This front closure bra is excellent for me to get on with no help since I am disabled. It’s great for me to be as independent as I can possibly be. Thank you. And it is so comfortable. Jeri from Hillsborough

I like this bra but not as well as the back hook. I thought it would be simpler to put on but still takes time because of the breast get in the way when trying to hook. Maybe there is a better way. But for now I will stick to my other Elila bras. Once I have it on it seems fine to wear. Easy to take off. Cindy from Ames, IA, USA

The bra is a very nice bra, however, don't order your regular size. I did look at the size chart and read the ratings from other customers and ordered one size larger and the band still didn't fit. It is really difficult ordering clothing online because most sites put imported. The really need to state where clothing is made because it does make a difference.

Elila Response: When finding your Elila size, we suggest adding 4” to your diaphragm measurement to get your band size. You can double check this measurement by taking the tape measure around your back, under your arms and just above your bust. This is also a good indicator to get your band measurement and check against your diaphragm +4” measurement. Carol

It was rather confusing and to determine my size based on your sizing. Then I came up with an H size after consulting with your staff and was way too large when I received it I had to pay to return it to you very disappointing, now I don't have a black bra.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. Elila has unique bra sizing. Please refer to our comment on the size chart where we suggest adjusting your traditional size for a better Elila fit. We recommend going up a band size and down two cup sizes. If you are typically a 44H, for Elila bras we recommend trying a 46F (D3). Mary

I like the bra it just didn't fit. I have brought bras before by this brand and they fit perfectly. I guess because it was a front close hook-up it didn't work in my size.

Elila Response: Front close bras can be tricky, try going up a band and down a cup to give it more flexibility when closing. Sandra from Memphis, TN US

Comfortable andsSupportive. Easy on. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it has the strap that is not all one piece, which lends itself to have a mind of its own. Smile20 from California

Your product is awesome, I love the fabric and construction however I cannot get a fit. This one is too large in cup should be H or I., I washed before trying on so cannot return. This is third one. The girls run nearly in the armpits in the three. Have to use front hook against my will. I have an old old Goddess which is better than anything I have tried but they sent me a DD which needs to be larger. Any help would be VERY much appreciated. I am miserable!!

HerRoom Response: Elila soft cup bras have unique sizing and we suggest going up a band and down two cup sizes. If you ordered a 46J (D7) you might try a 48H (D5). Charli from Tulsa, ok

Can't really rate this item fairly. I ordered this because I have a broken arm and needed to find a bra I could put on with one hand. The only solution I have found is to fasten a bra first, then step into it and pull it up my body. This one is not elastic enough to stretch out to come over my hips. Mattie

Ok so the bra is just as it looked on sight, the shipping was great, easy to use checkouts, but as soon as I try my bras on they end up being really tight. I mean I might as well have bought one size bigger but decided to keep these ones. They are tight enough to cut off my circulation under my boobs and arms. Also it is hard to take and even buckle the fronts do to not being the right size. Other than that they are great. Jordan

The only down side to this bra is that the metal part on the strap broke when I put it on. I will never have the opportunity to wear it because it broke. These types of straps in my opinion are not made for heavy chested girls. Talia from Saint Petersbur

The BEST bra I have ever had for my size and the support I need! The sliding strap cushions are really nice to have. The fit and support are better than my previous bra, and actually make me feel a little smaller, and my clothes fit a little better. I've been searching for this for a long time. Carol from Kent, WA

I am a long time purchaser of the Elila Jacquard front closure bra. I was very happy with this bra until they switched from the jewelock strap buckle to a plastic buckle. The jewelock buckle made it easy to adjust the straps of the bra without having to struggle and/or remove it just to make an adjustment. I'm glad I kept my old bras that have the jewelock buckle. I plan to have a seamstress remove the new plastic buckle from my bras and replace them with the jewelocks from my old bras. I give this bra 3 stars, but usually I would've given it 4 stars. If they would use a softer material to construct the lining of the bra instead of the mesh like nylon material, I would gladly give it 5 stars. Kesha from Michigan

Being one of those ladies whose bra size is "I've fallen and can't get up!", I have found this to be one of the most comfortable bras I've ever owned. This is the first front hooking bra I ever owned and was disappointed to find that the waist band is not adjustable like back hooking bras since there is only one row of hooks. Once the waist starts to stretch out the bra is too big and can no longer be worn. This is a problem for me because I have a small waist and chest and almost always start out on the third (most inside) row of hooks. I didn't realize the difference with front hooking bras. When I first wore this bra, I immediately had trouble with one of the strap buckles failing to hold the strap in place. The strap slowly (or sometimes suddenly) slips out of the buckle leaving me unsupported on one side. Sandy from VA

The cups on this bra are also too large but I had already worn it and could not return. I love the comfort of the front closing. Wish that the hooks would stay closed. Hopefully, when washed it will be a little smaller feeling.

