it addresses the straps digging into your shoulders. it isn't shrouded in lace. so there is no irritation and you don't look like a doily. there's no underwire digging into your sides or bend out of shape. it comes in a variety of colors. it provides coverage without the appearance of being owned by someone's grandma. I have worn the style for a long time. Fits well and supports the "girls"! Band is a little tight but that probably is a little part of the magic! Sherry from Portland Or.

I ordered a cup size that was too large, as was the band. I have gained weight and am still trying to get the right size figured out! Anyway, I can’t give a fair assessment of the overall fit except to say that the cups seemed very wide and flat, which might have been okay if they were the right size for me. But what really stood out to me was an internal cup sling/support which would have been a great concept except that the material was extremely rough and scratchy. Based on that alone I’m not going to try a smaller size.

HerRoom Response: You may want to try laundering it once or twice to remove some of the initial stiffness, you can check out our Lingerie Care page for tips on washing your lingerie. Gillian from Colorado USA

I prefer this bra. It is a Good holding bra for my size. I previously had this bra with the metal clasps and liked that better. It was easier to adjust the bra straps. The current bra has a plastic adjuster which takes more work to adjust. But bra fits well. I took off the cushion on the straps it just makes the straps more difficult to adjust. GJ from PG MD

I find this style as the only thing I can wear. The metal closure is good just hate when they break. Great support for heavy weight breast, nice lift. My sizing choice may not have been right but trying to work with it. Cup design under armpit not flexible, irritating.rough material.

Elila Response: We are currently transitioning from a metal buckle to a stronger plastic buckle. You also may want to check out HerRoom's Lingerie Care page for tips on washing your lingerie to remove some of the stiffness. Mary from Dillon

Large breast are heavy!! The manufacturer does not seem to realize this. I am in desperate need of a good quality bra that supports without the straps slipping. Against my better judgment I ordered this 1305. The flimsy metal bucket broke within an hour of wear. Thankfully I was still home. Also, it is recommended to go up in band size. I ordered accordingly and the band was to big. Terrible bra and size recommendation.

Elila Response: We are currently transitioning from using the metal buckles to a stronger plastic buckle. We are sorry that this bra did not work out for you. Laura from Union City, CA USA

I like that they fit, but the straps do not stay put the way they are made. You have to slide in the straps into the padded shoulder pads and it slips out so the bra does not stay in an uplift position. They should have clips like most bras do and the previous bras of this brand that I have purchased did have clips to hold the straps. Charlene from Spokane, WA, US

Elila Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. The metal buckles are from the older versions of this bra and the plastic buckles have proven to be a stronger alternative. Glenna from Lesage wv

Excited about getting a bra with no wires as they sometimes dig in my chest. Never heard of "Elila" brand, and wasn't sure of ordering it. I ordered 2, but when I put them on, I thought I had a vice grip around my chest...no give, so tight. Thought maybe they would stretch with time...they haven't. I wear a 12, and never had a bra fit like this. I can't wear them.

HerRoom Response: Elila uses traditional band sizing, so add 3" to 4" to your underband measurement. If you are new to the Elila brand, go up 1 band size and down 2 cup sizes from your current bra size (e.g. If you're a 36H(D5), move to a 38F(D3)). Jewell from Washington

The color is reason I purchased this bra, beautiful!. I also wanted to try a bra without a wire. The straps are difficult work with, too thick, they will not stay tucked in the shoulder cushion and they slip while wearing. The lining around the inside of the cups irritates my breast I thought it would soften up after a few washings, it did not. Really disappointed in this purchase.

Elila Response: Sorry you are disappointed with your purchase, if you are looking for a lighter weight garment, we would suggest trying Elila Lace Soft-cup Bra 1303 which has a slide strap adjustment and it comes in 6 different colors. Chris from Farmington

Do not like the changes that where made to bra straps. The adjusters are now made out of plastic and the excess strap comes on the top of the strap,,so you do not have a smooth line under your clothing.

Elila Response: You can tuck the strap over buckle and pull it back through the top loop of the buckle so that the strap is now on the bottom and pull to your desired tightness. Kim from Medina

I do not like the clasps on this bra. my straps will not stay where I set them at. I have a toddler that I am very active with and having to stop and constantly fix them back is a bit of an annoyance.

The support on this bra is amazing. Yet, the fit is strange. The middle seam on the cup angles to the inner arm. This makes you seem wider in the chest. Not the look I was going for. If the seam was in the middle then this would not be an issue.

Elila Response: Thank you for your feedback.  We suggest always putting on a shirt to review the appearance of the bra when trying it on. Von from Florida

The support slings are like breast jail before getting it broken in. They are scratchy and hot. The first couple of days I couldn't wear it more than a few hours. Other than, that it makes me look really good in my tops. I don't get any spillage on the top or sides, or back. Everything is smooth. Deidra from Arkansas

I have been buying this bra for years. I was excited to find my size on this site. However when I received it I was disappointed. I'm not sure if they have changed the construction or what. When you have large girls you need all the support you can get! The METAL CLASP was a plus. It would REALLY HOLD THINGS TOGETHER. Now this bra has some weird plastic thing and it has changed things completely. It makes the strap go up over the shoulders and hard to tuck in due to the weight of the girls. I tried rethreading it but no go. I guess its back to the drawing board on finding the perfect bra.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. Consider trying Elila Lace Soft-cup Bra 1303 for the same support without the front strap closures. Tam from Tulsa Ok,

The best option for large breasts in this size range. I wish there were more options for my size, but this is the only option. It would be better if it did not have adjustable straps because they have the ability to come loose, so it's a constant check to make sure they are still intact. The shoulder pads would work better if they were build into the straps instead of sliding along the strap. Crissy

I have been struggling to find a bra that fits me for years. I finally found this bra and decided to just guess my size without getting professionally measured and when I received this bra was so happy about how well it fit. The clasp that helps you adjust the tightness of the straps broke. I’ve only had the bra for a week and a few days and I’m very disappointed.

The band size is several inches too small and conflicting information on website - one place advising to order a band size larger, another suggesting adding 5-6" to under band measurement.

