Comfortable and soft. But as a larger size, it does not quite support on the sides. Also, will not stay hooked on the top. Constantly unhooks on the first two hooks. I like the comfort but lacks support.

HerRoom Response: It is noted that you are petite. This bra is too much coverage for your physique. Dawn from Texas

Runs very small. I wear 34 DD and so I ordered the 34 C/D/E. I questioned how it would fit a 34C and 34DD to the online help chat and was told it was very stretchy. Waited forever for it to come and cannot even put it on hardly. very disappointed.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry for your experience, but this bra is stretchy and fitting most per the hundreds of reviews posted. Laurie

Great everyday bra. It won't give you low-cut-dress cleavage but I don't need that under by t-shirt. Comfortable. Fits well. Good value. I liked the black one I bought so much, I bought a white one. Blaise from Eureka

This bra is very soft and fitted really well. Unfortunately, the straps are not adjustable and because I am short, the front was drooping considerably. Because of this the metal of the lowest hook in the center front was digging into my abdomen.

HerRoom Response: You are correct. The straps have no adjustability so will not work on a person who is petite in height or short-waisted. It will also be challenging on a tall person. A woman 5'4" to 5'8" will have the best results. Carla from Mountain View

This is my go to lounge bra. I have purchased several over the years. I sized up to a 42 F/G/H to accommodate my cup size (40M). I can wear them with shapewear to give support to run errands, and my girls are not flopping or bouncy. PLJ from Albany

I am usually a 36H, but for this I went up a band size, and I'm glad that I did. It stretches, but I think a 36 would have been more snug than I would have liked. I got this bra for after surgery, and its been great for it. Jenny from Florida, US

I really love this product. When you first open it, the impression is that it’s cheaply made but once you put it on it’s so comfortable. I wish the fabric had a little more hold.

HerRoom Response: The lightness of this garment is intentional so it reduces the chance of you getting hot while sleeping in it. Natalie from Canada

WAY undersized, and much too flimsy for fuller figure. I wear a 36D5, wore a few times at home after work and it fell apart. . Might be a nice leisure bra if I was smaller-busted. Rachel from Chicago

I am retired and don't get "dressed up" every day as I did for so many years. I am learning to live a more casual and relaxed life. I ordered one of these and after wearing it just once, I ordered more. I am not a big fan of cotton for undies, but these are so comfortable in every way! Just enough support without binding so when I am relaxing at home, no more uncomfortable and fancy underwire underwear unless I am going out. Joyce from Memphis, TN, USA

Bra fits very well, mildly supportive, but the bottom hook is not covered well enough by the overlap, so I'm getting poked in the chest by the metal hook. I'm going to have to sew on a piece for fabric to pad it. dk from US

I love the fit in the breasts. Soft cushioned straps are awesome. The back wants to ride up because of my size, weight but can live with it. The only issue is the bottom hook is pinchy. They should add a little more soft material there or extend it a little. You could at a little pad yourself if bothersome. Lillian from Anderson

Doctor recommended soft cup bra after surgery. I was not to have any underwire. This bra is cotton, so that it breathes against my skin. Has cups to keep implants from being squished flat. Healing well, in part due to the comfortable nature of the bra. Judy from Dallas/Texas

I wanted to really love this bra, based on the past reviews. I had shoulder surgery a few months ago and still can't reach behind my back. So, I've been researching front-close bras, and this one was my choice. The front close is good, but very uncomfortable next to my skin, and I've been using a small cloth in between the bra and my skin. The back seam right in the center I also find very uncomfortable. For these two reasons, I'm giving it a 3. The fit, though, is perfect and I love the wide straps. Susa from Sebasian, FL

Runs true to size. My bust/underbust is 38/30, I ordered 36CDE. Enough light. support for every day or night wear. I drive for a living, and my bosom isn't bouncing around uncomfortably. No uni-boob. Thoughtfully designed to separate and support for pretty profile under layers, but doesn't lift and shape. Rebecca from Pittsburgh, PA USA

Total garbage, and runs WAY too small. I purchased this according to size, wore the bra twice for a few hours each time (during leisure time after work), and the seams started to come unraveled and the fabric pulled apart at the seams.Tried complaining to HerRoom for a refund, but they refused. Might be appropriate for a smaller bust but not for me, and not as advertised.

The front closure is made of scratchy material. It is very uncomfortable next to your skin especially, your breasts. I will be returning this.

I've had this leisure bra for 3 weeks, have worn it fewer than 5 times, and it's falling apart. Straps are coming unraveled and the back seam is ripping open. Bra is no longer wearable so it's a total loss. I'm normally a 36D5 and found this bra searching by size. I would not recommend this bra for fuller cup sizes at all; the construction just isn't durable enough and the sizing seems off.

Leading Lady Response: This is not normal of our product.  This is our bestselling and most popular bra.  Every bra is inspected for quality.  Please make sure you are following care instructions on the garment:  This bra should be hand wash. Use non-chlorine bleach when needed. Line dry. Iron as needed, using low temperature. Rachel from Chicago

I now have 2 of these and I plan to buy at least one more. My actual bra size is 30 D8 (universal sizing) but this fits okay. It's not supportive but it does keep the girls from flopping around when I'm sleeping or relaxing at home which is what I bought it for. It also opens in the front which will come in handy for breastfeeding. I do wish it came in my actual size though Marissa from Dallas, TX

I need front opening bras after lumpectomy surgery. This brand fit well, but its down-side was the binding that was not cotton. It chafed already sensitive areas of skin when sleeping in it. I preferred the cotton edged fruit of the loom product to this one.

