I have been searching for a wireless bra that also provides support and an uplifting silhouette under my clothing. This bra checked all of these boxes. It is comfortable and washes well in a lingerie bag on a delicate cycle and hang to dry. Sandra from New Jersey

Love this style bra and have been wearing them for years, The cotton content makes them more comfortable in the summer heat. The three-seam cup is a better fit for me. When I was working these were my everyday bra. roxana from Colorado Springs, Colo

Wow. I think I found that perfect bra I was looking for. While I admit I do not like 100% the shape it creates, but I don't care. I was looking for at home all day comfortable bra that does not push anywhere, but still provides great support. Marina from USA

I have been wearing the Rosa Faia Twin underwire bra for years and I wanted to try a bra without wires and this bra is perfect. Extremely comfortable and supportive. I don't find that it gives me a conical configuration. Highly recommend it. Ladybug from Atlanta, GA

Great choice for comfortable support of a large bust, especially in Florida heat and humidity. Nice wide straps. I’d give it 5 stars, but I’m not a fan of the 50’s conical shape; I prefer a round shape. It’s supportive and comfortable. Sunny from Florida

The B cup on this bra was larger than the C cup on another. On this bra, towards the top of the cup, I could fold it or take a good-sized tuck in it. Had to return it as it didn't fit me well.

HerRoom Response: You have not said what 2 bras you are comparing, so I cannot really comment on your statement. AS for a tuck. I see that you are petite in height. This is a full coverage bra with not a lot of strap adjust-ability. This style sounds like it's not a good match for you. Diane from Virginia Beach, VA

After having a breast lift, I needed a comfortable bra to wear 24/7 for months on end and this is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn. I love the support i get and even wear it out instead of my usual underwire bras for daytime. This bra is unique in the fact that it is cotton, which makes it breathable for sleeping and exercise, since i wear it for walking and gym workout while still feeling fully supported. I would highly recommend this bra to everyone. Ann from Dallas, TX

I am so disappointed. It's so hard with very large cup sizes because it really changes how the bra looks on. This bra pushed my breasts out to the sides and was rather pointy. It gave me the total granny shape I did not want. Horrible. Fit was good and pretty comfortable... it was the shape it gave my breasts that has me sad. :(

Anita Response: Unfortunately wire free bras will never give the same shape and support as a bra with a wire. If you're dead set on wearing a wire free bra we suggest trying Clara which has a side support to help keep you front and center. Lisa from NY

Amazingly comfortable! I wear very rigid bras normally, and wanted one to wear in the evenings at home for comfort only. This bra feels so good to wear, German made, well constructed! I ordered up a band size for comfort, but I shouldn't have, it's very stretchy, so I'll need to exchange. I may wear this for everyday wear too! Very expensive but well worth it. AIA from Chicago, IL

So glad this bra has added I cup. As I tweak my sizing--challenging--I am finding smaller band (34), larger cup (I) means more comfort. Wish the cups were slightly firmer on the outsides--they do get saggy by the end of the day--but I cannot wear underwire per oncologist (cancer survivor) and this bra is consistently the best combination of comfort and attractiveness. Thanks, Anita, for making it! and HerRoom for stocking it! Older Mainer from Maine

For years I've been wearing the 5427 and one other Anita bra. Suddenly, quality control has gone out the window. The eye hooks currently being used are of such poor quality that they come apart and you end up with three pinching wires that can no longer be hooked. I notified the manufacturer about this, but was totally ignored. Too bad - better find something else!

Anita Response: Make sure you're laundering your bras correctly. Refer to HerRoom's Lingerie Washing Guidelines for assistance. Susanne K. from 08886

This is the only bra I wear. Good coverage and support. 2 minor flaws: Shoulder straps slip often so each time I wear the bra I tighten the straps until they can't be made any smaller. Then time for a new bra. The seams in the front are what makes it so supportive; however they show through on some tops. Also in the past year they seem to be made differently in that the tag is irritating -- they changed the material used for the tag. Jody from Wayland, MA, USA

After initially not liking the (very slightly pointy) shape, I've now thrown all my other bras away. This is the only cotton bra with just-right strap placement so they don't slip down *or* cut into the neck. Try multiple sizes until you get the fit just right. The 38B fit me, and I'm usually 36C. I'm a pretty average B/C cup and if it worked, would probably have to go to an A or AA in this bra. Sizing down 2 sizes I still had puckering and gapping when raising my arms up. Gave up after 2 returns. Too bad, synthetics cause me to break out and sweat.

