WOW! I did a lot of research on shapers for my wedding... even ordered and returned some very expensive spanx. But I am so happy to have found Rago. I ordered these and another style and can’t say enough good things... already recommended them to all the women in my life. They suck you in, smooth you out and are invisible under a dress. The boning keeps them in place but I love the fact that, while they are high wasted and sit just under my ribs, the back dips down. So they won’t be seen under my low back wedding dress. I wanted to like this, but I'm returning. I'm sure for some people, it works, but for me it slimmed my hips WAY down, and I don't like that. It pretty much made my waist and my hips the same size, and this is a problem I have with a lot of shapewear. My waist is so much smaller than my hips that anything that's going to shape my hips is going to be too big in the waist. I think this would work beautifully on the right person. Listen ladies, this is one sexy girdle. It is comfortable once its on, although its hard to get on. It held me in with no bulging. I am a regular 4 -6 size and weigh 130 lbs. The girdle hits about 3 inches below my bra, which covers my problem area, my tummy. You can wear this all day and forget its on. Now sometime when sitting for a long period of time, the bones in it may dig into your skin a little. Once you re-adjust it you should be fine. Once I managed to get the thing on it did flatten out the front of my stomach however it did give me muffin sides mostly because even though it was my regular size it was way too small so I would definitely recommend sizing up(I think makers of bottoms for plus size women need to understand just because it fits the stomach and the waist does not mean it will fit over the butt.). This definitely sucks in the stomach and thighs much better than spanx. Once on, actually is very comfortable. Boning helps it from rolling down compared to other products that don't have it. Used it to try on wedding dresses and looked great under dresses. My problem will be if I want a low cut back, this will not work. I sized per the hip measurements and fits fine. Was less than impressed with this shaper. It gave some shape and dimension but nothing drastic (which is what I was looking for). My biggest gripe was that it does not come up high enough, especially in the back. So there is a gap between the waistband of the shaper and your bra-line. I know some women say they just wear a longline bra to hide this, but the point of a high waist shaper is to come up HIGH - not to have to wear something else on top of it.

Definitely a challenge to get into, but once you have it on it is remarkably slimming. My only issue is that, like all shapewear, it pushes any "softer areas" up or down and can create a weird bulge. After trying the Rago 6207 girdle, I abandoned all other shapewear. This girdle makes me look very good. What I like best is that with it being high waisted, there is no muffin top effect and the long leg perfectly solves one of my two primary trouble spots. I read all the reviews and took their advice--ordered 2 sizes larger than usual. Very glad I did. I felt like a snake trying to crawl back into its skin, but once they're on they're perfect! My backside is small, but due to back problems I have a little pouch on front. This fixes that. I might mention, if you have long nails, as I do, go slowly so you don't puncture the fabric. It is sturdy, but the thought crossed my mind. I love the garters. They are scarce these days. Just ordered some lace-top nylons . Very sexy. Can't wait for occasion to wear them. My trouble-spots are the sides of my thighs and midsection. The Rago 6207 works wonders on these two areas. The firming effect is rather strong; when I wear it under my Capri pants. I have several longleg shapers. Most are moderate to firm control. The Rago 6207 is a firm control garment. Once on it stays firmly in place. It has made a significant difference under my dresses. I love the garters too! I've worn it with stockings recently as the weather has turned cold. The garters tug a little bit when going up or down steps or sitting down but they stay securely in place.The lace fabric is very pretty gives great hold and all day support. Mika from bronx new york

I love, love, love these. If you want to look a size smaller wear these. If you want to sit up straight wear these. If you don't want to eat like a horse wear these. This girdle is fantastic! I had been wearing the usual control-top pantyhose and occasionally, some Spanx panties but wow, this girdle makes me leave all those items in the lingerie drawer anymore! As an HR manager, I have to look my best at work. I wear skirts and dresses to work but, at 5 foot 9 inches tall and 180 pounds, it's not always easy to find the right shapewear to make the outfit look great. Using the size chart, I could see that the 4X (dress size 22) looked correct and was I surprised at how well it fit me! Even the length was great, which is unusual for me. I washed the girdle by hand with a drop of liquid hosiery soap before