Leading Lady Response:  This bra is not designed to use after surgery but we will take this comment and see what we could do differently in new products that we are developing to service customers with post-surgery needs. Cheryl from Bedford, IN, USA

I've been struggling with finding a bra that fits, let alone a comfortable fit. The nearest size for me, I think, is a 48B, but they are difficult to find.. It's very comfortable, and I love the pattern! The front-close is fantastic and should be on every single bra; I especially appreciate it because I have a connective tissue disorder and don't really need to be bending my arms the wrong way to do a back-close. My only complaint is that I wish the band were a little wider, because it keeps rolling on itself under my boobs, which is somewhat uncomfortable. Kate from Wawarsing, NY

I ordered the same size band as my current bras which is larger than my normal size due to pregnancy. Was so excited when they first arrived but after one night wearing it I was very uncomfortable. The band is smaller than a 36. I compared and the 36 I use and have on the tightest hooks is still bigger than this. I am going to buy an extender so I can use these bras but recommend a larger band size. Will be comfortable and supportive once I fix band.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this band was too tight. We suggest checking out our Bra Extender section to help you find one that fits your needs. Anj

Nice looking bra, but wasn't tall enough. I'm only 5'7" but I have loads of shoulder muscles atop a long torso. I can get my breasts OR my shoulders into this bra, but not breasts AND shoulders simultaneously without stooping like a hunchback and being very restricted in shoulder blades. JLS

I loved the pattern and material of this bra, however- the size 38 would only have fit a size 32. I had to give it to my very skinny daughter as I had thrown away the tags. Not sure why but these run extremely small.

Leading Lady Response: We have not heard of this issue before. This is our most popular comfort bra and this is the most popular size. There are very few complaints on this bra. Our QC has confirmed our audit results on this bra was within manufacturing tolerance. Tina

These bras are extremely tight. I measure 36, so ordered a 40. They went into the Goodwill box and I ordered a 42 from another retailer and that was tight as well. Other than that, they are attractive, but I won't waste my money ordering any more.

Leading Lady Response: This is our most popular comfort bra and this is the most popular size. There are very few complaints on this bra. If this you are measuring the bottom of your band, you are ordering the correct band size of 40, but may not be ordering the correct cup size. You may want to try size 40F/G/H. Susabella

Needed super-soft, comfortable bra following thoracotomy with left upper lobectomy. With my very large-cup size breasts, I was very leery of finding a bra that would fit the bill. This bra exceeded my expectations. I've never felt anything quite as soft and comfortable and it actually corrals the girls. I can actually get dressed and go out in pubic, and wear the bra casually around the house to relieve stress on my surgery site. Thank you so much for offering this product on your site. I have been searching for a comfortable sleep bra for a very long time. It's difficult because I am full breasted and wear a large cup size. Most sleep bras I have tried barely cover my breasts and definitely don't provide any support. I was pleasantly surprised by this bra. My cup size is between G and H. I was skeptical that a bra with a cup range between F and H would work. It does. It provides complete coverage and really decent support. I even can wear this as a casual bra with my street clothes without feeling sloppy and droopy. I plan on ordering more. Eileen from Largo, MD USA

The trim around the arm and neck holes is sharp and has teeth that cut like a saw blade. I am surprised that other reviews do not mention this. The fit is ok otherwise, but the abrasive lace makes this unwearable. I wonder if other Leading Lady models are the same

While the buying & shipping experience was wonderful & problem-free, in the end I am not overly thrilled with the bra. It tends to ride up in the back sometimes, making it uncomfortable. Plus the underlying edges of the fabric where the hooks connect to the 'eyes' becomes curled up & rub on the skin. I do love the color & the soft fabric.

I think this bra runs small. Usually I wear 34 -36 around. I am getting this because I need a no wire front close bra for after my open heart surgery in August. Try finding that in this size! I thought maybe if I wore it all day it would loosen up, but it dug in and made a red mark under my breast that stayed for 2 days.

Tried a couple sizes in this, but it didn't work, mainly because it fails to do what a bra does: the cups offer no support at all. Also the edges of the elastic are scalloped with stiff, scratchy teeth, and the back rode up as the front sagged down. I like the clasp.

HerRoom Response:Hi Kitty, we're sorry you were disappointed in this bra. However, this is a sleep and leisure bra so its intended purpose isn't for support. If you're looking for a front closure bra that does offer support, we have plenty of styles to choose from on our site. Thank you for choosing HerRoom. Kitty from Minnesota

I'm between sizes. Since this is a front closure with no option for using other hooks, I went down a size. It's way too tight. Follow their instructions and go up a size. Aside from being far too tight for a "leisure" anything, it's also too "short". I'm very short waisted, but the length on this from shoulders to band line is a bit ridiculous. I can't imagine one size up would have made a big difference, there. I'm waiting for the rest of my order to come in before returning this one.

The seams in the cups don't match. The seam in the left cup is .5 inch shorter than the seam in the right cup. I'm smaller on the right, so the seam issue makes me look even more uneven. This gives you an idea of the quality of this item.

I don't plan to order again due to the sizing. I wear 36D3. The size chart indicates to order 36F/G/H, so I did. It fits okay, but the cups feel too loose, which makes the straps feel too tight. A smaller choice might be 36C/D/E, but that sounds like it would be too small. It feels soft enough.

