Really solid, stable, fits well, pretty. I bought the lower up size for my size range. Seams sit on top of my shoulders are sharp and really hurt. I don't see other reviews with this complaint but it's typical for me, even with the correct band size.

HerRoom Response: You are correct that you issue with the strap is most unusual. Anne from Dover

Love the fit. I wouldn't use this for a high impact sport but it works for lower to medium impact. The straps don't dig in and the cups keep the girls separated. Ordered another. Jtap from Colorado

Very comfortable, but the cups were too large. I wear a 42DD and followed the size chart to order a 42E. I was surprised how the cups were too big for me considering other sports bras I've tried in a 42DD were still too small. I exchanged this for a 42D because, aside from the cup size, the fabric was comfortable and the bra fit well. Cassidy from Los Angeles, CA

I love these bras. They offer good support and comfort. However, on my last order there has been a change to the side panel fabric. The side panel fabric is thinner then the previous fabric (still the same style) and it seems to roll a little. I prefer the previous fabric, it was sturdier. I still like that bra, I just wish it was the same. Gail from Northford, CT, USA

Awful fit. I haven't seen a bra this pointy since the last Jane Russel movie! I can't wear it. Also it has zero give. Looks ridiculous.

As someone with LARGE breasts, I knew I needed to order a sports bra online as no store would carry my size. I needed a bra that would eliminate impact and reduce bounce. I think it's a little too big at the top to be effective and I'm still bouncing all over the place. That being said, it's comfortable and if I'm not jogging or running, I think it'll do a decent job of supporting me during regular workouts. Amanda from Baltimore MD

I've been loosing weight by working out a lot and so my bra sizes are changing. I live basically in the middle of nowhere, so going to a store to try on bras requires l5+ hour drives. Bouncing boobs distract greatly from my workouts, and I've always needed as much support as possible. This bra fits amazing well and stops nearly all of the bounce. If I loose more weight and go down to a C cup, I'll certainly replace this one. Midge from Crested Butte,/CO/USA

This bra's cup size runs small. I am a DD and ordered an E. I would need a F so that I didn't spill over under the arms. It is a good everyday bra, but I don't think it would handle aerobics or running which is what I ordered it for. It is well made, with good stitching, adjustable non-stretchy straps. The underwire is weird on this. The underwire comes to high and a weird fit. Also a little small in the cup size.

Lunaire Response: Thanks so much for your feedback on 11111. We currently use Coolmax fabric which wicks away moisture and keeps you feeling nice and cool. As for the coverage this is a full coverage garment which covers the entire bust and eliminates bounce. Sun from WA

This sports bra was perfect. I ordered my usual bra size, and it fit perfectly. I like that it uses both compression and encapsulation to control bounce, and the underwire is very comfortable. I haven't worked out in it yet, but have tested it in my home, and the bounce seems minimal. I love how quickly it arrived, too. Ashley from Chicago, Illinois, United States

Have always ordered this size in other Brands, but found this bra larger than normal. The quality and construction are great but the cups are 'pointy'.

Lunaire Response: Sizes do vary by manufacturer but once you find your needed size within our line you can stay consistent through out the line on most styles. The pointy fit of the garment does come with the incorrect sizing issue. We recommend visiting HerRoom's Bra Fitting Page for tips on finding your perfect size and fit. While not quite as supportive as I hoped, this is a very comfortable sports bra. I wore it to a high impact kickboxing class and it held up well enough to prevent any painful bouncing, but I did notice a bit more jiggle in the mirror than I am usually comfortable with. The design is great for athletic activities that might sometimes cause the breasts to push up over the cups, I don't have to worry about the double bubble or uni-boob with this bra. Overall, its great for medium to somewhat high impact activity, especially for its price. Becca

Fabric was wonderful. One of the seams was not sewn correctly (it had "caught" some of the fabric and caused a pucker - I was able to unsew it). It does seem a little tighter than I'm used to and was just a little surprised as I used your bra sizing method. All in all, it is a nice bra.

I love this sports bra. Tho I orignially purchased it in my bra size, 32F but it was way too tight and easily exchanged it for the 34F. It fits amazingly. I do Zumba so I needed something to hold me in and boy does this bra do it. I've seen in other reviews about the pointy bra...but honestly, I wear a tight fitting tank top and you don't notice it at all. Trust me I looked just to make sure. The bra was very nice, but it did not fit me and I am usually true to size 34D. Cups were too big, unlined, and as other said, they were very pointy. But most of all - just too big and without the support for athletics. For someone else, it may have worked.

