This is the most comfortable bra I have, I've already purchased another one. I am hard to fit and I have some bras that have great support, but I just can't wear them all day. This one is pretty and has full coverage. I don't stick out over the cup.

It's a great bra for all kinds of activities. However, it's not the best for running or horseback riding, those require a sports bra. This bra is supportive and pretty. It does some minimizing. I wish it gave a little more lift up front.

The overall fit is very nice. Comfortable but flattering. The reason I returned it is that when I move, the fabric rubs against the underwire and makes a noise. I sounds like material is straining. Not just my imagination - my husband could hear too
HerRoom Response: I believe you are referring to a kind of "squeek" noise. This can happen on very rare occasions when the fabric beign threaded through the circle of the strap is a little too big and the rubbing makes a noise. This can be resolved with fabric softener.

This bra looks cute on the model, but did not fit me correctly. The cup size was too big by a little bit so there were lines from the extra fabric at the top. The lace at the bottom I found to be itchy as well. It's too bad!
HerRoom Response: This long-standing favorite bra runs true to size. Sounds like you simply need to tighten your straps to get the correct fit in the cups.

Being a 4D support is important. In one of the emails I received Tomimia went over what a muti- cup bra has to offer. The cups fit well, however I was disappointed in the band. It is very stretchy, does not stay snug. How to fix my issue?
We are sorry to hear you don't feel the band is very stretchy. This is not our experience. In fact, this bra is used by many retailers as their "fit" bra due to all it's great features.

Worn this style for years. Excellent Support, comfort and longevity. Most recent purchases are different. The band material is lighter, straps narrower and thinner and there’s something different in the cup. Not happy.
HerRoom Response: Your comment is surprising. This very popular style has been around for years. Your comment was sent to Chantelle for a response.

This was a very nice bra.. unfortunately the wire hit me under my arms.. that made it very uncomfortable and pinched me.. had to return.
HerRoom Response: You have left this comment on a few bra reviews. Your underwire is not sitting far enough back under your arm so this means your cup size is too small. Go up a cup and make sure you put all your breast tissue in front of your underwire.

Got this bra style after taking the bra fit quiz here. This bra style was recommended. It is def not full coverage!. I wear 34I in Wacoal n Glamorise. I was falling out of this one. Straps too elastic, why? Who wants bounce at 34I?

Pretty bra, but works out to be a little bit of a minimizer on me - makes me look smaller and a little pointier shape than the usual t-shirt bras I'm used to. I feel a little strapped in, which I'm hoping eases up with some wear. I usually wear a C cup but had to go up to a D.

Very pretty bra, sexy and shapes well with perfect lift and without excessive projection. The lace is prominent under light weight fabric, but that is no surprise given the obvious design of the bra. Not an everyday bra. but quite nice as a special occasion bra under the right clothing.

This is one of the best bras for side support and comfort. I have worn almost every high end brand and this is a perfect fit. At a 42F most underwire bras are uncomfortable or don't fit well. Many of my friends have almost given up on a good fit. This is quite good for minimizing back fat also. Very pretty bra. I have it in three colors. Thanks.

I owned this bra once before when I was a smaller size and loved it, that's why I bought it again. I love the way it supports on the sides of the breasts, fits close against my breastbone and is low enough for deep v-neck tops. The only time I can't wear it is with t-shirts or tight fitting tops where the lace & seams may show through the material; in those cases I opt for a seamless minimizer.

This is my favorite bra! I have it in two colors and plan to purchase more. It's comfortable, fits perfectly (I'm usually between 32H and 34H), and looks great. I've received lots of compliments from girlfriends about how well it shapes my figure. One caveat is that the lace is visible under thin materials, so I wouldn't wear this with certain fabrics.

This bra is great. Not sure exactly about the correct sizing though becasue the wire won't lay flat in between my breasts. But otherwise it seems to fit great and is conformable, so not sure what is wrong. I am working on trying different strap adjustments to fix that, but have not found the solution yet. Still like it though.

This was one of the bras that was suggested for the problem of protruding nipples. The seems and construction were supposed to be able to minimize them. Not true. I thought the fabric was too thin and this is not as structured as I thought, the fabric would need to be stiffer.. This can only be worn when I'm layering tops or with sweaters. I am keeping it as it is comfortable and lifts well, gives my breasts a nice, natural shape without spillage on the sides. I think this would be a 5 star bra for someone who doesn't have nipple issues.
Chantelle Response: Hi Gretchen. We are sorry to hear that the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup Bra 3281 did not provide the modesty you had expected. Often times the placement of seams can help provide modesty, but it sounds like a firmer material might work better. We recommend the Chantelle Rive Gauche Full Coverage T-Shirt Bra 3286 which will give you a similar lift and shape, but have a firmer pad to eliminate any nipple show through.

Great coverage and support and most importantly the natural shape of the breast remains. When you have larger breasts it is so hard to get that natural look. I think half the bras I try on make me look like I have breast implants that are too large because there just aren't many bras made for people like me with a smaller band size and a large cup size. I give Chantelle a lot of credit for creating a bra that works for all body types and looks and feels natural. This is definitely a holy grail bra!

The bra is beautiful. It’s also okay comfort wise, but as a plus size woman the sides of the bra are too narrow/shallow. The garment is probably for women with smooth (as opposed to fleshy) sides and back; for me it left an unflattering silhouette that doesn’t look so in other styles and brands . I also found the 2 hook strap did not give enough support.
Chantelle Response: Hi! Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I am sorry that you were not happy with the Rive Gauche Underwire Bra (Style 3281). From your comments, it sounds like you may need a different size. Sometimes breast tissue hangs out on the sides of our body and by increasing to a 42E you may find that you get more support and containment. We also recommend trying the Chantelle Saint Michel Unlined Back Smooth Bra (Style 2721)which has a wider back smoothing band and a deep cup that provides great containment.

This bra has great support and wonderful profile (soft and round). The lace was a little itchy on the first wearing, but was fine by the second time. I took a star off because the straps are all elastic-I feel it would have been more practical (long term) to have only partial elastic straps. It is not 100% no-show/no-peek through coverage, but enough for my taste. Great rating for support though!

I now have four bras in this style, and it's my absolute favorite. It's the most supportive (and sexy!) bra that I own. I particularly appreciate that the center gore sits snugly against my breast bone and actually keeps my breasts separated. I also like the shape and the lace, which is not at all scratchy. It's a little pricey, but absolutely worth the cost--I've had two bras in this style that have lasted for two years so far, and don't seem likely to give out anytime soon.

I used the new KYB Bra Finder and chose a bra that it suggested. I don't know whether most of the bras it suggested were made by Chantelle because that is the brand that fits me best or because that is the brand that I have bought in the past. In any case it suggested this Chantelle bra. It fits okay, but not as well as the Chantelle Hedona Molded Underwire that I have been wearing for years. I was disappointed.
HerRoom Response: If you liked Hedona consider trying C Magnifique 1891, the cup is seamless just like Hedona.

