic. After zipping, it unzips immediately. Will not stay zipped. Totally useless.

It is good that this bra is made of a cotton, but front zipper is too bulgy and protruding under t-shirt. It is cut too low so when you exercise your breasts are almost exposed. You cannot adjust the straps that gives you another inconvenience.

The fit of the bra was true, based on my measurements. My skin is sensitive and because this was advertised as being made of cotton, bought it. The back of the bra is not made of cotton and neither is the band. I can wear it but only for a limited time. It is comfortable - just wish my skin was not so sensitive. Also has good support.

This is a nice bra. I love that I can wear it to the gym, or under other garments. In this Arizona heat, it allows me to wear light sleeveless shirts without a problem.
I don’t know why so many bra manufacturers are afraid to think Big when it comes to sports bras and racer backs; I guess they think we don’t work out or something. I’m just glad this is available. Now all I need is a racer back T shirt bra.

I love this bra, it is so comfortable and I love that it doesn't have a skimpy hook front closure or underwire. I have natural large breasts I find this bra accommodates me. I live a casual life, camping and I don't have a problem wearing this under most garments. I am comfortable with the cotton cups, as it absorbs sweat. The double layer provides modesty.

I purchased this bra for my 83 year old grandmother who has difficulty with the multi-clasp bras. I thought the zip closure would be perfect for her and I was right. She loves this bra and has said it is very comfortable. She has difficulty attaching the front multi-clasp closures due to her advanced arthritis in her hands so the zip closure was a perfect solution.

I'm giving this bra only 3 stars because of the zipper. It will not lock in place at the fully zipped-up position. I've managed to get it to stay locked about 3 teeth below fully zipped. Other than that, the bra is exactly as described--perfect for an around-the-house leisure type bra.
HerRoom Response: If you are having trouble with the zipper closing fully we suggest going up a cup size. This tends to happen with front close bras when there is too much breast tissue and not enough space.

I'm sending the bra back.... The zipper doesn't want to stay up, and honestly for someone with triple D - 36.... It doesn't have the support I need for a workout. Its not very strong and it's lighter weight.... I need support when I'm doing aerobics.......
HerRoom Response:The sizing on this bra only fits up to a E cup. Because you are a DDD cup we would not suggest this bra for you do to the limitied sizes it offers and because this is only intended for low impact sports. It sounds like you participate in activities where you would need a bra that can withstand higher impact workouts. Because of this we suggest looking for a style that is either Medium Impact or High Impact.

I ordered this item and it did not have molded cups.
Valmont Response: This bra has molded cups which are machine molded from a single piece of fabric into a shape the manufacturer feels mirrors the preferred natural breast shape without any seams. Molded bras are usually unlined and may be either soft cup or underwire. I believe you are looking for something with a thin foam or fiberfill which causes the cup shape to stand alone, which is called a contour or t-shirt bra.

I am 85 years old and have arthritic hands and a crippled up arm. The Valmont Zip Front Sports Bra has given me back my modesty and independence to dress myself properly once again. I have struggled for years with a clasp back bra and had given up on using support. But now that I have aquired the zipper front bra I have much needed support for my topside! Please do not discontinue this product as it is beneficial to elderly women who have difficulty with clasping a bra in the back! I am very delighted with my first purchase and had my children order me two more. Thank you

This is the most amazing bra and I adore it ! a
After wearing it for one day, I told 32 women about it, and gave them your name, the item number and how to order it. I didn't expect much at first, because it was so inexpensive as bra's go today, I was afraid I would have to ship it back. Imagine my joy after putting it on and finding out how well it fit, how extremely comfortable it is, and how soft it is. This is the first of many. I also enjoy the huge quantity of all kinds of bra's you have, and all prices are wonderful ! Thank you for the quick shipping as well.

Very Comfortable. I have a shoulder injury so hooking from the back or pulling over my head is not comfortable. Straps are great. I am narrow shouldered and have spent a lifetime of pulling up straps. No more! Zipper does not rub. Easy off. Easy on. Very pleased.