Lunaire Response: Thanks for your feedback. Size does vary slightly from brand to brand so it's important to know your correct size. Take a look at Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit for more information on fit. Once the correct size is established that eliminates all the issues stated above. Thanks again for the feedback. Mar

I really do love this bra. For years, I've bought cheap-o bras that did nothing to keep my breasts from bouncing so much that they hurt. This bra keeps my dignity much more intact. It's comfortable, I wear it even when I'm not running. It's not as anti-bounce as I had hoped, and it makes your breasts a bit pointy, but that goes away after a couple wears. My boobs bounce somewhat, so I wear one of my other cheap sports bras over it. But honestly, it was worth the buy. It actually SEPERATES and molds to my breast shape. I'm glad I read the comments and went with the 32E or 32DD as it says on the tag. I normally wear larger, but it would have been too big in this style/brand as this size fit perfectly. The bra provides great support in a variety of gym classes, running, etc. The bra does give a little pointed shape, but I hear it will diminish as I wash and wear the garment. I'm not used to my boobs appearing so large at the gym as I normally wear a compression bra, but this gives better support...I'm probably the only one noticing the size difference. The Lunaire Coolmax Underwire Sports Bra: BRILLIANT The absolute BEST fitting bra for my hour long workouts AND also works well as a t-shirt bra or for wear under sweaters. The bra gives you a good, smooth, natural look. And has great support! Although I'm in my 60's, I do a workout that many 20 year old's cannot do. I'm very fit and take a lot of care in my appearance. I used to hate trying to find a sports bra that fit and would support my breasts during my killer workouts. Most sports bras would mold my breasts into bizarre shapes: everything from pointy cones to bulging cantaloupes. So I layered: sports bra then a workout top with a built in shelf bra to tame the sports bra shape. (I wear 34 DD Elle MacPhearson lace bras most of the time and love the fit, support, etc.). Most sports bras simply do not work for me. I have a small rib cage and also need a lot of support. I have ordered and tried a LOT of sports bras over the past 3-4 years. None of them have been satisfactory until this one. I would wear them once or twice then put them in the pile for Goodwill - it's not the fault of HerRoom. I just kept looking & trying every sports bra I could find for 32 or 34 DD. Finally I've found a sports bra that works for me. The Lunaire Coolmax Underwire Sports Bra. This bra is a keeper and I'm ordering more before the manufacturer screws them up like all the rest. CCG from Dallas, TX

Definitely not for me! Fabric is great! Feels good, but there is something with cups shape. I can not pinpoint it exactly. It makes my breasts look bigger than they are (comments from strangers) and bouncy (did not have it with other bras) Overall, great fabric but not great cup shape. Not very supportive for heavy-breasted women. Upper part of the front of the bra is stretchy, so it feels comfortable, but it sags. Straps are thin and hurt after a while. It would probably be fine if I were smaller, but it just doesn't work for me as I am.

Lunaire Response: Your description given does not match our style 11111. The style has large cushioned straps/ non stretch top cups for a rigid and supportive fit. Thanks and we appreciate your feedback. Melissa from Arlington, VA, USA

This bra is great. I work with children all day and involved in running jumping and physical types of play. I'm also involved in a group dance group that is a lot like clogging. Being so busty is painful when "the girls" aren't strapped in with good support. This bra is very comfortable and doesn't dig into you. There is great support so when I bend over I don't fall out of my shirt, but at the same time I not have flattened appearance. This bra cost less than my Freya sports bra that I bought last year at a department store paying 70 dollars, and my Lunaire I feel supports better. Maria from Raleigh, North Carolina

I run about 3 miles a day (7 days a week), so I need a good running bra. The first time I tried this bra, I knew I would buy more! (I just ordered 3, and will order more after I receive my $20.00 gift certificate.) This bra fits me better than any other sports bra I have tried, and is very comfortable. I especially like the fact that the straps are adjustable, but do not slip. There is no bounce when I run, and the fabric breathes. I hate shopping for bras, but this website makes it easy! The black bra was purchased less than a month ago for my daughter who is an athlete and works out 3 times day. I since ordered 2 more, but the underwire on the black one has already come out on one side. She threw the underwire away and has been wearing it without the underwire to get our money's worth. Before this happened I ordered a nude and white, I hope they do not fall apart so soon.

I bought this bra with the underwire only because the description said the underwire wouldn't dig. I tried this sports bra out once and the underwire began digging into my underarms and it was very uncomfortable. I always fasten my bras to the very last row, so maybe that's the problem, so I'll try it a different way and see if that makes a difference. It didn't eliminate much bounce for me when doing high impact exercises. Not too happy about this bra but will see how it goes. Ebony from Phoenix, AZ

This is a great bra. I wore it to a cardio class where the teacher had the bright idea of jumping rope (which I have not done since there were no ladies to jump with me). The ladies stayed put: and what's more, the bra looks good too! I normally wear a 32DDD, but the DD is fine and doesn't give me arm boobies because it's such a solid cut. I love this bra! I was trying a 36DD because my 34DD was feeling a bit tight. But the 34DD I usually wear is a much better fit (especially since I have dropped 10 lbs). I horseback ride...a lot...and before I found this bra, the bounce was so bad that at the end of a 50 mile endurance ride, my pectoral muscles were actually sore and I would sometimes ride the last few miles alternatively holding one breast at a time to prevent the pain of the bounce. I even tried wearing two bras and that helped immensely but was uncomfortable and very hot in summer. Enter the Lunaire. It is the only bra I wear, although I try others every now and then, always returning to the Lunaire. Pat from Ashland, Or USA