Elila Response: Sorry to hear your bra comes unfastened, try our Jacquard Soft-cup Posture Bra 1415 which comes in smaller sizes. You could also try the Jacquard Soft-cup Front Hook Longline Bra 5415 which hooks in the front. Linda from Illinois

I'm 6'3" and I have been ordering and returning bras to Her Room for over a year, and they have been wonderful working with me. Great team!!! Finally got this bra...it's wonderful. Very supportive, nice straps. The front closure is a bit tricky at first...start at the top and go down, not bottom up. The only complaints I have on this bra: band hurts under the breasts after a few hours (it's not too tight, so not sure why), and when I'm dancing, sometimes the top two hook/eyes come undone. The straps are very wide, so depending upon your shirt they may end up showing. The bra is very supportive, and thankfully not very stretchy. The sides are high enough/firm enough to hold the girls IN and UP. Nipple line is half way between shoulder and elbow, just where it belongs. This is a great bra for me to dance in, but will be ordering a larger cup size for everyday wear. Carmen from Washington

Because of arthritis I need a front loading bra. The bra had no give. The elastic was so tight, it wouldn't give enough stretch to put on. My husband, who is stronger than most had difficulty stretching it. The problem is I can't find a bra with a large enough cup in a front load. I never got to wear it to review it.

Elila Response: We are sorry to here this did not seem to work for you. You should try going up a band size or two then going down a cup size for each band size to find the best fit. DJ from Houston, TX USA

I am a size 40k and needed a comfortable firm support bra. I also been wearing the Elila Jacquard Back Hook bra for the past few years. I decided to try the Front Hook version. I find the Front Hook is much easier to put on and without the back hooks my clothes look much smoother. With the back support and lift that I get with this bra, my back and shoulder straps no longer pain me. Being small framed and top heavy (I seem to be just all out front) requires special 'assistance' daily. The wide straps give me shoulder comfort, the wide back and sides helps hold my bra in place. Also the firm cups with under cup support panels keeps me from sagging as the day goes on. I can now defy gravity and be comfortable all day. Debbie from CA

This item, and the rear closure Bra of the same make are nearly the only Bras that can give me all the different aspects I need from a Bra which include .. fit, support and comfort. I purchase my Bras exclusively from HerRoom.com because they are the only source I have found that meets my specific size requirements. Most other outlets seem to think that DDD is as big as it gets which leaves us overly buxom women in tears, and extremely limited in fulfilling our needs. Thank you Elila Jacquard and HerRoom.com for providing the very thing that makes my nightmare a walk in the park. Oh by the way, my husband has attended many of my Bra searches over the years and has witnessed me leave in tears, be unable to find a proper fitting Bra, and leaving in the same worn out improper fitting Bra I came in wearing. He is ecstatic over HerRoom.com and my Bra selection from there. Carol Carol from Pocatello, Idaho

The bra was fine until I had my second child and then every time that I put the bra on the straps would come loose never staying where I needed them to be. My bust was constantly drooping because the strap was always coming loose so I had to put a safety pin in to hold it in place. Without it having a wire it made it even harder to keep my breasts up in the bra. DAWNETTA from WASHINGTON

My rating is based on two flaws I feel this bra has. First flaw was that the bra did not have more than one set of hooks to make adjustments. Second flaw is the material in the back is thin, no extra support material for a woman with large breast. That weak material will be stretched out and broken before long. Peggy from Marysville, OH. I absolutely love this bra! I find the front closure works well for pendulous breasts - I really get good overall support. The only problem I have had with this bra is that the white version does not fit me as well as the nude colored one even when the size is the same. Probably just something to do with my body, but I pop out of the right cup even with a larger cup size with the white color only - this has happened twice now. Luckily this is an awesome company that makes it easy to exchange items. Lyn from Fremont, CA U.S.A.

Finally, a front close bra that actually supports and doesn't take an army to get into. I have had issues with the back closure line of this brand as the straps tend to dig into shoulder after long-term wear and it does not hold up in the laundry well. I am happy to say the front closure has offered the best should comfort and I sewed in the shoulder traps, so that has helped for the laundry. Just wish the back portion was longer/wider to tuck in my little back fat! Octavia from Chicago, Il

The band is not a 42. I can't even get the band to meet in the front. Keeping it because I'm on a diet and will see if I can reduce enough to make it fit. There is no stretch in the band either.

