I ordered this bra and was unfortunately, disappointed. The straps dug into my shoulders, and the middle of the bra stuck out. I didn't feel secure in this bra being that I have large breast. I truly wish that they would make a better minimizer bra.
HerRoom Response: Your straps digging sounds like your band was too big. And, a minimizer bra is the one bra style where the center panel does not rest against your sternum.

Well constructed, but the cut was too full for my breasts. There was a pinch of excess fabric and the mid bust seam which causes it to not lay flat. Three hooks are never my favorite. Returning.

A cute and supportive bra! I love the mesh lace and the satin, and it supports just as well as my everyday bras. Only thing I could go without would be the straps- they widen at the shoulders, which is comfortable, but isn't my favorite look.

Have been wearing this minimizer for years. It is my go-to everyday bra. Eventually the underwires poke out of their channel toward the front or back. I have sloping shoulders, so the straps are constantly falling down. And the underwires front and center poke out my shirts, But I couldn't find any minimizers that I liked better, so I continue to buy them.

This bra was too tall. If I lower to fit under the arm it is way down in the front. I am just 5'0" inches tall & this was too tall in the front. It would fit if you were taller I think. It is being returned.
Aviana Response: For your height and the size bra that you are wearing, you will have to spend some time on trial and error to find the correct product for your body type. We really hope that you can find a comfortable bra that will work for you. Consider trying Aviana Minimizer Underwire Bra 2460.

The wires stick out between the breasts, does not lay flat against the body. Also was made incorrect with the underwire not covered in material on one side, now I have a bra that I cannot wear. Very displeased!

This is a nice bra, but unfortunately it doesn’t fit me well. The straps are set too wide and causes the cups to come up too high under my arms. I’m short and I have large, heavy breasts so I need the straps to be a little bit centered to my breasts to get the support I need.
Aviana Response: Since you’re short, I know it’s difficult to find the right fit for your body type. Consider trying Aviana Underwire Embroidered Bra 2456. It has a smaller profile and will not come up as high at your underarm. You may also want to try a softcup, such as our Aviana Softcup Minimizer Bra 2357. The wide foam sling in the cup is much more supportive and comfortable and will definitely hold you up. Give us another try!

Definitely not a minimizer. Disappointed because I need a black bra.
Aviana Response: This bra provides a nice round shape that minimizes projection at the apex of the breast. It is not intended to be a full cup minimizer.

Not suited for larger bust. Flimsy construction.
Aviana Response: It's possible that you are in the incorrect size, we suggest checking out HerRoom's Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size. This style is a lower profile and may not be suited for you body type, consider trying Aviana Floral Underwire Bra 2453 which offers more support and is a slightly larger profile. We hope this helps!

Since my normal style by Wacoal was discontinued, I've been looking for a replacement that fits comfortably. This style is the closest so far, but still has issues. The bottom band, although minimal, has a tendency to roll up slightly. I'm not crazy about the lines across the top showing through with certain tops. The bottom line is if I don't feel the bra once it's on and with movement, then it's a success. This bra is a success, but I will still keep looking for that perfect bra like my old one that was discontinued.

Purchased this bra in JUNE. Didn't wear this bra until August. First time wearing this bra it ripped at the lace.
Aviana Response: Please remember that lace bras are very delicate and must be handled with extreme care. That goes for both hand washing and how you put the garment on your body. If you have fingernails, you must be particularly careful not to poke your nail through the garment or pull on the lace cup. Always lean forward when positioning your breast within the cup and never pull on the neckline. Instead, lift the garment at the shoulder strap and reach inside the cup to make your adjustments.

First of all I was very happy to find this site,I had no idea these kind of bra's existed for short people w/ large breasts. Short people don't always come with small bodies and small breasts. My height is 4'10. I have large breasts with a short torso. I have had a hard time finding bra's that fit. especially ones with underwire. This one didn't poke under my arms, so I was very excited but it did poke out in middle especially when I sit. So I really can't wear it with anything but really baggy shirts or sweat shirts. and I only dare wear it around the house , never to work or out with friends. and the underneath wire rubs and hurts, and slightly turns up. but honestly I like it, its soft, and with all of those flaws I still love that it doesn't poke under my arms. I had ordered a couple more bra's that were on back order, they are both not the same, so I am hoping that they are better. But I want to thank Herroom for even having these options for "Us" girls. I am glad I found you, but sad I didn't find you sooner. .anyone have any ideas? or suggestions?