Leading Lady Response: This bra is designed to fit cup size ranges of C/D/DD and F/G/H. Please remeasure - a 36C/D/DD would fit smaller in the cup. Leslie from Michigan

Super comfy with enough support to wear around the house without scaring anyone away! I wore it to sleep a few times when staying over at a friend's house, and it was comfy enough for sleep, but I did still feel that "boob relief" when I took it off the next morning. I sized up on the band, and it was a perfect fit. Mala from New York

I'm glad I read the reviews and ordered a larger band size. It is very comfortable. Because it is a less rigid bra, I feel like it pulls on my neck and shoulders, but I don't plan on wearing it while standing (mostly sleeping / under nightgown while traveling with a friend) so I think it will be perfect. I have purchased this bra for the past 3 years now. For a while I used them to sleep in and they were perfect. Eventually I started to just wear them around the house and to run errands in, considering they make such a drastic difference in providing support for a heavy bosom. As usual, the only issue with the bra is that it has the seams in the cups, which run straight across the nipple and causes discomfort. Not enough of a problem to turn me away from them, but hopefully they will come out with a smoother seam design to eliminate the problem. Overall, wonderful! And worth the price. They last forever. I work at home, so only put a bra on when I go out. I buy cheap stretchy bras since they will never have my cup size. So far I like the bra from HerRoom I ordered. It covers me, and fits more comfortable than what I have been wearing. It lifts me a little more too. I found the bottom of the closure irritating until I tucked it under. I'm hoping it won't stretch out and wear out too soon. Cyndi from Michigan

Initially I purchased this bra as I was undergoing breast surgery and needed to keep a bra on at all times for two weeks. I ordered two, so I would always have a clean bra to wear when one was in the wash. I fell in love with this bra; not merely because of the post surgery comfort, but because I do not like the bones or tight elastic one finds as part of most bras. I ordered another with polka dots for summer wear with light weight blouses as I thought it was so cute! I will NEVER go back to wearing a "regular" bra. I am not small chested by any means ( C cup ), but the comfort and very adequate support are more than I could have hoped for. Women who are large breasted often cannot wait to take off their bras so they can breathe and feel comfortable. I keep these bras on and never feel bound up and eager to shed the undergarment. Short of breast reduction so I would not need a bra at all, I highly recommend this bra; and it comes in lovely colors as well. Oh, I have never had a problem with the bra showing above my tops unless a garment is very low cut...VERY low cut. I am online to reorder! Carol from Massachusetts

I didn't rate the Sleep & Leisure bra because I did not get a chance to wear it. As someone who has been four different cup sizes throughout my adult life, I should have known that the bra doesn't exist that works for a C cup and an E cup (E comes after DD). I can certainly see this style for a B and possible a C but no larger than that.

HerRoom Response: An E cup only comes after a DD cup when referring to UK sizing. An E cup is equivalent to a DD cup in US sizing. Please visit our Bra Fitting Guide where you will find a series of tips to help you better evaluate which size works best for you. Kris from Houston, TX

Was not true to size, too small. I needed larger sizes. Bras are very pretty, hope the bigger sizes fit.

Leading Lady Response: This bra is made of 90% cotton and 10% spandex. Because of this, it does not have as much stretch as much nylon/spandex found in most bras. The cotton fabric gives this style a nice balance that you may not be used to. Linda from West Warwick, RI

The reviews on this bra are 100% on target! I love this bra. Its comfy in all the right places. I wear this bra a lot and still amazed I can be supported and in comfort without an underwire. Lots of great coverage and looks great under jersey knit fabrics (clingy without being tight - I sometimes get lumps on my sides from tight bands with other bras) The construction on this baby is beyond awesome. The only thing I don't like is the narrow neckline, scoop or boat necklines are a pain. I wish there was a bit thicker lining, its like wearing a t-shirt which is great in the heat, not so great when you transition to a frigid room with air conditioning... just saying - have a cardigan in your purse! I have traveled with these and they have been great for washing in the sink and being dry by morning. Wonderful product. Lisa from Des Moines, IA

The 36FGH Leading Lady 110, front close, sleep bra Fits my cup size well, even though I have lost 10 pounds after I purchased it. Some times I wake up though with the bottom front hook hurting my skin. But this problem is eliminated If I undo that hook and fold under both of the exposed bottom corner edges. Probably need to loose another 20 pounds before needing to order the next size smaller cup size. At least this bra arrived at my door after around only a week from when I first ordered it. I also had to order a different brand cotton day bra on Feb. 14 from a different web company and now, even almost 3 weeks later, that day bra has not been delivered to my house yet. So that makes me appreciate that my new sleep bra arrived so quickly to my home. This helped quite a bit since I have been and still are slowly but steadily loosing more weight. Mary from Tulsa, OK

Great leisure bra for lounging around the house. Offers just the right amount of support so I can still be comfortable but not embarrassed if company shows up unexpectedly. The only issue I have with it is that the bottom elastic of the bra tends to bunch up if you sleep in it. Amanda from Berkeley, CA

I bought two different colors and they fit well, but the bottom snap digs into your skin. I have to put a folded piece of paper towel between the snap and my skin to keep a sore from forming. The reason I bought this style is because most bras straps fall off my shoulders. This one does not. The support is fair compared to other bras. Living in AZ where it gets hot, the supportive types of bras with a supporting back (hence straps stay in place) are hot. DiAnn from AZ