Elila Response:Firm support means firm fit. If you are not used to this style of construction then I would suggest going up a size in the band and down in the cup for comfort. Terri from Iowa, La

It was truly a joy to finally find a bra that actually covered everything up to my arm pit with nothing overlapping...I really like this bra, and the fit across the back was great. I got a lot of compliments on my new bra...oddly enough people noticed that something was different! Thanks HerRoom! Jacquie from Suffolk, Va

This is the first bra I've found that fits my small frame. I adjust it to 8 inches of excess strap and there's still plenty of room for my arms. Wish there were more petite front closing bras in my size. Thank heaven I found this one - I love it! Susan from TN

I'm so happy I found this bra, finally one which covers my very large breasts, gives good support and with the wide straps it's easier to carry the weight. Having many problems with finding the right bra since I was 15 this one is heaven for me. It's a pity that there aren't more colors to choose for us younger girls. Great buy, thank you so much. good support but very uncomfortable bra. It's design was more for broad shouldered woman than a heavy set woman. Extremely uncomfortable! I was looking for support but in a front closure. Most front closure bras do not support. This one does the job perfectly but to me it is uncomfortable. The straps seem too far away from each other. The band size was perfect almost too big for me but the cup size seems too small. If the straps had been a little bit closer to each other in the back this would have been a great bra! (One strap cuts into my arm in the front right where the metal adjuster sits no matter how tight or loose you make the strap.) I was disappointed but excited to find someone making a good front closure bra. Thinking about sending it back. Thanks for a great service you are doing for us! mom

The 44M, what can I say..it fits. Not many companies acknowledge the LRG breasted woman and it is very difficult to find a bra that truly does the job right. Here is an outstanding product, soft, comfortable and long lasting. I wish other companies would follow their lead, we "biggest" gals would like a variety of pretty colors and sexy fabrics to choose from too. Submitted from TheUndies.com

I am short and have shoulders that measure only 15 inches across. I haven't been able to find a bra that fit properly and did not show the straps until now. Most front hook bras are made for back support and the straps are like a racer back bra which brings them closer to the neck in the front and they show no matter what you wear unless it's a turtle neck. This bra is a front hook and the straps do not show. I have never been happier with a bra. It is very comfortable. Sherry from North Carolina

I really love the front closure bras and was thrilled when I found this one. I love that I can move the shoulder pads where I need them instead of the padded part being between my breast and collarbone. The only issue I have with it is that the seam in the lower cup isn't where it should be and the outer piece of fabric needs to be about an inch wider so that the separation is more natural. Other than that the cup fits great. Thank you Elila for making life easier for the larger woman. Nancy from Pine Bluff, AR, USA

I ordered this bra for my 83 year old mother-in-law. It is surprisingly hard to find a front hook bra in the really large sizes! This met all of her criteria-- No wires or stays, front close, sturdy but soft fabric, and pads on the straps. We both liked that the cups were shaped naturally and did not have the "torpedo" look! An excellent buy! Cheryl from Sun Prairie, WI, USA

One of the few suppliers for a front hook bra in my size. It gives me decent support and is more easier to manage than a back hook bra. Would prefer a wider back to help balance out the front when I am wearing it. Overall good bra and good fit. MYDSMIV from Greenville, NC

Good quality, but bulky and did not fit right. Front closure is very difficult for someone my size to put on...

HerRoom Response: Thank you for your comments. We have forwarded to Elila for a response.

Elila Response: Front hook garments can be challenging to get on but you can try a couple of things, you can hook it while it’s at your waist and pull it up or hook it above your chest and pull down. You can also use your arms to separate your bust in order to hook it when it’s directly in front. If you would like the same support but in a back hook, I would suggest style Elila 1305. The sizing was off on this bra in my opinion - the cup size was much smaller than normal for my size and the band also seemed tight. It was extremely uncomfortable and very, very difficult to even get on. Total thumbs down, I'm returning it. No way would I wear this bra for more than 2 minutes.

HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. The Elila brand is a very exact fit. You probably need a different (larger) size.

Elila Response: If the band is too tight, nothing is going to fit correctly and it will be too difficult to close (impossible). Elila is a classically sized brand and cannot be compared to garments that are very stretchy. We make plus size firm control garments that have a lot of structure/support/uplift. Kelly from Georgia

I was looking for a supportive front close bra, as Goddess discontinued the style I found most comfortable. I have also purchased the back close version of this bra in the past, and the fit is not the same. I really wanted to like this bra, but the cups run small (I wear a 42J), the bra is stiff even after washing, the band does not have enough give in the back, and it felt like the girls were extending from my armpits...

HerRoom Response: Thank you for your comment. We have forwarded it on to Elila.