Elila Response: Elila has a +4 sizing method, so if you measure 40" underneath, we would suggest a size 44 band to start. Hope this helps. Pam from Elk Grove, CA

Finally found a bra that fits and supports as a bra should. The straps adjust with precision and are nice and sturdy. The straps are also wide and have cushions, so I no longer experience back and shoulder pain. The cups are attractive with the jacquard fabric, so the print won't wash off like other bras I've had in the past. The cups are nice and smooth under clothing. No underwire to break and pinch. It sure looked comfy in the ad however, I think there are less structural parts in the Eiffel than this support garment. It was bulky and heavy. I was never really able to even put it on without discomfort.

I have been wearing Elila 1305 bra for at least 5 years. If you follow the fitters instructions and go up a band size and down cup size the bra fits fantastic (my normal bra size is 40I and I wear a 42 H in this Elila bra). New bras are very snug, but after a day for two the bra fits perfect. Wide straps and padded sling in cups give great support all day! Long lasting bra with proper laundry care. Mary from NJ

This bra's 34 inch band literally measured 29 inches.

Elila Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. Elila has a +4 sizing method which means that the bra will be about 2 " shorter than your acutal underbust measurement. If you are 32" around, we would suggest that you try a 36 band. Linda from Denver, CO

Very disappointed! I tried to go one cup size up to get rid of the overflow, and I failed! The material is really harsh, it is irritating me, very itchy! The excess strap won't stay in that cushion! I tried to wear it twice, very uncomfortable I don't know if I can do it again.

Elila Response: We would suggest washing your garment before wearing it to remove any finishes. Please check out HerRoom's Lingerie Care page for tips on washing your lingerie. If there is excess strap, you can trim it off and stitch the sedge to keep it from fraying. We hope this helps. Florina

This is a beautiful bra that seems to be of very good quality! I love the ability to adjust the straps to the length I need. The unfortunate part is that I ordered the incorrect size. Definitely use the Elila sizing to buy this. My normal size wouldn't have fit me in the band, the cup would've been too big. Following their sizing, I have the best support I've ever had. Mine are so heavy that underwires leave bruises on my ribs--not the skin, the actual bone. Plus I've been dealing with pretty bad neck and shoulder pain. This bra has improved all of those things. HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. Please refer to our comment on the size chart where we suggest adjusting your traditional size for a better Elila fit. If you are typically a 36M, in Elila we recommend trying a 38K(D8). Rebecca from Oakley, CA

Awful bra. The bra is not as pictured. It appears to have clasps above the cups but it does not. The band is SUPER snug (yes, I checked my sizing).

Elila Response: This bra is designed to have maximum support and full coverage, if you would like a softer fit we would suggest going up a band size and down a cup. The jewel-lock clasp is on the F - K cups, and a ladder clasp is on the L, M & N. Michelle from Waco

This bra has comfortable support however it makes my breasts point outward toward my arms and I can't seem to adjust it so that I look straighter. It's kind of reminds me of my mom's bras. It is comfy tho, good bra to wear around the house but I don't wear it to go out.

Elila Response: It sounds like the bra is a bit small in the cup, we would suggest trying a 40K. We also have a molded style 1803 that goes to K cup if you are looking for a rounder option. Michele from Philadelphia, Pa US

The bras that I received did not have the rose clasp in fact there is no clasp. So do not order this bra if you work because it comes undone easy. Waste of money.

HerRoom Response: Please note cup sizes L, M and N use a very strong metal buckle with no moving parts for additional support and to prevent pinching. This buckle has been field tested, and has not broken. jessica from kerrville tx

Same product I've been purchasing for years (not many options when you're overly top heavy!). Found on herroom much cheaper than ever on other sites, so THANKS. I think this may be the ugliest bra I have ever seen. There is just so much fabric everywhere. I know it's full coverage and I think the cups are too big for me, but there isn't a smaller size that I could get (I wear a 42 D3). I appreciate that the band is tall and sits far enough down on my torso that it doesn't ride up. Too bad it doesn't fit well.

The straps on this bra are not at all as pictured. They constantly come undone throughout the day. I can't be sitting down with my patients and have my bra strap just break free. Very disappointed, as the overall fit and comfort is ok. Not great, but ok is usually all I get with my bra size. Shape is not ideal, but for a soft cup would have been acceptable.

Elila Response: The buckle on size 40N is a ladder and the fabric needs to be put through all the openings in order to stay down. Julie from OR

For me, this bra was a lot of good theory and bad practice. 5 hooks in the back. I love this idea, but man, was it hard to get on/off (had to do the hooks twice because I put hook 2 in eye 1). Also, so much serious engineering in this bra, but once I had it, pointed things in the wrong direction and the band folded in with my underboobs. Loved the idea of the straps, but not under thin tops.

Elila Response: It sounds like the bra size was too big for you. All intimate apparel should be washed before worn to remove any residue left on the fabrics. Once any finishes are removed the garment will be softer and rounder when wearing. The pads are made to be removable when they are not needed so the garment can be worn under a variety of tops. This Bra fits perfect thanks to asking HerRoom about the sizes. They recommend going up a band and down two cup sizes in this style. I love the cushion straps. Oh my word, I can't tell you how much I regret purchasing this bra. It runs small, which makes fitting impossible. My breasts are so squished in this thing. Also, the straps are awfully uncomfortable. The metal strap mechanism is in the front, which digs in my armpits. I was determined to break this bra in and wear it all day, but the strap hook scratched my armpit until it bled. Terrible product.

It cuts a little high in the underarm on me, and after 2 size exchanges, I'm still not convinced that I have the right size. The padded straps and the back area are comfortable. The excess strap material (after adjusting the length) hides in the cups and is a bit awkward unless you cut it off. The exchange/return process and customer services reps are very nice to work with.

HerRoom Response: In any Elila softcup bra we recommend going up a band and down two cup sizes in this style. (e.g. 36G(D4) would try a 38E(D2) Shelley from Pennsylvania

I wasn't thrilled with this bra, they claimed it has a cushion on the straps, which it does! It was just very strange, it is on it's own on the strap and it slides around... wired! And I was so pointy, I was laughing so hard at the shape of my breast, I was crying! Not a fan of this bra...

