Really like this bra. I live in the "sultry" South, and the lightweight fabric is cool while being very supportive. Susan from Fairhope

After using the bra fit quiz this was one of the recommended bras for my physique. It is so comfortable that I’m not tugging it off the minute I get home. I went up a cup size down a band size and I finally have a bra which fits properly and stays in place and that makes all the difference. I’ve since ordered a similar one from Elomi and am happy with that one as well. Susan from New York

This bra fit well, and I love that it is bandless under the cups. I didn't end up keeping it because I don't love the pattern on the top of the cups, as it shows through thinner tops. I had ordered additional Elomi bras and went with those instead. Jenn from Columbia, SC

Runs very small. Being pregnant I sized up in band & cup size, but when it came it was way too tight. Even after 6 months of wearing the band still digs into my sides and I can only wear for so long. Overall, I am pleased with the support and shape of the cups. But wished it was true to size.

The bra I purchased was not true to size. I ordered a 42F on the chart it said "F" in USA is "G", so i was thinking ok it may be a little bigger, but I could work with that. I received it, took it out the packaging and instantly knew it was too small. I put it up to me anyway and of course I was right.

Elomi Response: If you love the look and support of Etta but find the cups too shallow, you can always go up a cup size and order a 42FF. If you would like to try an Elomi bra that typically runs deeper in the cup, then we suggest trying the Elomi Cate (EL4030). Cate is a best seller, and provides ample cup coverage and side support! I usually have a tough time figuring out the right bra to get. I went to a specialty store and got fitted, but the bra I ended up with pokes out in the front middle when it should lay flat against my breastbone. The sales associate said it was the characteristic of that bra brand. I was very unhappy with it after a few weeks, so I went to HerRoom. Because of the descrlptions and reviews, as well as the price, I ordered the Elomi bandless bra. I am very happy with it. It lays better and supports me almost comfortably. The band seems to run small, but I am sticking with it since I just joined a gym, hoping to lose some weight around my back. Even though the band size is tight (I have it on the loosest hooks) it is still much better than what I was wearing and VERY supportive! AndreeT from New Hampshire

This is the best fit I have found in a bra so far. I am short wasted and have very large breasts so underwire is usually terribly uncomfortable. The low rise under the arms of this bra makes this one work perfectly. Cynthia from 98125

The size fits and I like that you can convert the back of the bra; however, the material could be MUCH more comfortable! It is somewhat stiff and scratchy (even after washing) and the same goes for the lace trim on the bra.

Elomi Response: Although we don’t ordinarily recommend using a fabric softener, it does hasten the softening process. If you like the shape and support of Etta, you may consider trying the Elomi Tia EL4280. This style is based on the Etta frame, and features supple galloon lace that is soft on the skin. This bra fits very well for me. I like the no band construction and shape of the cups. The bra gives me a good shape under my clothes. My issue is that it is scratchy. After I have worn it part of a day, I want to to take off because it itches. I do have very sensitive skin. I have washed it a couple of times... Hoping with time it will be better.

LOVE this bra!! No smooshing, squishing, pinching. Just plain comfort, and perfect shaping (which is not the norm with large cup sizes). The cup size is perfect for me with no overflow, and great shape /separation looks normal & natural! This bra is very supportive you don't have to worry about any jiggle OR spill/double boob, only thing is that the underwire does dig into your ribs after awhile and it doesn't give the breast forward look that I like, they set more far apart, other than that "Great Purchase". Kiara from MD

I am a small person with large breasts. I have put on 10 pounds and gone up in cup size. This bra is wonderful. At this size, cups tend to be too high under my arm or around my side. I am still a 34...just bigger breasts. This bra is a concentration of cup size. My breast falls in nicely, no spillage, and looks great under clothes. For me perfect. Kathleen from Massachusetts

I love this bra! One of the most frustrating aspects about wearing a bra is the extra fabric under the bust. So, the "bandless" style of this one is perfect! Also, it fit tighter, so I am glad I ordered up a band size. The J-hooks that covert this bra to a racer back are an awesome addition. The center piece is about middling height; it's not too high but not a complete plunge. The fabric might be a bit scratchy for some, but I don't mind it. CBisme