Finally! A bra that makes me forget I'm wearing one! I've been searching for a bra that's comfortable, supportive, and that actually fits, for years. Don't let the "minimizer" label stop you. The cups don't flatten me out, or push the girls into weird positions. The cups DO look really big, but it's because they are made and positioned in such a way that they fall further back under the arms. It freaked me out at first ("I can't be THAT big!") but is really comfortable, and creates a really nice, natural silhouette. The straps don't dig into, or slip off of my shoulders, and the underwire doesn't dig in either. Fabulous! I'm investing in another one soon.

I have worn this Aviana Minimizer bra with underwire for over 25 years. This bra fits better than any bra I have ever worn and is very comfortable. I am big busted so it is important to me to have a bra that not only fits, but holds me up. This bra really does make my breasts look smaller, if only a little bit. I do have to have the straps sewn in place so they don't move,

This bra is definitely not a minimizer bra. This bra pushed my boobs way up to my chin, very uncomfortable and the wire underwire made my breast hurt and the wire sticks out right in the middle of the bra so you can see something sticking from your shirts or blouses.

I don't usually wear an underwire so maybe I'm just not used to the pain involved....this bra looks great and supports but it cuts into my ribcage. I will have to use it just for going out to dinner or when it will only be worn for a few hours. It's definitely not an all day work bra!

I have worn this bra for five years now. Amazing how it's held up!! Pros: good minimizing effect. Yes, some have commented on the "spread" to the sides - but if you want to minimize, the breast tissue has got to go outward! That's why it's so difficult to get a great minimizer in the larger cup sizes. So this one fits the bill. Cons: The wire does gather at the middle and this means that it often pokes out at an awkward angle right in the center. I think this could be solved by pushing the wires outward and putting a stay stitch in the middle - but really this is the way the bra is designed, so I only wear it with things where this will not show. I really wish that this were a good tee shirt bra - it's not. I still think this bra is a great value, and it has served me well. I will purchase it again, as I continue my search for an affordable minimizer that will work under ALL my tops.

Pretty bra. For me the straps were an issue. On the shortest setting, they were still not short enough. Also, I found the back fabric to be a bit flimsy and lacking in support. I still wear it as part of my "bra rotation" on days when good support will not be a problem.

So far So good. I just got this bra and so far it's wonderful. The straps are wider set than I'm used to but they're not moving or trying to fall off my shoulders. The wires really are soft and a bit bendy. I think that's why they're not poking me even though they end up going to my armpits. The shape is good. In other bras I feel like I have to move around my boobs that eventually migrate to live under my arms. In this one they stay put and aren't in the way when I'm working.

I think I finally found a bra that I like!! (I only tried on; haven't worn yet, BUT) The underwire didn't poke under my armpits like most underwire bras--Anyone who is short, knows what I mean--My only suggestion would be--can you please make in C" cup? I got the D, and it seems a teeny bit big in the cup, but I have an excellent seamstress who will take it in a bit. It's not HerRoom's fault--I'm between a C and D cup. But I think this just may be my new fav bra!

I was fitted for this bra at a boutique and I'm ordering another one in blush. I love that the wires are shorter under the armpits. I sit at a computer for work and I'm short so my main issue with some bras is the wire poking my underarms. Not a problem with this bra. Lovely fit and it has lasted several months.

This bra seemed OK when I tried it on, though couldn't tell that it minimized. By the end of the day I was pooching over the top. If it attempts to minimize by having a smaller cup, I don't see how that would work for anyone.
Aviana Response:The rounded shape of the cup is what creates the minimization. It does not reduce the amount of breast tissue – merely reshapes it. IF you pooch over the top of the bra, you need a larger cup size. In the larger size, the minimization effect will be noticeable, and you will appear less projected. Aviana bras follow US standard sizing – and may not translate to the sizes by other manufacturers. Unfortunately, the 2457 is not yet offered in I cup. I believe this is what you need to achieve the look you desire.

