There are a few problems I see with this item: 1.) It's next to impossible to put on by yourself. 2.) The back support runs small. This okay for me because when I have it tight it helps me with back support. My husband tells me to reach my arms up and puts it on as tight a hook as possible. 3.) The cups are too small. I don't think they run small; I'm just especially "gifted." It would have been nice on a larger size. That being said, this is the only product I've found that even comes close to letting me wear the bridesmaid dress my mom bought for her wedding and I like that there are optional straps included. The versatility of this product is great. As long as its not an every day, I think it will work out.

Goddess Response: We usually recommend you go up a band size and down a cup size in this style: If you feel you really do need a bigger band and cup, perhaps try a 40FF. Going up a band size, and keeping the cup size the same will give you an extra cup if you need it. Solange from Cincinnati, OH

this fits beautifully.. I followed the special fitting instructions and am so glad I did. The only thing I don't like about this particular product is the length. It would be nice to have it just a bit longer so you don't get the pooch at the bottom. Angie from U.P Michigan

I was pretty comfortable in this bra considering how long I had to be in it. I wore in under my outfit for my daughter's wedding. It gave me great support and shape. I am glad that they suggested to order one size larger around and one cup size smaller. Work out perfectly. I received it in just a few days. Deborah from Castle Rock, CO

I wasn't sure what to expect but this bra worked wonderfully. I am a heavy set, large breasted woman and this bra performed wonderfully! I was part of a wedding and had to wear a strapless dress, not something i normally wear. This bra not only kept "the girls" up but it stayed in place all night! I would recommend this bra to any woman! I might even consider wear strapless tops now! Candice P. from Franklin, NC usa

I am satisfied with the fit of the Goddess Bra I ordered. It was shipped right away. The tip of going up band size and down cup was a good suggestion. Mia from Hinesville, Georgia

Can't wear the bra if your sitting down! The wires poked my ribs and pushed my boobs up to my chin!! And when you stand up, it made my boobs look pointy! NoT recommended!!!!

Goddess Response: Not every shape or style works for every body. Goddess 689 features light boning in the body to define and shape your silhouette, and it also has light boning in the cups for super shaping and support. Is it possible you ordered an incorrect size? Goddess 689 is a very “specific” fit, so it must be absolutely the right size to be comfortable, and to work for you. We recommend going up one or even two band sizes, and then down one or two cup sizes in this style. Very often the cups will appear ‘pointy’ when the cups are too small, and also when the cups are too large. And then most importantly don’t forget to adjust your breast tissue into the cups properly as this will make all the difference in how a bra fits. Please refer to Tomima’s 3 Steps to a Fabulous Fit for a few helpful hints. Mayco from costa Mesa, ca

It made my boobs look pointy. I felt like Madonna. The cup fit & the fit around was good though. Kim from Roseville, Ca

Very supportive, though a bit hard to get on if you're putting it on yourself! The only thing that I don't like it how high the cups cover - it makes it hard to wear strapless because the top of the cups would show out the top. Chelsea from Hyattsville, MD, USA

It was great. I really appreciated HerRoom getting it to me in one day. I was in a wedding and the bra I originally had was not working this was perfect. The Bra came 2.5 hours before the start of the wedding great save and excellent fit. LB from Buffalo,NY

Size was way too big!

Goddess Response: Kelly, you don’t say what was too big –the cup or the band –so it’s difficult to offer advice…. We usually recommend going up in the band in this style (one, or even two band sizes) and then down in the cup, one or even two cup sizes… But most importantly, don’t forget to swoop and scoop your breast tissue into the cups properly, as this will make all the difference in how a bra fits. After trying several other higher priced strapless bras and waist cinchers I've concluded that this is the most comfortable and does the best job of supporting my middle-aged and past-perky breasts. I hook the fasteners first and then step in and yank up. The garment seems well-made enough to handle this. Much prettier than spanx-type slimmers and more comfortable too. Pamela from Turners Falls