The support is amazing, the fit is true and the bra is so comfortable, I can wear it all day! I love that it doesn't give the 'uniboob' look either! Love this bra. The only "no bounce" bra I have found to be almost no bounce. I have worn this bra exclusively for the past two years . I horseback ride (endurance) and before finding this bra, I had to wear TWO bras, one over the other to be able to stay in the saddle all day, pain free. The band is a bit tight but it is worth the snug feeling to be bounce free. If I could change one thing, it would be a better padded strap. I still get bruised or broken skin on my shoulder if I don't use the gel pads that I purchase separately. In the past, I wore a 34D but this time I tried DD and the difference in comfort is amazing. I finally found a comfortable bra that fits! I like this bra so much I have ordered more, and wear them all the time, not just for sports. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the tag tends to make me itch a little. (I wish bras would go tagless like some shirts are now.) It is also a tight fit, so some might need to go up a band size. (I tried a 38DDD, because I thought 36DDD was too tight, but the 38DDD was too big.) Even so, it's far more comfortable than any other bra I've ever had on. Heidi from Phoenix, AZ

Yes, the Madonna torpedo look is true. I'm a 38C and ordered a 36C based on other reviews that said this ran a bit big. I couldn't order a smaller cup size and quite frankly I'm glad as this fits fine. I have to have the straps as tight as they can be pulled, so perhaps this isn't the right bra for me but I'm keeping it anyway. The bounce seems a bit more pronounced than in the video but it will work fine. T from Delaware

I am naturally a large bust, and small rib cage so buying any kind of bra is an absolute nightmare because it is usually far too big in the rib cage, and too small in the cup. This bra is just the reverse. I got a 32DDD because I usually wear a 32E in Freyas bra line, and it is consistent. I used the chart that compares bra sizes per manufacturer, and it suggested that I get the 32DDD. Around, it is nice and tight, but in the cup, I could fit my cell phone, wallet, and some snacks for the amount of room left over! The back of the bra is a soft jersey-like material that worries me about durability. The straps seem heavy duty enough, and overall sewing looks very strong and durable. The cup gives a madonna, 1940s look though, so be prepared for that. Just not the right bra or size for me.

HerRoom Response: Thank you for this feedback. You converted the size correctly. The only thing we can think of is that perhaps you are not used to wearing such a full coverage bra (which this one is). This is a very durable bra, as the other reviews point out. I'd suggest you go down a cup size and see if you get a better fit. Allyson from Roseville, CA

I was so excited when I went to the gym wearing this bra! I had breast augmentation done in June and had not exercised since bc I could not find a sports bra in my size. Lets face it 32DDD is not very common. Even though it makes my breast look a bit cone shaped, I love it! There is almost no bounce and I am so glad to be back in the gym!!! When I first saw the bra, I thought it looked odd because the cups looked a little cone shaped. However, it fit marvelous and looked good when I put it on! None of the uniboob stuff that goes on in other sports bras. It was my first underwire sports bra, and I read some of the reviews on the site about how the underwire could cut into your underarms if you're petite, and I had no problems with it (I'm 5'1"). It was also quite comfortable when I took it to the gym, and virtually no bounce on the treadmill! I'm very pleased with this bra, and will probably buy a couple more of it in the future! Greatest running brassiere in the history of brassieres! I would've never even taken up running if it weren't for this bra. Before I had to wear those stretchy things that made a uni-boob that looked like a football...now my girls are lifted and separated and only the "boobs akimbo" affect is minimal. After narrowing down a few options (God Bless the Bounce Test Video), I chose this one for its price. It's an excellent bra, and the price is definitely right! I didn't give it five stars because the stitching inside the cups is kind of irritating (at the moment it's just annoying; if it becomes truly painful I might sew a layer of softer material over the stitching lines) and the cups are much pointier than my boobs. I wear a more attractive pullover sports bra over the Lunaire, which mashes the points down, so it's not a big deal, but it doesn't create the most attractive silhouette on its own. It does a great job of reining in "the girls" and I can run for the first time since I was a teenager without pain and embarrassment, yet I still look like a girl with two boobs instead of one ugly, bouncing lump across my chest. I will be ordering more of this one! Shanelle from Indianapolis, IN, USA

This is a GREAT bra! I love the coolmax technology and I love the underwire. This bra really supports me and there isn't much bounce. I love how it separates me, that alone keeps me cooler. My only COMPLAINT is that the straps are thin at the top of the shoulders, which makes running in this bra painful. Because of the weight from my chest I can't use it for running or other really active sports, as my shoulders will pay for it during the activity and at the end of the day. If they had wider and more padded straps this bra would be perfect! Lunaire please make one with padded and wider straps! You could have two different versions of the same bra. One with the thinner staps and one with wider. EG1983 from Irvine, CA

Best sports bra I have ever owned! Great support and comfortable. Love the idea of working out and not having my "girls" hit me in the face and slip out of the bra. Have they fixed the underwire problem that bumped them out of the 2008 Undies Awards? I wore this style for years, and then had problems with the underires poking through on first or second wearing. I tried several times, hoping it was a bad lot, but eventually gave up on this one. I'm trying a couple of other styles of athletic bras that I have found on HerRoom, but if I could be sure the underwire problem was solved, I'd go back. They are affordable, comfortable, and supportive.