Any other bra I have bought in an H fits, but with this, the band was perfect but the cup was too small. I took a look at the Aviana 2357 as suggested, but they don't come in a 34, nor do they have underwire. I don't understand why they wouldn't make the bigger sizes with the same features. I would have bought a bunch of these if they made them in bigger sizes! I gave it a three star because it is a great bra... if its fits properly.
AViana Response: Yes, it sounds like you need a 34I in the 2457. It is sometimes difficult to know where to stop a size range and to determine what sizes will sell enough bras to be profitable. Aviana learns from their customers and when they tell them they need higher cups in a certain style, as you just have. They appreciate the feedback they receive from customers, and they will get to work in making more sizes! By the way - making a higher cup size isn't as easy as it may seem. It doesn't just get geometrically bigger everywhere, as it takes a great deal of work from designers to insure that the larger cup fits as it should.

I went down a band size and up a cup size and still the underwire pops forward.
HerRoom Response: Going down a band size and up a cup size, only gave you a smaller band. You need a larger cup to stop this symptom.
Aviana Response:I'm afraid you need a bigger cup than this bra offers. It stops at H cup, and it sounds like you might need an I or J cup. I recommend trying the Aviana 2357
in size 38I or J. Although this bra does not have an underwire, it offers superb shape and minimization, and is extremely supportive. Best of all, since it's wireless, there is zero chance of wires popping forward!

Finally, a bra I feel I don't have to return. May even order the other color. I haven't given the bra a trial run yet because I just got it, but so far so good. I tired it on and it fits my large cup sized-breast well. My only complaint is I wish it were available in a 32H and that it only had to two hooks.

Very pretty bra and I thought well constructed, but it dosen't have enough support for my size. I do have large heavy breasts and they look saggy in this bra. I was sorry it didn't work well for me.
Aviana Response:
I suspect the problem may be that, while you wear a 44DD in bras you find out in stores, in our brand you needed something different. Whatever size you wear in "department store" bras, I always recommend going down a band size and up a cup size when trying a "boutique" brand bra. We size our bras correctly, and we have ample range of cup sizes to allow you to use the band size meant for you. You may want to try a 42F and see what happens? In the proper size 2457, you absolutely will not sag.

The straps are set too wide set for a bra in this size. Heavy breasts sink toward the middle and are not held in place, puffing over the top in the middle. Will never buy this style again
HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. Your comment has been forwarded to Aviana.
Aviana Response:
Aviana straps are set close in the back to prevent shoulder slippage while maintaining proper separation in front. Set any closer, straps or cup material would show under v neckline tops. When breast tissue is pillowing over the top of the cup, the cup is not large enough, and the answer is to try a larger cup size. Placement of the straps will not affect cup capacity, nor will it prevent the "pillow" from occurring. I recommend trying the 36H! C. Webb - Aviana

The cup size fit. The bra doesn't provide good support and "flimsy". The wire pokes out between the breasts & can be seen under shirts. I do not like this bra.

Excellent support for home-grown mature breasts on a narrow ribcage. I love the comfort and lift while not looking like I'm carrying around a pair of melons. Structure nicely takes most of the weight off the shoulders. The seaming and lace at the top of the cup are probably not smooth enough to wear under a light solid color knit shirt. Under print knits the bra is fine. Hard to remember when the girls last stood up like this.

This is just about the best bra I've owned since my "augmentation" from nursing! I used to be a 34 C! It has taken me ten years to figure out that there is such a thing as an 'H' cup. Onward.
The bra is comfortable, the under wires fit perfectly, do not dig into my armpits.
The degree of minimization is just right - one would not know they were wearing a 'minimizer' except for the ease of fitting big boobs into a size 12 dress.
Straps are supportive and do not fall off my shoulders!!
I am very narrow through the rib cage, and shoulders - most straps fall down and many bands in my cup size do not fit. Not so with this bra.
Only two minor comments for potential buyers to think about. For me, the band size seems a bit on the snug side AND: this is not a tee shirt bra! Nor does it pretend to be. I really wish I could find something this good to wear under tee shirts! I have been searching for something in my size - cannot seem to find anything in AVIANA. Still this bra works so well on all other fronts that I bought three more! Very nice bra.