Fit is everything and varies a great deal among brands. Fit varies a great deal among models and styles within a brand. With large, heavy breasts. I want full coverage, separation, and good support. The Chantelle Rive Gauche has all these qualities with a feminine look and excellent side support. A Wacoal Embrace Lace and Retro Chic 38DDD fit well, while a Chantelle 38DDDD (G) fits perfectly.

This is my favorite everyday bra! It's supportive but light, and the underwires don't dig in under the arms. I do think the band runs loose, so I usually go down a coordinating size (I wear a 38 in other bras, but buy the 36 in this one)

This bra's straps were uncomfortable and the quality was terrible. The sewing of the lace to the bra form came out after 3 washings. I've never had such a bad experience with a Chantelle bra before. I was very disappointed.

This beautiful bra provides great support & does a pretty good job of rounding the breasts. My favorite bras so far are Chantelle's minimizer (the best all purpose bra) & the Chantelle 1897 (it's a molded push-up bra that actually makes my breasts look round & high & provides great cleavage). So far, I haven't bought a Chantelle bra I didn't love!

I purchased this bra in grey, which is a very pretty color. The fabric, however, is very thick, not lacy as it appears in the photos. Washing does not fix the softness and it is not sheer. The fit is also larger in the cups than other Chantelle bras I own. Basically a disappointment.
HerRoom Response: The cups are lined after a D cup for modesty and support. This bra has a very full cup so if you are on the smaller end of your size it could fit a little larger than most of your bras. Consider going down a cup size to help accommodate for this.

I have tried so many bras only to madly whip them off at the end of a workday. This bra is actually comfortable without digging and binding me. I have dense heavy breasts and find it torture to have to strap my boobs in daily. This bra was so nice, I bought 2 more! I have so many that sit in my drawer after a day of torture, never to wear again. I will most likely re purchase if this bra shows any wear. I wash and hang to dry, easy!!!

It's one of the very few bras that work for keeping you supported at larger cup sizes while still being insanely comfortable for all day wear. The lace edge is also great for that smooth look under shirts, and also keeps everything in place so you don't have spillage up top.

Very pretty, very pricey ,very supportive. My first Chantelle. Cups give an attractive rounded shape .Cup fabric could be a bit firmer. All support comes from band and wire. Not from straps. This is good as they are too wide set and stretchy. (Cost bra one star.) Rive Gauche is comfortable and well made. A keeper.

I love this bra. easy to wear. with this chantelle bra my back and my shoulders don't hurt. the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because my band size is really a 30 so after wearing it on the tightest hook a few times, I had to start wearing 2 of the hooks on the decorative metal bar that is next to the hooks on back. it's perfect , cup is perfect. center sits on b bone. it's too $

I first discovered this bra because HerRoom recommended it in reviews for a different reviewer. I absolutely love it. First I bought the 34G, but have lost a little weight and just got the 32G - perfect fit. The bergundy color is gorgeous!! One trick I learned with the smaller size was instead of overtightening the shoulder straps, to loosen the straps a little so that breast tissue isn't pushed sideways making the underwire rub my inner arm. The support and shape are the best I've ever experienced. I am an active mom, constantly bending over, jumping, and need support. The quality from HerRoom has also been perfect. I have experienced underwire quality issues from a different store in the same bra. I am very happy with the quality from HerRoom.

I tried both the 34F and the 36F and had a hard time deciding, but used the HerRoom fit videos to help me! This bra is beautiful and elegant. It's my first non-nursing bra in 3 years, after having two babies two years apart. I'm glad I started with a comfortable, flattering bra like this! This bra came recommended to me by several other nursing moms, a few of whom had a department store convert it in to a nursing bra for them. I wish I had thought of that too, because this is a lovely shape. I am giving it 4 stars only because it hasn't softened up as quickly as I might like. I think it will be another wash or two before it's as comfortable as it can be. I appreciate the curve underwire and the natural, separated uplift! I can't wait to try more colors!

I am a breast cancer survivor. Part of my left breast was removed and after lots of radiation I probably need a C-D cup on my left breast. I need at least an E cup on my right. This bra fits both cups and give me the support I need. I love the materials it is made of; soft but yet supports. I have sensitive skin and this is important. Herroom was easy shipping my order in a timely fashion. Thank you.

I love this bra!! It's comfortable and gorgeous. As someone who can't wear "plunge" bras and needs a lot of support, it is very rare to find a bra that works--AND makes you feel sexy at the same time. It's not a T-shirt bra, but the lace shows through shirts less than most other lacy bras do, which is nice.

I must have done the quiz incorrectly because this bra did not work for me at all. After breastfeeding two children, I'm left with little to no volume in the top of my breasts. This bra showed that. The top of the cup was wrinkled and not at all attractive looking. The bra itself is beautiful and I'm sure it would be great for someone with a full cup. But if you are lacking in volume at the top, this is not the bra to help correct this.
Chantelle Response: Hi Wendi! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are glad to hear you think 3281 is beautiful (we agree with you!), but are sorry to hear that it didn't fit you as well as you had hoped. As this style is full-coverage, it might not be the best option if you're lacking volume at the top of your breasts, as you had mentioned was the case. We would suggest trying a style with less coverage so that the cups hit the fullest parts of your breasts, minimizing the occurance of wrinkling in the cups. Some great recommendations for you are "Illusion Unlined" (style 2141), which is a gorgeous non-padded style with average coverage cups that lay completely flat against all breast types, and "Basic Invisible" (style 1241), which has memory foam cups that mold to your bust from your body heat, giving you a custom fit with every wear. We hope this helps!

Love Chantelle bras - they provide great support and are beautiful as well. This bra was terribly uncomfortable. I've worn this bra (same size) before and the wire on this recent one digs in and leaves indentations on my chest. It's quite painful. Not sure the cause - maybe they revamped the design? Would not recommend!
Chantelle Response: Hi Krista! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, and for your nice compliments about our bras. We are so sorry to hear that your new 3281 wasn't as comfortable as your old one, and we assure you that the design hasn't changed. One of the biggest reasons behind wire poking/indentation is due to wearing the wrong size. If the band is too snug, or the cup is too small, this can cause visible (and painful) marks on the body. However, if the fit seems to be perfect and you're still experiencing painful indentations, this style might just not the best option for you - the center gore of the bra might come up too high on your breast bone, or the underwire might come up too high and rub under your arm. In that case, we would suggest you try something with a lower center gore (more of a "plunging" neckline), and an underwire that doesn't come up as high under the arm. Our recommendation is the "Parisian 4-Part-Cup" (style: 1471) because it has the same great support as 3281, but its plunging neckline and lower underwire construction under the arm minimizes the chances of any irritation on the skin. We hope this helps!