Elila Response: We suggest that you adjust the strap so the pad doesn’t move. If it does move around then your straps are too loose. As for the fit, you should always wash your bras to remove any residue on the fabrics. Once this is done the garment will have a softer, rounder shape. JillanaF from Clinton, MD

Band fits strangely. I first tried a 42 (my actual measurement), but it was too tight around the ribs. Upgraded to a 44, and though the band was still tight enough to hurt around the sides, it gaped in the front. Also don't think the cup size is accurate. I measure between an M and an N according to Her Room's universal sizing, but was overflowing the cup with both sizes I tried.

HerRoom Response: Please refer to our comment in the size chart where we suggest adjusting your traditional size for a better Elila fit. Lovely looking bra but not a good fit for me. I've tried several sizes to no avail. I normally wear a 48 HH (Euro) or 48 J/K (US). The 50 N in this bra was a struggle to wear. The bra itself is well made, comes in gorgeous colors and looks like it would be comfortable. I just wish it fit me properly.

HerRoom Response: We suggest trying a 50J in this bra. We have found that going up a band and down two cups from your typical bra size helps you achieve the best fit in this bra. Also if you are a HH (UK) you are an L (US). Keep in mind that all brands size differently after a D cup. Check out our brand conversion chart on our Bra Cup Fitting Guide. This is my second purchase of this item. There is a significant difference in cup size between the two, even though they are supposed to be the same. But the biggest weakness is the straps. They can be painful. The cushions would help better if they would stay in place and not flip over. Also, the clasps slip even though I tuck the slack into it correctly. I wish this size were available in more designs.

HerRoom Response: Only 10% of your bra's support should come from your bra straps. If your straps are working harder than this, you might need a smaller band size. We suggest checking out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra. Jean-Ann from 36037

The band runs small and the cup runs large so I returned this bra because it doesn't fit according to measurements. It is a heavily constructed garment so even if it had fit, I think I would have returned it since it would have been hot to wear.

HerRoom Response: Often times the fit of a soft-cup bra is tricky. Try going up a band and down two cup sizes (ie: 36G). We suggest checking out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra too. Susan from USA

Obviously not made to actually support large breasts - no matter how tight the straps, my breasts still sagged onto my stomach. Not sure why these are even made in the larger sizes since they obviously never had a large woman try any of them on. Padded straps were nice, and so were the front-clasp straps. Probably worth a try if you are cup size E or smaller.

HerRoom Response: We are sorry to hear that this bra did not work for you. We suggest checking out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra. Also keep in mind that the support of your bra should come from your band so it is important to be in you correct band size in order for the bra to provide the correct amount of support Caitlin

For many years this has been the only bra that I am able to purchase in my size. It has amazing support. The only drawback and to to me it is a big one is the metal clips. They dig into my flesh and hurt. I wish they could come up with a better way to do the straps to get rid of the metal clip.

HerRoom Response: We suggest trying Elila 1803 becuase there is not clip on the strap and still comes in your size. Nitza from Hendersonville

I have this bra in a number of colors & have duplicates of a few of the colors. I've found the sizing on this particular model (Elila 1305) is a bit wonky. I have gotten professionally fitted & know that I wear a 36J most of the time, but need a 38K in these. I also often have to put a safety pin on the strap to keep it from slipping through the buckle. Horrible=0 It has to be extremely tight around the torso because if it was not there would be ZERO support! AND the shape is odd. the middle of the bra does not rest against your sternum (not wrong size just impossible) resulting in a wired uni boob with peaks. Shoulder pads are useless and painful

Elila Response: A bra should be comfortable to wear. We would suggest taking your band measurement and adding 4” to get your band size, then take the measurement of fullest bust and subtract that measurement from you band size to work out your cup size. If you would like a medium support Elila softcup we would suggest that you try style 1803 in a 36I. Dianne from NC

The bra fits like a dream. It is so nice to have a company that takes care of you! Her Room is fantastic! The sent it right on time. They were so helpful. I will DEFINITELY be buying more bras from them! This bra has full breast coverage. Wide straps. For women like me with very large sizes. This style of bra stops the shoulder & back pain. I am returning this bra because I am a true 38 size and this bra doesn't even buckle around me. I specifically asked if I needed to order up a size and was told that it wasn't necessary. Very upset about this purchase.

HerRoom Response: Elila soft cup bras have unique sizing and we suggest going up a band and down two cup sizes. If you ordered a 38G (D4) you might try a 40E (D2). Unfortunately this bra does not come in that size so we suggest trying Elomi Cate Soft Cup EL4033 in a 38F (D4) (UK sized) anne from woohdaven, new york

The straps are a little wider than expected, but that is fine. Support is good, I don't tend to "jiggle" in it, and it does not dig into my sides. My major problem is with the cups. They fit for the most part, except for the very tip which wrinkles and looks weird underneath my shirts.

Elila Response: This bra is a very firm garment. If you are looking for a softer fit in a softcup bra, we would suggest trying either the style 1803 molded softcup or style 1303 lace softcup. Erin from U.S.

I am giving this 3 stars for fit issues, but the bra itself seems to be very well made. I have been a size 38 band size for over 15 years. No mention in fitters comments to change band size. The 38 I couldn't hook, and the cups were way too big. Am exchanging and will update then.

HerRoom Response: This can be found on the sizing chart. Tomima Tip: Elila has unique sizing. Examples: US = 36H(D5) = Elila 38F(D3) or UK = 36FF(D5) = Elila 38F(D3) Elayne from Round Rock/TX/USA

This is a very well made bra. The inner sling is made of polyfill fiber which I somehow didn't expect, but it does help with the firmness and structure of the bra. The fitting tips said to go up one or two bands and down one or two cups- I didn't do that at first. I ordered my regular size 34G. It was a TAD big in the cups so I exchanged for 34F, which is a TAD small in the cups. sigh. I can't win. But I'm keeping it anyway since it's closer to fitting me than anything at a dept store. If I had gone up a band or two it never would have fit, FYI. Good support, pretty color. Jessica from Austin,TX

I took the strap cushions off - they are so "loose" that they were useless. The bra itself is "stiff" - so it gives more support, but not as comfortable as a more "stretchy" bra. So it's a matter of preference. The band seems tighter than all the other "40" bras I've owned. Kris from Sacramento, CA, USA

This is the only bra I buy myself now. I hope it never goes away. The only one that fits me perfectly, gives me great support and doesn't bother my shoulders or back. I have bought over 10 of these by now. I like that the material is soft and glad you use the shoulder pads, because I think without them probably would dig into shoulders. I know they don't look pretty but are functional and that what counts. Please keep making these Bras! Cindy from Ia

I ordered this bra because the description about it on this website claimed a smooth fit, no cone shaped breasts. And this is important for me because almost always for my large size, the bras end up with many seams which inevitably shapes the breast in a cone. I'm sorry, though I love Madonna I do not want to look like her.

