fit is good. seems like I have less projection. only complaint is the elastic used in the side and rear band. itchy on my sensitive skin. had to make it looser, which provides less support.

This bra runs large in both band and cups. I first got my usual 38C then 36B which works great. It is very supportive and I often wear it while doing my morning stretches.
As some previous reviewers indicated this bra indeed lifts you up. Not necessarily a bad thing, I found it to give me a flattering look under jackets or sweaters, as well as a silky robe.

I dub thee the bullet bra! This bra has the weirdest shape I've ever worn! It reminds me of the bullet bras I've seen in old movies. Doesn't do much in the way of minimizing. I was looking for another option in case my go to bra was not available but this will not be it!

Love this minimizer. I am a bit self conscious of the fact that my breasts have gotten bigger after menopause, and I love the minimizing effects. I do not like any bounce when I walk and this bra delivers. Best all around bra for these features that I have found. I did not have the pointy effect that others noted, but I make sure my girls are properly adjusted in the cups. I have tried many minimizers and this is my best!

Fantastic minimizing quality--very supportive with almost no Lycra/spandex to stretch or sag. I especially like the fact it minimizes without a uni-boob look.

I agree with another writer who said this bra was a bit pointy. You don't expect this from a minimizer. I'm keeping it as it fits reasonably well otherwise. I like the champagne color--more neutral for me than nude. The lacing is also a very nice detail that doesn't create a seam that can be seen under clothes.

I bought this as a replacement for my favorite minimizer Bali 3642. The cups are a similar fabric in that they don't stretch, they minimize well & prevent bounce. But I felt a bit like Madonna on her "Blonde Ambition" tour as these cups are more pointy & less round. I exaggerate of course, but am finally getting used to the look & actually enjoy not having a 'uniboob' for once. Overall I'm very happy with this bra.

At first I wasn't sure about the bra, but in the end I really like it. It does minimize, and the final shape is somewhat mannequin-like. There is good separation and lift. The fabric gives good support. It is quite comfortable. As for sizing, I am finally settling down to a consistent size after 6 years of pregnancy and lactation. I think it might run a wee bit small, but I'm not totally sure as I haven't worn many 32DD bras yet for comparison.

This was the first time ordering these bras from this site. One of the bras had a hook missing in the middle row. I did not notice until I went to use the bra. I called customer service to see what options I had and I didn't have any because I had already taken the tags off. I didn't think I had to check that closely for defects, but obviously I do. My recommendation is to check your bra thoroughly before removing the tags.

This is a great bra for true minimizing. I am able to wear t-shirts with a deep v-neck without having a jiggly cleavage, and yet still maintain a perky silhouette! There is definitely a more torpedo shaped look, but I think more of the breast is gathered up from the underarms than my other Wacoal minimizer. I like both, and will wear both at different times, with different garments. As I said, this bra looks great with the deep-v neck clothing and maybe many other things. I am so happy to have found this site with many minimizer bras available. I also like this price point. With a daughter in college sucking all the money out of me, I have a hard time paying $70+ for a bra, and to tell the truth, I don't think they last any longer than bras at the $40-50 price point. There is a distinct difference in bras made in the Dominican Republic, China, Honduras,Mexico, and underdeveloped countries. The back itches, the elastic doesn't last any time at all, etc. The mid-range prices do last, and I now have a couple of styles from this site. I wear a 32DD, and I am 5'5", 132 lbs, and I am a *young* 52 year old that wants to keep my youthful appearance, but still look age appropriate. Saggy saggy = oldie oldie.

Pointed, ick! I want a minimizer that separates and makes me look rounded. Non stretch straps, regular back (not racerback), three hooks. They've stopped making my Bali minimizer and I've ordered several other styles now (price range upper $30's to mid $60's without success) and all give me a pointed look. I weigh 123, am 5'2" and wear a 32DD, but I have heavy breasts and need super under bust support. HELP anyone?
VaBien Response:This fall Va Bien is coming out with a bra in the frame of style #601 that will give a more rounded look. While style #601 is not as “pointed” as some other minimizers out there. Many people, in fact, love the shape that style #601 gives them, but this new bra will be more round.

No verdict yet. I am awaiting a new size. The 32DDD was supposed to take the place of my normal size of 34DD that fits in the cup, but is a bit loose around. The cup size was way too small and it was a bit tight around. Trying the 34 DDD. I will let you know how it goes.

This was not a good fit and did not have the molded cups, as I thought it would. I can sometimes wear a 36D, but the DD was still too small.
Vabien Response:This style has molded cups. It is a minimizer bra, so the cups are going to run smaller than average, as the purpose of this bra is to flatten the bust. This is not a full figure bra and it is possible that you are not wearing your true bra size. If you aren't looking to be minimized this is not the best bra for you. We would recommend getting measured to find out what your correct bra size is and we think you will be happier.

These were purchased for my 13-year-old daughter, who doesn't feel it is a blessing to be as curvy as she is. (At 18, she may feel differently!) We become frustrated by department stores that sell push-up and padded styles...and your minimizer are perfect for her. They fit perfectly too. Now she has a sleeker silhouette all over :)

First of all, I don't know how I ever bought bras before HerRoom! This site has SO many styles, and they're organized so sensibly, it's easy to zero in on just what you need. Compare this to a store where you're limited to whatever small selection of lines/styles they happen to carry, and good luck finding your size in the style you want! I want a minimizer and they're not so easy to find a variety of styles (and in my size!) in the stores.
The Va Bien 601 is wonderful. Be warned: when I first tried it on I was shocked by the silhouette it gave me; at first it seemed too pointy and "cone bra" looking to me. In retrospect I realize it's because my previous bras made me sit much lower, which actually made me look bigger and made my whole body look wider because of the way clothes hung on me. The "perkier" fit of this Va Bien bra makes all my clothes fit better and makes me look slimmer and taller. It took a little getting used to, but the silhouette is very youthful and flattering. The comfort is unparalleled. The unlined cups are non stretchy and very supportive, and the style is very simple and smooth so it works great under most any outfit. I am ordering more of this style now; it is my new everyday bra.

I am VERY picky when it comes to minimizer. I will spend any amount of $ on a bra that will actually minimize and help me appear more slender. This bra totally works! It is much less $$ than most minimizer I've owned. I have not been so pleased with a bra since they discontinued the Bali butterfly minimizer. And the no stretch material is the ONLY way to go for big busted girls who want true support.

I bought three different minimizer's before going on vacation, so had to deal with them all. Of the three, this one was the smallest (all ordered in the same size), perhaps because it's not stretchy at all. It feels a little retro, but it really does hold the girls in place and gives a nice shape. It's very smooth and wears nicely under t-shirts, and the straps are wider, which is comfortable, but no so wide that they look heavy-duty. I'll continue wearing the one I have, but will probably not order another.