I really didn't like this bra. It had no support, and simply didn't fit well. The shape seems to rely on the ability of the breast to hold up the cup -- not a good thing in this size. Sadly, I had forgotten that I had tried this bra before, a couple of years ago, and really didn't like it then! It's possible that it could work for a 20-something in a smaller size... but then, why would she want a 'minimizer"?

The size is right on me so I'm not falling out, and the wires don't dig into me anywhere, but the middle doesn't lay flat against my chest so you can tell that it's poking out farther from my breasts. Not bad of a bra but I wouldn't buy it again.

My mother ordered this bra in 38G for me last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have since lost 25 pounds and am back to my original size of 36G, so I decided to order another one. This bra is great for minimizing and lifting so that I can fit well into certain tops that I would otherwise be unable to wear. My only complaint is that the cup is full-size, and I am rather shallow in the cup (top to bottom). This results in a little extra material, which tends to roll up.

I was not as happy with the fit of this bra versus the 2452 (which I love) because it seemed to be too wide across the front. Hard to describe the actual fit. The straps seem to be to wide set. Was going to return but decided to keep. Thought it just might be me. Will try to wear because I usually love a mininizer since it helps with fit of blouses that button down the front. Probably will not order this bra again. Will just hang with the 2452. Aviana Response: Hi Roberta. I'm Christie with Aviana. Yes – the 2457 is a different fit than the 2452. It is built for a different body type than the 2452, and may just not be the bra for you. Anyone reading this should hear this…IF IT DOESN’T FIT, RETURN IT! Every bra style SHOULDN’T fit you. Thousands of styles exist for a reason – we are all different. Neither HerRoom nor Aviana wants you to keep a bra that doesn’t fit!

Great bra! I like the shape it gives me. I feel very supported and secure in this bra. Not good for T-shirts--you can see the seam. The band size feels a little big, like I could go down a size. I am wearing this bra at this size and it feels ok, but will order one size smaller band size next time. I would definitely order this bra again, and I recommend it. Aviana Response: Our bands do run a little large. It is always a good idea to go down a band size from what you wear in other manufacturers. Christie with Aviana

So far, so good. Of course, I haven't worn it yet, just tried it on. That said, it was comfortable from the first minute on. One person noted that the underwire goes too far back; it does sit beneath my armpit, but it doesn't feel odd there. As others have noted, the front wires do not lay against my sternum; I noticed a HerRoom response that said that a minimizer isn't expected to. That surprised me. I am now not sure what to do. Depending on the bra, I can fit into a US G or H; because it didn't sit flat, I assumed I needed an H, but am not sure it will make a difference.
Per the shaping, it is a minimizer and does make the breasts more rounded and pushes a bit toward the sides. That said, compared to other minimizers, this one seems to have a much more natural shape than any other minimizer I've ever tried on. I measured myself as 1" smaller (48 instead of 49) with this compared to a full coverage "regular" bra with a more projected shape. Aviana Response: There are some minimizers built to “skirt” the outside of the breasts, pushing them back toward the chest wall and not tacking in the center. The 2457 should tack in the center if it is the correct size and style for you. If you find the best fitting size and it doesn’t tack, you have to decide if you can live with it. HerRoom is right – it isn’t going to tack in the center on everybody. Christie - Aviana

This is my second review of this bra. I have been wearing this bra for 4-5 years. I still love it, but what I am witnessing now is a lower quality in the side stretch panels. Brand new, the hooks just barely reach the last set, but after about 10 wearings, I'm at the tightest. If I buy the smaller 42DD, I can't even hook it at all when new. It's still a great bra, and the best I've tried, but at nearly $50.00, I might start looking around again. Oh...and I do not have the wires poking up in front that others have mentioned. When new, it fits and feels like a dream. It just does not wear well. (I am 5'3) Aviana Response: I have worked for Aviana since it’s inception. We have not changed our vendor or the specifications for the back band fabric. We may have to very soon, since most US fabric manufacturers are being put out of business by Asian imports. We take great pride in the fact that we use only the highest quality materials in our bras. These are memory fabrics, and must have a day of dryness before re-wearing. This will cause the fabrics to maintain their original properties for much longer. Christie, Aviana

I haven't been comfortable in an underwire for years, but can hardly wait to order 4 more of these. They're wonderful; it does poke forward a bit, but that's a small price to pay for having a bra that's actually a comfortable fit.