HerRoom Response: Lunaire claims this problem was solved a while back. As you can see from the reviews, women are no longer complaining about this problem. Danni S. from Pennsylvania, USA

Love it! It arrived promptly. It fits great, really comfortable, and has more support and bounce-resistance than any other fitness bra I've tried. I ordered 3 bras from this site and this is the one that fit the worst. It is definitely bigger than I need it to be but I needed it badly enough that I'm wearing it anyway. I cannot find a sports bra in any store to fit and that doesn't make my breasts look like one large smooshed lump. I do like that this keeps them separated and it is comfortable and if it shows under a workout shirt it just looks like another top is on me. I would definitely order a smaller size though in this item next time. I am pleased with my purchases from this site though and have passed along the website to others looking for bras in larger sizes. Michelle from Chicago, Il

I needed to retire my last running bra, and this was an excellent replacement. It was very comfortable for a sports bra, and is supportive during very active kick-boxing and running. I really like this bra! If your looking for a good running bra I would get this bra. Yes it does push your boobs up hi but that's to keep the bounce factor down. The band around is tight and I'm actually a 30 around so if you're on the big end of your bra size I would go one size up. As is I'm wearing it on the last hooks. When I first got it I thought the cups were too big but then I pulled up the straps and i thought they might be too small but, they actually fit just fine. The only reason this bra didn't score higher is because like other bras on here the straps are too long and on wearing this bra on the last row of hooks I can feel the hooks against my back and it itches (the fabric that its supposed to protect from that isn't long enough). With that said this is a lot cheaper than a lot of other bras and seems to score higher than some of the pricier bras and I can see why. So, with the money I've saved I figure I can just take it to in to get altered if i need to. Paula from Oakland, Ca.

What a disappointment. I own eight (yes, eight) Lunaire 36DD bras, and love every one of them. I was excited to find that Lunaire made a sports bra, and that HerRoom carried them, so I ordered with high hopes. What a letdown (no pun intended ;-)! The cups were too big, the band was too loose, the padded part of the strap ended right on the top of my shoulder blade, the underwire was twisted and uncomfortable, and there was NO support to this bra at all. Additionally, I dislike the unfinished, rough seams on the inside of the bra cup... very irritating. Lunaire should add a lining over these seams, esp in a sports bra. If zero stars was an option, I'd give it. Elizabeth from Virginia Beach VA

This bra does have a slight conical shape, but it isn't that bad or noticable. The bra is comfortable, and I've had no shaffing. I got this bra because I do some jogging, and it does have a small amount of bounce, but it is much less bounce than other bras I've tried. I gave it 4 stars because of the small amount of bounce. I would order this bra again, but I may try some of the more expensive ones first to see if they are worth the extra $$. brawearer from WV, USA

I love this sports bra, and have been buying it for 10 years consistently. I've tried other sports bras, but this is still the best, by far. The underwire shapes the breasts really nice, without that uniboob look that often happens with other sports bras with no underwire. The support is really phenomenal and I can run, workout do any activity and feel very supported. The only thing that sometimes happens with these bras is that the underwire will poke out after a few months - I will then usually take it to a seamstress and for a few dollars they can sew it up even better than before. This is a great, non-compression bra. I wish it did "smash 'em" a little though. I wore it on a 10 mile run and had not hot spots or chafing. Minimal bounce. But, at this size, after 2 kids, I think the only thing that will prevent any bounce is concrete! 1 Complaint, the straps. Look at the picture. Nice wide, cushioned straps in front, then right where it sits on your shoulders it becomes "standard" bra straps. Marks remained for a while after I removed the bra. I wish they would push this seam back. roamingJM from APO, AP

This bra seemed to be a perfect fit when I first tried it on. It was very comfortable and not cumbersome, but supportive too. Unfortunately, when I put it on again to actually wear it, I found that the underwire in the center panel sticks out from my chest despite lots of room in the cup, and that the band size is probably too small, since it rides up in the back. I probably could have used a smaller size (even though I measured according to the Her Room measurements), but I have already removed the tags. So, I'm stuck with a too big bra.

HerRoom Response: When your back rides up, this means your band size is too large. You should go down. Try a 40F. Also, it could be that your underwires are bent. You can straighten them. Erin from Arlington, TN

I am looking for a no bounce sports bra to run in. I would not market this bra as a "high-impact" sports bra for D cup sizes. There was very little movement suppression offered from this bra. Also bothersome was the conical shape of the cups. Very 1950's/ Mad Men. Liana from San Diego, CA

I normally wear a 44 E/F depending on the size but based on recommendations here got the smaller size. I'm glad I did. The bra itself is supremely comfortable, and fits under tanks very well. It is cut a bit high in front and sometimes peeks out, but it's not bad. My only wish is that it were cut 1/2" lower in front. There is NO slippage on the straps at all, which can be a complaint of mine. Susan from Eagan, MN, USA

This is a great bra for running. I read tons of the reviews before buying, watched lots of the bounce videos and checked out many other available bras. I'm sometimes a 36D, but like a tighter fit for running and the 34DD was right on for me. I do wear a Champion sport bra top over my running bras and will continue to do so because I really hate any movement in my breasts while on a run. The adjustable straps are a great feature and Lunaire seems to have fixed the wire problem that many mentioned because there was no problem whatsoever. I feel like I got a fantastic sports bra at a reasonable price and I'm going to order several more. Thanks to Her Room and everyone who reviews the products. It has been a great sports bra! It can even handle the treadmill, which I usually avoid in favor of elliptical. The front seams haven't been a problem, as I usually just wear old T-shirts to the gym. I guess it could be a problem with a sheer shirt though. I had to order a cup size down. When I got the 34DD, the cups puckered a little. (I would be a 35D1/2 if bras came that size). It really does keep the chest cool and dry too, and avoids getting stinky. I also like the adjustable straps, which are not on a lot of sports bras. My one complaint is that the bottom piece of elastic can fold under sometimes. It's not visible or uncomfortable; I'm just a perfectionist I guess. Jessica from Santa Monica, CA

The fit was good, but when I finished my first run wearing it the underwire had poked through one of the seams, and then came out completely when I washed it.