I've been wearing Elomi Etta for several years and have loved this bra. The fabric is very sturdy and non-stretchy which is a plus for me. The band is nice and tight and doesn't get stretched out during the day. The center gore, while not as low as I'd prefer, isn't overly tall like some bras I've tried. The center gore is not solid so it lets air circulate between my close-set breasts. Since I last brought this bra, I've put on weight and my breasts are larger, too, so I had to increase to 40JJ. The 40JJ band and cup volume fit me great but now the sides are too tall and very uncomfortable. Sadly, I can no longer wear this bra. I also have Etta in 38JJ. While the sides are low enough for me in this size, the band is tighter and the cups are much snugger (so snug it hurts) compared to the same size in Elomi Nina, Elomi Carmen & Elomi Morgan. I am now wearing these other three styles with Nina being my favorite. Even though this bra no longer works for my new size, I have loved it for years. If the gore was lower & narrower, the straps were a little closer together, and it came in more colors I would have given it 5 stars. Darlene from Bellefonte, PA, USA

I have purchased and worn many Elomi bras. This is the only one that fit so poorly. The bra was too tight, cups did not fit properly, and it was very difficult for me to remove it. Too bad I wasted my money. Now I have to save again for a new bra.

Cups run a bit small. I've worn a 34GG in other Elomi products, but this one was just a bit snug. VERY happy with the 34H! Ordered bras in both nude and black. This is as close to a smooth t-shirt bra WITH great support as you're going to get! Just order up a cup size... Teresa from Michigan

Band fit true to size. Cups seemed to run a bit small. I'm going to reorder but going up a cup size to see if this bra will work. Seems to have smoother cups than the Cate / Caitlyn bras that I've already purchased. Looking for a good SMOOTH t-shirt bra...

This bra fit well, but after having it for 2 months the wire is coming out of the side. I washed it by hand so it was not over washed or over used.

Elomi Response: It is very important to rotate your bras, especially if you are larger than a D cup. It is best to have at least 7 bras in your wardrobe to rotate through so your bras have optimal time to rest. Please check out HerRoom's Lingerie Wardrobe Guide for additional advice. Absolutely LOVE this bra! First time for bandless, my go-to now. Other Elomi this size don't fit well: underwires come all the way to my back, & don't contain my breasts. I wanted a bra that was secure, modest, & a racerback/convertible. Two out of three ain't bad. I work with school-age kids so I've got to be comfortable, covered up, & I don't have time to worry about the way my bra does its job. This bra keeps my breasts where they belong. I don't pull at the straps or readjust the band throughout my hectic day. The bra is unpadded, so I have a set of washable pads that I can slip into each cup for those moments where I may look "cold." Unfortunately, I'm still searching for a comfortable racerback/convertible bra. I found the j-hook impossible to fasten unless you're a contortionist and you hook it first & then slip it over your head, which is ridiculous & painful...if I wanted a pullover bra, I would have bought one. There needs to be more length to the straps to make the bra comfortable as a convertible because the band at the curve of the straps puckered out so badly that it will never look smooth under any shirt, ever. The designers need to go back to the drawing board in that respect. Keep at it...once thats figured out, I'll never buy any other bra. For now I'm still looking. Kathryn from Seattle, WA

I wear Elomi brand almost exclusively. I have lost some weight so I have been trying to figure out my new size. After a couple of sizes and brands I have settled on Elomi's ina 36FF size. This model in the 36G was a bit uncomfortable as the underwires rubbed against my arms.

Decent bra- really only kept it for the converter option. It doesn't give as much support for a larger cup and kind of squishes them down to a weird shape.