Absolutely beautiful materials, craftsmanship and comfort, but the pointy cup should be toned down. This is the most beautifully executed cotton bra I've ever bought. The fabric, lace, bindings, hooks, etc., are all just gorgeous. Smooth, breathable, comfortable. I love the outwardly angled comfort straps and the smooth, metal-hook closure band. It fits like a second skin, and does a really good job at achieving a retro, 1960s style profile which I unfortunately do not want. I tried it in both 36C and 36D. Both were comfortable, but both were pointy. Because I love everything else about this cotton bra, I'm going to give it another try in a 36B, to see if cramming myself into a smaller cone doesn't round it out a bit. I may even take apart the horizontal seam and redo it as more of a curve, which in my opinion is what the manufacturer should do with this otherwise almost perfect bra.

HerRoom Response: I just tried one on myself and I am usually a 34G in Rosa Faia styles, but this is a Comfort bra and I could probably get away with a F cup in this one. So I would agree that trying a B cup would be your best option. You might enjoy a Rosa Faia style better considering this Comfort style is geared more towards heavier breasts. kate from Portland

Let me preface this by saying that I had to swear off underwires after discovering that I was getting nerve damage from them. So I've been searching for a non-underwire bra that is decently comfortable and supportive. While this isn't the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that I'm still searching for, it's pretty good. It's cottony, so the material doesn't irritate my skin in the summer heat. Doesn't cut into my shoulders. Pretty supportive early in the day but after about three hours of wearing, I still end up with uniboob/butt on the chest syndrome. I wish I could find something that gives the lift and separation of an underwire without the constriction and nerve damage. Still searching for my perfect bra but I still turn to this one as a good choice most days. Amanda from Salt Lake City, Utah

I had bought a cotton Anita several years ago that I loved. No longer available. So I'm tried this. The underarm band is extremely rough. I am small across the chest though a DDDD cup. The cup seems long on the upper part, though these old nursed baby boobs do not fit a perky 20 yr old styling. My always need more strap length than others provide also. I seem to need to size to down a band size. Hopefully that will solve the armpit issue. Christi (Pending 3-31-2014) from USA

I don't expect a wireless 44H bra to have great support and this one does not have great support. But my purpose was to find a comfy -run errands-lounge around the the house in my sweats bra - and this fits the bill perfectly. It's very comfy and does give some support. I found it fits true to size. The straps stay on, it fits almost perfect, and I can move around without being poked as I often am with a wired bra (many seem to be made for taller women). I plan on buying another. clubnev

I am so pleased with this bra. True it is not the most sexy thing, however I was looking for function and sooo glad I found it here. Obviously most women are not an H cup, but if you are you know that finding a bra that fits and does the job is the most important thing. I have had migraines & back issues since high school and this is the FIRST bra in my life that ever fit properly, I know this because as soon as I put it on I didn't even feel like I was wearing a bra. There is no stretchy fabric, it's solid and supportive without the neck, shoulder or back strain, wish I found this 30 years ago! Kathy from Maine, US

Having done the correct size survey, I ran into a problem which I thought you corrected. But apparently not. The cup was too big and the width fit but not comfortably. I think the bra looks great. I returned it and hope it can be exchanged for a 44B. What do you think. I'd been sick so hadn't tried bathing suit ( separate order) . Think it was an irregular. For someone with a quite large bottom. It stuck out, thanks.

Anita Response: We are an EU company and therefore our fit is sometimes a bit different than expected. Its a wonderful supportive bra with a 3-section cup which gives perfect support. Karin from Ballston Spa

I've never spent so much for a bra in my life. But at the age of 59 nothing else worked for me. The guide that this website offers has helped me like non other and I followed the suggestions. I love the way this bra fits, but I did get a larger size around since I hate being "cinched" up like a horse. And a cup size down since my breasts no longer have any real substance ( like trying to keep "slime" in one place. They flow wherever they want) Georgia from Rohnert Park, CA USA

