I have loved Shadowline because they are fuller in the backside than most. However, these new panties have elastic in the legs that seems too loose. I compared the legs to a pair that I already had and the older ones had more elasticity than the new ones! I am disappointed because they tend to ride up, where as the old ones don't.

I have a couple of pairs of very old Shadowline size 5 undies which are a tad too small. The new ones are a tad too large. If every company continues adjusting the sizes to flatter women who have indulged in too much fast food, really little women are going to be looking for size minus-ten. I'm already having trouble finding size 5 in anything but the plainest, most basic briefs.

When I purchased these panties about a year ago, they were sold in sizes S, M, L, etc. and I purchased size S. While I loved the fabric and the smooth fit, I found the leg openings to be too large for me. AWESOME panty! Silky feel with large rear, mushroom shaped, gusset. They don't make full cut panties like this anymore. Fits under the curve of my behind and doesn't cut across my cheeks. The Shadowline Nylon Classic Brief I ordered happily surprised me with the smoothness of its fabric, which in my experience is more like the better quality panties that were made in the past. It's great to find these. The only thing that I wish was different is the size. Size 4 used to be commonly available, which fit me perfectly as I'm a small size. But the smallest size that's now almost universal is size 5, as is with the present Shadowline pants. I'd love for the makers of these panties to bring back a size 4! I was favorably impressed by the Shadowline 17042 briefs as to fabric, fit and overall quality. The rise seems a little higher and the crotch wider than the Vanity Fair Ravissant 15-712 briefs I usually wear and are of comparable style and quality. However, I more recently ordered the Ravissant brief in blue and found it to be almost the same cut and style as the Shadowline briefs and without the sewn in label. They were stamped Vanity Fair 6 / M 15712 RN16345 38. I like them better than the earlier VF Ravissant briefs and would rate them a little better than the Shadowline briefs mainly for the smooth waist band and the texture and finish of the nylon fabric. These are very nice Shadowline #17042 briefs, comparable to Vanity Fair Ravissant 15-712 briefs that I usually wear, but a little fuller cut. However, I more recently ordered my usual Ravissant brief in Blue which on arrrival was imprinted 6 / M 15712 instead of the usual label. I was very favorably impressed by the fabric and quality of the Vanity Fair brief, notably a wider crotch and what seems to be a slightly higher rise which is no problem. I am favorably impressed with the Shadowline 17042 brief, but I rate it slightly below the latest Vanity Fair 15712 which has a smoother waistband. Vicki from NH

Shadowline panties were made with 84% nylon and 16% spandex and these are 100% nylon. The size is not consistent with the original product. A nine would have been 1X or a 2X. I was some what disappointed that it is not exactly like the original product. Marsha