This is a very nicely made convertible bra. Usually when switching to a different strap configuration you have to un-do straps and hopefully get everything put back into place correctly to avoid a mishap while wearing, but this one has an ingenious little hook on one strap that connects with an eye on the other strap to easily create a racer-back. Very smart! Deanne from Florida

Elomi bras are incredible! Bra shopping has always been terrible for me as my weight tends to fluctuate and many stores do not carry plus size bras. I used the KYB bra finder and all of the tools Her Room provides to find the perfect fitting bra. Previously, I purchased a 44FF in another Elomi style and it is great, but I wanted to try the suggestion of going down a band size and up a cup size. My twins have never looked better and I look ten pounds lighter! The j-hook is fantastic and now I can wear racerback styles without feeling forever frumpy. Dana from Portland, OR

This was a re-order for me. I have had it in black and nude both were in need of replacement. I need a bra that is 'short in the wire' as I am short waisted and this one works well enough, but not as flat in the cleavage as others I was able to get this time around. It is quite comfortable as I found all Elomi to be for me. NikiR from Dallas, Tx

Band was too small - considering sizing up to a 40...

elomi Response: Kendra, all styles have fit nuances that are slightly different, depending on the frame and fabrication used, so it's a good idea to be flexible about your size. This bra was not quite as comfortable as I had hoped. It seemed to run a bit smaller making it somewhat constrictive after wearing it throughout the day.

elomi Response: Diane, it's difficult to advise, as you don't mention what you're comparing this style to, and what felt small, the cups or the band. Fortunately Elomi offers so many sizes in all styles, it's easy to go up or down in the cup and the band to find your perfect size. Please refer to Tomima’s Fit Guide to help you. LOVE this bra! I have 3 of them (2 nude and 1 black) and hope they never discontinue them. Since I am short, 5'2", and curvy with a bit of a belly, the bandless style is perfect and comfortable. The underwire curves to the back so that it doesn't press into my armpit. I love the J-hook in the back, I wish every single bra came with this option. It takes the stress off my shoulders and neck and I have fewer headaches and less neck and back pain. The shape is smooth and rounded and not matronly, which is frequently a problem in larger sizes. I find that Elomi bands run big, so I go down a band size and up a cup size and the fit is perfect. LGPA from Phoenix, AZ, USA

I looked at the bra and its tag several times before trying it on. Next to my other elomi bras, it just looked small. it felt and looked over 1/2 cup small- overboob bulged at the top edge, and the center was well off of my sternum. In comparison, elomi's Betty, Louisa, Maggie, and Rita all fit me beautifully.

Elomi Response: Etta should fit the same as the styles you've mentioned, but as you know, there are nuances to every style. They will all fit you in a slightly different way, therefore it's important to be flexible about your size as it will vary from brand to brand, and from style to style. It's much like buying a pair of jeans. You might simply have to go up a cup in Etta. Lee from Springfield VA

This bra is amazing! The shaping is wonderful and it's very comfortable. I'm a 40J in most other brands, but Elomi bands run big on me, so I size down a band and up a cup and it's perfect. Being petite and large breasted, it's soooo hard to find the right bra. This doesn't poke me in the armpit or press into my ribs uncomfortably. I'm so in love with the J-hook in the back that allows me to convert this. It's expanded my wardrobe options considerably! Buy this bra! I hope Elomi makes this bra forever! Regina from Phoenix, AZ

This bra is way too small for the size they say it is. Order at least one size bigger.

Elomi Response: Joyce - Thank you for trying Elomi Etta, EL8840 in 36D10. Please refer to the HerRoom video on "How to Measure for a Bra" to help determine your correct band and cup size. Another Elomi style to consider is elomi Cate Underwire Full Cup Banded Bra EL4030 in 36D10. Cate is a fuller coverage bra that might be better suited for your breast tissue. Came across the Etta and it fits perfectly. So comfortable just the right amount of balance in construction, not too sturdy but not too flimsy either and the wires don't poke me. It just sit's right when wearing. This bra holds my breasts without molding them like some and the underarm sides don't come up too high. The straps are good and stay put, but don't dig in etc. The wires/front don't push too hard on my breast bone either unlike some, as I mark/pain very easily so I'm always mindful when trying bra's out. The design is great with colors and fabric. Must admit this bra is just so comfortable that I can wear it all day without any issues. But, in a nutshell this bra does more than what it says on the packet and get's a perfect 10 from me, because it's not too expensive, provides great support, and washes well (handwash only). Looks great! DDtop from London, UK

Elomi EL 8840...Most comfortable bra I have worn in years. Perfect separation.Center wires actually rested on breastbone. No poke under arms. Serious uplift. Fit was so good there was actually NO pressure at shoulder straps. Sadly this bra's cups are so "torpedo" shaped that it is unwearable in public.... by me. May work for a taller, longer armed woman. Took away 1 star from this great bra because I am very disappointed. Auntie Fran from Chicago,IL,US

Not my style. I prefer bras that lift and push together. Creates a slimming effect. This bra, while it fit, pushes them wide and to the side.. Also flattens them a tad. I really wanted to like this bra. It looks nice and is convertible, but it just wasn't comfortable. The fabric was scratchy and the underwires were uncomfortable. I'm not sure why -- almost like they were the wrong shape.

