This was terrible for me. The bottom band gave me a rash within minutes if putting it on. The cups have a seam across the middle of the cup which is unsightly. Also the bottom band does not give near enough support. I cannot wear this

HerRoom Response: Puckering along a cup usually means the cup is too large. Consider going down a cup size.

I am on the hunt for a comfortable, great fitting bra - unfortunately this is not it. I like that it is cotton - although the cotton is not as soft as I would have hoped. Cup size runs small and I had to go up. It's an ok bra but not great.
HerRoom Response: Being a 100% cotton bra, it does not have the give of other bras with spandex. This is the reason you are thinking it's running small.

Leading Lady response: Please check out our size chart to make sure you are fitted correctly. I have been buying this same size for a LONG time, so was sure the size I ordered would be a good fit. In this particular bra, however, the cup size seemed to be much smaller, which made for a bad fit. 100% cotton including the straps. If you are looking for elastic in the straps this bra does not have any type of elastic or stretch component. Not cut as full in the cups as needed.
Leading Lady Response: This bra is latex free, made of 100% cotton - the trim and elastic excluded. The elastic contains some spandex for stretch. Perhaps you should try sizing up for a fuller cup and easier fit.

I recently had a Breast Reduction and was looking for an ultra soft bra to help the recovery process. Sadly, although Latex Free, this bra was still uncomfortable even after washing. The worst part though, is that the cups come to a very pointy cone shape. They don't lie smooth around your breast. It looks ridiculous under clothes.

I give this bra a low rating due to the inconsistencies in ordering the same size bra each time. They are never the same size - usually smaller in comparison to the ones I have. I have one that I don't wear, that is the right size, to compare each time I buy new ones. Sadly, it is difficult to find latex-free bras and all of us latex allergy sufferers are extremely limited in our options.

I am very sensitive to latex. This bra is very comfortable if I wear it wrong side out! The outside has a soft cotton cover over the torso band so I am protected from any latex. I have ordered 5 of these all total so you can see I highly approve other than having to wear it wrong side out. If Her Room adds a layer of cotton on the torso band, that would make it a 5 star Plus.

I like the Leading Lady Bras because they are the only ones I have found that I am not sensitive to. As a sufferer of multiple chemical sensitiveness. They can take the repeated washing I have to do to them to get the chemical contaminants out enough to wear them. I have not found any other bra that can do this. The fit is good. This bra is a real service to people like me who are so sensitive.

This is my first latex-free bra. It was comfortable somewhat. The straps are too wide, and the band around the bottom was a bit pokey. I turned the bra inside out to avoid that pokey band. It works. Also I added a bra extender since I ordered the wrong size. I have an order placed for a bigger size. Eventually I'm going to make my own bras.

I really love this bra. i ordered the exact same size that i usually buy and it was a perfect fit. However, since i am only 5 foot 2 inches the straps, even at their smallest setting, are just a bit too long. Is their something i can buy to attach to the straps to make them shorter? I don't mind that it only comes in white, i am just so grateful not to be itching and breaking out from latex. Thank you so much for offering this product at a reasonable price.!!

I am now ordering my fourth one of these bras. It is the best bra I've ever had. I love the cotton, it is so soft, and no allergy problems. It gives a good shape, but modest appearance under knit shirts. I hate underwires, but with this bra, in my size, I find there is no problem with uplift. (I can see how in a larger size it may not work as well.) When it seems a little saggy I tighten the shoulder straps, which is easy to do, and not uncomforatable. The only issue I've had is the fastener in back causes irritation from pressure (my skin is really sensitive), but that is true of every bra I've had.

These bras are almost perfect. I would suggest that the manufacturer line the elastic band around the chest with a cotton stretch material. That exposed elastic (lycra?) can get irritating whe one is outside in extreme heat as we have here in Bakersfield. Although I now have enough for awhile, whenever I need to reorder, it will DEFINITELY be thses bras.

I am so pleased with this bra that I am writing my very first online review. I have a small frame and have a hard time getting a good fit so I didn't expect much in buying without fitting first. However, the measurement guidelines are very good and this bra not only fits better than some of my $60+ store bras, but is very soft and comfortable. Best of all, my bra shaped rash is beginning to clear. I immediately ordered 2 more. Thank you for this product. PLEASE consider making it in black and beige!

