This is one of the few nursing bras that I've found to be reasonably supportive. I've bought a number of them, and continue to be satisfied. Maya from Bronx, NY

I ordered in my universal cup size and it was way too big in the band and way to small in the cup size. Really awful pointed shape and no support at all. I was so disappointed because this way my first nursing bra and now I have to buy another new one.

Elila Response: The Elila brand uses the +4 sizing method. That means you would take your under band measurement and add 4" to get your band size. Here is a fit video explaining this in detail. Hannah from Puyallup, WA

Sadly, the cup fit is terribly small compared to other brands in this same size. The material is scratchy and uncomfortable.

My favorite of all the nursing bras I have tried. It is comfortable, & I feel well supported. It is easy to unhook the cups, and the framework of the bra is solid enough that it is still supportive even when the cup is unhooked. I don't have to worry about my M cup flopping out in a way that makes it very clearly asymmetric from the clasped breast. I can holster & unholster very discreetly. Dr.G from AZ

The straps have no stretch.

Elila Response: Our straps are designed to be rigid and adjustable to reduce any bounce as well as to help keep the bra supported and balanced. Becky

I usually don't write reviews on most of the things that I buy, but this bra has been a huge disappointment. I thought it would be a great bra to sleep in due to the no wire, but it is not comfortable. The straps would not stay on my shoulders and were constantly slipping off. When I wore it during the day to nurse, it seemed very constricting on my breasts. I have other bras this same size and they work great, but this one feels tight everywhere (waistband, breast, etc). I can't wait to take this bra off when I do wear it! I was really hopeful that this would be better than it has been.

Elila Response: We are sorry to hear this style did not work for you. If the band size is too tight it will be too constricting and uncomfortable. The Elila brand uses a +4 measurement system which means that if your under bust measures 34" then we would suggest a 38 band, if you measure 36" then we would suggest a 40 band. Jess

I ordered based your your sizing recommendations. Size up a band size and down two cup sizes. I would like the middle section of the bra to touch my chest is that was it is supposed to do? It isn't touching chest. Does that mean too small or too big in the cups? Help! I'd really like to try this bra!

HerRoom Response: Because this bra is wire free it will never touch your chest. If you're looking for something to touch your chest we suggest trying something with an underwire like Elomi EL3912. Darleen from Stonyford/ca/usa

I ordered several different styles of nursing bras and these were my favorite. Six months later they are still out performing other brands. I'm a sweaty thing and these soak it up without becoming smelly. 5 star for fabric content & ease of hooking & unhooking singlehandedly. 4 stars on 1 bra that fits a little different in the cup than the other! I was immediately impressed with how much more supportive this bra was than the genetic XL medela bra I bought at the baby store. The cloth is a heavy cotton and it makes my breasts a bit pointier than they are in my usual bras, but the support it gives is excellent. My breasts grew from a C to an E after pregnancy and this bra makes it bearable. No problems nursing with it. W. M. from Richmond

This is the most supportive nursing bra I have found in nearly 10 years of nursing babies-even better than underwire bras. This is due to the 3-sectioned cups, sturdy bands, and non-stretchy shoulder straps. I also found the sizing to be a true, perfect fit, even after multiple washings in warm water. The hook-eye closure is nearly impossible to close with one hand after nursing, but that's minor. Caroline from Haysville, KS

I am not satisfied with this item. The only reason I am unhappy with this particular bra is because the sizing is really small. I ordered another bra of the same brand that was a size smaller than this one and the smaller one was actually significantly larger by what I would guess to be at least a cup size (doesn't make sense to me either). The material it is made from and the support structure of the bra seems to be well designed.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear this bra did not work for you. We recommend going up a band and down two cup sizes in all Elila softcup styles. (e.g. 36G(D4) would try a 38E(D2). Jessica from United States

Not impressed! Pre-pregnancy I was a 34L and expecting to become larger I bought a 38M. This bra does not give me as much support as I need and where the cup overlaps the other fabric; it doesn't! It separates, and you can tell through my shirts; very annoying! Goddess is my next try!

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. Elila has unique bra sizing. Please refer to our comment on the size chart where we suggest adjusting your traditional size for a better Elila fit. We recommend going up a band size and down two cup sizes. If you are typically a 34L, we recommend trying a 36J (D7). TE from Lakewood, OH

I have a nude version of this bra that I purchased on EBay that is somehow softer, easier to wear and larger-seeming in the cup, even though this bra is a k. My breasts don't really fit in it, and it's uncomfortable. I think if you can get your size right it may be nice. Unfortunately I still haven't figured it out...

HerRoom Response: Elila soft cup bras have unique sizing and we suggest going up a band and down two cup sizes. If you ordered a 38K (D8) you might try a 40I (D6). Busty mama from United States

This didn't fit at all in the cups, There was a big gap between the top of the nursing cup and the underlying cup supports. I have another size coming that hopefully will do better.

True to size. Holds my girls up really well. Impossible to open hook and eye closures with one hand but it does the job so I wont complain. Does give a semi pointy look to my breast but I just wont wear really tight shirts with it and it looks fine. Overall, good bra Floridian Mom from Gainesville

Very disappointing. The bra shrank after washing. I did not dry it in the dryer. I hung it to dry.