I thought the fabric was comfortable. The straps stay up without having to play with them which is why I like the racerback. The zipper was pushing through the top I was wearing. Since I'm using it as a sports bra, it was fine. If I was considering wearing it under other clothing, I'd be careful to see if the zipper outline was visible.

I like this bra very much. At my size, 44D nearly all bras are very uncomfortable, but this one is fine. It also holds up in the wash quite well, tho I let it air-dry. I think dryers do more damage to bras than people realize.
It took a while -about 2 monts- to receive the bra, but it was worth the wait. Luckily, I already owned one.

I just had reconstruction surgery after a bilateral mastectomy. These bras are, literally, just what the doctor ordered me to get, and with great reason. The are comfortable and supportive, and they allow my skin to breathe, considering I need to wear them pretty much around the clock. If you have to go through this experience, these bras will definitely help you start feeling back to normal again.

The fit was perfect. It's a very comfortable and supportive bra. I just had breast surgery and was looking for a front opening bra for every day wear that didn't look like a sport bra under clothes. I bought this to wear when when I walk. I was expecting it to be a little tighter to provide support when you "bounced." There's no way it would provide normal sports bra support if I were running, but that's okay; I don't run yet. If I ever graduate to a running phase, I will need to buy another bra. For now, I am super happy to have bought this bra for all the other comforts it brings. It's a front closure bra. The zipper has big teeth yet you can't feel them. It is super easy to fasten. It holds in ALL of my chub. The bottom of the cups do not get as sweaty as others do. The racer back is a lightweight mesh that you can't feel is there. Lastly, the rest of fabric is so breathable you can't really tell you are wearing a bra. I've already worn it as a bedtime bra twice. When/if I wear out this one, I'll certainly be buying another one.

Offers fairly good support by compression, but they don't last very long, nor do they come in a good variety of sizes.
Valmont Response: This style comes in 34-48 B/C and D/E. The B/C is small enough to fit most B cups and stretches enough to comfortably fit most C cups Same goes for the D/E in these cup sizes. We feel that this range covers a lot of sizes.

I had a Breast Reduction January 30th, 2013 and searched for weeks for the "best" bra---I found it with this front zip Valmont bra and you cannot beat the price!!! The sizing for me was spot on-I originally bought the next size up the 34 D/DD for just after surgery thinking I would need bigger-not so should have bought the right size from the beginning 34 B/C-that was the right size...I wore the bigger for the first week and then reordered these--PERFECT! The bra washes great, line dry it and all will be well. Customer Service was great for deciding size and for returning. Great Company and when I am ready for a "new bra" for my girls--coming to HerRoom. I also use the Genie Bra which also was very comfortable and because of the ability to step into it was also a good inexpensive choice.

Zipper can be very hard to use sometimes, other times it is fine. It also seems to be for left handed people. My other bras zip on the other side and are much easier to zip up than these.
Valmont Response: We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty with this bra. This is the first complaint ever received about the zipper. The zipper does attach/hook opposite from what is normal, but once hooked, it zips directly up.

Way too small even though I bought a much larger size because of previous reviews. Even the 40 was too small but I needed it as I was post surgery breast reduction. Band also rides up and irritates incision. Good bra but not for post op use.

Comfortable. I ordered a size larger than nec. because of back trouble. I use this while working around the house and garden, and it is SO much better than the average bra (not so comfortable) or the chemise (no support). The all-cotton factor is the best and really the reason I tried it. I've now ordered one in every color (white, black, gray) available. I did have a problem with the zipper in one, but returned it and expect the new one any day.