After reading so many glowing reviews, I was hoping this would be the bra for me. Unfortunately, it is not. The lack of an underwire made me feel unsupported, "droopy" and unattractive. My husband had the same reaction. I had raised welts between my breasts, and on my sides from the band rolling up and rubbing. It took days for the welts to heal, and in the meantime, I had to "let the girls run free", which is emotionally uncomfortable for me outside of my home. The color is beautiful and true to the picture. I liked the 5-hook set up in the back, and the padded shoulder pads/straps, however, the excess strap kept coming out of its slot, so I sewed the whole thing in place. The top two "eyes" are about to fall out, and the top hook fell out 2 weeks ago. I purchased this bra in August 2015 and it's December2015, so the craftmanship is substandard. My search for a COMFORTABLE, WEAR ALL DAY, plus-size bra continues.

Elila Response: Always wash your bras before wearing them to remove any finishes. If the bra band is moving around while you wear it go down a band size and up a cup. Be sure to have at least 3 bras in your wardrobe to give each one time to recover from wearing. One to wear, one to wash and one to rest. BaileyP from CO

Took a chance and placed an order for this bra which took nearly two weeks to arrive which was not the fault of Her Room ait was posted right away the day the order was placed. I live in the U.K. Being large busted it is very hard to find a good fitting bra this one ticks all the boxes. My tip in regards to size is to go up one size from what you normally wear. There was a label for returns included but thankfully I will not need it. I did have to pay £14 extra to customs and the post office to get the bra so for anyone placing an order from the U.K take that into consideration. I am very happy with the bra and service. I only gave this a 1 because the last time I ordered this bra it fit perfect and super comfy. This time it is to small in the cup and around my bust. Then again my old ones are broke in and these are new so maybe the old ones have stretched. When returning they are quick and easy so I'm not to worried. I just hope its right this time. Christie

Bought this in black, beige, red & lavender when I was told I could not wear my underwire bras after lumpectomy. On the plus side, it does fit and provides support (other non-wired bras tend to hang the “girls” at half-mast). The adjustable straps with lockdown buckles and generous shoulder pads that prevent slippage are a wonderful feature. But minuses are: excess strap length has to be tucked in (where it could irritate) or cut; the strap buckles tend to leave an impression in my skin and irritate; and the lining--especially the nonwoven fabric of the support sling (sort of like the non-hook half of Velcro) is very scratchy.

Elila Response: The elila strap length can be trimmed after you find the best adjusted length for your fit. Sandy from Chicago, IL USA

First off, this bra was HUGE. I would have needed to go down at least one, probably two, cup sizes in order for this to fit. (For reference, this is the size I wear in Fantasie and Freya and I wear one cup size larger in Panache.) I ordered this bra looking for something comfortable to put on when I get home on the days I just can't deal with underwire anymore. This bra was definitely not that, even if it had fit. The fabric wasn't soft and felt almost plastic-y on the inside of the cups and the edges of the seams were a little rough. I imagine that this could work for you if you're getting it for the cushioned straps and something supportive without underwire (although, to be honest, I couldn't even keep it on long enough to assess support), then it might work for you. If you're just looking for something comfortable for the end of the day, I'd keep looking.

HerRoom Response: On the Elila softcup styles we suggest going up a band and down two cups for just the right fit. So if your true size is a 34G(D4) you would need a 36 E(D2), which this bra unfortunately does not come in the new size you would need. We suggest trying the Elila 1301 this style is much softer and would come in the size you would need. Elizabeth from Massachusetts

Does not hold up large breasted women well enough. Lets you sag.

Elila Response: If you feel that you need more support double check the band to be sure that you can only fit two fingers underneath. If you can fit more than go down a band size and up a cup to get better support from the back. Anne from Casa Grande

I call this bra "old faithful" I always return to this style for an everyday lift, separation, and nice looking breasts. Shoulders have pads which help as you get older and gravity begins, the back does not ride up, and the reinforced cups keep your breasts looking their best. Wendy from Apache Junction, Arizona

This bra looked nice on the site but on my body the band does not have stretch at all so I had a hard time putting it on and adjusting the straps it just wasn't for me honestly.

HerRoom Response: On the Elila softcup styles we suggest going up a band and down two cups for just the right fit. So in this case you would wear a 40 F(D3) if your original size was a 42 H(D5). Elaina from Austin

If you are a woman with a large chest this bra is for you. The 3 Part cup allows for support without underwires. It is a stiff bra without a bunch of spandex in the material (again, for support). If you've never worn a bra like this it takes some getting "used to". In my opinion it is worth the "trouble." I actually enjoy this bra. It fits very well and looks good. There is no spillage and the straps are comfortable. The delivery time was great! I am a very hard to fit - a 32" rib cage and a 46" bust. I purchased the 34N, This bra fits according to most bra conversion charts I have viewed. The band is tight fitting with a slight stretch. The materials are heavy gauge;(that is necessary at my size). Yes the materials are stiff and scratchy at first, but they become more comfortable after wearings. This is a wire free bra. It offers good support and full coverage. NO it is not sexy, but ladies with large breasts need support. I was glad to to see the upgrade from plastic to metal clips on the straps. However, they did not hold up much longer.... I am going to stitch my straps in place. Sandra from UK

This bra definitely lifted like I need without use of underwire, but the trim on the inside is very itchy. I like the bra, but the itchy lining will probably keep me from buying another.

