Eco-friendly meets with comfort and style when it comes to Ecoland. Ecoland helps protect skin of all ages by dressing it in organic cotton. The company believes they are doing their part to protect the planet by producing the best quality organic cotton apparel. Ecoland will not use any toxic chemicals when creating any of their products. The pure and clean line of clothing does not use unnecessary printing or trimming to enhance the garments helping those who wear it help save the environment.
Ecoland has remained a small family-owned company as they have grown into an international business. Ecoland began by adopting the movement of classic colors and styles called the Slow Fashion Movement. Everything is and will always be based on simplicity mixed with sustainability. The thought behind the Slow Fashion Movement is that no matter how much the styles change over the years, these fashions will remain timeless and can be worn for many years. Ecoland is not a brand of bright colors and broad patterns, but one of simple and elegant classic designs made from organic cotton.
In the past decade there has been a push to “go green.” Ecoland follows this mission by only using organic cotton in all of their clothing. They use Global Organic Textile Standard certified organic cotton. With so many people turning to organic and green products, there is no wonder Ecoland is paving the way for organic sleepwear, and activewear like the Ecoland Sports Bra. Some companies use bamboo or soy in their production, but Ecoland only uses organic cotton. This type of cotton is is made by the use of insects, crop rotation, compost, cover crops and weeds instead of toxic chemicals. Another trend of Ecoland is all labels are tagless. Each label is printed with water-based inks.
Customers say the undergarments are wonderful for anyone suffering from skin allergies. There are no chemicals used in the garments helping alleviate any sensitivity. Customers rave that by making each garment organically Ecoland must put a lot of love and hard work into its products. Mothers say they buy only Ecoland products for their children to protect them from any chemicals put in many pieces of clothing. Other say Ecoland products fit them well and do not slide throughout the day.
Ecoland continues to push each day to be a totally environmentally friendly business. In 2009 Ecoland moved production from overseas to the US to help reduce carbon emissions. They also pack garments in recycled paper boxes printed with soy-based inks to be shipped. Shipping boxes are also reused and paper tapes seals the boxes shut. One day in the future they hope to develop a recycling program for the apparel so it will have a second life. Ecoland also partners with others that have their same outlook on the environment. A percentage of all web orders is given to non profits who support Ecoland's cause.
Ecoland hopes to help you sleep comfortably while helping save the environment. With so many chemicals thrown into clothing production these days, it's nice to know there are some companies out there dressing us in the type of clothing our ancestors made by hand. Many of these clothes have withstood the test of time without emitting chemicals into the air. Ecoland will create that same type of garment helping you feel clean, pure and comfortable.