Not as I expected. Larger than I expected. I also hoped this would be the bra to provide the front closure as well as finally no show through. unfortunately, my hunt continues! Why, why, why is it so difficult to find a comfortable front close sports bra that no show through that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I bought two of these to wear a couple of months after having rotator cuff surgery. The racer back puts the straps in a place where they don't cause pain in my shoulder and the front zip is important since I can't hook a bra in the back yet. Exactly what I was looking for in a low impact sports bra, but the 34 was so small I couldn't get it closed, and the 36 was so big that it provided no support whatsoever. So, I had to return them

This bra is very badly constructed. I got a B/C cup and it would have fit someone in a much larger cup. Also the fabric is not strong enough to be use in a sports bra.

I ordered 4 of these sports bras, I love them! Most comfortable bra's I have owned. The only "downside" is you can see the zipper "bulge" a little under a t-shirt. There are no underwires so no digging into your skin under the arm. The fabric is soft, of good quality and well constructed. I am very please with this purchase and they are very reasonably priced for the quality. Happy Customer!!

I purchased this product as a comfortable support bra post-lumpectomy and it was great to bring to the hospital to put on right after surgery. The zip up style is perfect since lifting my arm would have been difficult. It is comfortable to sleep in as well. I have another, more supportive type for walking around to do everyday things. It is soft and comfy. I don't think it would be supportive enough for true exercise.

Sports Bra soft; thicker material than expected (no show-thru). Not as pretty esthetically and not much lift for my C size but does not squish breasts together. Do not like the feel of the back construction of the bra although comfortable. Like having a front closure for ease of getting into and out of the bra. The zipper seems to stay up fine when exercising.
Valmont Response: We are glad you liked some features of this bra. The cup material needs to be somewhat thicker because it is cotton. If it were not a little thicker it would not be supportive.

I ordered two (black and grey) and they both fit perfectly. I have rotator cuff injury from martial arts. Wearing these bras really helps when there is little shoulder mobility, especially with recuperating from surgery. The zipper stays put, the bra is comfortable, I'm able to move--there is no binding. I'm going to order more. I just wish there were more color varieties of this.

Comfort was great, but was in a store and the zipper started slowly coming unzipped. Luckily I had a jacket on. The experience made me realize that I'd have to safety pin it or come up with some other way of securing it. I haven't worn it since.

This item, which I ordered in black, fits perfectly and is very comfy. My only issue with it is that, although washed in cold water, on gentle cycle, with mild laundry detergent, it faded more than I would have expected or wished the very first time I washed it.
Valmont Response: We are sorry this happened, we sell alot of this style in black and this sounds like this is a very isolated incidence, we do not hear of this happening often.

I purchased two bras (one black, one grey) to use after breast reduction. The front zipper makes it very easy to put on and get off. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. I worked out in it (three and a half weeks post op) and it was fine. If ordering to use as a post operative bra, if in doubt, order larger. I am a full "C" and the D/E fits fine. I would imagine having it fit tighter would be great if you not post-op and are looking for a smooth t-shirt sports bra. The band underneath acts as support, and because bra is so soft and smooth, it won't leave "dents" in your back. Overall, great bra!

I recently had breast reduction surgery. This bra is simply wonderful. It is so comfortable and easy to wear. I especially love the way the back is designed and the cloth banding (instead of the rubber-ised or wire based underbands). I plan to purchase more. My only negative comment is that it is not available in other colors. Thank you for making my post-surgical procedure so much more comfortable!!!

This light support, comfortable bra has been great for right after reconstruction surgery. Now that I am back in regular bras, I wear this for the light support I needed while I slept for the first 6-8 months that my surgeon suggested. Comfy, easy care and a great value compared to all the $40-80 options.

Considered this bra as a post-op option for after breast reduction surgery. I am fit, but wore a 38 DD - 38 DDD prior to my operation, and found the 38 D/E size of the Valmont zip-front bra provided no support at all. I ordered the C-cup size, and found that to have no support either. I returned both this size and the smaller size, and went with the UnderArmour zip-front, which I love! Even if I had ordered this bra for use during yoga, I would have returned it. This might work for women who are at an A-size, but not for those of us with larger breasts!