I ordered a number of styles/sizes from HerRoom to find the best fit for me. This is a very pretty bra and seemed true to size, though it does not offer the same smoothness under a T-shirt or thin blouse that other styles do. I also found the underwire to be a bit less comfortable than the Olga bra and Vanity Fair bras I wound up keeping. I wish I liked this one more, as it is certainly sexier than the bras I kept. I wound up going for function over form, however, and I'm glad I did.
Chantelle Response: Hi MMS! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We love that you think 3281 is so pretty - we definitely agree with you! The cups of this style are made of a beautiful floral stretch-lace, and while the lace lays smooth under most tops, it might not be the best option when wearing extra thin tops for individuals who are more sensitive to lace showing through. In this case, a fully smooth style, like our "C Magnifique" (style: 1891) is an excellent alternative. Not only is this style completely invisible under clothing, but it also has a lightly padded underwire and straps, making it the ultimate in comfort. We hope this helps!

Not so comfortable to me.
Chantelle Response: Hi Faith! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are sorry to hear that 3281 wasn't comfortable for you, especially because this is one of our top selling styles. We'd love to know more about what parts of the bra weren't comfortable so that we can provide you with some recommendations that are sure to provide you the ultimate in comfort. In the meantime, one style we'd suggest for you is our "C Magnifique" (style: 1891). From the lightly padded underwire and straps, to the completely smooth, non-padded, strech cups, and the ultra soft and wide band, this bra is the pillar of comfort at Chantelle, and one of our most popular styles with our customers. If you're looking for something with more structure, our "Parisian 4-Part-Cup" (style: 1471) has a buttery soft band, soft and breathable cups made of light mesh, and supportive seams in the cups that center the breast tissue, narrow the waist, and remain virtually invisible under clothing. We hope this helps!

The middle panel is really uncomfortable -- this hard, pressing presence on my breastbone. My settled breasts leave the top of the cups unfilled and prone to bunching. the underwire does not sit flat on my chest. the lace shows through a thick t-shirt.
However, the color is nice and the material feels nice and durable.
Chantelle Response: We are sorry that the 3281 isn't fitting you the way you would like. You had mentioned that the underwire wasn't sitting flat on your chest, which leads us to think that it might be possible you're wearing a band size that is too large. The reason being is that, when your underwire fits correctly, it should lay flat against your body at all times. A band that is too large can also cause bunching in the cup because there isn't enough tension in the band to pull the cups back towards your breast tissue. If you think the band is indeed too big, try this bra in a 34F (which is the sister size of your 36E). If the fit seems correct, then this style just might not be right for you. In that case, we'd suggest our "C Magnifique" (style 1891), which has completely smooth, soft, full-coverage cups, lightly padded straps and underwire, and a wide band that supports busts, while smoothing the back.

Great bra! It has always been so hard to find a bra in my size that fits properly and support. This one gives me great support and I don't have any "boob bulge" popping out! I love the way this bra fits me and the way it looks under clothing, except for two things: 1. The wires hit my underarms and are thus uncomfortable. (I don't feel the wires in my Wacoal slimline seamless minimizer bra, but this Chantelle one fits me better and looks better than the Wacoal, except for the wire problem.) 2. I prefer a seamless bra, as I don't like seams showing through my clothes. Even though this is not a minimizer, it makes me look smaller than the Wacoal -- which is good.

I wanted to love this bra. It's a beautiful bra -- it looks so good, both by itself and under clothes. Vintagey appeal. But, like a couple other reviewers said, the center underwire is way too high for me. It presses into my chest and is extremely painful. Maybe that part of my chest is just too bony?, but either way, this isn't the bra for me. Other than that it looks great and is clearly a great bra for most people! I do love the wire on the sides and the shape the bra creates. But I would suggest wearing it around the house for a bit when you buy it until you know for sure how it feels on you.

Unlike everyone and their mother, I don't love this bra. It was my first "correct bra size" purchase. Chantelle is itchy, to me. Its wires poke me, both in my armpits and on/between my breasts. And I get red marks from the elastic. I'm also not totally in love with lace like a lot of gals here are. Oh well. I learned. You have to try things out to learn what works for you.
Chantelle Response: Hi Heather, while we do find that all lace products soften with wear, you may want to try the Pont Neuf 3 Part Cup Underwire Bra 1381 as an alternative option. The cup is slightly deeper than the 3281 which may give you more underwire clearance under the arm and make the bra more comfortable through the cup. It provides similar coverage to 3281, but is primarily made of an extremely soft knit fabric, with a few embroidered details, for a very gentle and light feel on the body.

Pros: My favorite everyday "go to" / T-shirt bra! Rounded silhouette, support but only a little lift, slightly stretchy cup for comfort, and no major ridges under T-shirts. I have a small frame, and the the low side seams are important. I can wear this bra comfortably, for consecutive days, with no problems. Have had this 1.5 yrs and it is just starting to need replacement.
Cons: The center is a bit high, not the thing to wear with a deep plunge! For super-supportive, serious lift, I have Curvy Kate. (For nice support and comfort and a clean silhouette under T's or work blouses, this is great.)

This bra is pretty and comfortable! I never thought I could find that in my size. It holds "the sisters" up, creates an attractive silhouette and looks good under most clothes. It would be perfect if I could wear one everyday under everything! I like this bra so much I keep replacing it every time I go down a size (I've lost a lot of weight over the last couple of years). Now, I have a cappuccino, black and red one.

This bra is beautiful and has great support. However, the underwire in the middle is too high. That makes the bra VERY uncomfortable. On the details page it says that this bra has shorter wires than others so it's a good choice for petites. I returned the bra. Waiting for my new one to get here. Hopefully the next one will be a better fit.

This is a very pretty bra. It lifts and creates a natural rounded look. I have worn Chantelle bras for years and find them to be the best supportive bra. This is the first Rive Gauche for me and I did not give it 5 stars because the stays on the sides pinch just a bit.

This is a pretty, comfortable bra, which gives a slightly rounded profile. It is very comfortable. The reason for only 3 stars is that it is a bit big. From the first wear, I had to hook on the innermost hook and shorten the straps quite a bit for a new bra. BUT I am trying it again in a 32. The problem was, it apparently didn't come in my"sister size", 32DD. However, I just chatted with a Herroom expert told me that in Chantelle, the 32DD = 32E, Universal size D2. So I will let you know the result when it arrives!

really comfortable and beautiful, it doesn't stab into my armpits- I am very short so this is a problem. My only issue is that while this is a very pretty bra, the middle comes up very high, so lower cut tops will show this off- not ideal

If you have a rating of 10 it would not be too high. I have been buying this bra for several years and just hope it is not discontinued. The cut of the cups and shorter sides are perfect for petites. At my age the ladies are not as perky as they used to be but what a beautiful uplift and shape my breasts have in this bra. I believe the straps are narrower than my last order and designed to stay on my little shoulders better, they are not sliding over and stay put. It is so comfortable and have started showing it to my older lady friends while on me and they say "where did you get that gorgeous bra"?

I can't believe this bra! I may have cried when I realized that people actually made pretty things in my size- because honestly when you get to a 38H no one makes it- and if they do its not pretty, its functional (and white only). Now imagine the surprise when I put it on and found it was NOT a medieval torture device! This bra is lovely, and fits like a dream. The lace on this is soft, the cups have a nice natural shape, I haven't had a trouble with the bra showing under shirts and it is probably one of the most comfortable bras I have ever owned. I don't have any low cut shirts (its a new realization that bras other than sports bras are supportive- and this is), but I think it would show if you were to wear a lower cut.

