I'm 5'5" tall, 140 lbs, 38-33-40 and the size Large fit my waist and hips well. I thought the fabric was too thin, and the length too long. Even at its shortest, the slip was going to hit me at a weird part of my leg. I'm looking for a 20-22 inch long slip and this was around 24 inches at its longest. I already have 24 inch long slips. Lovely lightweight slip. I want the long length so won't be snipping away at the hem. The tiers of lace around the hem are pretty and make me want to show them off from under my skirts. I'm 138 lbs. and size M fits well. At 5'6" the 27" length falls just below my knees. Washed this slip on gentle cycle in my washer and it came out with no shrinkage. Great product for the price paid! The fit is good. I was between sizes on the size chart, so I picked the smaller one since it is an undergarment and I'm glad I did cuz it fits perfect. This slip is lovely. Fits well, is comfortable, I like the style. Although I ordered it in a more "beige" or "off white" color, after washing (by hand, mild detergent, etc.) the color turned to a shade of yellow. That is my only negative comment.