I have been searching for a good bra for Yoga. So many of the sports bras for well endowed women are rigid and/or have underwires. Ugh! I have searched high and wide for years. I have found it! I bought this for my elderly mother. She has serious curvature of the spine and sloped shoulders. She has lost weight and gravity has taken over. So she has had troubles finding a bra that fits around and that the straps stay up. After 1 week of wearing this bra, she says her back feels better. The bra in itself is great, I've ordered several before. This issue however, is that within 2 months of this purchase the pull part of the zipper separated from the rest of the zipper. I purchased this bra in black and heather - they seem to fit the same. I wanted them for everyday wear in summer - with D's, perspiration can be a huge problem, and this fabric seems to soak it up better than most. They are comfy, and, while they might protect from black eyes whilst jumping, they would not be all that good for being very up-and-down active out in public. I will certainly buy them again.

I bought this zip-front bra one size larger than I anticipated needing, as I was having breast reduction surgery. Now two weeks post-op, I find it to be incredibly comfortable, especially with the racerback straps avoiding the grooves in my shoulders from wearing an HH cup preoperatively! The zip-front allowed me to do my own dressing changes unassisted, and now allows me to dress without stressing my suture lines. I give this bra 4 stars only because I feel it is minimally supportive and would not wear it for any exercise more demanding than powerwalking. A fabulous bargain, though!

I needed a sports bra (doctor order) that zipped in front due to surgery and secondary complications with my shoulder. I purchased this bra specifically because the bra straps wouldn't be seen. Over the course of the day however the bra straps creep up toward my neck and can be seen.

I just had a breast reduction, and one of the requirements was to find a bra for my aftercare, that would zip up in the front and support me during my healing. Your bra has done exactly that, and I am very pleased. Thank you.

Great Bra. I would buy more of them. The front zipper is great for easy on/off, and it does not get in the way, or rub against my skin. I wear the bra all day long in total comfort.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have great "bounce control." Working out in it is fine as long as you're not running or jumping.

Fairly comfortable. I like that there is no wire, but still offers support. Better than most sport bras. However, the straps are very close to my neck and show under tops with the usual round neckline. Still looking for a bra with front opening. Such a help for someone my age with slight arthritis.

Though it is comfortable, this bra provides almost no support. The straps cannot be adjusted at all. Probably a decent choice IF it just happens to fit you perfectly.
Valmont Response:It is a soft Cup, and has a supportive back, we do average out the Cups B/C and D/DD so it may be better to size down in your case to 42D/DD. It has a lot of stretch to the fabric too.

I was going to buy this bra but the response from the manufacturer said it should be hand washed and line dried. Hand wash a cotton sports bra? Really? Not much of a sports bra, and how did you find cotton so crappy it can't be put through the washing machine?
Valmont Response: This Zipper Front sports bra is a 90% Cotton/10% Spandex Bra, and NO Way do we want the customer to machine Wash, or Dry, very delicate. It will last much longer if carefully washed. One of our BestSellers too!

I ordered various sizes of this bra to find the best fit for use as a sports bra to play tennis. I originally ordered my usual size (38D) but found it too large. In the end, I am keeping the 36 B/C, as it fits best. The zipper is easy in- easy off after a sweaty game! It seems well-made and breathes nicely. I am happy with it.

I am a paraplegic confined to a wheelchair. When I tried the bra on the zipper did not lay flat, but really stuck out at the top. This could have been because of my being in a wheelchair and not being able to sit up straight. I wish it had fit better because I really liked the bra.

This bra is just OK. It's hard to find front-closure bra's for anything, much less sports, that are great, so my expectations have gotten low. This one was comfortable and had no scratchy fabric for sure. The zip stays closed, a must-have. That said - it provides very little support. I returned the first one and sized down a cup size and, it was still too big. I'm mostly wearing this as a 'second', I wear two sports bras for extra support, but would never wear it as a 'first' or by itself.

