Huge disappointment. Previously I had purchased this item from retail stores in size 2 Black in past years. But since these stores no longer carry this item, or do not have it in size 2, it seemed like a good idea to order it from Her Room. Unfortunately, the vendor, who Her Room purchases these from has no quality control standard to ensure that the size of the items put into the package marked "Size 2" actually are the size stated on the package. And, within each of these packages of 2 pairs, or 4 single knee high stockings (socks), almost never are two knee high stockings the same length. I ordered only size 2 - M/L - Medium/Large. This stocking material stretches, but when the length is short or small - meaning it is actually a size 1 - it is too small for my shoe size 8 medium feet and only goes about half way up my calf. A knee-hi should go above the calf and end under the knee, as shown in its illustration. Out of the 12 packages of 2 pairs each, or a total of 24 pairs I ordered, only 3.5 pairs or 7 knee-hi's were a size 2 length. 15 pairs were a size 1 length. The remainder were varying lengths between a size 1 small and what I am labeling a 1.5 - too short to be a size 2 but a little longer than a size 1. The manufacturer of these knee-hi stockings must have defective equipment and/or also no quality control standards because they have great difficulty making a consistent size 2 length. It is very frustrating that the vendor advertises a size 2 in black, but of the 24 pairs I purchased only 3.5 pairs or 14.6% were actually a size 2. Therefore, the vendor sent 20.5 or 85.4% defective pairs to me. It is unfair to me, as a consumer, to have items advertised as a size 2, but most of these items are not the size advertised.
The knee highs are packaged by machine, so the wrong size getting packaged is a possibility but definitely should not happen with this type of frequency. Thank for bringing this to our attention.