wearing and let it towel dry overnight. It went on beautifully but, it takes some work to get it completely on and adjusted just right but, the result is totally worth it! Depending on what heels and skirts I'm wearing, I also wear the garter stockings with this girdle instead of pantyhose, and the garters and lace legs keep the stockings in place really well and the lace girdle is much cooler than a pair of control top pantyhose and the garter stockings are cheaper too, a real plus for savings and great looks with comfort too. Just received my first Rago 6207 today, tried it on and it fits great. I am about 5'6 and 270 pounds and initially purchased the Rago to contour my mid section ( stomach). Not only was I able to comfortably fit the 4x with no problem, it took about 3 1/2 inches off my waist. However, while the rago took off the inches I would have loved to have a little more contour around the mid section in the front (more boning ) and a longer leg as this stops about mid thigh on me. Read other great reviews before purchasing this item, and I am very pleased. Bought it to wear to work under slacks, and it makes them fit so much better. Much more comfortable than foundation panties I had been wearing. More comfortable than spanx. I even took a break at work to get some exercise (trotting up and down the steps in the stairwell) and it stayed in place and was comfortable. The large that I ordered is way to big eventhough I went by the measurement descrlption on the website (my waist and hip measurements). So I have to send it back to try out a smaller size. I sent it hack for a Medium and I hope that works. I love the design (lace, sheer panels) but if you don't get your size correct this girdle goes all wrong. It will not make the areas you want to suck in, pulled in correctly. Which is the reason why I bought it to smooth everything out and accentuate my curves. This doesn't get five stars only because the off-center flap-gusset is virtually impossible to use as it was intended, becoming merely a weird way for fabric to bunch up in the least convenient location. Obviously it's difficult to get on but that's a natural side effect of its intended purpose. Once it's on however it works perfectly and wears fairly comfortably. It's really pretty. I just ordered my second Rago 6207 from HerRoom. Originally I had been looking for something that would remind me of my teenage years when girdles were quite common, something sexy but supportive. When my first one arrive I was very pleased with how it both looked and felt. At first the material was a bit stiff but as it says on the HerRoom web site, after washing it will soften, which it did. It takes a little work to get it on but that just seems to make it even sexier. The first one was black, today I ordered the white and I am hoping that I will enjoy it as much as the first. I thought I was too young to wear such garments but my mother was shopping with me one week-end whilst looking for a dress to wear to my best friends wedding , I found a very nice close fitting dress with a flattering line , except I noticed the odd bump around the waist when it was on , so my mother went off and came back with this RAGO GIRDLE I was appalled and told my other only old spinster's wore girdles like this , after a lot of protesting she helped me pull it on and after a some minutes I found the look great and very comfortable , I then put my dress back on , the result when wearing the girdle made the dress look so great yet alone my figure , I am now hooked on all types of girdles and have given up wearing thongs which are so uncomfortable and now wear various large pants with great comfort, I will never go back to wearing skimpy knickers , my shape really looks so much more feminine in pantie girdles and I feel more womanly and feminine ,I am so very happy my mother introduced me to Rago and other Rago products , I am now also into stockings which I also love wearing many thanks Sophie sophie from new york

I love this! I sized it using the chart and it fits great. I love that it gives me a waist and actually *shapes* instead of Spanx which just seems to smooth. It is also incredibly comfortable for the shaping power it has. It drops me down an actual half a size, but I look 2 sizes smaller with it on. I am 5'8" and 250lbs, usually a size 20W in dresses and jeans, and a 2X in other things. I got a 5X. In other words, SIZES RUN VERY SMALL for larger women. The sizes are NOT standard, so use the size chart and you'll be golden. I've always had trouble with split crotches... but I'm able to pull these up and down with relative ease, and five minutes in the bathroom isn't *too* long if you're female anyway. So far, so good! These work wonders for my waist line. I tried the Rago shaper on with a dress then tried the dress on with a shaper of another brand. There was no comparison! I'm 5'2, 113 lbs, with a 25.5 inch waist and 37.5 inch hips. I have always worn Spanx, but kind of hated them because they just sort of make you less squishy but even out your curves, and are always rolling down on the