I did not like the look of this bra. To minimize it pushes your breasts close to your armpits. I don't like that look. It is not as comfortable as other bra's I've tried and did not do much as far as minimizing either. A true let down. Aviana Response: Hi Jill! At 34H you realize that all that breast tissue has got to go somewhere! In order to flatten the breast by 1 cup size, it must be spread out, so yes, some goes out to the side. On a narrower body like yours, perhaps this is just too much under your arm. Sounds like this just isn’t your style. Please try the 2353 or 2352 which also offer the 34H size without the wire, and keeps the tissue up front. Neither is a minimizer, but will give you a great shape I bet you will love. First of all I bought this bra on another website and it is absolutely horrible and not worth the money, whether on sale or not; it's not made well at least not for the women with larger size breasts like myself. After one wear I had to use the last row of the closure snaps when I put it on. I've only had it for 3 months and I'm ready to throw the two I bought away. Aviana Response: Aviana bras, like most bras, are made with memory fabrics. These fabrics are designed to go back to their original shape after washing. If the bra is worn, not washed, then worn again, body chemicals will begin to break down the fabrics and it will begin to stretch to the shape of the wearer. If the wearer is using a size that is actually wrong for her, it may stretch or wear unusually. Memory fabrics should be gently washed, then hung dry and left dry for 24 hours before another wear. That's right - let it sit, after drying, for a day before wearing! This allows memory fabrics to return to shape. Bras worn every day, even if washed at night, will begin to lose shape quickly. Keep in mind that having more bras in your drawer and rotating them makes them last much longer. 1 bra worn daily may give 90 wearings or 90 days. 4 bras, worn less than 2 times a week, washed and left dry, will last 2-3 years. We'll actually sell you fewer bras if you follow our advice! Christie Webb, Aviana

I am 60 years old and just finding a cup size to fit. I wish more stores carried bigger cup sizes so we did not have to play the return game. With my larger stomach I guess I am not a candidate for underwire bras. Just too uncomfortable. The wires between the breasts protruded outward which was the main reason for returning the bra. Aviana Response: You may be a candidate! You just need to find the style that works for you! Those wires protruding probably means the cup isn't deep enough, and the band may be too small.
My suggestion as a manufacturer of bras exclusively for women like us, TRY NEW STYLES & NEW SIZES! We manufacturers are TERRIBLE at maintaining size consistency not only within the industry but within our own product lines. A 44H in Aviana may be a 48E in another brand, and yes, a 44H in the Aviana 2353 doesn't have exactly the same cup capacity in the Aviana 2457. Herroom has a great return policy, so you can shop without worry - so just order lots of things at once, try them when you are cool and relaxed - then send back what doesn't work! - Christie Webb, Aviana

Finding a well fitting bra has been a challenge for me for many years. If the front is flat against my breast bone, then the wires go too far in the back ... almost behind my underarm area. The front wire justs outward and forward when I sit down (even if I keep my back Victorian lady straight). Perhaps if the wire was about an inch shorter in front it would be ideal.
However, this his bra was comfortable from the time I took it right from the packaging. The fabric and lace weren't stiff and scratchy. My upper breast material doesn't jiggle around even though the lace is delicate in feel.
I am delighted that it doesn't give me a pointy, torpedo look. I simply wish the wires would lay flat against my breastbone when I sit down. HerRoom Response: Thank you for your feedback. From your comments it sounds like you are in the wrong size, and/or are short in stature. If you are under 5'4" it's possible that the underwires are too large for your frame. One option is to look at demi cup bras. Also, this bra is a minimizer. This means the wires will not sit flat against your sternum. I really don't think this style bra is right for you. Aviana Response: I agree - this may not be your style. It is our best selling underwire, but that doesn't mean it fits everybody. Try others and good luck! Christie Webb, Aviana

Very pretty bra but its cut too low for me. My breasts spill over the top. Aviana Response: Breasts spilling over means your cup isn't deep enough, and may hint that the band isn't right either. Don't rely on fit charts - try several styles in several sizes. Don't rely on historical fittings at stores either. Your bra size can change based on what you had for breakfast. In fact, you may need a couple of sizes & styles in your drawer just to get through a month! Think about days when you are bloated, or feeling thin - we know these things affect our jeans, but they affect our bra size too! Try 38H. Christie Webb, Aviana