I recently got fitted as a 36H. I was wearing 38DD bras for the past two years. This bra fits well. The center gore lies flat against the breastbone. The side and bottom panels are supportive. The top lace is soft (not scratchy), stretchy and lightly supportive. The underwire is a little high on the sides under the arm but doesn't bother me anymore after wearing it a day. Overall the shaping is OK but I wish it made my breast a little rounder. It has a more natural breast shape. The styling is somewhat sexy with the lace, but I'm not happy with the underwire between the breasts which sits too high. It shows with modestly low cut clothing If you want to show any cleavage this is not the bra for you. Also I wish it was more padded in the cup particularly in the nipple area to conceal erect nipples. The fit does not look like the image on line. On me, the cups look more like a balconette -- the angle is more horizontal from strap to gore, not triangular like shown.

I am a short, full figured and big busted woman. For years I wore minimizers but stopped when I found this bra. It is my FAVORITE bra of all time. After trying several other mid range and high end bras, I STILL will ONLY wear THIS bra. Its comfortable, sexy, not itchy, gives great support, and holds up well after repeated washings. I only wish they went on sale a little more often becuase the pricetag is hefty; but when you wear 44E, the quality and comfort of a bra is worth any price. Love love love it! I have it in black, beige and cream...and would buy it in every color if it was available (like how about red!). Love love love this bra! Did I mention how much I love this bra?

Very disappointed!! Purchased to replace the best bra ever - Chantelle Cashemire wich of course is discontinued. Straps much to long - needed to be altered for fit, underwire/side panel irritated my underarm. The expected 3 part cup support I was hoping for was missing. The lace is a little rough to wear under a knitted shirt. Keep looking ladies!!!!

After using the measuring guide & taking the what bra's right for you test, I ordered this one in a 38 G. Never thought I'd ever need that letter, but when it came I tried it on & it actually fit pretty good! The only downfall is that is has ripples/rinkles in the fabric because of the reinforced cup seams...it's def not a t-shirt bra, therefore it shows everything while wearing lighter weight shirts... For a bra being this expensive, everything would have had to be perfect for me to keep it...Sadly I had to return it...but at least I know what bra size, shapes, & forms to look for now. I will def try again ! :)

My first 3-part seamed cup bra from the local shop, and I'm in love. Excellent support. Lace isn't itchy. The underwires actually sit against my rib cage instead of somewhere out nestled in the cleavage. I'm 4'11" with narrow shoulders, and the straps don't fall off!! I feel held in and up and life is good.
I'll be back here at herroom in the future, this was the cheapest bra in the local shop! Although I don't regret the purchase, I'd like some more options under $100...

Nice quality and soft material, but did not fit me. There was too much fabric in the top of the cup for my shallow breasts. I have found that Chantelle bras run a bit too full in the cup for me. Sizing down on the cup might have worked on this one.

This bra is wonderful, and it's the first seamed bra to fit me well. I have low-set breasts with a very wide root. I'm also bottom-heavy, and I find that most bras with cups wide enough to hold all of my breast tissue gape at the top. The other problem I have with fit is narrow, sloped shoulders. Most straps in larger cup sizes are too wide in the shoulders and constantly fall off. With seamed bras, the lace panel almost always sticks up. I don't have any of those problems with this bra. Furthermore, I've never found another bra this lightweight and breathable that provides such good support. It gives me a good rounded shape, forward projection and good lift. Plus, the straps do not cause pain by digging into my shoulders.
A word about sizing: This is the equivalent of an FF in UK sizing, but FF is too small for me in virtually all UK brands I've tried. I think the cups in this bra are more generous than the usual FF size. If FF usually fits you and you don't have a problem with spillage due to top heavy breasts, I might order down a cup.
Also, I go between a 34 and 36 band depending on the brand and style of a bra. This band is slightly more stretchy than I would prefer. A 34 H wasn't available when I bought it. As is, I started out on the second row of hook and eye closures. That just means this bra won't last as long -- this would be a problem for me if I had paid full price for the bra.

I really, REALLY wanted this to be The Bra after reading so many positive reviews. Pros: it looks beautiful, has a really gorgeous, classy, kind of vintage/sophisticated look while also offering full coverage and great support without padding. Side support panels are awesome. It makes your chest look so good! Cons: it turns out I might have a bony sternum? Or just the wires are not right for my body, because the center (gore) underwires are PAINFUL. They press into the center of my chest and leave red marks. I saw another reviewer mention the same thing. Reading the description of the bra now, I see that they do say that the center panel is "very comfortable if you have a high tummy" -- which I didn't realize meant it could be that uncomfortable. (I'm also 5'4" and maybe that makes a difference too?) Because of how beautiful the bra is, I will try to find a way to work with it (somehow adding padding to back of gore? If I wear it with a piece of gauze folded up, it feels a lot more comfortable!) Anyway, I am taking the plunge and ordering another Chantelle bra even though they are pricey just because I am optimistic that the next one I try will be better. Such a great product if you have a less bony/more upright sternum!

This is a beautiful and well made bra. not to mention sexy. I have several in
different colors and adore them. Fit especially well for me - I am short waisted and busty, it holds the girls front and center without making them look pointy.
It also has a low center so the wires do not poke me when I bend over. Highly recommend!

I had a bra fitting and discovered my correct size in a different Chantelle bra (the C Chic Sexy 3-Part Plunge Underwire), so I ordered the same size in this bra. It was not nearly as supportive as the other bra, and it squeaked! The underwire was so noisy, even as I was taking it out of the packaging and putting it on, that I couldn't have kept it even if it fit.

Beautiful, excellent support, comfortable, excellent fit and construction. What more could you want? I bought this in a 40D because sometimes I like a little extra room in the band. The three part cup construction really holds me in without feeling like I am in a wire cage. I will probably buy another one of these in a 38D and probably in other colors and may well add the t shirt version. That is how much I love this bra. I will definitely buy other Chantelle bras (in fact, I have already ordered another one.) It feels like I am wearing nothing, even while out in the garden digging holes. For others considering the bra please be aware that the cups are very textured. If you plan to wear it under a thin t shirt, you will want to wear a cami (hence the need for the t shirt version). It's fine under a medium weight.

If you are heavy on top ( not firm or with augmented breasts), this bra will not give the support you are looking for. The straps and material overall is very stretchy, seems much more so than my last bra from Chantelle. I feel money could have been better spent on a Wacoal bra, but decided to keep it because I only came to this realization after wearing it for a day (took tags off). I still spill out of the side on the slightly larger breast, but this is true with no matter what type of bra I buy.The front of the bra just stretches with the heaviness and so that causes the underwire to sit on my belly/rib cage in an uncomfortable way.The only way I can get this bra to keep everything in (somewhat) is if I adjust the straps very close to the cups. The problem with that is it causes the band to slide up your back, and so you pull that down, but then you need to loosen the shoulder strap to get it comfortable.
The seam on the right side is digging into my skin and it feels very bothersome by the end of the day as a result. I am not quite a 32 band, but a little less than 34 because I recently lost some fat in that region. I am almost a DDD in one breast and DD in the other. Buying the right bra is a very frustrating experience for me, especially when I spend near a $100 or more on bras to find something that makes me feel and look better. It looks as though plastic surgery will be the only remedy. With all the money I have spent on bras, I could've afforded the surgery by now.
I will still give 4 stars because they are high quality, just not for those of us with heavy breasts.