I really wanted something that I can just throw on and zip up. It's very hard to find something like that in a 42C, so I was very excited when I saw this bra. However, even though the bottom band fits properly, the top of the bra, above the breast line, was very loose. It was as if the top was a larger band size. I would try a smaller band size, but I'm afraid that the zipper would break. Also, I have a short torso, so the straps were too long, and they could not be adjusted.

I've only washed it once and the black color has faded. Also, there is something rough on the seams which run across the over the shoulder straps.
Valmont Response:Regarding the fading of the color, this should be hand washed with no bleach and line dried. We're not sure what is rough on the straps. Maybe this is a defective bra, as this shouldn't be rough at all.

Pros: It is made of cotton so it breathes and is therefore good for post-surgery recovery keeping implants dry, clean and free of sweat. I also liked the molded cups that fit the breast shape naturally. Cons: The bra was cut too high in the armholes and too low at the rib cage so it digs in to my arms and ribcage. Also, not bad, but not great in terms of support for post-surgery recovery.

I ordered this sports bra for breast surgery. It came to me in just a few days. This is a well made bra. It fit me very well and was so comfortable. I have put this zipper to the test. It is well made with extra padding down the length of the zipper. I've had no issues with the zipper coming open as mentioned in other reviews. I'm really pleased with my purchase and will order more after I heal and determine my correct size. Thanks, Cindy

Poorly constructed, zipper came off tract. made to look like another brand of zipper sports bra, but doesn't have the support as other brand.
Valmont Response:
The 1611A zipper construction isn't easy. It's still one of our top sellers without complaints. However, we have seen problems when you are wearing too tight of a size. It must lay right to function. Consider going up a band size.

I ordered my exact size and the bra was too large. The zipper was warped and the front top edges were stretched out so much that they folded down. It was apparent this bra was just poorly constructed. I now know why it was only 20.00.
Valmont Response:
#1611 zip front sport Bra, is a tough bra . It's 90 Cotton and 10% spandex with lots of stretch. We double size b/c and d/dd so it isn't a normal fitting Bra. I assume you were the smaller of the cups either a B, or D, and as far as the Zipper, well its a novelty tough to maintain, we recommend hand washing and Line drying. Because this bra has a a lot of stretch it might not work on someone who's a B-, as it's not made in smaller size
I can hardly keep this bra in stock, and the reviews have been overall very good.

I enjoyed this bra, I like the mesh strap in back seems to make it cooler for me and I have issues reaching the very center of my back so typical hooks are hard for me to fasten, I usually have to end up snapping them before hand and squeezing into the bra but with the front zipper design this takes away any issues I may have had. The only down side is as a smaller cupped female, the zipper sticks out more so than my breasts, which is fine most of the time but can make an unwanted statement in less than casual wear. But overall a great fit and design. I just had to wait about a month to get the grey one delivered, guess it is the most popular color.

The zipper pull is on the left hand side, which is difficult for right handed users. It means we have to hold the bottom of the zipper combination with the right hand and pull the zipper with the left hand which as I said, is difficult for right handed users. Its a great bra for left handed users! It also seems to run a bit large in the band circumference.

I love this bra! I was looking for something comfortable with support to wear around the house and this bra was the answer for me. I like the racerback and front closure. This bra stays in place and does not ride up. The zipper works fine once you get the hang of the mechanics. You must be sure to zip it all the way up until it locks in place. The zipper does stick out a little under clothes so it is not a great T-shirt bra, however, that is not what I was looking for. I was looking for comfort and support! Great value for the price too!

While this bra offers good support, its construction is uncomfortable and feels "inexpensive". I find the back fabric irritating during a long work out session. The zipper distorted on the first washing.
I purchase front-close bras for the ease of removal after a hard session. This one, the zipper can get sticky so it doesn't slide easily.
Won't be buying it again.

Bought for post breast reduction surgery, however it does not provide enough compression. I think it will be a good bra for stretching, and it is very comfortable.

I purchased this bra for breast reduction recovery and it's been fabulous.
~ Comfortable
~ Supportive
~ Good coverage
~ No "uni-boob" look
Will continue wearing these bras for yoga after my recovery is over. Highly recommend this bra!

