These are definitely a better quality garment than the ones I usually purchase. The fabric is more dense and holds up to long wear. With my other pettileg type garments, I usually have to sew the seams up after a couple weeks wear. So far, that is not the case with the Shadowline Pettilegs. I will be purchasing more. In the main, historically speaking, Shadowline has provided us, with some of the most ASTONISHINGLY, ELECTRICALLY SOFT Tricot Lingerie-Wear, ranking right up there--sometimes equaling--along with Vanity Fair, and the now-extinct Kayser and Van Raalte. These Pettiepantie Pants Liners are NO exception. These are fabricated with a Nylon Tricot very similar to Shadowline's Opacitrique (more on that later), but perhaps just a little more Heavy-Gauge. For those of you with modesty issues, they're not quite as sheer as other of Shadowline's offerings, so you may rest easy on that account. To be sure, these ought to work fine, with your long skirts, as well as trousers. But they will serve VERY ADMIRABLY, for your sleep, lounge, and play purposes as well, the Nylon's THAT luxurious. I personally wouldn't use them as panties, in the strictest sense of that definition, though, as these are not supportive as panties usually are supposed to be; they fit very, very loose. I do suppose though, that one could elasticate the Leg Hems on their own, for a more caressing and proactive fit. My mistake, I admit, I ordered, and now own, Two Pairs of these in Size 2XL, and they're almost a bit large for a 38" Waist. Next time, I'll just order a Size 1XL, or maybe even a Size L, to get a snugger, clingier, and more caressing fit, about my tummie, hips, and derriere, no problem there. Just use your more global knowledge about how slips/daywear is supposed to fit; Shadowline is quite liberal in how they allocate, assign their Sizings, for all of their pretties. I do earnestly hope that you, my friends at Her & His Rooms, will very SOON, add the newly-revived Shadowline Opacitrique Seamless, Single-Layer Full Briefs, Style #17017's, to your Shadowline offerings. As some of my long-time Shadowline Sister & Brother (Yes!!) aficianados may tell you, those were/are amongst the greatest hits of Shadowline's, ever, offering a bit more freedom than "conventionally" gusseted panties.