4 stars because it's not perfect. I do really like the bra. It's very comfortable. I'm a 48 band and wear F or G depending on the make of bra. However, I may end up buying the next smaller size soon to compare. I mean, I don't expect a lot of support in this bra, but it doesn't appear to support enough to look like I'm even wearing a bra. So, maybe a smaller size will help with that. Miranda from Huntsville/AL/US

I purchased this item to use as a sleep bra, housework, etc. It works fine for all of that, but if I had known that it was a f/g/h, then i probably would have ordered the next cup down, just to get a better compression affect, as I think that it would be more supportive if it was a bit smaller in the cup. Surprisingly, this sleep bra has great support for an ample bust. I have never found something to support me so well without an underwire. The biggest problem I have with it is the tag in the back (which I cut out and wound up leaving a hole in it) and the seam in the cups. It runs straight through the nipple and is incredibly itchy, plus it leaves an imprint in your skin. However, I still wear them because of the support it offers. Not perfect and could have a slightly better design. Maggie from Ohio

The elastic is too tight and making mark on my skin. Feels like a sports bra. Order one size up.

HerRoom Response: Sometimes on styles that have front closures it is necessary to go up in band size. This is due to the fact that you cannot adjust the band like you can with bras that have back hook closures. We hope the next size up will work better for you. farrell from pelham/al/usa

This bra is magical! I wanted a bra I could sleep in for when I am away from home/have overnight guests/might see people before I get dressed. I normally wear a 36G and chose not to size up on the band despite other reviewers stating that it runs tight. It is definitely snug, but not enough to be uncomfortable. The instant I put it on, I felt my back pain (a constant in my life) cut in half. It obviously isn't a push-up, but I feel very supported. I think this will be an excellent low-impact sports bra (yoga, gardening, etc). I was so pleasantly surprised with the fit that I just ran on here to review it and buy three more in different colors. I think the last time a $24 bra fit me was the seventh grade. This one gets a gold star! Brooke from Michigan

I purchased this bra for a relative who lives in a nursing facility. The bra works very well for her and I've since ordered several more for her to use. Initially I purchased one of these bras in anticipation of wearing it after breast surgery. I was looking for something comfortable and a bra which clasped in the front. I had to wear a bra, day and night, for five days post surgery and found this bra to be both comfortable while giving me the support I needed....I have a Hiatal Hernia which makes any bra with an underwire very uncomfortable as it puts pressure on the part of my body where I experience discomfort. Well, I was so pleased with my purchase that I bought two more and wear them everyday. They provide more than adequate support, are easy to put on and remove and I am comfortable, which is of paramount importance to me. I am also pleased that the bra comes in different colors, including a cute black with white "dots". I own the gray, white and the black and will purchase more if other colors are available. It is a good feeling to come home and not want to rush to my room to remove my bra! Gals, you know what I mean. Carol S. from Massachusetts

I've seen several woman post that this wasn't great for support. I am naturally big breasted (44 DDD) before becoming pregnant. I expect that I will go up a size or two and this bra fits pretty good now and I believe that I'll have room to grow once my milk comes in. First few days the bra didn't feel all that comfy at all. After the 3rd day of wear I forget that I have it on. It's not that great on support, but I do wear it out in town. Perfect for just that (other than at home use too!) Just the thing for at home nursing, if you're going to have people visit a bit., and running around town. Melody from South Carolina

This is the second Leading Lady Front Close Sleep & Leisure bra that I purchase. I have tried 2-3 other styles, but for me this one is the most comfortable and gives great support without the underwire. The material is soft and holds up great after cold water washes on delicate cycle. I always lay it flat to dry and bra looks great. I recommend this bra for ladies who have the larger DD cups that just don't feel comfortable sleeping without a bra or when just wanting a lighter bra for leisure. Silvia from Riverside

Waste of money for this A cup customer! I am a true 42A and have a dozen Leading Lady 42A (two different models) in my drawer that fit perfectly on the middle hooks. This is perhaps a 38, woefully tight around the band, and in a cotton bra that is likely to shrink? The bra gives no support, no nipple coverage, and in fact due to weird seaming makes my nipples more pronounced. UGH! Even right-sized I could not wear this out of the house, and I bought it with the hope of having something easy to wear for weekend errands or for a bit of comfortable coverage the gym. FAIL! But it might work for you if you are built differently or want it for different uses.

Leading Lady Response: This is a sleep and leisure bra. If you would like more coverage and support, we recommend trying Leading Lady style 5401. Stephanie from Arizona

As I suspected, my girl's are too full for anything other than a wired bra. I had been considering trying a soft cup support bra, but after this purchase I know I have no other choice but to stick with what has always worked for me ~ wired cups. I couldn't wear this bra for more than 20 minutes much less sleep in it. The constant readjusting was more than a little irritating to have to do. But I love, love, love the polka dots and wish that manufacturer's would offer more prints for we fuller busted women.

Most comfortable bra I have ever put on! The only things I would change are for the straps to be adjustable and the bra be offered in cup size A/B as well. I'm a big girl with smaller breasts and it's hard to find the right fit. This bra comes pretty close to being perfect! Thank you! Kimberly from Conway, AR USA

This bra is comfortable and overall I like the styling. The problem is the dart in the middle of the cup area. It leaves a pucker at the tip, which shows under clothes. If this was just for sleeping it wouldn't matter, but to wear around the house in a tee is quite unattractive to to the "point". The bad runs a little small so I'd recommend sizing up. It's comfortable, but I got this bra because it looks like it is low cut in the pictures. Unfortunately, it is not at all low cut. I suspect that because of my larger breast size, they thought they needed to make it higher cut for more "support". But it isn't working, I have much lower cut bras with far more support. Also, the number of clasps I need to use to close the bra is really irritating.

