I liked the quality of the item however in the crouch on the left side of the eyelet hook not the hook there is a very sharp point in the material. Very uncomfortable and pain-ful I have to put a small pad on the area to wear it. I have worn the item once. The back of the garment is too low. I would prefer it to be higher. I like the garment it fits well, you can wear it comfortably all day, but I don't have it for six months and the fabric is ripping. Maybe it is a defect from fabric. It is a shame because I would have but two more, but this garment will not be very durable.

This shaper really does the job. It it very firm control but it still comfortable. It does give your breast the 50s 60s pointy bra look, but I like that. It is a lovely garment. Because of my bust size my back bothers me. This body briefer really helps that. Its one flaw is the back piece of the crotch tab is way to short and the front piece to long. This garment is ok. Doesn't really smooth out tummy or sides. A bit uncomfortable down their when walking. Its hard to unstrap and strap back when using the rest room. I think it should be reverse.

I have worn this bodysuit for many years and love it. I have tried others only to return them as unsatisfactory. This garment fits well, is confortible to wear and lasts a long time, holding it's shape for at least 6 months with daily washing. Believe me when I tell you this is the best bodyshaper out there! I have used the 1291 model off & on for over 25 years and had tried others throughout the years. This body shaper is the best I have ever used. It has great support and comfort. The black shaper is made better than the champagne colored one. The black shaper is made with great wide elastic straps that don't pinch the shoulders.There are are no seams or lines that would be seen through clothes or cause discomfort. I have tried other shapers throughout the years. ! I hope VaBien continues to make the wide straps and hope they will made the champagne colored shaper with the wider straps also. OMG!!!!! I love it!!!!!! The fit was prefect, every part of my body felt great and look good in my clothes. I was looking for this Control Bodysuit for a year, because a lot of the store don't carry it, but they need to because it does wonders for your body, I know it does for me. I would give this shapewear five stars BUT the lace on the cups is so fragile that after a few washings it develops holes. Hand washing lasts a little longer but for the price needs stronger cup fabric. It is comfortable, easy to wear, controls well but could use wider straps for those of us who are more buxom. This had good, strong control but was too long in the torso for me (about 5'4"). At first, I thought I could make it work, but the extra length was not comfortable or convenient. I've worn this Va Bien style undergarment for 19 years. A local finer retail chain discontinued carrying this style and I wore substitutes that I was not pleased with until finding HerRoom. Over the years the materials used in the manufacture of this undergarment has changed. The feel is not as conforming, does not offer the extent of back support it once did, the lacy portion in the cups area is fragile and susceptible to snagging and ripping, and does not seem to has as long a life. I always tried to keep a few on hand to rotate them for longer use life--but price has limited that practice. I've been very satisfied with the customer service from HerRoom in ordering this item exclusively and have had only one occasion of a delay in securing the product because of back order. All considering I hope Va Bien does not discontinue is production of this style as it is far better than any of it other body briefers for me. Lucretia from San Diego, CA, US

I wore it a couple of days ago to a wedding. Since I suspected I would have trouble, I waited to use the bathroom until just before we planned to leave. I got the hooks and eyes at the crotch unfastened, but I was not able to reach to refasten them. So I tucked and smoothed the lower part of the garment into my panties; maybe next time I'll figure it out better. Otherwise it was comfortable and served its purpose well. Reba from Parkland, WA

Started wearing this 11 years ago and love it. However, as noted by other reviewers, the quality has deteriorated, for the price. Quality of the garment has changed since i first started purchasing the garment (approx 10 years), and it takes too long to obtain from the time the order is placed. I don't believe that HerRoom has anything to do w/the manufacturing of garment or the time that it takes to deliver, but will be looking for replacement undergarment.

One of the best! I need to wear a body suit to help my back. This one is almost perfect-giving good support while being comfortable. My only complaint is that the hooks and eyes at the crotch meet too far to the rear. For a person with short arms, like me, this requires contortions to close the hooks. Depending on where I am and what I am wearing, I sometimes find it easier just to pull the whole thing down and then back up again. Otherwise, this is great. cj from Grand Rapids, MI

I agree with the one who wrote requesting long torso suits...I am petite in height but have a long torso which looks dumpy, as I need a good foundation garmet. All these things are beautiful, but I am now much older, look good and want to stay that way. When you have arthritis in the hands, pulling a body suit on is very very difficult. WHY OH WHY do you not make a front fastening all-in-one.(corselette) It is SO much easier and ALL of these things could be bought and adored. I think you would sell millions to people like me!!! I received my black Va Bien body slimmer with size 48DD cup very quickly. It is very comfortable and sexy in black. But it lacks tummy control and it made my poor breasts shoot upward and outward like guns on a battleship and it looked terrible under the clothes I slipped on. Sadly, I have to return it. I am five feet tall & weigh 105lbs, but am a 34DD. The combination of being short, short-torsoed, and busty presents a tremendous challenge in finding clothes that fit well, let alone bras or shapewear that supports (lifts), minimizes, fits, & feels comfortable. I had purchased several of these bodysuits several years ago & needed more but the brand name had worn off the tags; I was in a panic. Bewildered & in desperation, I tried searching the internet. To my relief, I finally found it again. This is the most effective bodysuit ever! It indeed supports, minimizes (all over), and distributes the weight of my bust more evenly so that I don't come home with sore shoulders & neck at night.
