Marie Jo are great bras but as compared to the Avero Halter Bra, the Plunge is just ok. The Plunge only has 1 hook compared to 3 which I think makes a difference in comfort and feel. AD from Washington, DC

This bra lasts and lasts and lasts. It's truly worth wearing for a year, and I can't abide a bra if the elastic starts giving. Simultaneously, it seems to mold to me after I wear it a few times. Generally, bra's with this quality wear out quickly. It's gorgeous in detailing, but disappears under clothes. The only way it can show is under semi-sheer patterns due to the waffle pattern. Still, since it's so beautiful, it's worth allowing your straps to just show when wearing a tank top. All of these qualities may be why this is haute lingerie. It's worth the money since it's your everyday pick of a bra. The cup is slightly lower than the Tom style by this maker. I've had the Avero in several sizes as I've changed, the 32D origionally. I went up a cup size. I've had a 34D and several 32E's. I had the 34D altered in the back to fit. When you hit the E the cup gets a bit higher on the top. This accommodated a fuller top nicely, but I fit more of a demi cup, so I like the 34D taken in better. This is just a note that there is an accommodation for each cup size. It's a beautiful bra and I just love looking at it, but not very supportive at all!! The top cut across the front funny and the padding looks weird.

Mary Jo Response: The cup is too small if it is cutting across the top, the Tom 012-0826 in 34F would be better, it does not cut across top and is more heart shaped. Kerry from Canada

The fit of this bra is fantastic - super comfortable, runs true to size. Beautifully made, and great looking. But, really not convertible.

HerRoom Response: You are right. The Marie Jo style 010-0416 is the one with convertible straps. Jill from Los Angeles, CA

It was not a great fit. The bra cut off my breasts a bit across the top. Courtney from Chicago/Illinois/USA

This bra is very comfortable and a good fit. I thought the daisy details on the straps would irritate, but I can't tell it is there. The loops and hooks for converting the bra are very secure. I'm giving this bra only four stars because the straps are not long enough to wear in the criss-cross pattern even when fully extended. I don't think this would be a problem for most people, but I'm 5'10" and a 32A. Susan from Sierra Vista, AZ