Elomi Response: Thank you for trying Elomi Etta, EL8840. This style is a top seller in the Elomi assortment and perfect for a petite frame. Washing the garment prior to wearing it will soften the fabric. The underwire placement on the side should rest on the bone not in soft breast tissue. An alternate multiway and very supportive style to consider is Elomi's Rita Underwire Multiway Banded Bra. In addition, please refer to the HerRoom section on Bra Fitting Center to ensure you're selecting the correct band and cup size! Julie from Colorado

After a long search for a bra model that fit, I settled on the elomi Etta (EL8840). I tried on different sizes, and kept a 36J and sister size 38HH. My underbust measurement is between 34-35" depending on how tight I pull the measuring tape. (Full bust is 46".) I found that while on the loosest settings, the 36 band was initially too tight and the 38 band was too loose but the cups on both fit great. I kept both sister sizes to test because I liked how the bra separated and supported my breasts. After several wearings, both bands loosened. The 36 band is now perfectly comfortable on the loosest setting. The Etta seems to be well made and sturdy. I personally find the wires on the sides of this bra about 1" too tall. The side wires dig into my flesh and push the bra down my sides. I have gently bent the wires at the sides away from my body and it has helped a lot but still isn't perfect for my particular body shape. . . but is the only bra that I found that came close to working for me. I also find the wires a little too wide for my breast base. I like that there's an open area in the bra between the breasts. I feel that this helps with air circulation for my close-set breasts. I'm glad to have found a bra that will hold my breasts in place and take the strain off of my neck, shoulders and back. I have decided to order more Etta bras in 36J because once worn a few times, the band is a perfect fit. Darlene from central Pennsylvania

A bra in my size with a "J" hook, unheard of. I love, love, love my bra! A 32H would have probably worked better, but for now this 34H rocks. I'll see how much the band stretches over time, and perhaps a 32H may be an option the next time. Can hardly wait to try out the "J" hooks with my racer back tops. Sissum from Anchorage AK

Being a bigger size cup, it is extremely difficult to find a bra that is supportive while giving good shape. This piece looks great under clothes! The only negative is the material is a bit coarse. This bra is so comfortable! I usually have a problem with the wire poking me in my side near my armpit...Not a problem with this bra. I can wear it all day and never have to adjust it. My breasts are heavy and this bra gives me great lift and shape. I haven't used the racerback style for longer than a few minutes, so I can't speak to that aspect but when I did try it, the bra felt snug and even more supportive. I wore this bra for the first time today. The band is quite tight, more so than I expected from an Elomi bra. Despite that, I'm very pleased with this bra. I don't mind using the extender for now, and I figure the band will eventually stretch (all bands do over time). With the extender, the band's still very secure: it doesn't ride up, twist around my body, or force the straps to do all the heavy lifting. Plus, the cups give me a great perky shape. I had no trouble scooping myself completely into the cups. The center gore tacks perfectly, and it's low enough to hide below most of my v-neck tops. The shorter underwires are great for me since I'm short and short-waisted. But I wore this bra all day today, with no itching or poking. Just be aware that the band on this bra might be smaller/tighter than you expect, compared to other Elomi bras you own. This could easily become my new almost-perfect "everyday" black bra, and I'll probably order a second one. Robin from Chicago IL

I currently wear a 38GG in the Amelia and decided to give this one a shot since I needed one that I can wear with racer back tank tops for the summer. When I received it I put it on and was immediately disappointed. The cup rippled and the side puckered. It looked awful and will be returning it by the week's end. I tried one of those plastic things to bring the straps together with the ameila but I don't think that works with wide straps as it just broke the plastic thing. Kimeka from Chicago