I am sorry to say I was unhappy with my purchase. I measured myself to ensure I bought the correct size, however, the bra was too small. The shoulder straps had no 'give' and kept falling off my shoulders. The cups were very small for a 38 B. The bra kept 'riding up' and had no give when I tried to pull it down. I can't wear it.

Although comfortable, especially in very hot weather, the cup (size "C" in my case) is quite small and squashes the breast. Good for a "cover up" of one's breasts, but certainly not for enhancing one's figure!
Leading Lady Response:
This style has had a very long history and was designed for a very specific purpose to be 100% cotton and Latex free. Although it is not a modern fit, we have constant requests not to make changes to this style. We are working on a new Latex free style for 2012 and will advise when available.

The bras took longer than I thought to arrive, and I was disappointed when I finally got them and they did not fit. I like the concept of latex free bras, but the cotton was not very stretchy, like tee shirt cotton, nor was it a nice fitted cotton like good Pima cotton. The size was very off, as I ordered a 38C and the cup was a little small, but the band wasn't even close to fitting. I would need a 42 or more for the band size. Overall a disappointing experience.
Leading Lady Response:Style #600 has been in Leading Lady's line for approx 40 years and is the original fit, by our original designer. Some customers are just used to it and buy accordingly. The fabric is made of a nice quality cotton, though clearly not as soft as Prima cotton. We recommend measuring yourself to make sure that you are the correct size.

It was such a blessing to find a latex-free bra, and overall I have been very satisfied with the Leading Lady latex free cotton bra. I have been wearing them for several years now and have had no allergic reaction to them at all. They do seem to run small; in the past with other bras I have worn a 36B but the Leading Lady 38C is a much better fit. The only issue I have is that I still cannot keep the straps in place. They continually slide down my shoulders onto my upper arms. This was an issue with the first bras I ordered that was somewhat alleviated when the small elastic (Spandex?) strip was added to the straps. But even with that, no matter how much I tighten the straps, they continue to slide off my shoulders. Otherwise the bra fits well and is certainly a wonderful solution for those of us who are allergic to latex.

This is an excellent bra for women who need one with a minimum amount of spandex, latex or other types of elastic. It is very comfortable, has adjustable cotton straps and fits far better than it's Cottonique competitor that closes with draw strings, fits poorly and has straps that cannot be adjusted. I will buy more of these in the future.

I wasn't sure at first about this one; because there's no spandex, the cup fit was not as sleek as I'm used to. Once I had it adjusted right in the straps and band, however, I found it comfortable, surprisingly supportive for a wirefree, and pleasantly not irritating to my sensitive skin (which makes it hard for me to wear nylon or polyester bras). Has a pointier profile than most modern bras and absolutely no padding, but I don't mind. Good for an everyday average-cup-size bra.

I am very pleased with my purchase. This is not an item I would normally buy online, but I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for (100% cotton; not padded) so decided to take a chance. I was thrilled with my purchase. It was perfect in every way and I loved the extra touch of it being wrapped in tissue. (Lavender is my favorite color.)

ordered bigger size because of reviews, barely fit. nothing you cannot get at store. "spandex' was not even covered with cloth like my other bras & yes it is not seemless or thick material. Save the extra expense of shipping.

Because of a latex allergy i ordered this bra. I love it, it is comfortable and a great fit. I normally wear a Bali bra in 38D but have developed skin reactions, so i ordered the Leading Lady in 38D and it fit even better than what i normally wear. So far, i have had no reactions with this bra. I always line dry my bras and never put them in the dryer, so i cannot say if this bra shrinks.

I've worn this bra for years. My criteria for a bra are: cotton, non-underwire, supportive, and no stretch straps. This meets my criteria and it's very comfortable. I like bras to be beige and this only comes in white, so I dye it with black tea.

First the negatives: The cups don't quite fit right; It's not the prettiest thing; It lacks support. The positives: It IS very comfortable and it's latex-free. I'd rather not have a rash and other skin issues than care about a pretty bra.

Was closer to an A cup than a D. Terrible sizing. How can it be called 100% cotton and in the next breath it says elastic has spandex. This bra is suppose to be a 42c and I had to purchase 2 extensions in order to wear it since it runs small or they placed the wrong tag on the bra. When my friend saw it she noticed right away that it looked small and not a 42 at all. Since then I went to another website and order from someone else. I didn't return it because I was in need of a bra and I had to wear something. I really feel that I threw out my money.