HerRoom Response: When this happens, it's a sign that your band was too large and was moving on you while you ran. You should go down a band size and up a cup size to maintain the same cup volume. Niki from Springfield, MO, USA

My sister recommended this bra as we both have a hard time finding lingerie to fit properly, with large breasts and small ribs. Very comfortable and supportive. Still some jiggling when I run, but then I've never found a bra in my size that doesn't. Not the most supportive I've ever tried, but this is much better than most, great for the price, and the most comfortable of three bras I tried this time. It does show bumps through tanks and t-shirts, looks like my nipples are standing when they aren't, but a cami under helps. A great every day bra with coolmax fabric which is nice on hot days. This bra fits very large in the cups, which my sister warned me of ahead of time. I usually wear a 34H (which is very difficult to find.) At her suggestion, I ordered this in a 34DDD and the cups are plenty roomy on me. I would recommend ordering at least one cup size smaller then your usual. Terra from Salem, OR

When Lunaire redesigned the underwire channel, the bra went from one of the most comfortable sports bras to the most uncomfortable one. This is because they increased the length of the channel by an inch and used a flat channel with fabric that gives instead of a padded tubular channel. Now the underwire pokes into the underarm all day. Lunaire denies they have redesigned the underwire channel.

HerRoom Response: Lunaire has told us they have not changed the channel. Greta from Nevada City, CA

The wire popped out of this bra on both sides after just a few wearings. this is a terrible sports bra- it is huge.

HerRoom Response: When underwires pop out so quickly, this is usually a sign that the band is too large. When the band is too large, it moves around on your body. This movement wears down the fabric covering the underwires and eventually they pop through. TM from Seattle, WA, USA

Sizing: band is accurate, cups also seem about right. The main problem for me is that I am a 40 G (or F, depending on US or UK measure), so a 42DDD is equivalent in cup size to the 40 G, but it is too large in the band. I was hoping the band would be a bit small so I could get a less expensive sport bra than some of the others, but that's not the case.
Support: I ordered 3 sport bras: Luniare, Bendon, and Panache. Wearing each for about an hour or so, they seem about the same. Any bra in a larger cup size is going to have some bounce; this one does have some but all in all, is does well. If I had a smaller band size, I imagine I'd have even less (but then the cups wouldn't fit).
Fit: The straps can be adjusted to be really long; I normally have to adjust all the way, but when I did that with this one, the band was much too low and hurt. After moving the straps several inches tighter, it was much better. The very bottom of the band is a bit scratchy and I can still tell I'm wearing it an hour after putting it on. Not sure if that will go away with washing. As others have said, the cups are more the old Playtex style in terms of shaping: up and out. In a heavy cotton t-shirt I can see the lines. If I was working out, I might not care as long as I was supported, but it would influence my decision to wear it in any other circumstance. Annie from Chicago/IL/USA

So I read each and every review on this bra on the Her Room site. And after reading positive review after positive review, I must admit, I was still a bit skeptical. It didn't look like one of those "smash 'em" sports bras, and I needed MAXIMUM control. I had been wearing a 44DDD, but ordered a cup-size smaller after reading many of the reviews that suggested to do so. I get it in the mail. Try it on. Still not convinced, I did about 10 jumping jacks: "How am I not blacking my eye?! This thing doesn't look like it should be holding the ladies at all!!" Alas, it is, as everyone said, the best bra I have ever owned. I can't wear it with low-scoop or v-neck shirts, but I bought it for working out and am a true-believer. For plus-size, large chested women, especially if you are searching for a good sports bra, this is the freakin' ticket! I would definitely suggest measuring yourself; the DD is almost too big, and I am normally a full a DDD. Thanks Her Room for introducing me to a great product. I will most assuredly be back. This is a great bra. Very comfortable. I gave it a 4/5 because of the shape, but it is really not that bad. Band is true to size, the cup was big so I am exchanging it for a 32C. I ordered 7 bras, the DK was too thin and I did not like the straps, the champion was just not supportive for my size, the bendon was the most supportive but too rough for my very sensitive skin, the moving comfort was just too big all over. I liked the natori, however i wish it was a little more supportive, but it was so comfortable that i kept it anyway. taphath from charlotte, nc