waist. In my slinky wedding dress I needed something better than that. I ordered the 6207 and it arrived today. Its surprisingly comfortable once you get it on (I rolled it down, stepped into it, and then rolled it up.) The size S works great even though according to the chart I have a hip measurement of an M. I'd say its a tiny bit too tall in the front (comes up just below my breasts) but I buy petites for their shorter torso length so thats not so surprising. The lace is a smidgen stiff/scratchy, but I think it will soften up with washing. It nips in my waist just like I wanted, and the boning doesn't show under my dress. I was told by HerRoom when I asked that it depends on the product as to it running small. So I read the reviews and noted that it runs small and I ordered a larger size. You had better order several sizes larger as it runs really small. I could tell by looking at it when I took it out of the package that it was way too small. I often wear shapers or control top pantyhose, but this was my first real girdle. For a good friend's wedding, I had bought this dress that is so cute, sexy, and, oh, did I mention, really tight around the hips and booty. I mean that dress feels and looks like only body paint sprayed there, haha. I decided I needed a little more than the usual help, so I bought myself this Rago. It was an experience to put on! But when I wore this girdle that dress looked to die for. This girdle felt a little different than any of the other shapewear that I wear quite frequently. More controlling and firm, but not uncomfortable. Even so, I worried that for an extended period and in different positons, it might ultimately be uncomfortable. I planned to wear it a number of days before the wedding to try, but somehow never did. So, I decided the day of the wedding to put it on the moment I got up and at least test things a little that way. My husband kept staring at me. I was like "what?" He just said I looked nice. I am asking him "just in my girdle?" The wedding was great. I got so many compliments. I know I was hott and that dress was smokin.' And kept getting asked to dance. I noticed my dance partners' hands lingering on my hips and other nearby places. It was a real turn-on. I told my husband and he said he noticed. The next day, though, I was so sore I could hardly get out of bed. I hurt in places I didn't even know I had muscles. It was all that girdle's fault! Even my sore throat, haha. My husband didn't let me sleep but a wink. Kept waking me and, well, you know, all night. OMG, I didn't know there were such positions or I could get into them, hehe. Forget Viagra. I bought the Rago shaper for my wedding. After looking at and trying on many shapers, including a very well known brand, I settled on this one. I could not be more pleased with it. Not only does it do the job effectively, it is pretty. I love the lace details and the boning on the sides. The garter clips are a nice option but don't stick out or cause extra lumps and bumps. The waist comes up high enough to tack some below the bra rib cage muffin and the legs stay in place without digging in to my thighs. I wore this under a poplin shirt dress. It really helped add structure and smoothness. It was a little awkward to get into and I periodically had to adjust the top where it pressed into my ribs but much of my discomfort was probably due to not yet being acclimated to shapewear. This is my second Rago long leg girdle and it won’t be the last! As a plus size model, I get to see and sometimes wear a lot of nice lingerie but… this girdle is way better than any of the Spanx or control top pantyhose styles I have worn or modeled in before. The lace fabric makes it pretty and you don’t feel like you need to hide it like some of the bike-shorts type girdles that look like men should wear them! I also like that this girdle can be worn with my sheer, thigh high stockings which match up perfectly with the length of the retro garters in the legs. If you are looking for a pretty, comfortable and smoothing girdle, this is the one to buy. Though I'm in my early thirties I'm a veteran in girdles. Have always loved wearing them, I'm very different than the gals who let it all hang out ugh. pros: this is an outstanding design- not only retro cute but really effective and so affordable! cons: rago's sizing system is horribly off. i wear a different size in every style of theirs that i own. huge fan of the brand but grow up and get your sizing figured out, Rago. their xs waist cincher fits me perfectly. i could not get into this item in size S no matter how i tried, and the L is too big. I absolutely love Rago items but this runs a size small. I bought a size S/26 and it is an XS/24. The waist cinchers however which are wonderful. Almost always need to be purchased a size smaller than listed or a else they won't whittle your waist down. I think I would like this item a lot if it was the right size, and I feel the sizing should have been clarified. I had traveled out of the country before i tried it on so it was impossible to return. I purchased this with