Elila Response: Thank you for your comments about the lining of the bra. It's best to hand wash and soak your bra before wearing to remove any finishes on the fabrics that may be abrasive. Charlene from Alabaster, Alabama

I bought this bra thinking that it would fit similar to the Elila 1303. I was wrong. While it appears to be cut the same, I found that the cups did not fit the breast nearly as well. It also does not have the boning on the side, which allows the cups to sag, rather than support heavy breasts. The shoulder pads do not stay put. I found it to be too long on the sides for my short torso. I am 5'2." The bra is well made and may work well for those who do not need firm support.

Elila Response: The Elila Jacquard Softcup Bra with Cushioned Straps 1305 is an extra firm full containment garment where as the Elila Lace Soft-cup Bra 1303 has a more forgiving fit. To get a more comfortable fit with the Elila Jacquard Softcup Bra with Cushioned Straps 1305 adjust the straps so they are tighter to lift the cup and help keep the strap pad from slipping, but not so tight that it hurts your shoulders. You may also put the extra strap length through the pad to give it more staying power. B from OH

Great bra, nice fit. I have worn daily for about a year. Not sure why it says in descrlption that the buckle has been field tested and never broken, the buckle on mine broke after only a few months! After putting buckle back together, it wouldn't stay together. The buckle is the only uncomfortable thing about this bra. If you don't mind it poking into you or can remove the buckle like I did (after it broke) and replace it with a different adjuster, then its a good bra. It has great coverage and is supportive! Tried this bra when I grew out of my Goddess. I was in a smaller size, but have gained a lot of weight this year and my breasts grew with me. LOVE this Bra! The band is a little snug but that can be remedied with an adjuster. Love the wide straps and wide five hook back. The cups have an inner sling in them and it helps to shape heavy breasts. I am in the 52N-cup size, could use a bigger cup still. Wish they offered this Bra in an O or P cup size. The Bra is stiff at first, but provides amazing uplift and separation. Really sticks them out there, I feel perky! Overall excellent construction for heavy breasts. Great Bra for the full busted woman. Try it, you won't be disappointed. LM from NY

I have a hard time finding anything in my size (34M) let alone a soft cup. This is one that actually supports. I've never had a soft cup that supports before. The only drawback is the width of the straps makes wardrobe choices limited. (I'm one of those old-fashioned people who thinks bras shouldn't be showing.) Molly from California

These bras are so wonderful. I have bought at least 9 of them before. I just love them for my shape. I'm petite and very very busty. These are very supportive and comfortable to wear. I just love not having an underwire and this is great! I know the straps are strange to wear but I did get use to them. Seems to help to not dig in. Now I bought 3 more and I had to go down a band size which is wonderful since lost weight. I hope you keep continuing to make them because I finally found the right bra for me! Not as comfortable as I had hoped for. Cups make my breasts "pointy" and is tighter than the other styles I had purchased with it. There is also some pinching and feels stiff. Straps are nice . I like the move-able pad for the shoulders. Once the girls are locked and loaded they'll stay put! I won't wear this as much though. Joan from Delhi, NY

I gave this 3 stars because for me this particular bra is uncomfortable and I don't like the shape it gives my breasts. Today is my first day having it on and within the first couple of minutes it was too scratchy for my shoulders even with the cushion pads. It doesn't hurt my shoulders as far as weight -it's not digging in. I also feel like it gives me a torpedo effect as I call it and makes my boobs point down. I have large breasts so maybe its the fit. It holds them up, just points them down. Nickole from KY USA

This bra fit well in the cups and is comfortable in the back support. However, it was itchy in the cups and along the nipples, and leaves a very itchy red area right on my rib cage underneath the right breast. However, I think if I wash and dry the bra, it may soften up. I usually never dry a bra in the dryer, but I am willing to give it a shot. This size is hard to find! Melody from Houston, TX USA

I have just got my Elila in a 36N and I am over the moon. I have very full and really heavy breasts but am quite narrow in the back. The deep sides and five hook back give me lots of support at the side and seem to spread the weight across my back rather than everything hanging on the straps. Unfortunately, it was too big in the cup. If I had kept it, I probably would have taken the padding off the straps. The fabric is not super soft, but the type that will not stretch out quickly. Having lost weight, I did careful measuring and reading of details and reviews and ordered 5 different bras, anticipating that I might have returns. Unfortunately, only one bra worked, but still wasn't a wonderful fit. The Elilia soft cup was the worse. This is THE BEST bra I have ever owned. I have very large breasts (J-cup). The wide cushioned straps eliminated the pain and reduced the depth of indenture of my shoulders. They never lose their support. They last forever. Of course, when wearing the correct size, the girls are all tucked in where they belong. There's no spilling over the sides or the top and when it's on, it's on...no adjusting throughout the day. I love that the strap adjustment locks into place. When you lock it down, the strap length remains where you set it unless/until you change it. I have had compliments from other women regarding the support and wearing the girls "where they belong". This is my wife's everyday bra that she relies on. She has worn the Elila 1305 for years and has found it to be reliable. Being very large busted, she wears a 44N an has few choices. The Elila bra has a great fit and support, even in her large size. The cups are a heavy duty construction and works well to shape and lift her breasts. She likes the full coverage cups and wide five hook back. The sides are very wide as well and helps to pull her breasts in the cups and forward. The wide shoulder straps fit nicely and don't slide off of her shoulders. The cups have inner slings that help with shaping. The bra is pretty with a pretty material. Not the sexiest bra, but flattering. Nice color selection too. Highly recommended for the larger breasted woman LM from NY

Maybe it is just me, but this is the worst bra I have every bought. I read many of the reviews and was excited to receive the bra only to be immediately disappointed. The fit is off. The band was way too small, which causes it to curl up when worn. Where do I start with the straps? The pads are bulky and look terrible under clothes. I think I got a lemon because both of the pads are facing the same direction so I had to turn one the wrong way so it would fit on my shoulder. The metal clasp that holds the strap for adjustment has cut into my skin leaving a painful scar. This is not the bra for me. Kim from Alaska