The other day I noticed that one of my favorite dresses wasn't hanging right on me. I realized it was because of my breasts and it hit me that it was time for new bras. I did hours of research and used the BraFinder, and this bra kept coming up as the recommendation. I bought 3 of the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup bras and matching panties. A huge splurge for me, but so worth it! I understand why this bra is so expensive. It's perfect.
First, this is the first time I've ever had a bra be able to support me on the sides. The bra brings my breasts to the center and up. It rests flat on the breast bone, and the lace lies flat also, so I can wear it with almost all my clothes with no show-through and it's super-comfortable. I put on that dress and the difference was huge. I look and feel great in this bra. And it's so pretty!
This is a big investment, but so worth it for the support, quality, and what it can do for your figure.

Band runs small had to buy an extender fitted professionally for this size band. But it is the best bra for comfort the underwire does not poke, it is not to high on the sides. Have bought two and will buy more.

LOVE this bra. A friend had mentioned 'now that we're 50, we need to be wearing the good bras'..........I'd thought that I was.....
But after doing some research I realized I hadn't been, and furthermore, I wasn't even wearing the right size! Thanks so much to HER ROOM for all of the help!
This bra is definitely worth the extra cost - I plan on only buying Chantelle from now on.
And thank you AGAIN HR for the detailed help!

Being older gravity has taken over my breast. I have been trying for years and spent hundreds of dollars on bras that just did not hold the breast up. After taking the "know your breast" assessment, I actually understood the type of bra I needed. I measured according to Her Room and ordered the Chantelle (the bra they suggested). This is the bra I've been looking for. It fits beautifully, is comfortable and my breast fit the cups perfectly. I highly recommend this bra.

For several months I have been looking for a bra that fit and didn't dig in to my rib cage (on the sides) and I had an extremely difficult time (all of the sudden I was a 32G and not a 32F anymore! ahhh!) I was fitted at Nordstroms and a specialty bra shop. I literally tried on every single bra they had in stock in my size and found nothing (unfortunately, at a 32G many bras were out of stock). Feeling desperate, I took the "find your perfect bra" quiz on Herroom. This bra was recommended so I bought it. And let me tell you! I haven't been this happy with a bra in ages! I was worried about the lace showing through, but was to the point that I didn't care as long as it was comfortable. Fortunately, it looks good under most of my clothing. I do have a couple of very thin tshirts that show through but overall I'm so glad I bought this bra. I now own 3 of them and couldn't be happier. Finding a bra that is comfortable is pretty magical when you need such a large cup size! Hallelujah!

This is not the brand I usually wear, the underwire in mine broke and I had to get a new one ASAP. I will only wear 3-piece bras at this size, as they traditionally fit much, much better.
That being said, this bra has ALL elastic straps! Why would a bra in a larger cup size have all elastic straps? Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy. Plus with every bounce you lift a little more out of the top!
NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I'm stuck though, as I only have a 'leisure' bra right now and cannot go without.
I will say Never Again. What were they thinking?

I absolutely love Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 part cup bras. They fit me perfectly and are beautifully made. Shoulder straps are too narrow with no padding. Obviously, an F cup needs comfortable support.
Chantelle Response:
If you are looking for wider straps, we suggest trying Chantelle C Magnifique Molded Minimizer Underwire Bra 1891. Althought this style is seamless it offers great shaping and support with
shoulder straps that offer a slightly padded or cushioned strap.
We would suggest that you double check your size because if the straps bother you on a regular
basis with other bras you maybe in the wrong size. A simple check is to see if the back or band
of your bra rides up your back. If it does than the back size is too big. This will cause the straps
of your bra to do more of the supporting which will bother your shoulders. Digging into your
shoulders.

I am very unhappy with this bra. This was a total waste of money. Tried it on - it was fine so I took off the tags and wore it. One hour later the wires were digging into my chest. I wasn't able to take the bra off until seven hours later. By then I had red sores where the wires were poking me. Have had positive experiences with other Chantelle styles but will think twice before buying another.
Chantelle Response:
Style 3281 is a 3 part cup offering full coverage which could be the problem you
encountered. We would suggest 2 things, first double check your cup size to make sure
you are truly a C cup. (After all 8 out of 10 women are wearing a cup size too small and a
back size too big). Second try a Chantelle style that has less coverage such as Chantelle Merci 3 Part Cup Bra 1741 or Chantelle C Chic Sexy 3-Part Plunge Underwire Bra 3641. Both of these styles offer less coverage in the
center with sacrificing the fit .

I answered the know your breasts questionnaire very carefully and thoroughly. I am disappointed that the recommendation for someone who was petite recommended this bra. The underwires dug into my arm pits. I was a little surprised at the stretchy straps for the cup size, but had the underwires not been too big, I would have tried them out. The cup size did fit well as did the band size. In my opinion, it took too long to receive my order, almost two weeks, but I guess that is what comes with free shipping and I am somewhat impatient to receive items ordered online. Pretty bra, but not for me. I will be returning.

This is the only brand I wear since I found how wonderfully Chantelles fit. This new bra is as good as the last five, but I prefer the slightly wider/stronger straps they used to use as they allow less bounce. This won't keep me from buying more, it's just that I've noticed the difference.

The fit of the cup is good. The elastic on the back of the band rolls up which makes you actually aware of it all day long. I've never seen a bra with this band size & cup that is less than 3 hooks wide. Sadly, I'm going to return this bra.
Chantelle Response:
If the band is riding or rolls up the back most likely the band size is to large for you. You may want to go down a band or back size and up 1 size in the cup (38F). Please note there was no mention of how the cup fit and if it tacked against your chest in the center.

After searching and searching.. this is the one. This is the best bra I have ever worn. I wish I had found it decades ago. Very flattering, uplifting yet rounding (instead of pointy), comfortable, supportive.. perfect. Perfect if you are larger and things are heading south. For being short person, this is terrific as well. Usually with a larger cup, it cuts under the arms, but this one does not. And, all this support and it is not a gigantic contraption. And, it dries over night so it is great for travel. Although thin, which is much more comfortable, it provides headlight coverage. It does not do well under a very fitted T-shirt because of the lace.. so I found that I love Chantelle style 3585 for that. Styles 3281 (this one) and 3585 are the only ones I wear now and love them. I hope they never stop making them. They are such hi quality as well.. every detail very well done. The larger cup sizes have wider shoulder straps that are still pretty, yet comfortable. I never thought I would find such great function in a pretty bra. What a bonus! Her Room has been amazing in dealing with all my returns over the years to find the perfect bra. Thank you. Now I am set. I know what to order from now on.