I can't stand a tight band so usually buy a 38C though my actual body band size measurement is barely 34 inches. I like my bands so they practically hang in there, unstretched. The band on this one is too tight for me even in 38. The actual band of the bra barely comes to 26 inches, unstretched. My dislike of tight garments is obviously not universal so I am writing this for fellow constrictophobics. (The reason for no stars is the same.) T.M. from Birmingham, AL

Excellent service, quick ship times. I have purchased this bra in nylon to wear after rotator cuff surgery and highly recommend the nylon version. This time I purchased it in cotton, and find that the trim on the bottom of the bra leaves a red welt by the end of the day. Next time I order it will be the nylon version again. This bra is uncomfortable and flimsy, I've very disappointed. The band is ribbed on the inside where it touches your skin so it rubs and is very irritating. The fabric in the cups is so thin it's almost see-through. Even though it is a leisure bra, I expected the fabric to be sturdier. I'm surprised at the rave reviews, I found this bra to be uncomfortable and flimsy. I wouldn't recommend this bra and won't buy any more. Phyllis from Exeter

I don't like this bra very much. It is very thin material providing little support. I understand it is a leisure bra but I thought the fabric would be more sturdy, it's really thin and flimsy. Also the color isn't true nude, but rather a yellowish tan color. But my main complaint is that the band, which is very thin, is ribbed with a pattern instead of being smooth, so it rubs and irritates against your skin. I'm surprised at the number of bras that have some kind of seam, ribbing or other rough material in the places where they are most likely to rub against skin and irritate. I will keep this one, but won't order an more of this model. Edwina from groobles

I'm nearly 9 months pregnant so ordered this bra for comfort & sleeping. I originally ordered a size smaller (42), but it was too snug, mostly in the cup area (42 in most other bras is too big for me, so you might want to order up). It is comfy enough, generally soft, although after I had worn it around the house for most of the day, the band was getting itchy. So, it's just okay for me, but it isn't expensive, so I'm fine with the purchase. Brooke from Walla Walla, WA

After developing a more matronly figure ten years ago, I hated buying bras, trying on one after another and never finding a truly comfortable fit. HerRoom has changed my entire outlook on bras. I followed the "HerRoom fitting" guide very closely and bought one sleep bra and one day bra - just to try. I was seriously impressed. Straight from the mail, both bras fit perfectly! The sleep bra is so comfortable, yet so supportive I was able to put on a robe and answer the door in confidence Sunday, when my daughter arrived early for Mother's Day. Roma from McKinney/TX/USA

This bra didn't work out for me. The band was tight as soon as I put it on, so I knew it wouldn't last through the day; the cups didn't provide much support at all. Since it's a front closure bra, I couldn't alleviate the tightness with a bra extender. I realize it wasn't designed to be worn as a "primary bra" but I would have been more comfortable going braless. I returned it. Eileen from Alexandria, VA

I've been looking for something comfortable that I could wear around the house - I found it!! As thin and elasticy as it is, it has really held the girls up well! I'm even able to wear it out shopping and it keeps me in place without the stiffness of padded bras and the "floppiness" of other soft fabric bras. My only complaint was the elastic band was still a bit tight even though I bought a size bigger than the chart indicated I needed and it rolled up underneath. Other than that, it has been my favorite bra to wear for the last 2 weeks! Dolly from Rancho Cucamonga, CA

This bra fits well and is appropriately supportive for wearing around the house. As a comfort/sleep bra, it leaves something to be desired. The devil really is in the details. First, the band is tight. Second, the elastic is rough and uncovered next to the skin. This two elements combine to result in serious irritation. Third, the seams, which you can see quite well in the picture, are huge and run right across the nipples, which is very, very irritating. The best solution I've found to the 2 and 3 problems is to wear the bra inside out - then the rough elastic is not directly against my skin, and the huge, irritating seams are not directly across my nipples. I wouldn't recommend this as a maternity bra for those reason. Jennifer from Chicago, IL

I ordered a larger size than I normally wear even though I lost weight because of heart surgery. But the first one was way too small and I returned it and the second one is still too small. But I don't think I will return it since it is too costly and time consuming. So my opinion is that their bras, at least this one, runs very small. I do like the style and it fit great except it was too, too small. Marji from Sanford, FL U.S.A.

Initially, this bra seemed good but after a while the bottom band keeps rolling up. I think my 36H chest is too large for this bra in spite of what the sizing information says. Maybe it's ok for sleeping but not for use during the day - at least not for me. I like the fabric but I think I need a low/medium impact sports bra with a little more hold instead. I'm in search of the perfect front-closure bra. This isn't it. For some reason no matter how soft the fabric is, once it's stitched at the very edges it's rough and the corner point is sharp. Maybe my skin is just ultra sensitive there, but if that's the case, why wouldn't regular bras irritate that area as well? I wish the manufacturers of front closure bras would include a really soft tab of some sort that would fold over that part after the bra is fastened. I have actually tucked under a cotton square there before which helped but there is no way to secure it. Otherwise, the bra fit well and seemed like it would be comfortable except for the problem I mentioned. But I must send it back since I would never wear it. Jill from Phoenix/AZ/USA