Glad to find a strapless bra that doesn't slip down. Although the cups are a funky shape, like another reviewer said, kind of pointy. Deb from FRG, IL

I love this bra. I was skeptical about it. But I am glad I ordered it. It looks good just a bit bigger around my waist. The cap size is fabulous so I will just do alteration on the side. I love it, because I can wear this with confidence that my boobs will not be popping out. Perpetual from Houston, TX, USA

I like the bra. The band fits well. I couldn't go down a cup size as they recommended because they didn't make it so the cup is too big but it's being tailored. It fits nicely under my wedding dress and make it have a nice shape. Shipping was prompt. Austen from Denver/CO/USA

I ordered and sent back 4 of these and could not get the correct size. I followed the guidelines but could not find a size that fit properly.

Goddess Response: 689 has its own passionately loyal fan club, but as you know it’s absolutely essential to find the correct size in every bra. We suggest going up one or even two band sizes, and then down one or two cup sizes in this style. And then most importantly don’t forget to adjust your breast tissue into the cups properly: This will make all the difference in how the bra fits! Fits nice. The first strapless bra i've been able to find in my size. The only bad thing is the first time i wore it one of the ribs already poked a hole in the material and started slipping out. Previous recommendation of ordering one band size up and one cup size down was right on. rylie from Texas

I am typically a 38F so I was very weary about following the guidelines of ordering up a band size down a cup size (40DD) but it was a perfect fit! I have never before found a strapless bra, even a longline bra, that would hold me up sufficiently but WOW this one is awesome!! Tried it on under my wedding dress and love the way I look! It trimmed my waist and lifted and separated so it wasn't lumpy. It was a little looser than I expected it to be around the middle (meaning I could actually breathe and move) but it didn't need to be tighter to hold me up -- being comfortable is a bonus!! It does look a little funny by itself (torpedoes!) but being held in by the dress makes them look good and rounded. A+++! Highly recommended and will pass this on to friends! Supports better than most bras WITH straps! Jennifer from Arizona

It fit fine but the top of the bra was round. My dress was strapless and the tops of the bra did pop out occasionally. So I would have preferred the bra to be cut straight across. Maybe the next bra you design will have that feature. Mary Ann from Brooklyn, N.Y.

The girls do not move in this bra! I don't have to go around all day tugging everything back into place, which is awesome. I usually wear a 34DDD or E, but I followed the advice listed about sizing and bought a 36DD. I am worried that if I lose any weight (I fluctuate a lot) it may begin to slip, but we shall see. I also noticed that this gives me a bit of cone-boob, but it actually looks pretty good under my dresses. I definitely recommend! Nikki from Tennessee

Usually love goddess bras, but this was mostly useless. I'm returning it because it had very little support. You do need to go up at least a band size, I'm usually a 44 and the 48 was a bit big, just be sure to compensate by going down one cup size for each band size you go up.

Goddess Response: 689 is one of the most supportive bras we make. It’s built for the ultimate in support and shaping, featuring light boning in both the cups and the body of the bustier. However, even the best bra in the world can’t do its job if the size is incorrect. As you’ve discovered, most of the support should be provided by the body of the bra, so it’s vital that the band is snug enough around the torso. It could also be you need a larger cup size to give you the fit and support you’re looking for. You might try Elomi 1231, a bustier in our Elomi brand. It offers seam-free cups, for a lovely smooth look under clothing, and it gives you two more cup sizes in a 44 band than 689. Remember, Elomi is UK-sized (please refer to size comparison chart). I would recommend a 44G in this style, as there’s no need to go up in the band. Katherine from Boston, MA

For the most part I am happy with the bra, it offers great strapless sport for my large breast. My only complaint is that the boning started popping through the lace after wearing the garment a few times. Shayla from Hampton/Va/U.S

This bra is perfect. The advice to order up a band size and down a cup size was right on. I was getting upset over not finding a bra for a halter dress I'm wearing for an event, but HerRoom saved me! I have told many friends about this site. Pamela from Pennsylvania