the Rago Longline Lacette bra which I needed to return because it was so small. These are also very very snug though I did keep them. The size chart says to order a Medium if you wear a 10-12 dress size; I wear a 8-10. I really think the products I have purchase so far are sized very small--never a good thing in a shaper. This is amazing. I can see why women used to wear a girdle all the time. Unbelievable smoothness under clothes. Tight but still fairly comfortable. I have already worn it under multiple dresses and got many compliments on my figure! It works great under the tightest t shirt dresses. Better than any spanx ever could. If you want to wear those super clinging fabrics this is the one for you! No line from waist to knees and the lace leg bands don"t show a line either. LOVE this! This is my first piece of shapewear, and combined with the Carnival longline bra, I don't recognize myself in the mirror! This was really hard to get on and I wasn't able to pull it all the way up in back by myself and am embarrassed to ask anyone. I read that if you put it on like stepping into a peeled banana and rolling it up and on, it is easier, so I'm going to try that. It didn't seem itchy and it didn't roll down (I've only had it on for about 15 minutes just to see how it worked under a few of my old form-fitting dresses), and it almost entirely eliminated my pesky stomach bulge and I had a waist again for the first time in years! Those dresses I tried on with this actually FIT and I did not recognize myself - between that and the longline bra, the shape I had was stunning. I looked at least 2 sizes smaller and so well-defined! Can't wait to wear it for a night out on the town. My waist was 39 and my hips were 46 when I ordered this in 3X, and it fit fine. Nice shaper. My waist and hip measurements are 29" and 39.5" so I was really debating between sizes, and wound up going with the Medium and the garment fits well. It doesn't take in my waist that much, but it does slim the area between my high waist and my hip bone, which is what I was looking for. It is a bit itchy, and if I don't pull it up all the way there is a little bulge at the top of the waist. I wish the garter attachment straps were removable, they really dig into my legs after a while. Overall, it's nice looking and effective, but it's not comfortable enough for me to wear everyday. This item was a bit uncomfortable in the thigh area due to the garter hooks. I removed the hooks but the little piece (don't know what it's called) of cloth still bothers my skin. I guess I'm just too sensitive.

Whoa-boy! Getting this thing on was both comical and an exhilarating rush! I broke out in a fit of giggles as a wiggled and squirmed to get it on. Someone commented that folding the top part down helped -- and it does. By doing so it's more like pulling on a pair of panties (or bicycle shorts), than trying to pull on a sausage casing. I'm of average size (38/30/38) with a bit of a hereditary pooch (thanks, mama). This girdle really slims the abdomen nicely. I felt very "supported", (as in posture) while wearing it. Legs stayed in place very well. One negative - it's not considered "high wasted" so it doesn't come as far up under my bust as I'd like, thus, there was a little "back fat". I'm going to try to sew in a thick piece of elastic or Lycra across the back to alleviate the "bulge". Opening in the crotch is a plus. (I can't imagine taking this thing off, and putting it back on again(!) every time I have to pee.) Garters are removable, which you'll definitely want to do if you're not wearing stockings. The ones in the back BITE. I purchased this one along with the 6109 (brief style) for comparison. The leg holes on the other were terribly uncomfortable. I plan to wear this under my wedding dress. I ordered this to wear under my wedding dress. I'm tall with a slender build, if I eat even a granola bar it shows so I needed something to hold in my tummy. My dress is a mermaid style and I want to look good in it but still be able to eat my wedding cake. I got this in the mail today and am very pleased! It is really hard to get on, but once its on, its really comfortable and does the job of keeping my stomache flat as well as toning my legs and lifting my butt, an added plus! My one complaint with the garment is that the garters are kind of itchy, but otherwise the product is fantastic and the service was great, I got this 3 weeks before I was expecting it :) If you're on the fence about buying this, well...buy it! The size is perfect and it doesn't ride up on the legs or roll down at the tummy. I ordered the size using the sizing chart. The legs of the girdle do not cut into the thigh. I'm definitely plus size and it is rare to find firm support that isn't brutal. Purchased this girdle in an XL after finding the Rago 6206 2XL too big in the waist. I'm "blessed" with wide hips (46") but disproportionately small waist (31"). The "lighter" fabric of the 6207 is none-the-less very firm! Yet after the struggle of getting the garment on it fit like a glove!! I forgot I had it on it was sooo