Very comfortable; no strap slippage. Could wish for a less stretchy fabric. Used to have 2 or 3 of these made with a satiny woven fiber, not a knit like these. It had better support but they seem to have discontinued that in my size. These are second best. Barb

Nice fabric, but again seems to be made for women with A cups that sprout out of their waists instead of chests. A very weird fit. I was really looking forward to these bras as I have just had neck surgery and need a front closure in order to get the bra on properly. I usually wear a 40D and have to adjust shoulder straps to very short because my boobs are pretty high on my chest. I guess that's not normal. Robin from Pennsylvania

I have had 4 bras like this in a different fabric (more like a nylon and not cotton) for 4 or 5 years. They are the most comfortable and I have been trying to find another front-close bra in that fabric to replace them. I have purchased and returned perhaps 2 dozen bras in this search. When I finally spotted this one, which was actually available in the size I needed, I was willing to try cotton. From the first time I put it on, it felt great. So good I ordered 4 more! I am not too happy with this bra. I only ordered it because the one I really wanted was on backorder. They actually ended up coming at the same time which was also disappointing. If I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it but I guess it is nice to have a backup. I ordered it specifically as a maternity bra. I have a hard time getting all the clasps closed. It is also a pretty gross color. It is pretty comfortable for around the house and I wore it out one day but as a large busted woman I wouldn't wear this bra out too often. heidi from NC

Its a very comfortable bra, but the seams running on the breast down the nipple were very painful. I was looking for a bra that would be supportive after my breast augmentation that opened/closed in the front and was a soft material; it is soft but the seams that ran down where my chest pushed and made lines in my breasts and its definitely not what I was looking for. As my surgery date to repair my shoulder neared, I was in a desperate search to find front closing bras that would not only fit me well and be comfortable, but I had to be able to put it on with 1 hand. I already had shopped the B&M stores with no success. A google search lead me to HerRoom and I was able to find several choices that appeared to meet my needs. My order was split, but fortunately I received the Leading Lady Sleep Bras prior to my surgery. The fit is perfect, which is hard to find for women who are DD's and the comfort is amazing, so I am not trying to take it off after 30 minutes. My only wish is that it could be redesigned with less hooks. I had shoulder rotator cuff repair and my arm is immobilized for the next 2 months. Fit and comfort are huge needs, but so is the need to easily put it on/take it off. Morgan from Lake Charles

This is the most comfortable bra I've ever worn! I've got very large breasts: around 40FF. And I loathe bras. They yank my boobs up and out like a book shelf. Or they shove them into my armpits so I can't put my arms down at my sides. I have to re-adjust myself constantly just so my nipples are pointing the right direction. They make it so I can't breathe fully. The wires poke little holes in the front center of my t-shirts, and have given me permanent soreness on my rib cage. And wirefree bras have sixty three seams showing through your shirt. Or shape me into enormous torpedoes. Not so this bra! It gently guides my boobs up to a normal height, and they sit there wonderfully happy and comfortable. The back fits like a sports bra, and it stays put. And remarkably, the 8 front hooks don't poke into my t-shirts. This bra is amazing! Someone should bronze it and put it in a museum! Kristen from Nutley, NJ

Very comfortable, seems true to size. I have rheumatoid arthritis with recent hand surgery and was looking for something easy to fasten in the front. This is not really easy to hook semi one handed, but once it's on it's comfortable. I would purchase again, but maybe not after hand surgery! jerbear from Whitefish, MT

Very comfy bra - I bought this to wear around the house and while sleeping. Soft material. The only thing I did not care for is the seam that is right under the breast in the cup - it left a big indent. So I am going to try to wear it inside out. Denise S. from CA

I was disappointed with the color; it looks nothing like the color on the site. I ordered ecru, which I thought from the swatch on the site would be a sort of Caucasian flesh/nude color. It's actually a very light yellow that matches no human skin tone I have ever seen. Why would they make it in yellow but not in nude? Perplexing. Comfort is pretty good, though. Design is a little ugly; bra takes up a lot of "surface area" so it's hard to wear under anything even slightly low cut. Alex

This ran small in the band, but the cup was fine. I think I would have needed to go up two band sizes from my norm to make it fit. Not worth it, since the bra was also cut too high up under the arms and not soft at all. Disappointed.

Leading Lady Response: 110 is cut for an average size, so since you are petite, it could be too high under the arm but the fabric has always had a soft hand. We fit 34's, 38's, 40's and 42's to determine band size, and haven't heard this before. Chloe from USA

Quality workmanship. The sizing is a little strange. I ordered this for a much older family member and then found that she could not use it (too tight), even though she is a size 42C. I think it may be her age and osteoporosis that has changed the shape across the her back. I could have returned the product, but found that it fit me instead, so I didn't return it. I have never used a front closing bra before, but have found that this one is extremely comfortable. Now, I still have to find a bra for my older family member...will have to do that in stores where she can try stuff on in person. ES from Tucson, AZ, USA

I did not like this item at all. It is unwearable. It is very flimsy, has no support whatsoever, and--finally--is a front-closure bra which I would never have ordered had I realized it. Not only that, but the closure is not adjustable, and it uses Velcro of all things. Hardly appropriate or useful for a "mature" figure.

Leading Lady Response: Style 110 does not have velcro on it, so this can't be our #110. Bonnie from Faimon

I'm confused. One commenter complained that this bra didn't work as a maternity bra, and Her Room said it is not a maternity bra.