I bought the front closure very of the Elila Jacquard SoftCup b/c i could not hook the regular back closure version up completely b/c the waist band does not stretch much. The back hook version was hard to pull down to hook up all 5 hooks. I'm only 5 feet tall so my arms weren't strong or long enough to reach up my back that high. It's a very sturdy bra, it has great support and the best part is the sliding shoulder pads. they work great i positioned them where i needed the padding so the straps would not dig into my shoulders and they stayed put all day. The only 'not so perfect' part of the bra is b/c you opt for a front closure the cups are not separated by fabric that lays on your chest as with the regular back hook version. you won't get that 2 separate cups in the end look. The front closure can't hold itself to your chest but i still ti it's worth the trade off b/c i can hook it myself easily. Dara from Oxford, CT

Cup Size fit was smaller than the back closed bra of the Elila same cup and band width. Therefore, I had to return this bra. I ordered 2 front close, but because I wore one I ended up keeping 1 which does not fit correctly. By the way, I ordered the front hook bra based on the back hook bra I already owned. Apparently that was a mistake, the back hook does not fit the same, cup wise, as the front hook. Mary from Upper Marlboro, MD

Very good quality bra that actually fits me! The support is good, although I've only worn it a short time - so don't know the durability yet. A little hard to get on, but I'm getting better at it! The only negative is that I would rather it didn't make me stick out so far. It is comfortable, however. Claudia from Delano, MN

This bra, while it fits ok, just gives an unwanted look. It's alright for lounging around the house.. I wouldn't wear it in public. Gives the *bullet* look and kinda just looks frumpy. I am happy they have bigger sizes so gave a star for that, love the front hooks, another star... although after putting away groceries and putting a load into the washer 3 of these fine front hooks came undone... another reason not to wear in public. Keep going Elila, your on the right track, just not there yet. Gina from Country Gal, USA

This was certainly not one of the better fitting bras I've found - it was extremely uncomfortable just trying to put it on, though once I managed to get it on it wasn't too bad. While my husband found it greatly entertaining, I couldn't appreciate the fact that three to five of the seven clasps would come undone each time I moved my arms, and unfortunately had to return this bra. Overall, great fit, true to size, keeps the girls where they belong without bounce, the front clasp only has one row, so be sure to order your true size. Good value, most of the time I have spent $50+ for a decent bra and then had to have it tailored. This fit right out of the box. Shipped out really fast. Geri from Carrollton, TX

For me this is an excellent bra to have. I sweat a lot underneath and after maybe six months the bottom two hooks fell off. I had mine for over a year now and I wont get the front hooks again. I only got two the first time. Because I don’t want to have to spend $200 on four bras. Once the bra gets stretched out you have to adjust the stapes. I only tried the front hooks because I can’t hook a bra from the back. I will try the back hooks and see how that goes. Jennifer from West Lafayette IN, USA

I was extremely disappointed that this bra did not come close to fitting when I finally received it. I have been measured and this was the size I was supposed to choose. Also, upon trying to get the bra on, I realized that the fabric was course and very stiff. It's so frustrating that I have to purchase my bras online because of my behemoth bosom anyway but it amplifies my frustrations when the product doesn't fit. I do not think this product is sized correctly but hopefully I can exchange it for a bigger size. Christy from Van Buren, AR

I love this bra!!! It fits very snugly, yes, but that's a good thing. It keeps the "girls" in place and fully supported. As far as straps digging into the shoulders, I think most women with extremely large breasts have this problem. This bra seems to really minimize this issue. I also love the fact that I don't have to deal with the jiggle factor, I refer to this bra's support as "locked and loaded". I have had problems with hooks wearing out over time but that happens on most of my bras, I just sew on new ones from the sewing supply store. Only fuss is it needs to come in other colors. I love this bra! This was my second purchase. Very good product, from the front clasps, cushioned shoulder straps, back support, no under wire...all of these things are great. However, the best thing to me is that Elila bra makes my actual cup size. Thanks to Elila and HerRoom, I never have to deal with dreaded and unsightly spillage out of the front or side of the cups or the tri-boob or jiggle factor ever again! Grace from Saint Albans, NY USA

This is the best fit and support I've found in years. Usually I wind up with a cup size that's too small but the largest I can find. My only wish to make this the dream-come-true bra is to find this size in a cotton bra (or at least a cotton lining). Irene from St. Peters, MO

Runs much smaller size than same brand with back close bra. Sadly I expected it to fit as it is the same size as other Elila Jacquard (back close) bra. No return/exchange after tags are removed. If exchange with tags still attached, still must deal with shipping fees and guessing as to how much to estimate for size difference allowance. Customer from WA

I've purchased 2 of these bras and I absolutely love them. I've always had a bigger chest and this is the first time I've ever found a soft cup bra that actually holds me up from the time I put it on in the morning, until I take it off at bedtime. I was used to wearing underwire, but I have to say, I love the feeling of no wires poking me or making me feel uncomfortable! I'm currently 7 months pregnant and for me, the back support of this bra is tremendous. You can see where my breasts end and my belly begins!!! For anyone that is big chested, I would recommend trying this bra out. I was always a skeptic about softcup, but I love these bras!! Jennifer from Iowa