This bra is wonderful, will never buy anything else, I have found my winner! Straps stay up (I am 5'4" too) and no underwire pokes forward when I sit down, I read that in other comments and was concerned, I know from past bras, that can be a nightmare. This bra would be wonderful if the underwire did not poke forward when I sat down. I saw that HerRoom had responded to this issue in other people's comments stating that the wrong size had been ordered, but I know that I had ordered the right size because I had been professionally sized by an authorized Aviana dealer. I have a full-figure build and no matter how I sat, the underwire always made me look deformed and as if I had a large stick between my breasts. When I stand up, there is no problem with the underwire and the bra is actually quite comfortable. I just wish that the underwire did not come up so far between the breasts because I feel that this would remedy the situation. HerRoom Response: Thank you for your comment. You are correct. This can happen when you sit down if you are not sitting up straight.

I've been wearing this bra for some 4 years or so. I find it to be tremendously comfortable, in fact the best that I've found to date. The only reason that I give it 4 stars is that the fabric covering the wire could be heavier. Eventually the wire will poke through. Or maybe the wire needs to be longer/better fit. Still, highly recommend. Debra

There is very little adjustment of the straps possible on this bra so if you're not very tall (I'm 5'4"), the straps are extremely long, making it impossible to wear this bra. Aviana Response: All Aviana straps are designed to be shortened without any sewing.
Step 1: Identify the slider. Thats a wide metal piece that has 2 oblong holes through which the strap slides. Pull the strap up from the middle of the slider making a loop, then move the strap through the top hole of the slider past the wide part of the strap. It may be a little difficult to move the seam of the wide part through the top of the slider. This is OK.
Step 2: Put the slider wherever you want on the strap. If you are very short-waisted, put it all the way in the front. Do not attempt to move the strap through the bottom hold of the slider until you have the top where you want it.
Step 3: Pull the strap through the bottom half of the slider. Leave a small loop of strap at the top of the slider so you will be able to easily move it when you try it on. Once it is correctly placed, pull the strap flat in the slider.

I find the bra material to roll at the bottom of the cup. I've tried the 40G and the 38H and they both do this. It also sticks out from the breast bone when I sit down. Seeing this I order the next size up and it still does it. The straps are comfortable. HerRoom Response: All your symptoms sound like your cup size is too small - not your band size. If you see rolling on the sides and your center panel is leaning forward, your bra is not resting under your breasts correctly. I also bet you are rather short in stature. Try the 38H. Aviana Response: This may not be your bra. If you want to give Aviana another shot, try the 2353 38H or 36I. This bra won't roll unless it's sized wrong. We appreciate your trying our styles. A nice looking bra, but the underwire rubbed my arm where it ended under my armpit. Then I sat down and saw a large "V" sticking out from my chest because the underwire did not lay flat against my chest. Can't wear a bra that makes me looked deformed when I'm sitting down! The worst thing is that I took off the tags and put on perfume, thinking I could put up with the underarm rubbing...it was in the car 15 minutes later when I saw what it did when I was sitting. Now I can't even return it. HerRoom Response: All your symptoms point to you not being in the right size bra. It sounds like your cup size is too small. This is why the center wires are poking forward, and you are catching the wire at your underarm.

What I like about this bra is the comfortable straps, but I found the underwire to be a bit flimsy and does not lay completely on the breast bone. I found this bra to be a comfortable one to sleep in, but the overall support is lacking. The lace gives a sexy appearance to this bra, but due to its thinness, it began to rip after a couple of wearings. I'd suggest this bra if you're looking for light to medium support.

I'm finding this bra pretty comfortable, although the middle seam between the breasts pops forward and won't stay on the breast bone. But considering the number of bras that haven't worked at all for me, I'm grateful this one is comfy and gives a decent shape. HerRoom Response: When the center panel does not rest on your sternum, this is a symptom of your cup size being too small. Also, keep in mind that this is a minimizer bra. Therefore this is the one bra style where if the center panel is not resting between your breasts, it is okay.
