Bought this brand & model for yrs. Last 1-2 years, noticed they are cheaper build, lower quality. Lighter gauge hooks, thinner, stretchier material used to make them, and consequently, they do not last nearly as long. I am actually a 32DD.

The bra fits great but either the tag or one of the hooks is rubbing against my skin making it uncomfortable.

The first problem I had with this bra was the plastic gel pack. It is supposed to cushion the hook area, but the edge of it was exposed and sharp. It took me a while to figure out the source of this irritation because it was clear and hard to see. I managed to cut it close to the stitching with a pair of small sharp scissors and that fixed it. The next problem was the "plush" elastic band. The plush elastic digs into my skin causing pain when I remove the bra it sticks to my skin. Smooth elastic would be much better. Other than these things, fit of this bra is great, it's comfortable, and it offers pretty good support for a soft cup bra. The band runs small, but it stretches out. I do wear the bra, but I won't purchase it again because of the plush elastic. Sheila from New York

Shoulder straps are too narrow for a full figure bra and I doubt will be comfortable after a few hours of wear. The shoulder straps need to be changed to a wider strap for maximum comfort . I would not recommend for a full figure bra purchaser . Florry from la mesa/ca. /usa

I bought 3 of these bras after liking the non-spa closure bra. I have implants due to breast cancer (reconstructed breasts with 800cc implants only). I thought this bra was awesome until I had it for a little over a month & noticed a lot of pain in my chest skin & muscles. I showed this bra to my plastic surgeon and she told me to get rid of it. There is no support in the bottom of the cup to hold up my breasts/implants. I also bought one of these bras for my mother (44DD). She's had hers for less than a month & already has a hole in it. The cups also stretched so her breasts which were held well initially are now sagging on her belly. Mine also stretched in the cups (part of the non-support noticed by my plastic surgeon). I ordered this bra for my 75 yr old mother in law who is very picky about her bras. She had only every worn special order May Marie bras. She hates underwires. This is my favorite bra for every day wear - enough support, and very soft and comfortable. I LOVE that they have printed the "label" on the back of the bra, so there is no nasty tag sewn on there. Because I am short waisted, I am having a bit of discomfort with the stays that are meant to provide side support. They buckle and then pinch the skin. I need to find a bra that provides this support but does not ride up. The bra band size is right. It is just the short wait issue that causes the problem.

HerRoom Response: You state that you are also petite in stature. Bras with stays will probably always give you a hard time. We have an area on our site where we identify bras for full figure petite women called petite plus size.

Bali Response: While Bali does not market a bra for short waist individuals we do offer a Bali style called “Live It Up” and it is style #3353. I have had a radical masectomy and bought about 15 so-called masectomy bras. They all hurt or didn't fit properly. I found an old Bali bra similar to this one in my regular bra drawer and found that it better fitted where my tissue was missing. When I bought this style, I found that with my prosthesis (I cut a seam in the cup between the two layers), it fit perfectly with no overflow and no bra discomfort whatever. I wear this as my everyday bra. It manages to be stretchy all over for comfort yet provide enough support to keep me from bouncy around during housework, gardening, and light exercise. The fabric is soft and comfortable and the tagless, cushioned back close is refreshingly irritation-free. I'm surprised that the simple elastic straps are comfortable and don't dig in! I usually wear cushioned rigid straps, but don't think I'll go back to them - these are fully adjustable, which is a plus for cinching up the cups once the fabric ages and stretches out, and these thinner straps don't show under clothes. I love this bra because it makes sense for a full bust. When I see a bra sized 38C and it has two little hooks on an inch wide closure, I know that someone in the design department doesn't have a clue. Woman with a large bust and a full figure NEED four hooks. Otherwise it's like a bungy cord around your back. I am so glad to finally find 4 hooks on a bra. Bra designers need to recognize the needs of women with full figures. Make sexy little two hookers for those with A and B cups. Three hooks for those with C cups and 4 hooks for those with D cups or C cups that are 38 or larger. Just common sense. Toby from Newbury, MA

There are so many hooks (and they are very small), it is difficult to put on. When I finally got it on I thought it might be comfortable, but the longer I wore it the more like a straight jacket it felt. While this bra is comfortable and the back closure is smooth, I found that this bra has very little side support. Therefore, wearing this bra with a sweatshirt was o.k, but I found the lack of side support not flattering for a large-breasted woman wearing light-weight shirts or sweaters. Also, the side elastic is so stretchy that it also allows the bra to slide up in the back and allow the front to tip down. Tightening it did not help as the sides continue to flex and it does not maintain proper lift in the front nor any side support.

HerRoom Response: It really sounds like you might be in the wrong size. Your symptoms of the back sliding up and not having enough side support all sound like your brand size is too large. Consider a 40. If your cups fit well, you should probably be a 40DDD, MaryJane from Boise, ID USA