Very comfortable and held everything in it's place. I do agree with others about the cone look, but you can't beat the support. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because of the seams that run across the cup. If you wear a tight fitting shirt or a light colored Dri Fit shirt you can see the seam and it looks like your headlights are on. So I just wear it with a dark colored shirt when going to the gym. A very nice sportsbra, but wasn't comfortable for more daily wear (for me). Still had too much fabric around my chest and back, too much of that "in-a-vise" feeling. If you're looking for a sportsbra, it was highly comfortable. If you're looking for a comfortable daily-wear bra that won't shake, it was stable but still felt much like a harness sportsbra. I love this bra! The more I wear it, the more I like it. I ordered a Bendon Sports Bra & Lily of France Sports Bra at the same time & like them better. After 2 weeks of wearing all of these bras to teach my 11 aerobics classes per week, the Lunaire is by far my favorite. It has a nice comfortable fit & a great price. I do agree that the cups are a little pointy (like old Playtex 18 hour bras) but I wear a decorative sports bra over the bra & it solves the issue without giving me uniboob. I love this bra. It gives me wonderful support and the straps don't fall off of my shoulders! However, I think that the company that manufactures the Lunaire sports bra should take a serious look at a new design for coating the pointed ends of the underwire. The puny plastic coating over the end cracks in much too short a time leaving the sharp end exposed and poking holes in the lining and in my arm! I have sever bras that are perfectly useable, except for the underwire that pokes through and digs into my underarm. However, notice that I still bought more, because I like them so well!

HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. We have forwarded your comment to Lunaire. Connie from Clarkston, WA

This is a nice sports bra. It's very comfortable & provides support for mid-level activities. I still find too much movement during my high level aerobics classes but really like it for all of my other classes. Yes, the cup shape reminds me of old Playtex bras that "lift & separate" but it's nice to not have a "uni-boob". I still wear a standard sports bra over the bra which removes a little of the bullet look & provides additional support. I will definitely order another one but will admit that I also ordered a Bendon sports bra which is more formidable to wear but provides better support for high impact workouts. But, this is one of the most "wearable" sports bras that I have ever owned & it washes well, too. Chris from Houston, TX

Thought I was going to love this bra, wore it for a couple of hours and there was no problem. Then, I decided to wear it to work and I couldn't wait to take it off when I got home. The wires on the side were somehow jabbing me, and the straps became uncomfortable as well. I also didn't feel like I had a whole lot of support, so will not order this style again. I had originally purchased a white one locally to work out in, but I discovered the beige (more like the color of Barbie flesh) ones at HerRoom and ordered three to wear as every day bras. The bra is unbelievably comfortable--no strap aerobics thoughout the day, no band adjustments after bending or reaching, and the bra doesn't show through my office attire. There's no painful bouncing when I run, so this makes a wonderful, multipurpose bra! J from ATX

This is a very good bra. If I could do it, I would run with my chest taped because any movement hurts me and makes my workouts uncomfortable. This bra saved me from that fate. It is sturdy but not overly binding and moves well with me while I move. I actually would have given it five stars except the shape of the cups is a little too pointy for my taste. I really love this item. I can run comfortably without a lot of movement. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the shape of the cup. It make them triangular and honestly reminds me of my elderly aunt lol It's not the most flattering shape but it does the job so I'm not too concerned. Also, I'm getting one for my daughter. I like how this bra lifts and separates - no uni-boob. I wish I could wear it under more regular clothes but the front comes up pretty high and some of my lower cut shirts show the bra. I'd also like to see this bra in a cris-cross back version. Libby from Naples, FL USA

I love this bra. I just ordered two more. It is the only bra that wears like a bra, but keeps my well endowed upper half protected. I am 5'0", so a 36ddd is very large. I just started running and this is the only bra that I would wear. I've tried nearly all large busted bras designed for high impact activities (Frog, Enell, Champion). Lorraine from Seattle, WA

This bra is VERY supportive and firm-feeling, quite nice for running. It unfortunately has a strange size issue -- but it could be me that doesn't fit their standard sizing. I wear a 32C running bra and 34C regular bra, but this one fits a little oddly. The underwires are smaller than my other 32C bras (I compared the underwire size/shape with my other running bras), meaning the breasts are sort of "squished" into the somewhat pointy cups. I must say, the cups themselves are a good shape, without that smushed/flattened look at all. However, this bra seems better suited for people who have (hard to explain!) more of a "narrow and pointy" bosom, as opposed to those who have more of a broad base, w/ a rounded breast shape. Still, I'm keeping it, it's not bad for short runs, and as stated before extremely supportive and allows hardly ANY bounce at all. The material isn't thick, but is able to help w/ "modesty" issues due to the curved seam running across each cup -- this really is noticeable under thin or med. weight running tops -- but I'm wearing this in the winter so it's not a problem. ellem from asia

This the ONLY bra I've ever found that is mostly cotton, cool, and VERY supportive. My floppy breasts (yes, it happens when you're over 55!) are held comfortably and securely with no uni-boob! I love this bra; this is the second time I've bought it and I hope they never discontinue it! Straps are secure with no digging, cups are the right shape, and it washes well. Margaret from Miami

Hooray! I can jump around without hurting myself! The straps NEVER slip off my narrow shoulders. I have two breasts, not one, while wearing this bra. I would give it 5 stars for support, but 3 stars for shape. The shape of the cups is a bit pointier than I am naturally, I have very round breasts. So it gets a rating of "really good" from me. This is a most comfortable bra. It supports extremely well without binding and the separation and lift give a beautiful line under my sweaters. I ride horses (sometimes for hours at a time). I am able to ride without the customary bounce with each step that caused my shoulders to suffer skin abrasion and sometimes broken skin (not to mention the appearance of my boobs bouncing in time with the horses steps). If I could change one thing, I would have the shoulder straps a bit wider or gel padded. Then the bra would be PERFECT! Pat from Ashland, Oregon USA

I have worn this bra doing high impact aerobics for several years and been very happy with the support and comfort of it. However, the underwire has been redesigned since my last purchase and it is no longer the comfortable bra I had before. It pokes under the arms and no longer lies flat against my chest wall. I will continue to order this bra only because no one else makes a sports bra in my size.