Four stars for comfort. Only drawback (other than its utilitarian look!) is the horizontal cup seam which gives a rather angular bust rather than rounded. But for those who find the bands of most bras irritating to skin this will be an improvement.

I am highly sensitive to latex and this bra has changed all that for me. At first, I thought I would need a larger size, but there is more give that I would have thought in an all cotton bra. I get no allergic reaction whatsoever and it is very comfortable. I also did not put it in the dryer, but air dried just in case. Also, not having underwire, but support is a plus. So glad I found HerRoom and will order from this site again.

Nice cotton bra. Good support. The non-wire cup support is great. But I don't care for the seamed cup and find the lack of stretch doesn't make this a great "all day" bra. Would buy another if they made it with a seamless cup.

I am sensitive to latex and spandex. I read that the elastic was covered but it wasn't. I had to return the bra and was very disappointed. I can wear Cotton and Lycra R Spandex (by Dupont). After I started being sensitive to my Playtex 18-hour bras, this is the most comfortable bra I've ever owned. I sat down and bought 5 more after the first one worked out so well. I find that the small amount of spandex on the band is not an issue for me, plus I found that the bras, being all-cotton, actually break in like a pair of shoes, and get better and more comfortable with washing, as opposed to the way other bras get worse and more stretched-out every time you wash them. Wash them in cold or warm water, not hot, and air-dry them, not tumble-dry, and they won't shrink down as much. Also, you can stretch the cups back out with your hands after they're dry. The straps do tend to slide down a bit, but that's because a cotton strap is intrinsically more slippery on your skin than an all-elastic stretch strap. I find that if I shorten the straps a bit, they stop sliding. Big thumbs-up to Leading Lady.

This bra is advertised on the web site as having all elastic covered in cotton, but that is not the case. There is uncovered elastic touching the skin around the inner bottom and in the side/underarm areas. For those with sensitivity to elastic made with spandex, this bra is not suitable. HerRoom Response: We greatly appreciate your input and observations.

I wish the straps were wide and padded. I suffer from fibromylasia. I seem to have developed an allergy to latex. Plus slight discomforts seem to be magnified with me. This is a tip for the ladies who wrote in reviews after trying your bras, and said they loved them but that they had problems with the straps "falling down" their shoulders. I have the same experience (maybe we're round-shouldered) and thought I had the answer when I used bras with straps that unhooked from the cups, and criss-crossed them across my back. The straps ended up practically around my neck! Nothing worked as well as I liked until I sewed a length of elastic (or you could use some latex free stretchy material) between the straps just above the hooks. Just don't strangle yourself while putting it on over your head. It compensates for my rounded shoulders by centering the tension higher up my back, and removes the "play" from straps that migrate south!

This bra is good for those allergic to latex. It fits and feels good. The only problem I have is the seams across the center show through all but the bulkiest of clothing. I figure I can wear it under winter clothes much better than summer clothes. Just hoping maybe this will help get this problem corrected. Some pretty bras for us latex sufferers would be great!
Thanks,

Ahhhh...What a relieve it was to finally find a laytex free bra! I searched all the local stores/malls etc to no avail. Then a bell went off and I thought I'd try the internet. your site was the only place I found the laytex free bra. I started having a terrible rash with laytex products. My skin would turn red and would rise and swell for hours at a time. It was so uncomfortable. So I ordered just one to see how it would do. It was great! Then I tried to find laytex free underware, but still to no avail. I'll have to keep trying! I noticed a little shrinkage with the bra, but I loved it. So my next orer I believe I ordered 5 (one size up) to save on shipping and to get the "gold" while I could. Then on fathers day of this year we crashed our ultra-light plane up in the high mountains of Idaho. They had to call life flight for me. I made it thru with a broken collar bone, head injury and deep cut leg and a blessing that they also found a meningioma (brain tumor) and I most recently had it removed. I remember when they had to cut all my clothes off, my pilots jacket, levis, t-shirt, thermals, underware and my bra. I was upset about my bra! I kept it to myself. But I told my family/friends I just got that bra, why couldn't they unhook the back strap. We'll I was in so much pain thats why! I'll need to order more soon, but I'm hoping that maybe you carry laytex free underware and I could order a whole bunch! Thank you for your web-wite and your "gold"! Sincerely, E"liz"abeth