This bra is very pretty, supports my breasts well, and is very comfortable. I thought I was going to love the adjustable shoulder pads, but found they they slid all over. The bra was just as comfortable without them so they went in the trash. This bra is not stretchy at all and fits very high under the arms making it a bit hard to put on. I love the color and it washes just fine with the rest of the laundry. A+ from Spring, TX

This is my second time buying this bra, and I absolutely love it even more than I did the first time! I first bought this bra a few years back in a size 42K and I loved how comfortable it was and how it was able to support my very heavy breasts, but after about a month and a half, the plastic clasps broke and I started my search for the perfect bra elsewhere. Since then I've gotten a bit heavier and so have my breasts which feel much heavier, so I decided to check this bra out again, and I read that the clasps had been changed from the dreaded plastic to metal. I am now the proud owner of this bra in a 44N and I couldn't be happier! I'm no longer worried or paranoid that one of the clasps is gonna break from the weight of my breasts while I'm out and about. Its amazing that the one adjustment to the clasps has made me feel 10x better about this bra than I did before! Paislee from South Carolina

The cups were a bit too large, so I have some bunching, not a lot, but some. Also, the material is incredibly scratchy, so for me, it was a very uncomfortable bra. I have been looking for a good, comfortable wire-free bra, which is hard to find for larger busts. This one is not it. Linda

I bought this according to my universal size and found the band size to be too small and the cup size too large. Definitely not true to size. I might try it in a 36K because it does seem to offer a lot of support for a no-underwire bra, but it has a very 'cardboard'-y feel to me. A'ishah from Lawrence, KS USA

This is the only bra I have found that really fits. The cups are really accommodating. The 7" wide side bands and five hook back give great support and help relieve the strain on my shoulders. My bust is very large and heavy but this bra really does the job. A bit scary to look at in the 50N but really comfortable to wear Steff from UK

The fit is really about the best I've found, but I found this bra to be uncomfortably stiff. My work requires a wide range of motion and with 12-hour shifts the lack of flexibility of this bra caused a lot of discomfort. Not having pinchy underwire is great, but the nearly cardboard feel when the bra is on pretty much negates that. The stiffness is a surprise, because when I hold the bra in my hands the fabrics feel very flexible. Perhaps softer, more flexible materials would decrease the wear life of the garment, but it would be worthwhile in my opinion. Karima from Bloomington, IN, USA

This bra is the best if you have large and heavy breasts. I am a 40H and have have a difficult time finding a bra that is gives me support and comfort all day. When I first tried this bra on, I loved the lift and support but I found my correct 40 band size constricting, the cups and straps "stiff". But after reading other reviews, I wore the Elita Jacquard bra a few hours and the bra become much more comfortable. Now the the bra is" broken in '"-I love it! The wide padded straps, wide sides and back now give me support and comfort all day and evening. I have purchased three more Elila Jacquard Bras and this has become my everyday bra! The only negative is the 50"s retro styling of the cups. I can now walk around confidently all day, with by breast firmly supported and no bounce or sway even in walking in high heels! This bra is very well made with very high quality fabric and 4 hook adjustments on the back, it should last and fit well for a long time. Ann from Marborough MA

I just tried this bra in 34J mocha. This bra is very pretty and thoughtfully designed. It seems like a quality product that would last a long time. The strap adjustment system is something I'd never seen before and liked it. This might be the most supportive non-compression soft cup bra I have ever tried, so if you want firm non-wire support, try it. However, I am returning it this one. I found the fabric too stiff and scratchy for me and I know it would drive me crazy. That's just me - I have sensitive skin, might not bother other women. Oh, I did feel the cups run a little bit large. If I had decided to keep this bra, I would have had to exchange it for a cup size down. I am 34J (D7) and although the band was a nice fit, the cups had quite a bit of extra room on both sides. So keep that in mind if you're between sizes. Hope that helps someone! I loved the padded adjustable straps on this bra. The cups fit well. There was no problem with the straps trying to slide off my shoulders. However, there was a big problem with the band rolling on the sides and in the front. I never even got a chance to try on a top with the bra because the band rolled just lifting my arms. While this bra had a lot of features that I really appreciated the rolling band kept me from staying with this style. Barbara from Excelsior Springs, MO

Love many things about this bra...the back is wide and so comfortable, no back fat, the straps have extra padding, also very comfy. My dislikes...the cup is pointy, reminded me of an old fashioned cone bra from the the 20's, also it didn't come in my specific size, which is 32G. The 34F does fit just fine and I'm a seamstress of sorts so I tucked the bra tips in and sewed the points down. I actually think I like this bra enough that I would do my little sewing trick again and buy it again. Sure wish they would make a molded, rounded cup, which I prefer. This bra fits well, and the 'comfort' straps do seem to reduce shoulder fatigue. The comfort straps made me feel like I had to adjust them several times a day, but that may go away once I'm used to them. Also, the band around the chest folds up to the shelf under the bra (because I have a big belly that starts right there), and that was uncomfortable, but that seems to be true for every bra I own (I only use non-wired bras). The bra was wonderful. The fit is snug and it stays where it supposed to be all day long, no riding up or sliding around. I would recommend this bra for large busted women. The extra padding on the shoulder straps kept the non-stretch straps from cutting into my shoulders. The locking clips on the straps also holds very well and do not slip. I would recommend taking the size suggestions into consideration; I did and the bra fit perfectly. Robbi

Thank God I was able to find this bra again online! Ordered several some time ago from a catalog and haven't been able to find more since. For me personally it's the BEST bra I've ever found and the one I hope to wear forever. This bra is extremely sturdy and straps are FULLY adjustable which I've never seen in a bra before. This is perfect for me since I always find the straps to be too long and usually the band is too large ... but this fits tight around the band with large enough cup size. And by the way if you want to look like you just had a bust LIFT get this bra! Get this bra on and your girls will be saluting the flag! 5 stars. Keep the metal clasps and don't change a thing! this bra is comfortable if you buy the right size. There is almost no elastic in the band (which is fine if you adust for it) go up at least 1 band size (but be prepared you may have to send it back) once you get the right size its nice. The elastic in the band is extremely firm. So much so that even going up 2 band sizes I could not stretch it around me to fasten it. I managed to fasten it in the front but it was so tight I couldn't turn it. I think if I could try it on to find the correct fit without having to ship the wrong sizes back and forth, I might like the bra. I've already shipped 2 back. I'm done with this brand.

