The bikini is the first thing we think of when it comes to low-rise swimsuit bottoms. Typically sitting way below the waist, often on the lowest part of the hip, a bikini bottom has minimal coverage in the rear as well. These low-rise suits sometimes have tie at the waist to control how much skin you expose. But there are swimsuit bottoms other than bikinis that have the popular low rise waist. Boyshort styles cover more, including the rear, while still featuring that low waistband. Another popular swimwear bottom is the fold-over waist, which provides a wide band, often in contrast color or print. Similar to the fold over waistband is the low-rise bottom with a waistband that is so wide it almost becomes a skirt. Show lots of tummy, but a little less upper thigh in this style.