I specifically sorted by maternity bras, and this bra IS in the maternity bra category. It appears that there are a number of non-maternity bras in the maternity category.

HerRoom Response: Our comment was that this is not a "nursing" bra. There is a difference between nursing bras and maternity bras. We would consider this a maternity bra option. Jennifer from Dallas, TX

I was very disappointed with this bra and will be returning it. I found the number of clasps simply too much work to get in and out of for nursing and also found that the size ran small. Perhaps this would be better as a non-nursing sleep or maternity bra - but not good for nursing.

HerRoom Response: This bra is a sleep and/or leisure bra. It is not designed to be a nursing bra. Tammy from Somerset/NJ/USA

At my height it rides up in back, as another reviewer mentioned. I got the C/D/E and am a C and it barely fits, so would say it runs small. I would prefer if the elastic under the cups hit lower--this may also be a height issue--it rides up underneath my breasts.

Leading Lady Response: Avg is 5'6" so shouldn't be riding up. Our experience with this bra for over 15 years is that it doesn't run small. Paula from Dexter MI

The vertical seams on the cups of this bra are very uncomfortable after even a short time wearing.

I love this bra and am about to order 2 more! I usually wear a 34DDD and got the 36F to accommodate my pregnancy body. I often find it hard to find a bra that gives you support and doesn't dig into your shoulders. This one doesn't give you the perfect lift but it also does not leave you hanging-it is perfect for night wear and low-impact days. It didn't leave me with the usual spillage I get with a lot of cups. The front clasps are easy to fasten and the shoulder pads are perfect-no digging or bruising. I don't usually write reviews but I loved this bra too much to not write one! Primrose from Maryland

Soo comfortable. I bought this one size larger than I usually wear bc i wanted a slightly looser fit for sleeping. I would wear the bra in my usual size all the time except that the bra doesn't work very well under most blouses. I wear a 36D underwire. Visiting a friend in the hospital, I decided it might be a good idea if I had a sleep bra which could be closed from the front and offered modesty without overmuch restriction. It fits well, and is flattering for wearing around the house. I am thinking I might like to go up a band size for a looser fit (this size fits like a 36 on the snuggest eyelets). I specifically wanted this bra to keep in my "just-in-case-hospital-bag" and do not intend that it serve as an everyday workhorse bra. I like that it is cotton. Nancy from Southern California

This bra works for when I am home alone (or with only my husband) and want a little more support than going without a bra, but I would not be able to wear it with anyone else around. Since there is no adjustment on the shoulder straps, the bra is really too short for me (I'm about 5'10"), which causes the back to ride up and the darts to come to prominent points way too high in the front. The darts clearly show through just about any shirt I put on over the bra. Also, I measured as needing a 44F, which should be on the small end of this bra size's range, but I don't think it would fit if I were any larger. Again, it works for when I'm on my own at home, so I decided to keep it, but I don't think I'll order another bra that doesn't have any adjustment for length over the shoulders. Sarah from Texas

I was looking for something to wear around the house, and possibly when doing yard work. This bra works, but would be much better if it were actually big enough. I wear an H cup in regular bras, and this one is stretched to the absolute limit in the cups, while squishing "the girls" into a uniboob. I will continue looking for a casual leisure-type bra.

Leading Lady Response: Perhaps you are using the bra beyond its reach. There may not be enough fabric and a larger size may be needed. Fits as high as it gets and is at the top of the size range. A size 38 F/G/H may work better and/or try Leading Lady 151 which has more stretch in the fabric. Dana from Griffin, GA

All cotton garments are kind of a must when you are a welder, and it's nearly impossible to find one that is not only cotton, but comfortable as all get out. I also really like: 1. front closure (i have carpal tunnel and it's hard to reach around back) 2. full coverage so there is no "spillage" when I bend over, but not so high up that it gets too hot around the neck or strangles my collar bone 3. real support in the stretchy, non-padded (thank God!) cups for "the girls" and 4. real support for the customers like me from HerRoom. I had to exchange my first one and the exchange process was totally painless and free. THANK YOU!! Julia from Laurel, MD USA

I love these bras. This is my 3rd. Hope they don't ever discontinue them. Front hooks make it easy to put on. Cotton knit is comfy. High sides in back mean a smoother line. The only downside is that cotton is less durable, and will fade. It's worth it - I'll just reorder. MJ from Tucson, AZ

Not bad for a sleep and leisure bra. It is comfortable and works for my purposes, but there is no support on the sides, so while the girls are lifted they tend to spread around the side of my body. This is not an attractive look. I'll use the bra for around the house when I don't want to be too floppy, but I would never go out in public with this bra on. Michelle from California

Sizing is misleading if you're told that a DDD=E. In this brand I should've ordered FGH, NOT CDE. That's the only reason I gave this 3 stars. It's smooshes me too much otherwise it'd be GREAT! Will see if I can get correct size. Will be perfect for sleeping or leisure. REMEMBER before ordering bras, make sure the European sizes and American size match as they equal out differently for the different brands. I'll definitely order again! Thanx! S

I was pleasantly surprised about how well this bra fit. When I first took it out of the packaging, it appeared small....but when I put it on, it stretched-out wonderfully and still supported my 36H breasts!!! Very very comfortable.....The only downside was that when I went on a walk, my chest bounced a little too much. So I would say that the support is pretty good until you start doing some activity that could cause 'bouncing'. GREAT bra to wear when sleeping. Diane from Port Orchard, WA, USA