I wasn't happy with the fit. I sent it back for an F cup size instead of a G. The 32 band size was fine.
Chantelle Response:
Each Bra brand may run different in sizing. The 3281 is a 3 part cup style. These type of styles can offer more depth in the cup or fuller cup.
Having a deeper/fuller cup may allow you to go down a cup size.

Well built bra. I've been wearing it off and on for more than a week and like it less as time goes on. The sides come up much too high for my petite frame, so the wires dig into my armpits and the material chafes. Other than it not being ideal for short, short-torso people like me, the bra fits well and gives a nice shape.

After trying what seems like hundreds of bras to try to find the "Holy Grail" I decided to keep this bra and another Chantelle, the Pont des Arts 3 Part Cup Bra 3946. Both bras have similar fits for me and similar issues. I found the underwire to still be a little long so it either pokes a little in the sternum, or under the arm, depending on how I've tried to move the wire. I am contemplating opening up the bra and trimming the wire, but until I am brave enough a little repositioning and it doesn't poke wither place. I have a small frame in the shoulder area, so it may not be a problem for you. I did find that this bra and the other Chantelle gave me great support and shaping. It put the girls right where they needed to be giving me a youthful figure and giving me back my waist. They are both very pretty bras, not scratchy at all. I like the lace under the cups in this bra better, but the rest of the look of the other.

I used the bra finder to help me select a bra, and it worked! I LOVE this bra! For the first time ever, the underwire lies flat against my chest. One side is a whole cup size bigger than the other, and this lace bra is stretchy enough to fit both sides with no puckering on the smaller side, and yet is still supportive. This bra won't work very well under t-shirts as it is not smooth, but I will just try a different style when summer comes. It is a bit scratchy, but I am hoping that washing it will help to soften the fabric. If not, it won't matter a whole lot, I still love it.

The fit is very good for women with breasts that are close together, and it provides great support while being pretty and not itchy on the lace, which is a big plus. I only find the underwire a little tiresome, but not more so than other brands, so its a matter of getting used to it.

At 5'7" with a relatively thin build and heavy bust, so I am self conscious about looking "top-heavy." Finding a comfortable bra that minimizes size and fits well is a challenge. This one meets those criteria!

Overall quality of the bra was very good but the cups were too big. I normally wear a 32F but was advised to get the G cup in this bra (D4). I did not need the G-. Also it is difficult to tell what the bra really looks like from the picture.

Mine is labeled as a 36DDDD in the U.S., 36F in Britain, and 36G everywhere else. The shape and support of this bra are fantastic. I mostly struggle with cups have my breasts too wide, out past my ribcage, and with this bra I'm straight out front and with no crazy torpedo look. Nice and round and in exactly the right place.
My only complaint is that the band seemed slightly bigger than a true 36, meaning I started out on the middle hooks instead of the largest fitting, and that it stretched out pretty quickly, so that I was on the tightest fitting within the first month. I bought three of them, and I've since sewn a pleat on each side of each band, and they fit fine. I'm 5'7" and 185 pounds, and there's NO WAY that I'm a 34-sized band, so the 36 should have held longer.

I just received my new Chantelle 3281 bra, and I love it! Initially, I had ordered a 36G, but it was a bit small around the back and the cup so I returned that one and reordered a 38H just to see. It fits beautifully. It's very well made with metal bra adjusters and metal fasteners in the back. I am losing weight but when I need to reorder another bra, I will not only buy the cappacino, I will also order a black one. It supports beautifully and looks great doing it. :) Back to the returning the first garment, customer service was very good. I did all this within a 2 week turn around time. Thank you for being there. It's extremely difficult to find a good bra once you get out of a 'D' cup.

Love it, and love the fabric. For a non-satin bra, it's actually wearable under some t-shirts - the seams aren't visible, and the lace is pretty subtle. Good stretch and coverage. It's a tiny bit itchy, but the support is great. Also it's cute, which isn't a major priority for me with my 32F's - I mean, they need support, people. But I actually love the look of this bra, and I find it really easy to wear (for a lace bra, which usually drive me crazy bc you can see the pattern under silks or thin cottons.)

this bra is beautiful, and for the most part comfortable. The cups fit very well, I love the three part construction. I am only giving it four stars because I feel that any band above a 42 should be three hooks, not two, and I would have also liked boning along the side. I have only hand washed so far, I am concerned that the underwire may start poking out on the side after repeated use..... and for the price that should not happen.

I have this in a 34 F in the nude and black colors, and I could not be happier. The underwire lies flat against my rib cage, the cup gives the perfect amount of support, and even though I usually chafe under synthetic fabrics, it is really breathable and comfortable. I highly recommend this bra!

This maybe the best bra I ever purchased. It is beautiful, very supportive, and best of all it fits my hard to fit body! I bought this bra last year in a 34E, and it was very good but not perfect. This size is more supportive and the cup fits perfectly. I did not completely fill out the top of the cup with the 34E without lots of scooping and sometimes readjusting later in the day. It did seem to fit better with time and washing, but this one is perfect.

Best bra I own. Still, It's not perfect - Stretches out substantially with wear, so I deffinetly recommend going down a band size. I think it's better to have some back fat for a month then a useless bra after two.
The reason I give it 4 stars is the side boning that tendes to pop out and can cause some nasty cuts.
But still, when it comes to shape and comfort, It is probably one of the best bigger bras out there.

I have recently gone through breast replacement using the skin and fat of my stomach to create new breasts. These breasts are very large (until we adjust them) and I was looking for a pretty bra that could handle the weight. This bra worked well except the coverage under the arms was insufficient. This one is one of my favorite bras. It's Well-made, beautiful, and keeps me looking good day in and day out. My only problems with this bra are that sometimes the underwire can get stabby at the end of the day and on occasion I wish it were seamless, as you can definitely see it through shirts at times. Overall, though, I haven't found a better bra.

I love this bra! It is worth every penny. It fits me beautifully and is very comfortable - the underwire is wider than the Chantelle C-Chic bra, which i also bought, and this works really well for me because I have a broad rib cage. If you find that the underwire under your arm sticks out on other bras, this one might work well for you.

It fits, it's comfortable and it's beautiful. The shaping is natural, and the lace is a little stretchy so it accommodates slight differences in sizes between the girls. Three-part bras in my in French sizing usually fit like a dream. The color, cafe latte, works well on a range of skin tones. I bought the luscious bikini briefs (not as tiny as the name implies) also.

Love this bra or any bra made by Chantelle, this is the 4th one I have purchased of the same style in about 3 years. The only difference is in the straps, new style has a single strap and the old one had a double. An excellent bra, very supporting with an excellent style, wears well and washes wonderfully. Only issue the wires on the side poke into my skin a bit.