This bra doesn't run anywhere near true size band wise! Could not even get it close together. I measured the band and it is 23' wide! So, that was a big disappointment! Other than that, it seems well made and not stretchy at all, which would be good if only it fit. Can't return it cause I lost the receipt...Hope my review helps and thanks HerRoom for all the great work!

HerRoom Response: Thank you for your input. It's possible you are a 34 band size. The firmer fit of a sports bra makes knowing your exact band size critical. Ramona from Sacramento, CA

I ordered a cup size smaller based on other reviews and it fits perfectly. I ordered my normal band size and it is tight but that's what I want for sports and it will probably stretch with use. I'm so glad I decided to visit HerRoon this morning to report my underwires coming out. I bought this bra last spring and one underwire came out almost immediately. I just kept shoving it back but it was inconvenient and painful--no kidding. I worked out very little this past summer and when i put the bra back on last month, the other underwire came out too. I thought it might be too late to return it and was miffed. This was the first time I'd experienced this problem since I was a teen growing up in Europe in the late 60's and 70's where we could always count on underwires coming out of every bra. Since the coolmax was getting such great recommendations i was really surprised this happened. So glad to know this batch was a fluke and that I can return it. Other than that, it is a very comfortable bra to wear while working out. Martine from Salt Lake City, Utah

Nice bra, well constructed and does not feel like armor, like many other sports bras for larger busts. The only downside is that it seems to run small especially in the band size. I wish the manufacturer would have "test driven" this bra before bringing it to market. The underwire in this bra broke through the material on the 1st wearing and poked into my skin--not fun when you are working out at the gym!! However, if this problem could be corrected I would purchase this bra again as it has the most amazing fit and feel--the most supportive, comfortable exercise bra I have ever worn!! My friend bought this same bra and had the same problem with the underwire.

I like this bra very much, except (as also reported by others) on the very first wearing, the underwire came through the fabric channel and worked its way half way out up the right side. I stitched it up when I returned home, but I don't think this should have happened on the first wearing. It was very uncomfortable. This has not happened to the Cool Max I purchased months ago. So I wonder if there has been a change in quality control or manufacturing? Overall, I really like this bra and fit. I would have sent it back if I didn't need to have it for vacation. I really love this bra and I've bought a bunch of them in the past few years. I have to concur with previous reviewers...this bra is really supportive when I am exercising, but it is also so comfortable that I wear them every day! They aren't lacy or flowery nor do they show any cleavage, but they keep my girls where they should be. However, I have had SERIOUS problems with UNDERWIRES with these bras lately. My first bras were problem free-- I washed them and hung them to dry--I wore the heck out of them. Now, on my first wear even, a wire pokes out against my skin very painfully. This is the most comfortable bra I have ever used and I have been wearing them all the time. However, on two of them the wires poked through. Also, the first one fit me around comfortably; later ones seemed tighter around (band), even after several washings. I am now thinking of ordering a 44C to see if the longer band would help if it is returnable. My main concern, however, is whether anything is being done about the wires poking through. I see that other reviewers had the same problem. I sewed the one that poked through, but now another has done it too and I hate to think this is going to have to be done all the time. I have used the Lunaire 11111 for years as a sports bra and as a comfortable everyday bra. In order to replenish, I ordered two more in July 2007. My latest order, however, did not satisfy. Like, Liat Z's review, the wires poked out on the first wearing of one of the bras and the wires poked out on the second wearing of the other bra. Both times it was in everyday use - I did not even get to try them as a sports bra. I find myself wondering when reading Liat Z's review if there were cutbacks on quality, changes in the material of construction, or something that made this happen to a bra style that has satisfied for years?

I love this bra. Unfortunately, the wire came out. I wonder if anyone had this experience. Maybe I had it bound too tight with the built in bra tank I was using. I think I need to resew the seams. Otherwise, it provides really excellent support and I am sad that the wire came out.

HerRoom Response: When the casing over the underwire rubs constantly against something else (in this case your other bra), a hole can be created and the underwire will come out.