Our bra has very firm control so that when you take your band measurement you will need to add a few more inches or check your underarm measurement around your back and use that as your band size in order to get the fit that would be best for you. Joy from Indiana

Bra is well made and and I like the padded straps tha adjust in the front. However, it fits like armor - here is the problem - I followed your site's advice and measured carefully- why does a bra that is sized "44" measure less than 39 inches at the band? It is tight - I cannot wear it for more than a few hours - eventually it will stretch or I may lose a few pounds. But, I have about 6 bras - all sized 44 and they all measure something much less, and all are different. Renee from Philadelphia, PA

I had one of these bras from a few years ago and wanted to try this brand again when I was looking for a soft cup instead of an underwire. I was not disappointed! Great fit, even though the larger cup size meant 5 fasteners instead of 4. I was able to wear it all day, and had no discomfort at all. S.C. from Nashville, TN

This turned out to be the answer for me!! I'm full figured and my girls are very different sizes, so finding a bra that works on both sides and is comfortable is a real challenge. I've been using another Elia bra, but this one gives more support and the shoulder straps stay up. I'm definitely getting another one. Beverly from Richmond, VA

I purchased this for my sister, who is disabled. She is very short, but heavier and rather large busted. Many times the larger bras have straps that don't adjust short enough, which is why this bra is so great. The pads on the shoulders are nice, too. Support is very good, and she is not falling out of the cup. Barbara from New Richmond, WI

I have worn a 36 for decades. This one left a 4 inch gap between ends. There was no way I could even close this! All my other bras, I have always worn on the tightest hook. I couldn't even get it on to evaluate it. Big disappointment.

I am sorry to hear about the band size. Elila manufacturers their bras with a longer band length than most brands. I would suggest trying Jacquard Front Close Softcup Bra 1515. This is a front closure that you might find more accommodating. Lynda from Danville, CA

Best bra for support. No give in fabric and very well made. Wish straps were wider and more padding, but better than any other bra I have found to support larger breasts so far. This is the best supporting bra with no wires or boning and has a nice variety of colors. Ruth from Lakeland, FL-US

This bra was comfortable and sturdy feeling, but when I tried it on it seemed that something was not right. I finally compared it to my old, worn out Playtex bra (which supposedly is 2 cup sizes too small) by looking in the mirror and saw the problem: my breasts in this bra sat a good 2 inches lower on my chest than in the old one. I tried cinching up the straps but the girls didn't levitate any. There's no way I want my breasts residing halfway between my shoulders and my waist!! Am going back to the too-small Playtex which seems to fit better and costs 1/3 the price. Heather from Albany OR USA

There is nothing I liked about this bra. The band on a 42 was only 37 inches long. It didn't even come close to fitting. When I ordered a larger band size, I found the cups to be far too small and, naturally, the straps made my shoulders ache almost instantly. The cups made my breasts point more towards my sides than forward and gave them a very conical shape. There are almost no bras in my size, and this, despite it's stated size, is not one of them. LD

The bra was the wrong size in the cup and around- too tight and I was pouring out. Plus I didn't care for the extra shoulder pads, I know what they are for...to help support the girls, but it is extra bulk to show when trying to keep your bra straps out of view. Dawn from The Woodlands, TX

I ordered this bra, because of all the great reviews, most of the bras that I purchase only support for a few weeks. I put this bra on and it felt like it could do the job, my breast stood up and had a pointy shape, which I could deal with, but IT WAS KILLING MY SHOULDERS RIGHT AWAY, I found the strap to be very uncomfortable. I usually order DDD(3D) but I always come out the bottom, so I thought I'd try a G cup, this is my first time ordering cup size G, and I was bulging out the sides. It felt too small for me, I don't know what to do about this bra. Will a larger cup size eliminate the strain/pain on my shoulders? Please help!!! Ericka from West Palm Beach, Fl

I took off comfort strap part and had to sew the straps. The clasps were OK. They held. The front band is not elastic only the back section is elastic. The band is kind of tight...even going up 1 size. I wore it and will continue to wear it. It's too expensive not to wear. Cup support is good. TXChik from Tyler, TX

The garment offers no side support whatsoever. My breasts do not appear round, but are flattened in this bra. The straps are not cushioned enough for a natural N-cup. Cushioning straps are highly desirable. My breasts are big and heavy. The base/bottom of the bra sits real low under the breasts themselves. So if the circumference immediately under your breasts is smaller than the circumference at the top of your stomach, use the larger number when placing your bra order. The bra gets 2 stars for not riding up by the end of the day. Consumer DiDi from East coast/USA

I loved the bra. I have always had trouble finding a bra that fit properly. I love the straps because of the weight I had to carry has always caused large indentations in my shoulders and they hurt all the time while I was in a bra. I like the uplift that this bra creates. I also love the couple inches below the bra because I was forever losing part of my structure underneath the bra. Also the firmness of the bra itself is very important. Eventually all the bras I bought seemed to lose all elasticity in a short time and I always felt I might as well not even be wearing a bra because there was no stability to it. I was very unsure about the measurement system you use. I always wore a DDD and now I had to choose a different way, but your measurement chart helped me considerably to make that decision. This bra is just what ive been dreaming of. Being a 38N, my breasts are heavy beyond belief and none of my bras have seemed to do the job of supporting such a load, until now that is. I have never had a bra with 5 hooks in my life so i was amazed to see how comfortable it was and how much it helped to make sure that the weight of my large breasts is taken by the band like its supposed to instead of the straps. This bra also does a great job of keeping the bouncing boob effect to a minimum which is an amazing feat alone! I only wish that this bra came in a larger cup size cause after owning this style and size for a while now, it is starting to get small on me :( but i wont rate it down for that. After all the rave reviews, I was very disappointed. Even though the band was very snug, as it should be, and the cups seemed to fit fine, the only way my girls would be held up as shown is the photo was to make the straps very tight. All the weight was on my shoulders! Being pregnant, I was hoping to find good support in a non underwire bra, but I don't think that's possible for me. I will stick with good sports bras instead, which offer both support and comfort. Jill from Downingtown, PA