I really like how comfortable this sports bra is. I could have gone one size smaller, though. Will definitely order another!

I had arm surgery and had challenges with regular bras. This front closure zipper was easy to take on and off with limited use of my right arm and hand. Very comfortable and reasonably priced. I bought it big for comfort but probably didn't need to. One of the only zipper bras I found so I'm very pleased.

I think I ordered it too big first of all, but it doesn't have very good support for me either. I wouldn't recommend this one.

Purchased this bra to wear following shoulder surgery. The position of the zipper was perfect so that I have been able to get dressed without assistance. I did find that the cups run a bit full although I need the 36 more for the width. Will continue to use this bra as it is comfortable and provides enough support for light gym activities like yoga or walking on the treadmill.

It is a good quality bra. The zipper is convenient and comfortable. The only thing that I don't like is the way the back has been designed. The piece on the back is too large and, on a warm summer day, one would like something lighter, leaving more skin free to breath. May be it is a bra more suitable for winter.

This bra is ok for wearing around the house or for someone with smaller breast. I am a 36DD and the bra does not give me the lift or separation that I want. The cups are not very contoured. This bra is very comfortable and soft however, I am not too impressed with the zipper. Once I fight to get my breast inside of the cups then I have to fight to zip the zipper. Maybe the bra is good but not for my breast size.

This was perfect for what I needed...I am a breast cancer survivor and needed a sports bra for the recuperation (reconstruction) period...this was very reasonably priced (unlike most) and did the trick and of course with the zipper in the front was easy to get on!

Bra is fine except I thought "lightly contoured cups" meant there would be some kind of molded shape built it. Although it is contoured, there are no molded cups or other support - it is all cloth. Fine if that's what you're looking for. I love the concept with the zipper front. HerRoom Response: The cups on this bra are molded - not contoured. I'm afraid we don't know how you thought they were contour given that our description does not state so.

I just had breast augmentation surgery and I bought this bra for the support and the front closure. It is much more comfortable than the surgical bras that my doctors office has and it rides low enough on my chest wall that it doesn't even touch my incisions below my breast. I went in for my 1 week check up and the doctor and nurse asked me about my bra and are now looking into recommending it to others.

After a hard upper-body workout, it is painful to pull off the traditional sport bra. The Valmont zip front is an answer to my prayers.
Supportive enough for high intensity intervals, absorbs perspiration during challenge weight training, and not painful to remove in the locker room afterward.
Now if they would use a slightly smaller -and more discreet zipper. Wondering how it hold up to many machine launderings.

For me, this is just a Saturday afternoon bra. It's comfortable, but not very supportive and doesn't separate and define. It's great for when you want a soft bra that doesn't dig or pinch. I'm not having any trouble with the zipper at present.

Needed the bra to wear home from the hospital after having a breast biopsy.I like the bra but it arrived in a torn clear plastic bag. The bra did not have any tags attached.I contacted the company and was told that the bra was new and unused. I do not believe them. HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are very careful to check our products before they leave us. However, if you don't feel comfortable with this item, please return for a full refund.

I loved the comfort of this bra and ordered two more once I tried it. It was excellent for my very specific needs following breast reduction. It was supportive, yet soothing with no wires or sharp edges. Also, the bottom ridge leans on the rib cage below the breast, so it did not rub on the incisions directly under the breast.

I love the back: it has some mesh, which allows really good airflow. The shoulder straps never come down, which is the main reason I bought it, and the front actually gives my breasts support and shape; it doesn't flatten me. I never really feel that I have a bra on, however, the one drawback is a pretty large and klunky zipper that shows through my tee-shirts. I would buy this bra again, especially if they improved the size of the zipper.

The Valmont is exquisitely soft cotton and offers just the right amount of compression without too much "squeeze". I would recommend it for low impact sports such as walking or yoga. Fabulous softie soft low impact sport bra.