Fits great & totally helps as a sleep bra. As I'm toward the smaller end of this size range, it may be a bit tight for someone on the higher end of the sizes. Denise from Castle Rock, CO

I bought two of these bras due to my upcoming breast radiation treatment, and was very pleased with the comfort and serviceability. I only wish I had them before they even took the first biopsy! These should be recommended to all women facing biopsy and possible cancer treatment! The 24 hour comfort is amazing. lylene from Indianapolis, IN

I was hoping to love this item as I need something to wear when I don't really want to wear a bra while I'm home, but this was a no go. It dug in where the hooks are and left bright red marks. MeanMom from Swarthmore, PA

This is very comfortable and a nice option for weekends. I also like it for sleeping sometimes. I once had the nylon blend version that I did NOT like, but this is mostly cotton and is cool and comfy. Evan

This bra works great! After my open heart surgery, and the stiches in the sternum were removed, this bra is comfortable enough to wear all the time. I needed a bra to keep the weight off the wound, so it would heal better, doctors orders. This bra was the only one that worked out of many researched! Definitely worth every penny! The only bra I've ever been comfortable enough to sleep in. I was also skeptical that the cup size stretched as much as it said, but it was a perfect fit, which is rare for me. The only down side is that they are so comfortable I wish I could wear them all day! Erica from TX

This bra is very comfortable and offers the support I was looking for in a sleep bra. I bought my first two to use while I was nursing my babies. It is much more comfortable than the nursing bras I was trying to wear to bed. The hooks were a bit tricky at first, but I quickly got the hang of it. Now, with my children older,I wear these bras when I am in my pajamas and want to have support. D. from Southeast, North Carolina, USA

The size is incorrectly labeled. It said 36CDE but would actually be 36 "C" "D" "DD", because "E" refers to "DDD". I had to send it back and will hopefully receive the correct size.

HerRoom Response: Many brands size C, D, E. A size E varies among brands. Jessica from Farmingville NY USA

I have worn this for a few weeks now. It is comfortable and the pink color makes it feel unique. I don't see very many "sleep bras" so I was very happy to finally find one. The four hooks in front are easy to work and offer a nice division between breasts. I am usually a D cup and feel compressed almost too much in this. I can't imagine an E cup would be happy being more compressed than me. It is supposed to fit 3 different cup sizes, but I think that's stretching it a bit, no pun intended! Karen from Omaha

Perfect sleep bra. Very comfortable. I'm a 34DD and it's great for sleeping and leisure. I wouldn't wear it out and about, but for sleeping it's perfect. The cotton is very comfy and doesn't get hot during the night. The seams don't bother me at all. The hooks don't either - I just pull it on over my head. I'm very happy to have found this sleep bra! I bought this bra to wear at night while nursing my infant son. I need to have just a little support, be comfortable to sleep and be able to get my breast out easily and quickly. Unfortunately this bra only fulfilled the first two criteria.

Prior to buying this bra, I was wearing regular nursing bras to bed which was uncomfortable. With this one the comfort is there, but it is very difficult to get my breast out without having some pinching which could cause problems with milk flow or plugged ducts. I tried just unhooking the front down to the last couple of hooks and that worked perfectly except after only two nights, one of the hooks fell out!

I know this bra wasn't advertised as a nursing bra, so I probably don't have any room to complain, but I KNOW that all nursing moms out there are looking for something like this to sleep in for the reasons I stated above. Nursing breasts require a little extra tlc. I have found sleep bras similar to this in maternity stores however they are so flimsy and not meant for large breasts like mine. I thought I had finally found what I needed in this bra, but will have to put up with what I have or keep looking. Seems like bra manufacturers would be jumping all over making a bra like this so I am really confused about why they aren't readily available. Jennifer from Lafayette, IN

When I get home from work, I like to putter around the house in soft, comfy clothes, but I really wanted some light support. This bra is perfect. It offers more support than I expected it to, but unlike a bra with an underwire, I'm perfectly comfortable lounging around the house in it. I will be ordering more. Diana from Kansas

Hi! I received my slumber bra on Friday -- pretty fast turn around on an order. I enjoyed almost instant gratification. The bra is so comfortable; and it wasn't necessary to keep arranging my breasts when turning over at night. I almost didn't want to take it off to shower the next morning. Also, I know you have to remind people to wear their panties when they try on swimsuits and other lower underwear items, but the "Please wear yours when trying on ours." enclosure was funny and got the point across. It goes in my scrape book. Thanks again for speedy service and a great bra. -- Mele from CA

I'm big busted (a 34H) and I was looking for a bra that I could wear as part of my sleepwear. This bra was perfect for this purpose. It provides minimal support, but enough that I can hang around the house in pj's without a total lack of support. I'm very happy with it. The only problem is the seven hooks are a bit tricky to hook up at times. Deserae from Utah

The most comfortable bra I ever wore. I recently had a breast reduction and this is great...I sleep in it...I wear it to work. I would not recommend using it work out in. I like how the bra stretched to accommodate swelling after surgery however, I do not like the seams on the bra cups. They are very irritating to sensitive skin especially after surgery. I like the front closure. MaryAnn from Huntingdon valley,PA, USA

Surprisingly good shape and support for a leisure bra which is so soft and comfortable. I am a 34DD and bought a 34CDE. I can now wear my pajamas in front of others in confidence, and keep the bra on all night in full comfort. I am even wearing it on weekends and at home. It shapes almost like a regular bra, and feels like heaven! I plan to order more.
