The underwear on this bra digs in to my ribs in a very uncomfortable way. I like that it’s not too thick in terms of padding.
HerRoom Response: It may be possible that you might be wearing your bra too low. Many women don't make sure their underwires are in their breast crease. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Agree that cups are shaped ‘weirdly’. Also, it was painfully too small. (Cup and band). I have other styles from Chantelle, so I know my correct size.

I find this bra to be very comfortable. The soft padding gives nice support which is great since as I get older, my breasts are naturally starting to sag. This bra is also minimizing which is not what I prefer, but at my age who's looking at me?!!

Unflattering. Spread my breasts too wide. Although I fit into the cups, and the band size seemed right, the wires extend halfway into my armpits. Cuts lines across the front of my breasts. Sags at the bottom of the cups. Just not good.
HerRoom Response: All your fit comments point to being in the wrong size. But not sure what size to recommend to you.

Most of my bras are Chantelle 36D and this fits without a problem. I'm disappointed in the unflattering, rounded, but flattened wide shape it gives me.

My longtime Chantelle style, 1747 Merci, was discontinued. I did the bra quiz and this was a result. I'm a 34DD/E with widely spaced boobs and based on suggestions I tried 36D. Didn't fit. I was spilling out the sides. I'm desperate for a bra!
HerRoom Response: With wider spaced breasts, a better bra design for you will be one with side support panels.

I have always been happy with Chantelle in the past. I don't like this one at all. Doesn't fit as nicely.
HerRoom Response: We appreciate your feedback. Wish we had more information about why you do not think the fit is nice. This is a plunge t-shirt bra. If you do not have firm breast tissue, your breasts can tumble out a bit when leaning forward.

I have been buying this bra for a few years now. I like the fit because with the wide band and hook count it feels secure and snug. The lift and support is good. The cup size is sufficient and the coverage with no show through is what I want. I am short so I also look for the fully adjustable straps.

This bra is a hideous shape. When I put it on, it looked like a minimizer, with a weird flattened profile to the cups. Instead of lifting them up, it seemed to smoosh them down my ribcage. Not a keeper.

Comments say that this bra seems to run small compared to other Chantelle bras, and this was spot-on! I sized up in the band and down in the cup, and it fits perfectly.
This is hands-down the most comfortable bra I have ever owned. Those of us with large, heavy breasts NEED at least 3 rows of hooks. This one has 4! It makes a HUGE difference in comfort. Will be ordering more of this style!

First time I have tried this bra. It has a nice profile and fits my girls perfectly. I didn't think I would like the plunge or thicker bra cup as well as I do. It is so comfortable that I can forget I am wearing it. No show through under t-shirts as advertised and does not add bulk to my already generous "girls." A great purchase from a good company!

I bought this specifically to use as a sleep bra and am very pleased with the support and softness of the material. The four hook band (for a 36G) was a little odd at first, but it seems to do a good job of preventing any shifting or band riding up while I sleep. The cups are a smidge smaller than other 36G bras, but overall it's much more supportive and attractive than I would've expected.

I have tried many bras over the last few months and this is by far the most comfortable model I have had in a long time. I have one in each of the colors that are available. I did have to purchase a band size smaller than I usually buy, but I also gained a cup size so I guess it all works out. Love this bra and especially the wide band that my DDDD cup needs for support. I hope Chantelle keeps making it so I can replenish when needed.

Best fitting most comfortable underwire bra I have ever worn. Easily worn all day without that "can't wait to get this off" at the end of the day that is so common. Makes my clothes fit better and has narrower body shape so wires do not extend too far and poke your arms. I will be buying other colors! Better fit profile for hard to fit and petite bodies than all of the other companies and I have tried most!

Very comfortable in the front, feels like a custom fit. However the straps in the back kind of scratch my shoulder blades, no other bras have done this. The cups for this bra do not provide enough coverage for me to consider this a T-shirt bra, nipples do show through. Support is good, but the way this bra is designed my breasts are separated in the middle which moves them to the sides. I'd rather have them positioned forward which has a more slimming effect. This bra is Ok to wear and will not be returning it, but I would not purchase it again. I do believe it runs true to size.
Chantelle Response: Hi Gretchen! We are sorry to hear that the Chantelle C Ideal Plunge T-Shirt Bra 1951 has not provided the shape and comfort that you are looking for. Since the C Ideal Plunge T-shirt Bra has very kicked in straps in back, that could be why they are irritating your shoulder blades. We recommend trying the Chantelle Rive Gauche Full Coverage T-Shirt Bra 3286, which has centered straps for support, a firmer pad for modesty and more forward projection for shape and slimming the silhouette.

Good quality bra. The fit was fine when I first put it on. After wearing a few times my breast spill out some.
Chantelle Response: Hi Denise! Thank for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are glad that you were impressed with the quality of the style you purchased, but it sounds like you might do better in a style that provides more containment. We recommend trying the "Chantelle C Magnifique Molded Minimizer Underwire Bra (Style 1891)" which has a soft stretch fabric that molds to the bust and a higher center panel for better containment. If you find yourself still spilling out of the cup, we recommend going up in the cup to a 36I.