Cup runs SMALL. Unfortunately, no one makes a bigger nursing bra. This is the last biscuit in the tin, so to speak. Everything else about this bra is good: sturdy band, nonstretch straps, and double hooks at the cup for large cup sizes (doesn't come in the smaller ones; I ordered the J cup first). The straps have a wide range: they go long enough to fit my 6'2" body. But yeah, order a couple sizes up in the cup, because I can barely squeeze into that M. MaryGrace from Hickory, NC

As a large-busted woman it is hard to find a supportive AND comfortable nursing bra. It took me many children to finally find this bra and I am SO glad I did. My favorite things about it: I do not bulge out the top, the straps are NOT stretchy (something a large-busted woman does NOT want), cottony soft material. I don't like being the size I am, but since that is where I am right now, it is VERY nice to have finally found a nursing bra that does its job. Thank you SO much. This was the best of three nursing bras I tried. I like the all cotton cups as well as that there are three levels of hook for the cup. There is no way I will be able to do this with one hand, but I sort of expected this at my size. I am hopeful this one will work out when the baby gets here. Robin from Cleveland, OH

Overall this bra is ok and will serve my needs, but the side panels aren't very supportive for someone with splayed breasts. I like the clip on these better than the other ones I had ordered because they're easier to hook back on and unhook. Elisa from Catonsville/Maryland/US

At 34G, there are no bras in my size available locally, and it was very frustrating ordering and paying shipping, re-stocking fees and return shipping on 7 other bras before finding one that worked. This bra has been my savior. I've never in my life worn a non-underwire bra before, but this one had enough support without the uncomfortable underwires that were too restrictive when nursing. I wore it every day for over a year and it is still in good enough shape for my second child. The hooks on the cups are tiny metal dress hooks, the best type of hook I've found on a nursing bra. They are not bulky, stay hooked securely and are easy to unhook. I liked the cone shaped cups, as they gave a shape to my figure in that difficult postpartum stage when your body in transitioning back. And they provided enough room for my longish shaped breasts, unlike other types of bras that smush all that breast tissue to under the arm pit. Can't wait to buy another of these, I'm so glad it is still being made! Ann from NY

This bra had a lot of lift. It lifted and separated too much though. I got clogged ducts from trying it on. I wear a 34 G and this bra is sized correctly in the band but the cups are too big and cone shaped. The straps rubbed under my arms but the back and shoulders were super comfortable.

Elila Response: We would suggest you try a 34F then your cups will give you a more flattering shape. D from Colorado

I was excited to try this bra, I was very disappointing. It did fit correctly, I used the Herroom universal cup sizing, but it was not comfortable at all, it pushed my breasts apart in the center of my chest so much it hurt the skin on my breast, my breasts pushed so far out to the sides that my arms would be knocking them when I move around. On a positive the shoulder straps have good adjustment, the under bust and back support is good, unfortunate that the cup design is not as good :(. Hope to return if I can. Carla from Australia

This bra is very supportive and comfortable. As someone with large breasts, I find the full surround support when the flap is down helpful. The only things I don't like are the mesh the band is made of is kind of scratchy and the way the cups are placed make my breasts seem very wide. Overall great bra. Jenna from Arlington, MA

The cups of this bra don't provide quite the support I need, but the fit is good and the hooks are easy to maneuver. I feel like the fabric of the cup is too thin and needs to be as thick as the fabric of the part that goes over the upper part of my breast. I find my breasts bulging between the cup and that part after I've been particularly active or am particularly full. Shannon

Love, love, love this bra. It's a true 32 band -- I'm 32 when not pregnant and can still fit this bra on the loosest setting -- and has generous cup support, including along the outside under the arms, but without being a total granny bra. Yes, it's huge, yes there are four clips in the back, but the support is fantastic and my "girls" don't droop after a couple of washes. I am wearing this bra as a maternity bra in the last weeks and expect it will be a good fit several months down the road after the baby is born. BG from SF Bay Area

Very heavy material and no support or definition to speak of in this bra. The sizing seemed correct, but my breasts were not supported or separated at all--it would be easier to wear nothing. In fairness, I have very heavy breast tissue and a small ribcage--none of the wireless nursing bras I have tried have worked for me. Still, I would not rate the bra very highly based on the thick and uncomfortable material. T.S. from Philadelphia

Finally a nursing bra with support that fits a 32J! I ordered no less than 5 other bras and was in tears as to how little they supported. I was just about to give up on finding a 32J nursing style bra when I ordered this. You almost can't tell that it doesn't have wires with how supportive it is. The band fits snug around the chest and doesn't rise in the back and cause droopage in the front. This is a wonderfull bra for the big busted yet small chested. Misty from Reno/Nevada/USA

I'm currently nursing my seventh child, so naturally I've tried quite a few nursing bras over the years. I never really found anything acceptable until I found the Elila nursing bra a couple of years ago. If you need a high quality, very supportive nursing bra, this is it. I was happy to add a new black one this year. But honestly, if it weren't for wanting another bra quantity wise, I wouldn't have even needed to get another one. My older Elila nursing bra that I used all through the time of nursing my last baby has held up super well. I don't believe there's a better nursing bra out there. Susan

I wouldn't recommend this bra to anyone. There are plenty of other nursing bras out there that are more flattering and more comfortable. Unfortunately, larger-chested gals can't escape pointy nursing bras, but this shape was very unflattering- pointy and wide. I thought the cotton would make it comfortable but it just gets wet and stays wet. The straps also have no give and are the most uncomfortable straps I have ever worn. The only plus side might be the cup fasteners- they are in no way convenient and take two hands to close but I imagine they might be strong enough for some women who have problems with regular clasps.

Elila Response: Yes, cotton when it gets wet, stays wet. Most people buy cotton because it is a fiber that is from nature. Man made fibers (fibers made from petroleum) do dry faster. The fit issue sounds like the bra was either too big or too tight in the back. Often people feel the bras a little pointy, but they are not, the bust just needs to be lifted into it’s proper place. Lifts and separates. I was a bit leary at first, thinking the bra was a bit "old" for me. But I tried it on and it instantly slimmed me. I like that the band is not cotton, just the cups. The inner sling is lightly padded and quite supportive, so I don't have to hold my breast up while nursing. Jennifer from Troy, MI, USA