After reading the reviews from this site, I was very exited when I got this bra in the mail... Not so happy after I tried it on. The band fit wonderfully, the material used near the hooks in back should be used on more Lunaire bras, it feels very nice. My problem was the cups. They fit okay, but where the seam meets in the middle is VERY pointy. I had well supported torpedos.... THE SPORTS BRA SENT FROM HEAVEN ABOVE! I was literally having a "I WISH THESE TWIN MONSTERS COULD MAGICALLY DOWNSIZE IF NOT DISAPPEAR!!!" melt down crisis. You know one of those days when you stand in the mirror trying to decide which shirt/blouse looks best, and after trying on the gazillionth top, the light bulb (in your brain) finally clicks on and you realize that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your shirts-they are perfect. However, everything is absolutely, 100 percent wrong with your bra-it fits horribly and your boulders are sagging down to your belly button? Well, this was my scenario, and had been since I can remember. That was until yesterday, when I had a life altering experience. After picking my self esteem up off my bedroom floor and gathering my composure, I drove to the mall in hot pursuit of a minimizing, ultra support, highlift bra with a band that didn't roll up or straps that dig in to eat my shoulders alive! My quest for the ultimate bra was over when I found the Lunaire Coolmax Sports Bra!!!! Upon trying it on, I was so amazed that it met my above criteria plus it offered amazing back support, which enhanced my posture instantly. (I actually felt like I was standing at full-attention saluting my superior. Thats just how much overal support this bra offers!)When I looked in the mirror I discovered that my breasts appeared to be 2 sizes smaller with a natural contour-no conic or smashing effect that is so typical of most sports bras). The amount of lift is unbelievable! My breasts now look like "PERKY" adolescent breasts! I really love the maximum coverage this bra offers while maintaining seperation. Nope, there is no 'third' breast squeezing out of the center, and no flesh erupting from the sides of the breast next to the armpit. I wore my Lunaire home and tried on all of my close fitting tops, and let me tell you... Finally, everything looked amazingly perfect! My initial intentions were to use it soley for exercise purposes , simply because my breasts had become so sore from the constant "bouncing" as a result of impact using the eliptical trainer.(Lunaire Coolmax Sports Bra reduced this problem significantly. It feels like someone is giving you a firm hug-dramatically less jiggle and movement when exercising.) I promise you that you will never want to take this bra off once you put it on. Honestly, it really feels just that good. I just can't stop smiling back at my reflected mirror image. My negative self body image has been wisked away and replaced with a level of highly renewed self-esteem. I loveeee this bra! So much so that I purchased 2 at the department store, and here I am on the website to purchase a trio set! Hands down, by far wearing the Lunaire Sports Bra produces the visual effects and benefits that only a surgical breast reduction could provide. Until, I can afford the costly procedure... I will stick to wearing my Lunaires!!! Just like the body can't live without food, I can't live without my Lunaire Coolmax Sports bra! Teresa from Portland, Oregon USA

I wear a 44H or I, and this is the first supportive sports bra I've found in this size. I put this bra on in the early morning for strength training and then find myself wearing it all day. My only criticisms: the underwires poke me occasionally and the straps need to be wider for larger sizes. Strap cushions help my shoulders stay comfortable. Otherwise, this is a terrific bra! (HerRoom Response: If your shoulder straps hurt, you probably need to go down a band size - straps are not supposed to carry so much weight that they hurt your shoulders.) Kris from Flint, MI

First, let me say that this bra is better than most sports bras I've tried. Having been a "full-busted" athlete all of my life, finding a supportive bra that can withstand multi-sport action, has been daunting. Luckily, I found the Cool Max at Dillard's as a replacement when their stores' bra, made by Cabernet, was discontinued. I've enjoyed the bra thus far and am impressed with it's durability, and non invasive shoulder straps. However, I've found that the cotton back and clasp need to be made of a more "rigid" material, because after a few washings, it seems to loosen considerably. Also, I find that the shoulder staps are a little too long for my frame and "ride down" after a short time, usually after the first half mile of my run. This is uncomfortable when mid-exercise, to have to try to run and pull my straps tighter as I go. I've been forcing the cushioned portion of the straps into the tightener, and had no "ride down" since. So, let me just say that I'm satisfied with the bra, it's one of the best on the market, but as with every product it does have it's drawbacks. Thank you Julie from Youngstown, Ohio, USA

This is called a sports bra, but it's my favorite everyday bra BY FAR. I've never had a bra this comfortable before. It stays put....no adjusting during the day, no scooping your boobs back in where they belong, no pulling the back down again. This is the best bra I've ever worn! Although it's a sports bra, I often wear it on an "every day" basis. I spent a lot of time trying to find a sports bra that fit my larger-than-normal bust. Most sports bras are made small and simply smash a woman's breasts together. The Lunaire bra offers upright support with its underwire. It's extremely comfortable and it keeps you cool with the Coolmax technology. I just bought two more! You should too! Michelle from Collierville, TN - USA

I am very active in a lot of sports. Being large in the boob area and athletic is not an easy thing to do. I have been in search of a sports bra that supports me yet leaves me comfortable enough to play. I am a size 42F and this sports bra has kept me in place and able to move more comfortably. THANK YOU SO MUCH.....IM going to buy 3 more on top of the two I already have hehe.... Dawn from Jersey City/NJ/07305

I'm a 36DDD and have tried for the past 15 years to find a decent sports bra for my cup size. This bra is it! I couldn't be more pleased. Both the band and the straps fit securely, without pinching or binding, and do not move while I exercise. Also, the straps are non-elastic, so you don't have to worry about them stretching and loosening. The material is strong enough to give the support I need while still being cool and breathable. I'd recommend this bra to any woman and especially to large breasted women. Lunaire does not squash my breasts as many other brands do. Carey from Houston, TX
