What has happened to the quality of this panty. I have worn this style for years and in the last two orders the elastic in the top and leg opening has frayed after the first washing. Also, the material in the crotch is very thin and does not hold up. Please bring back the quality we expect from Shadowline.

These panties are poorly made. After two or three wears and a wash, they are coming apart. The stitching on the cotton crotch insert is especially poor. The fabric pieces also appear to be shabbily cut and ragged. I was also surprised by how loosely these fit, especially around the legs. Shadowline is the best lingerie made, durable and attractive. I've bought everything from sexy lingerie to hospital lingerie to slips and panties. Unfortunately I've had weight gain so I have worn sizes sm,med,large(1X) and thought I needed 2X but there is considerable increase between a 1X and the 2X so I need to stay in size 1X. I found that 2X is designed to allow more inches above the waist line as well as in the hips. For now I will stay in a 1X and hopefully regain a slimmer figure and one day be in a medium. I have worn the shadowline panties that I ordered from your company for years. I used to be able to find them at department store. One day the lady in the department store told me that shadowline was going out of business and that's why they didn't carry the panties anymore. That was probably 2 years ago. I have been wearing this panty since the 70's when my Mother owned a ladies dress shop and carried the Shadowline lingerie. In the past 20 years the only place I was able to find them was at a department store. About 2 years ago they quit carrying them. Just recently I got the bright idea to look for them on-line. Nice panties but did not work for me. I carry weight in stomach and have no bottom. They were very large, probably should have ordered 2x. I read reviews and reordered Warners Without at Stitch and I absolutely love them! They have just enough stretch to fit in all the right places. Waist band is a little snug but helps them stay up...a major problem for gals with not bottom or hips. I have also decided to try Bali Skimp Skamp and ordered three more pairs of Warners 6173. I have searched high and low for something that covers stomach and fits rear. Amazing someone could get so excited over new panties!