comfortable...and no leg band riding up my thigh! I love, love love this product! There is no doubt that I'm FATastic but I love who I am! I am a bridesmaid in a wedding in October while the dresses nice there is gathering in the fabric. I tried on the dress and it zipped and wasn't tight but the gathering around the tummy area was looking pretty stretched. I found this item online and read the reviews and was impressed !! This item has a much better fit as a panty girdle for a tall person opposed to Rago 6206. The width of the lace/silicone on the leg opening is wider preventing roll and the all in one aspect of the high waist plus the boning prevents roll as well. Note, do not put on body lotion or oil on your body where the item will touch. It will cause the item to roll and bunch. Also, wash in cold water and dry flat. Jennifer from New York, NY

Baby's first girdle! A bear to get on over my sizable derriere, I should have gotten one with clips. No real problem with the garment, other than that it renders my asset formless. Good golly Miss Molly! Thought I'd never get this thing on!! After dancing, jumping and some mild swearing I got up. Tip - fold the top down to the bottom of the boning and ease it up from there, then fold the top up and "skoosh" it the rest of the way. The job it did on my mother of four body? Actually, pretty good! Not perfect; I still have a small bit of tummy bulge when I sit, and it didn't make a noticeable difference in my waist measurement, but it's holding in everything it should, has eliminated any "muffin top" and smooths things out nicely. Other "firm control" shapers I've tried haven't really done that to my satisfaction. It's also, surprisingly, rather pretty for a "girdle". Oh, and did I mention that it's uncommonly comfortable? You really don't feel the boning at all, and I've been sitting in it for about a half hour. Not once has the top flipped down like so many other high waisted shapers do. I'm 5'4" and the top sits right under my bra and the back scoops down (not sure you can really see that it does this in the pictures) to just a hair over where a brief would sit. This girdle will not give you the sort of figure that you see in the old time pictures of the 50's (those were monster girdles), but it is truly one of the only girdles out there today that actually does what it's supposed to do and does it with comfort. I have had over ten spinal surgeries, from the lumbar to cervical. Unfortunately the back braces and or supports are both bulky and cumbersome. And never look good under clothing. I have tried everything and this item surpasses all. It provides extra firm support with exceptional range of movement, you forget you have it on. And it relieves pain associated with prolonged standing and sitting. Now for the big OMG I'm male and retired from the Marine Corps. This item serves no other purpose than pain relief I've been shot, blown up by mortar attacks so I really do not share any embarrassment. Retro city adorable- like the lace ones MUCH better than the same design without the lace pattern in the fabric- MUCH cuter. AMAZING waist control for something without a zipper or hooks- I was surprised! Some of these type garments flatten your derriere- not this one. Just what you need under a Cheongsam. You will look cute if caught wearing these rather than embarrassed. I love Rago. I'd like to see these a couple bucks cheaper, but they are great. Beware with Rago- they are cut for a person of average height and are not adaptable if you are very short or very tall. AS long as you are aware of this- highly recommended! Katherine R

I’ve had the 6207 in black for a while now. It is a nice girdle that fits my needs on certain occasions. One being for special events like weddings and the like when I want a little bit more than the moderate control undergarments that I usually wear to work, etc. But, I also have chronic lower back pain that is sometimes exacerbated during my activities as a fitness instructor (yoga). So, sometimes I need to wear a girdle like the 6207 for a few days to help support my aching back. This one works great for that purpose. Yes, it can be a little chore putting it on, but I’ve found that using some powder helps it slide up. I also frequently wear it over pantyhose, which helps the process as well. And finally, having a husband to help me pull it on (when he is available) is a time saver too. One final point regarding the garter attachments: I like them and actually use them for stockings once in a while in the summer months when it is too warm to wear pantyhose underneath the girdle. All in all, the Rago 6207 is a great product. It does what it was designed to do for me, at least. Helen from WA

Your Rago girdles are poorly uncomfortable I wear a 2X in pants. I bought 3 of your girdles thinking they should fit because I used your "size" chart but when I received the product I found they were cut smaller then my 48" hips. I wont be ordering anymore girdles from you. I am very dissatisfied, as I returned two of the girdles. I'm trying to live with my 3rd choice.