Finding a comfortable bra is hard. I did the "know your breasts" survey and the "bra fitting made easy." I have tried numerous other bras, including the Wacoal everyone talks about, an Elila, some styles that were supposed to be good for my build. I got poked by wires, front bands curled up, straps slipped down. Ugh. None of them measure up to the Anita Jana. This bra is so comfortable. The straps felt weird at first - they don't stretch in the front. But once the bra is on and I put my breasts in the cups, it feels great. I wish it was a little prettier, but that's a small problem. I am happy. Thanks Tomima for all the helpful info. Judith from San Mateo CA USA

I was so happy to receive my bra in yesterdays mail. I quickly went to try it on and was so happy with the fit so I kept it on. I have had such bad experience with bras in the past. With them being supportive at first and then quickly losing support after only a few hours. I have been desperately searching for a bra that will support me and keep the ladies from sagging. I believe that I have finally found the perfect bra for me. Thank you Anita and herroom.com. I can't wait to tell my mother about this bra! Crista from Tucson/AZ/USA

I am happy with this bra mostly because it is cotton, and is comfortable as such and absorbant during hot weather. It gives me a nice silhouette, which is another plus. The one downside for me is that the straps are just slightly too short for my comfort...another 1/8" would make the bra perfect for me. But, as it is, it is the most comfortable bra I have tried to date. Joyce from Ft Lauderdale, FL

This is the second one of this style I have ordered. This style seems to run a little larger in girth than my other Anita styles, but those are sports bra...so maybe they are just tighter? Anyways I am a natural 34H (in Anita) and heavy. Plus I have Fibro-myalgia, so sometimes I can not stand to wear a bra with an under-wire...it is just too painful. So far, this is the best wireless I have found. It is supportive enough that I am not self-conscious to wear it out and about, and yet comfortable when my fibro is flaring up. Nell from VA, USA

I did not like it; it didn't fit right. I don't understand how B cups can be so big, that's why I get a B because I need them smaller and it never happens.

Anita Response: We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the fit of this bra. We usually get only very good feedback on this bra and it is one of our best selling ones. Through the 3-section cup it gives a lot of support and shapes the breast. Maybe one of our other non wired bras will be better for your needs and your comfort. Fabric is horrible; very itchy.

Anita Response: This bra has no microfiber and through this it is not as smooth as any other microfiber non seamed bra. We designed this bra to give support and a nice shaped breast sprecially in large cup sizes. Definitely in large cup sizes, this bra is very well received in the market. Also, this is especially for women which like garments with lots of cotton - therefore the content is 80%. I tried this bra as I was looking for a cotton bra for coolness and comfort. It is difficult to find anything in my size, usually a 44I or 44K. I tried this one and to my amazement, it actually fit me! I find it very comfortable: I don’t mind the roughness of the material: it is cotton, and therefore okay. This is the only bra made by Anita that goes up to a 44H. Because of my size, all bras are uncomfortable for more than a few hours, so I have to remove them as soon as I can. This bra is the same. There is no bra for my size which can lift or separate, so I have to make do. The breasts end up squashed together in the front and weighing heavily on my ribcage at the front (underneath the breasts and in the middle). I therefore have painful bruising in that area, making it impossible to wear any bra. This one is as good as any. I suggest that Anita make this bra (and others) in larger sizes, though. This bra is also pretty expensive, especially when you have to add postage to Australia. It is a pity that Her Room does not offer a cheap postage option. The existing postage options are okay if you are purchasing more than one bra, but when you are ordering only one (which is sometimes necessary for fitting reasons), it is a bit steep to have to pay $28 extra. Otherwise, I am very happy with Her Room. And a big thank you to all of you who have written such helpful reviews! They have been so helpful for me ordering bras from overseas. This is a well made bra but the cup size are much too large. Normally I wear a 48D and in this bra I went down to a 46B. I wish the Anita folks made their specific sizing chart available.

I gave it a low rating because I had to use the last row of hooks (tightest) which doesn't leave room for stretching in the future. The fabric was wonderful as were the straps. Another negative, for a full size bra, the band under the breast section was much too narrow. For good support, it should have been wider. Other than those 2 negatives, it is an excellent quality.