I soo wanted to love this bra. I have a hard time with plunge type bras as I always fall into the center. This bra was slightly stretchy and held me in well. It has a minimizing effect which looks nice. As I continued to wear it it began to crease under bust and on the sides and they did not go away, I'm now falling into center, the bra feels and looks like I've been wearing it for a year :(
HerRoom Response: We suggest tightening your straps and making sure your band is tight enough. Also really try and make sure all of your breast tissue is in the cups. Check out our How To Put on a Bra video for tips and tricks.

A super-comfortable bra! The cups of this brand are the best! This bra does flatten and push down and to the sides a bit, but not as much as the C Magnifique Minimizer. Very smooth looking and round shape great for knit tops. The 1241 is more of a front/lift, but straps not as comfortable. Trade-offs!

This bra fits well. I'm 34 G and always have a hard time finding bras that both fit and support. In order to have found enough support in the past always ended up with extra fabric in the cup, not with C Ideal. I need a bra with a wide cup, and this has that feature. The straps come far enough in in my shoulder and never ever slip. I would not have found this bra if I had not been fitted.

This is an OK bra. I like that it is full coverage and it is well made. That being said, the straps are NOT set-in - they constantly fall off my shoulders even after I have adjusted them a hundred times. I can feel the underwire in this bra and after a few hours it is unbearable and I have to take the bra off. (I have worn underwires all my life - this is the first time it has bothered me). I wish it were more comfortable because the fit is perfect.
Chantelle Response: Hi Virgie! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Is it possible that this isn't the right size for you in this style? When a bra's band size is too wide on on the body, the straps are subsequently too wide as well, even when they are set in. This commonly causes the straps to fall off of one's shoulders, no matter how many times they've been adjusted. The wrong size can also cause the underwire to become uncomfortable, due to either the cup being too small, causing digging into the breast tissue, or the band being too big, causing the wire to easily move/rub against your body as you move. One suggestion for a style with a comfortable wire would be our "C Magnifique" (style: 1891). Both the centered straps and the underwire are lightly padded for an ultra comfortable feel on the body. We hope this helps!

Did not fit right. It flattened the breast and I had tissue over the top of the cup. I sent it back.
Chantelle Response: Hi Jen! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Any time you have breast tissue coming over top the cup in any bra, it might mean that you need to increase the cup size to ensure that the breast tissue is fully contained. While 1951 doesn't come in the next cup size up, our "Rive Gauche" (style: 3281), "C Magnifique" (style: 1891) and our "Parisian 4-Part-Cup" (style: 1471) are all great for amazing comfort, support, and shape, and they all come up to an I cup, which might be what you need in Chantelle. We hope this helps!

I think this bra runs small. I have another Chantelle bra that I got in a 34F because the 36 was too big around, but I had to exchange this bra for a 36G. Both the band (34) and cup (F) were too small. Overall, the bra is fine -- lightly lined so it gives a nice shape; the straps are thin enough to be cute and they are very adjustable; and the number of hooks increases with the size. It's not as supportive as I'd like, but it's still absolutely fine (and I can't stand when my chest moves around when I'm moving). Make sure you get the right size.

This bra fits smoothly, is light and comfy and has a nice rounded shape. I fall into the middle of most plunging bras, but this one works for me and I'm glad to have it if only for that reason. It's also a bit slimming without compacting, and has a softly rounded shape rather than sticking out in front a lot. However, it needs more support at the base of the cups, where it's already sagging after wearing 4 or 5 times. I also find the straps a bit too stretchy. More sturdiness and support and I'd buy 2 more today, but no. It runs a bit smaller than Chantelle 1896, which was my favorite bra until it was discontinued. Chantelle, thanks for the clever and flattering plunge design, but get your sizes consistent, and make more sturdy bras like 1896! We need you!
Chantelle Response: We are glad you like the design, feel, and shape, but are sorry that you're finding that it's not the support that you need. Have you ever considered buying a bra with seams in it? A seamed bra provides a great deal of structure and support for the breast tissue, and works best for women with a fuller bust. Two such styles that we recommend are "C Chic Sexy Plunge" (style: 3641), and "Rive Gauche" (style: 3281). Both of these styles have minimum stretch, full support up to an H cup and flat seams that are virtually invisible under most clothing.

I have a Chantelle C Chic bra in a 32D that I love. This though... I couldn't believe my eyes when both the tag AND the label said it was a 32D. The underwire dips low down from the center panel. On the tightest setting it was still riding up my back and loose. I was hoping this one would fit because it had a 2 hook closure instead of 3 but alas, this was far from an option.

Absolutely love this bra! Sometimes people will say that a bra fits so well that it's like you can't even feel it - I always think, not in this cup size! I put this on and, wow!!! It doesn't feel like I'm wearing it - no digging or pinching or binding but great support and incredibly comfortable. I am tall - 5'11" with a small rib cage for my height and a very full 34DDD. This gives full coverage in the cup horizontally and vertically, no spilling out the sides and good separation. It provides good padding for no nipple show through. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that it makes a squeaky noise from the underwires at first but with wearing, that goes away.

Would like a bra with no padding and not so stiff

Very nice shaping but wish it had a bit more support.

Fit was ok, but it made the breasts look flat. I love the Chantelle bras but I returned this one.

I wanted to love this bra. It was comfortable, and it did a great job at helping with "back fat". It also provided good coverage of nipple-show-through without adding too much padding. However, I returned it because I felt I had too much jiggle at the top of the cups.