I ordered this bra is the Sapphire color and it is an absolutely stunning bra. The color is brilliant, the lace is lovely, and the hardware is solid. Unfortunately, it just wasn't supportive enough for me. The cups were a bit too soft/unstructured, and the straps, while beautiful and delicate, just weren't strong enough. I returned it, but not without first spending some time deciding whether it was worth keeping just for sexy time with the fiance! Sadly, at $88, I decided it was not...
Chantelle Response:
Chantelle designs its 3 part cups with different body types in mind so they will fit differently. You may want to try Chantelle Cachemire bra 3371
or Pont des Arts Bra 3946. Both of these styles will provide additional support and shaping you may need

I agree with positive comments. This is my first Chantelle bra that truly fits. The band fits, the stays on the side hit me where they're supposed to and the center fits right against my chest wall. The cups are a little stretchy, so they seem like they'll adapt to your figure. The top edge of the cups is thin elastic, so no gap. Because the bra is new, it's very close fitting, not enough for the double-boob effect, but does have the tiniest pooch of skin. A few washes and dropping the 5 lbs. I gained over the last two months will make it perfect. The 34 (F) was way too stretchy in the band, and the cup doesn't seem to encompass all the breast tissue (even though the wire is probably the same as the 32 G). A natural shape, very pretty & very comfy. What's not to like?

I purchased this Chantelle bra along with Chantelle 2361. I am absolutely amazed that they both fit! It is so difficult to find a bra in my size. A bra that is comfy, and not matronly, & that doesn't give me a freak shape. I have been searching for so long! The majority of bra companies cater to small sizes. This bra gives me a great shape, it's comfy, it's sexy, it's quality. I had seriously given up. This was my last attempt and I spent a lot more than I normally spend on a bra...but I am so happy I did! I found my new brand. I am so happy! Beautiful bra. But the wires poked very bad. Sent it back.
Chantelle Response:
Because you are petite in height, where the underwire sits under your arm can be a problem. Chantelle makes many different 3 part cup styles simillar to the 3281 that would solve your problem. We would suggest you try the following styles which have a lower underwire height under the arm. Promesse 3635 , Pont des Arts 3946 or Amazone 2101

I have not had a bra that fit well since this enlargement occurred, and since it was not implants they were heavy. I recently had a bra fitting at a department store and was told I am size 34D. I was wearing 34C. I purchased this bra for the looks, and support. At first, it felt great, but after a few hours the underwire is digging into my breastbone and under my arms. Maybe the cups are too rounded or come up too high for my frame. I am hoping it will improve once it is washed because I love the look, and fabric is very comfortable, especially for a lace bra.

This bra is wonderful. I tried on a couple of Chantelle 3-part, cut and sew bras and they were all really nice. I think it's worth it to pay the money and get a well-designed bra, with a band that sits close against the body and anchors the cups. I chose this one because: (1) the lace texture on this one seemed to be least visible under clothes, compared to the others, (2) good coverage (no 4-boob effect), (3) it's beautiful! and (4) the pale pink matches my pale skin tone.

Because I love Chantelle, I took a chance on this bra knowing that I don't personally have the best of luck with anything but a demi style. I tried to get used to it because it was very supportive and looks good under tshirts but I ended up really wishing that I had not bought it. My cup size features side stays which are completely unnecessary for me personally and extremely uncomfortable. I don't think the side stays lie on my body where they are intended so one of them popped through the lining and stabbed me all day until I could get home to take the darn thing off. Today, I noticed that the seams on one of the cups is beginning to come apart and I have not owned the bra for more than a few months. I expect more from such an expensive purchase but it's the first time I've had this issue with a Chantelle bra so I suspect that it had more to do with how poorly this cut of bra fits my figure than the quality of manufacture. Lesson learned. Little people need little bras.
Chantelle Response:
We would suggest staying with a Demi style as it sounds like it fits your body type comfortably. We would suggest Chantelle Demi style bras such as Bastille 3995
fuller coverage Demi or try a 3/4 coverage T-shirt style such as C Chic 3581, Sublime 3951
or Icone 3858
.The 3281 is a 3 part cup which offers additional support and coverage. The frame of the bra maybe to much coverage for your body type causing it to be uncomfortable.

I've worn Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup Bra for several years, as I appreciate the support and overall look they provide; however, in the past the straps and trim were appealingly scalloped, adding the femininity I love.

****+ Very expensive, but a WONDERFUL bra. The fit is perfect, it seems that you have to spend a lot of money before a manufacturer understands simple dynamics on large cup sized like me a "G." No fat squeezes out anywhere, no muffin top and no irritation at the end of the day. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 Star was the prize OUCH! :)

I've been wearing this bra for a year. I have bought 6 during that time. I rotate everyday. I wash with lingerie detergent in a lingerie bag, on hand wash mode in a very nice washing machine. Consistently, I find the side boning breaking through the seam causing an unbearable painful poke on my sides. They are expensive and can't justify buying 3 more today because of this poor construction issue. Need to find another brand. It's a shame because I have never seen a more beautiful bra.
Chantelle Response:
Bras should be hand washed only. Machine washing ,no matter how gently is not recommended for bras as it can damage or compromise the bras construction.

Cup width was perfect for me, however other parts of cup were too large, it came up high in armpits and baggy in other areas.
Chantelle Response:
The wings or underarm band on this style is designed for women that need additional coverage or height in this area. We would suggest Chantelle Cachemire bra 3371
3-part cup which offers less coverage under the arm than style 3281.

Just turned 61, and believe it's a shame that it took this long to discover what a truly comfortable bra for a large size woman is -Chantelle. One does not have to wear utilitarian bras with wide straps and plain cups. I'm indulging in incredibly soft, sexy, luxurious bras now and what a delight. There's no going back for me. Please take the time to be fitted by a professional fitter. You'll be glad you did.

This is the best bra I have ever owned. It is lovely, sturdy, keeps my breast in place, fits against my breast bone. I am short waisted and have a small rib cage so this bra does ride high under my arms causing a little discomfort, but I still vote it the best so far (my search has just began). I love this site. This is by far the BEST bra I have ever owned. Not only is it comfortable, but it lifts AND separates. While that's terrific, what's so ultra pleasing is the look of the bra. It's feminine and sexy! -- Being busty, I haven't had pretty options...until now. Before this Chantelle bra, my only options were heavy-duty, wide, ugly, functional bras. Finally, someone understands that large-sized bras can be attractive too. I own the black one and the beige one.

This is a fabulous bra for the busty gal. I wear a size 34 DDD (34F), and found it to fit nicely, comfortably, and minimize without being a "minimizer." Though I would say that it creates a bit of a "cone" shape, but that could just be my shape. I LOVE that it's not padded in the least - it conforms nicely to your shape, and isn't scratchy or itchy, even with the lace. It separates well, with full coverage, but doesn't feel like a frumpy bra. The lacing is beautiful and feminine, and I would highly recommend this bra to the larger woman who hasn't found the right fit. I went through dozens of bras before this one (cheapo bras mostly), that would lose shape and support in a few months. The Rive Gauche is incredible - I now have three of them!

I changed sizes last spring--lost 30 lbs and went from 34 DDD to 32 G in Chantelle so I experimented with new styles especially since the Legend was being discontinued. I think this is my favorite. I first mistakenly bought the 32 DDD and am wearing it but it is just tad small. I like that the DDD has only two hooks in the back but the G has 3. I don't like that as much although I've worn 3 and 4 all my life but I understand the need for support. My last purchase was the Violet and I love it.