Anita Response: In this case, we would suggest you go up a band size to a 44F and then it will give you the opportunity to adjust the hooks in the back. We think it may be too tight of a band for you. Joan from s. salem,ny

Very supportive considering no underwire. Also very comfortable. I have purchased 5 of these is the last month. I certainly hope this style will be available for a long time. Would recommend this bra to any woman who has had difficulty finding a supportive bra without underwire. I normally wear a size 44D. Recommend going lower in size around and increase cup size. I just ordered 2 more in a size 40E so that if I lose some weight I will be able to use the other hooks. The size I have now is hooked on the 3rd one so I have no adjustment if I lose weight. This style is wrong for me, the 3 part cup design gives me a 'pointy' shape and the material is rough and scratchy. I returned it.

HerRoom Response: Many times when you end up with a "pointy" shape, you are not filling out the cups. Consider going down a cup size.

Anita Response: This bra was specially made for large cup sizes which need a strong material for the support. It also contains lots of cotton and therefore it can not be that smooth like a microfiber bra. But still it is one of the best selling bras in the anita comfort line.

The 3-part cup gives the best support to large cup sizes and band sizes. We do apologize that this was not an item for you but hope you find another smooth cup- microfiber item from our line in Rosa Faia maybe. Victoria from Clearfield Pa

This and the other bra I purchased are terrible the sizing is way off , they are way too big, the fabric on this bra "the Anita" was awful for the price. I expected a soft smooth fabric, this fabric is very scratchy on your skin. I would not recommend this product.

I'm still questioning the right size. According to the "rules" I should be in a 44 B but no matter what size, the band rolls and it hikes up in the back. I've set the hooks on this one at the smallest and that helps, but the back is too high to reach easily for hooking. If I do the hooking in front and turn it around, the straps are difficult to get over my shoulders. The bra itself is probably one of the nicest I've ever had... well made and all, but the boobs still sag. Eunice from Salt Lake City, Ut

I had a professional fitting for this bra at a local store, and found that I was a 34G, instead of my usual 36F. The fit is very snug with fabulous support around, so that the shoulders are not pulled down by the weight of large breasts. The shape is quite good. The snug fit did take getting used to, and initially the bra felt a bit tight. It gives a little over time, and after a break-in period it feels absolutely fantastic to put on. I actually look forward to putting on my bra now, which is a landmark experience! I have just ordered three more. Susan

Not as advertised, no padding, no lift, back rolled.

Anita Response: The customer indicates, that the cup didn’t lift her breasts and the back rolled, which are indications that the size wasn’t correct. The back rolls especially in big sizes, when the band size is too tight. We recommend to use our measurement chart to find the right size. Comfortable is the first word that comes to mind. But, there's more. The bra shapes nicely without underwires, the cotton is comfortable and the straps stay put and don't dig in. The strap comfort is dependent upon proper band fit. With this bra, the band fits snugly enough that it doesn't ride up the back, but still flexes enough that normal breathing is possible. A miracle! This bra was very comfortable, but I returned it. I have worn underwire bras forever. I thought I would try a non-underwire bra.

I was not happy with the way my breasts looked. I especially missed the side support. I thought I looked like I was not wearing a bra at all. I was just too "saggy" in this bra.

Anita Response: The underwire gives the bra a lot of support and forms the breast especially in bigger cups like 38H. Some customers prefer the non-underwire bra because it's more comfortable for them, but it won't form the breast like an underwire bra. Most of our customers report that they prefer underwire or non-underwire, only a very few like both, so it's probably also personal preference what you like better. Linda

1) what gives with the front of the bra near the arms... who decided that anyone with this much chest could afford to have their arms rendered useless via this bra's straight jacket technique? Too much material near the arms in front of the bra... makes one feel very constricted.

2) the lift offered by this bra is minimal at best. the lift and separation make me feel a bit freakish as my breasts tend to head in that direction anyway, but the lift is the big part. I honestly don't see much difference between when I'm wearing the bra and not wearing the bra.

I've worn a 38 band forever and with this the band it is just slightly too big. It doesn't make for uncomfortable breathing(don't want that), but it also feels like the bra is going to slip (and it frequently does). This also contributes to the bra riding up in the back... another no no.

The cup size is accurate, I suppose, but again there is the fact that my boobs are truly going in opposite directions (the fact that my breasts have that torpedo effect is very annoying). I don't want uni-boob exactly but this much boob on the side is ridiculous.

I'd like to see a hint of elastic in the over the shoulder area. Again, too much restriction makes it hard for a woman to move.