My breast are very heavy and this is the only bra that gives me the support without hurting my shoulders or back. They feel soft and comfortable. There is no other bra for me. Rezia from Detroit, MI USA

I actually did not find the need for the additional Cushioned Straps, and love that they are removable, I took them off as it is comfortable without them, but love that they come with the garment. This is a very comfortable and true to size bra. I will be purchasing my bras from this site from now on, very speedy service and very good product. Helen from Memphis, TN, USA

I love this bra. I order the same one each time. It's the only bra that I have found that lifts my heavy breasts and separates them as well. I can't say enough good things about it and highly recommend it. Me. from Oklahoma

This is the One!! Finally a bra that takes my large chest and holds it up, and in, with out an underwire, giving me the best support. I look so much better in what ever I put on. Good foundations is the key. This is bra is a must have for any women who is bigger then a Double "D". I am already placing my second order. SHANNA from ARIZONA

I bought these bra's for my wife. She is very hard to find a bra that she likes because most stores don't carry her size. She is a Registered Nurse and has to wear a bra for 14 hours straight usually. This bra is by far the most comfortable bra she has ever worn. She absolutely loves it. Brian from Columbia City, IN USA

This bra offers plenty of slimming coverage in the back, but the cups make your breasts look like torpedo's. I had to return it. Lema

The material felt very coarse on this bra. The fit was HUGE though (all other bras in this size do fit me) - the cups were enormous and I'm wondering if it was marked incorrectly. Returned it because it didn't fit. Mary from Arcadia/CA/USA

Finally!! A good bra w/ excellent fit & comfort. At size 48L I almost gave up hope. Although my breast are big & heavy, this bra holds up .The shoulder straps are also strong and don't dig into your skin. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate this bra a 12 (easy!) . Dee Dee from Roswell,GA

This bra probably has great support. I found the size that worked for me in another brand just didn't give me a comfortable fit in this bra. The band was uncomfortably snug, and the cups were too large. In addition, the straps were short. As I have arthritis in my shoulders and have to do the fastening in the front and sliding the bra around to the back bit, this made it difficult for me to get my arms into the bra after it was fastened. If I didn't have to do that, it probably would have been easy enough to get on. However, it felt like an Iron Maiden and it made me miserable just for the few minutes it was on. Had to return. Might try a different size later. Renata from Chicagoland

Very firm support, but it is a bit pointy and moves my breast out to the side - they look ridiculous and I will be returning the bra. It is very supportive and firm, but I felt like the support came more from the shoulder straps than the bra itself. Rachel from Philadelphia, PA

This bra gives me great support. I have quite a narrow back but very full front. The wide five hook back is comfortable and helps ensure that as much of the weight of my big bust is taken by the band rather than the straps. The fabric of the bra is quite stiff but it is this very structured approach to its design that results in such good support. I could actually do with one cup size larger if possible. This is a lovely bra for larger busts when you don't want the discomfort of underwires. The band is very snug and you may want to move up one band size. I'm very pleased and will order the matching pantie, too. Dee from Crown Point, In, USA

I am a 42 G but I have been losing weight and thought I should go down a size smaller. Ooops bad call. But I am using an extender so that solved that problem. I really like this bra. It is very comfortable, the straps are wide enough and they give more control in how tight or loose you want them. I love the metal clamps. They are very sturdy. I will be buying more but this time in the right size!:} TJ from Houston, TX

This bra provides great support. The five hook back and firm straps are a real blessing for minimising bounce. I'm quite self conscious of my big boobs as I have a very narrow back and small waist but this bra gives me a great shape even under a t-shirt. Janice from Ohio

Excellent support but still trying to get used to stiff material. Not comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time.

Elila Response: 1305 is a bra that works wonders on a woman who need the support that this bra gives. Also, after several washings this fabric will soften up a bit and be a good support bra for all day wear. R Glenn from NC

I sent the bras back. The bra was the most uncomfortable bra I have ever tried.

Elila Response: The 1305 is a bra that works wonders on a woman who needs the support this bra gives. This bra is a firm support bra, if you are looking for something less firm we suggest you try Elila 1303 or Elila 1607. Patricia from Ocean Shores

I've been wearing the Elila bra for years. The change to plastic tabs on the straps was a mistake. They can't hold 30 pounds worth of chest. I ordered a bra three weeks ago and it broke two weeks later. Change the bra back!

HerRoom Response: Our inventory has been switched out to all metal tabs.

Elila Response: We have converted our stock back to metal so you can look forward to wearing your Elila bra. Jdaff from Laredo/TX/US

I have been wearing this style of bra for years. This last one I ordered TWO weeks ago had plastic tabs to adjust the bra straps instead of the normal metal clamps. At first I thought they would be a nice change and not dig into my shoulders as much as the metal. One of the plastic tabs broke this week. This bra is not the most comfortable, but it's the most supportive I've been able to find and they usually last for ever. The change to plastic was wrong and needs to be changed back. I now have no idea where I can find a bra that will fit me AND be of good quality.

HerRoom Response: We appreciate this feedback. Our inventory now only has bras with a metal clasp.

Vendor Response: We have converted our stock back to metal so you can look forward to wearing your elila bra. Julie from Texas/US

Disappointed with the manufacturer of this bra. On the website this bra appears to have a metal clasp for strap adjustment. Instead of the sturdy metal clasp, this bra comes with a weak plastic piece that breaks apart when straps are adjusted. If the bra were manufactured as advertised with metal clasps, it would be perfect for larger cup sizes. This bra is going back!.

HerRoom Response: We have pulled all bras where there is a plastic clasp and have replaced with metal inventory. Thank you for letting us know.

Elila Response: We have converted our stock back to metal so you can look forward to wearing your Elila bra. Stephanie from CT

I thought this bra would be too hot in the summer but am finding that is not so. It is very comfortable and I don't have to add shoulder protection pads as the built in ones are just fine. It is very good at holding me up and I can wear it all day with no problem. I now have 3 of them! Mary from Atascadero,Ca..USA