This does have a slimming and smoothing effect. Pretty comfortable once it's on; difficult to get on, but I don't think you can make one of these that works without that drawback. Possibly just as big an advantage as the slimming effect is that it encourages you to stand up straight--this will make your body look better as well. I bought this as much to keep my thighs from rubbing together and chafing while wearing summer dresses/skirts with no tights as for the slimming effect; it works well for that. The little plastic parts on the garter straps are removable, and I recommend removing them if you want this garment to be comfortable. Laura from Maine/USA

I am 5'4, 168 lb., short waisted. Recently had my 5th baby and my tummy is prominent. Have tried many other similar garments. This model is very pretty in beige. I ordered a 2x because I was between waist measurements -- it fit perfect - maybe a hair large but comfy and no bulge at the top. Boning keeps it from rolling. I like to dress in vintage clothing, which was designed for women wearing girdles. I read an article about how the actresses and female extras on Mad Men all wore Rago girdles and I decided to try them. Go up a size. The girdle makes you appear smooth and flawless. Wash by hand or in cold cycle in machine and hang dry or else the silicone around the leg openings will wear more quickly. I recently have gained weight and my clothes do not fit! My wife told me that a girdle could make all the difference in the world and no one would ever detect it. She purchased a RAGO 6207 panty girdle for me - it has a high waist, long legs and a front panel. Last night we went to a social event - as we dressed my wife set my girdle out and asked me to wear it. The girdle slips on very easily, in fact that once it is on one can forget it. I like the convenience of the split crotch. The girdle smooths my midriff bulge, provides comfort with firm support. My tummy just does not protude with it on. It is not detectable and I just do not have that "girdled look". With my girdle on I am confident, it improves my self-esteem and it is a joy to wear. Wearing a girdle is a most wonderful experience. I was warned by other customers that it ran small and to be sure to measure and buy accordingly. Well, I am very tall, and my hips measure 45 inches, so I bought the XXL, but it's too loose. Very comfortable to be sure, because it doesn't hold anything in. It's like wearing comfy soft shorts. Slips on so easy. Next time I will buy what I usually buy -- just XL. If I'm paying for maximum control, that's what I want. I think the quality of the garment is excellent, that's why I give it 5 stars. Just don't believe the sizing info if you are tall. When I first got this shaper i was impressed at how well it held my flappy bulginess in (I've always been overweight but I am rather flappy after having a baby 6 months ago). I was looking for something to wear everyday and this proved comfortable enough to do that. I loved the smoothing of everything from my back down to my thighs. However, after wearing it a few times the legs began to roll up - most of the time it is not noticeable under my clothes - but they will roll right up to my creases given time. Also I am tall 5'10" or 5'11" and the back doesn't want to stay up all that well. If I keep it pulled up and fix it after I've been moving around a bit it seems to be ok. That said, I have plenty of "back fat" to challenge even the best garment so maybe that's the problem. The front if the garment is a bit higher than the back, actually rises in a curved fashion, I widh the back did the same. All in all I like the garment enough to keep wearing it often enough but not everyday because of how often I have to adjust it. Next time I would try the brief style so maybe the I'd only have to worry about keeping the back up on it. I have to reiterate, though, when it's in place the smoothing effect is nearly miraculous! It's worth a try!

This shaper is perfect under the bustier I got. It REALLY holds everything in place and smooths the lines of my body out. The only minus is that it is made of a lacy material, the texture of which is slightly visible through the satin dress I'm wearing it under. I had heard that this was an extra firm girdle & it is. It holds my waist in nicely & helps shape my hips well too. I was concerned though that it may be too firm to wear to work where I have to move about quite a bit but I wore it all day yesterday from the time I got dressed in the morning until I got home late evening & I got ready for bed with no uncomfortable binding or constrictions. I'm thinking of buying the shorter version of the Lacette high waist to go under some of my shorter skirts & dresses. I'm wearing a shorter skirt today & otherwise would choose this one again. This is a perfect back support garment. The fit is perfect. I would have loved it with a crotch that you can use without having to pull the entire thing down when you need to use the bathroom, hence the 4 stars.
