There are so many types of activewear pants and bottoms on the market that you can find exactly what you need for any activity. The choices range from compression tights and leggings that can also be used for layering to yoga pants, velour lounging pants, sweat pants and fleece. Aside from your fashion preference, the most important consideration is function.

For gym workouts and other high-energy activity, look for pants that hug the body without constraining mobility, preferably with high-performance stretch and moisture management. For yoga and other low-impact activities, some women prefer activewear pants or capris that are fitted through the torso and thighs and then flow to a straight-leg hem. Fabric makes a difference too, with lightweight high-tech fabrics great for controlling temperature and moisture.