I'd read such great reviews about this bra that I decided to roll the dice and order it online. Unfortunately, it can't take what I'm dishing up. The material and straps have too much give. Even with the three part construction, there's not enough lift or shaping. It's not comfortable, either. On the upside, it is one of the prettiest bras I've owned, and it's light enough to make summers in Phoenix almost comfortable.

Nice bra! The girls stay where they are placed, no shifting throughout the day. The center doesn't go all the way to my chest but it's close. The underwire pokes in the underarms a little too. I love the design and the craftsmanship that goes into this bra. However, I am having issues with this bra. I got the bra in a 38H because the 36H bra's underwires were really tight and it felt as if they were digging into my body. Unfortunately, while the bra cups in the 38H fit, the bra strap is rising up in the back. I love this bra, but I'm not even sure what my size is anymore.

I have purchased many items from Her Room and it is always a pleasant experience that begins with unwrapping the lilac trademark tissue paper. This last acquisition may be my favorite purchase, yet. This bra may seem pricey, but having weathered neck and back surgery, finding a comfortable bra is a challenge and with the Rive Gauche bra from Chantelle, I believe my search is over. From early morning, through the work day and into the late evening, I wore this garment and was able to concentrate on the things at hand instead of discomfort and back pain. Lots of detail, beautifully made, lots of support, AND it is actually pretty - made me feel pretty, too! I would recommend this bra for anyone, but especially those with a larger bust size looking for quality and support.

The construction is perfect for a big chest. Look is feminine. Awesome bra. I have a small band (32) but big chest. Defies gravity, prevents breast tissue from disappearing under arms and places it forward for nice cleavage. Love the fit, love the look. Again, only thing I would change is the seams which do show under your clothing. I'm wearing layers to help, but it still shows under two shirts.

I love the look of this bra. I sent the first one back for a different color I realized that i really didn't want a stark white bra. I'm sending this cappuccino back for a smaller size, 32F instead of 34F, because I've recently lost 20 lbs and I had to use the tightest hook and it was still not that tight on my rib cage. I know it will stretch so even though I don't measure a 32, I'm going to try it. Also because of the weight loss the left cup had a few puckers as my left breast is naturally smaller than the right. The right one was fine so I'm hoping that the smaller band size with the same size cup will be a perfect fit!

It's everything I like in a Chantelle bra: gorgeous and functional all at the same time. For years I thought a support bra for a big cup size required a 4-hook closure; Chantelle achieves the support with just 2 hooks and the wings stay put, not stretching like other brands I've worn. So happy to have re-discovered Chantelle after all these years. I wore the Chantelle Fete as a teen growing up in Europe.

My favorite bra! Very comfortable and pretty. The cups are lined with a soft, thin fabric, so there is no itchy lace directly against the skin. It's not a great bra for t-shirts because of the lace. Still, for anything else, this is my first choice.

It is a very comfortable bra. I could wear it all day. Chantelle has always been my favorite brand, because of my size. I ordered 34, since I put on weight but usually I take 32. This is my favorite Chantelle bra. It offers a great fit, very true to size. It is very sexy, yet gives amazing lift, separates the breasts and keeps them there. The pictures do not do this bra justice, it has a beautiful lace design with little flowers.
Looks great under even the thinnest fabrics, I have yet to wear it with a top that shows through. The lace is a bit scratchy at first, but a washing will soften it up.
I cannot stress how beautiful the lace detail is on this bra. The Rive Gauche is my favorite Chantelle collection.

Pretty and surprisingly comfortable, the fabric is soft and stretchy. This bra is sure to be a winner for a lot of ladies. For me, it isn't quite right. It fit very well and felt nice and supportive the first couple of wearings, but by the third time it seemed to have stretched out too much. I was going into the tightest hole in the band and it seemed to want to go tighter. The shaping in the cups was fine, but again by that third wearing I felt like they weren't giving me the lift I wanted. The softness and stretchiness will be appreciated by many wearers -- for me, I suppose a more rigid construction is best. I love the demi bra in the Rive Gauche collection. The two have little in common other than some style elements.
HerRoom Response: If you were wearing this bra for three days in a row without washing it, this could be a problem. Women in large cups really need to let a bra rest for at least 24 hours before wearing again. This allows the bra to return to its original shape. Also, after two wearings, a bra should be washed to help it return to shape as well.
Chantelle Response:
We suggest she stay with the demi if that is what works for her or try the Chantelle Rive Gauch T-Shirt Bra 3086
, balconnet. 3281 is too much bra for her, if she wants a demi look. Washing the bra should get the shape back in 3281, but 3086 is really the bra for her in our opinion.

It is so comfortable, I forget I am wearing a bra. I don't feel so large that all you see are breasts. I plan to buy four more.

I love this bra. The three-part construction provides excellent support so the girls are where they belong. It's comfortable and it's pretty. I couldn't ask for more. I do take a cup size larger in Chantelle than with my other bras (Wacoal). I will be buying this bra again. Kudos also to HerRoom for prompt and professional customer service.

I really loved the fit of this bra, and it was very pretty, but I returned it because I prefer bras with some type of lining for smooth coverage.

Chantelle Rive Gauche is such a pretty bra. Needs to be seen under see thru outerwear. Really fits well with pronounced bust line. Love it.

LOVE this bra. I ordered four different brands in the same size and had to send them all back. The cups were too big or the band too tight. This bra was PERFECT. I think I need ones that only have two clasps as the back rather than three....that might be the trick. It is sooooo pretty I don't want to wear it. This is the ONLY bra I'll buy from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very comfortable. Sizing seems to be true. Band is supportive, cups lift and separate for a complimentary look not pushed up and back lays flat against skin without irritation. One of the few bras I forgot I was wearing all day long and not in a rush to exit.

Outstanding, even the back is beautifully designed with smooth heavy duty hooks but a light lacy look and firm ribbon. The front is delicate looking but extremely supportive and well-balanced. Chantelle bands are sometimes too tight. this one is definitely snug but never uncomfortable. It has given my Fantasie molded, unlined basic bra some real competition.

This is a very comfortable and pretty bra. My only reservation is that the cups are just a tiny bit too small. I would have returned it for a bigger cup size, but H was the biggest available. I'll just have to think about it. In the past before Her Room, I would have been perfectly satisfied with a bra that wasn't perfect perfect, but Her Room has spoiled me with their wonderful bras.

Love this bra - my favorite Chantelle to date - and this is the only brand I have worn for years. Great support, fits true to size, very comfortable and also pretty with matching panty.

I have always had a problem finding a bra that fit-finding one that was also pretty seemed out of the question. I recently ordered this bra and I am thrilled with the fit, I actually have cleavage instead of being all mushed together. It is giving great support and pushing me to the front so I don't look as wide (you notice my waist)- looking thinner is my only goal in life. I don't feel my breasts under my arms for the first time ever. I am about 5 feet tall and I wear a 36H so I also love the fully adjustable straps. I absolutely adore this bra - it is my long lost soul mate