All together I like this bra's attempt, but I can say from one very picky person to another, someone in the bra industry needs the "big" girls to help them decifer what will actually work.

I ususally buy Bodywise bras in Australia and they are the most comfortable I've found, but I'm trying for more support since I became a G cup.

HerRoom Response: We appreciate your review. Given the many positive comments about this bra from others, we can't help but wonder if you are confused on the sizing since in Australia, they size bras differently.

Anita Response: Wow - I never heard this before. Yes maybe you need to get info on how to fit the bra properly and to adjust the straps - that can help to get a better fit for the boobs' shape. Also this bra is made to give support all around and therefore we have to go wider in the straps and wider on the armhole to cover these areas. Susan from OP, KS

The band on this bra was too big, and they don't make them any smaller, so I've returned it to try for something else. I've been looking for a wireless bra that provides a lot of support, but with such a big band this definitely wasn't it. I've never tried anything from this brand before, so I'm not sure if it is just this style that runs large, or the whole brand.

Anita Response: Also one top selling bra in the US and worldwide for us - never heard of such a complaint. A very supportive bra with inside cotton material is also 5404 which runs till H cup even. Style 5448 is a Top seller and I would suggest that one. Meghan from Vermont

I have other Anita bras that I like a lot. I tried following the size guide for this bra and the band was fine,40,but the cup was way to large. It said if there was 8 inches difference you wear an H in this bra. I think maybe it should have been an E. But unfortunately I did not like the materiel or style well enough to try other sizes.

HerRoom Response: The measuring system really falls apart after a size D cup. If you are larger than a D, you really need to try on different cup sizes. June from Colonial Heights,Va,US

Not enough support or padding. I sag a lot and need more of a molded cup. I don't understand why bra manufacturers don't realize that older women need nipple coverage more than younger women!

I was not pleased with this bra at all. I found it to be very non supportive, and when you're as large as I am, you need all the support you can get. I feel it needs more side support and different material. It was rough and just not comfortable. But, with bra shopping online, it's just trial and error. I've decided to return it and exchange it for a brand I've previously purchased. Bobbi from Taylorsville

I don't love or adore it, but I definitely like it. It does feel much less noticeable and restrictive than a normal bra. That said, it seems to rely on support from the shoulder straps more than I think it should. Specifically, how well I look once I put a shirt on, has a lot to do with the strap length. But, it certainly hasn't given me any shoulder pain and makes my chest & back feel much more comfortable than normal. Over all, I like the way it feels when its on but am not so impressed by the shape it gives me. Ginger from Manhattan, KS, USA

Provides great support with a wonderful defined shape and is very comfortable. After many months of wear and hand-washing, the fabric is still near-new. Beautiful fit for the large busted, as with my older Anita. The surprise is that it feels more like paper than cotton. It's not see-through but is very lightweight. This should be very cool in the summer. It's very comfortable and supports well w/o a wire. However there are flat seams inside the cup, if you are looking for seamless. I am post-lumpectomy and was looking for softer material and seamless over the nipple and side. It's a keeper, though. Marguerite from upstate NY

The fit seemed great, but the second time it was worn, I got a spot under my arm rubbed raw and still have a red spot a week later. Don't know if it's because I'm only 4'11 or if it's the material. Any ideas for those of us vertically challenged?

HerRoom Response: Women who are petite in stature and full figured do have challenges with bras fitting correctly. This is why we have a Plus Size Petite category on our site. We work with our lingerie manufacturers to identify what bras tend to work for women like yourself who are "vertically challenged." Please check it out. nancy from Palm Bay FL

I have never been able to find a bra that fits my particular physique, short, fat and sassy, but the moment I put this bra on, I have been amazed at how well it fit. This is the most comfortable bra I have ever had in my entire life. Nothing else has ever come close. I will only buy Anita bras from now on. I just can't believe that a bra could be this comfortable. For any of you that are balking at the price, it is very, very worth it. Instead of buying 3 or 4 department store bras, one of these bras will more than make up for the price of all other bras. Really!!! It is that good!!! Thank You Andrea from Petaluma, CA, USA

Not perfect but there are good things about this bra. First, I would prefer an underwire but have been so unsuccessful finding a good one that I tried this soft cup. Medium support. Width of band under arms good but I wish it would stay wide all around to the back clasp for additional support. 5 clasps would be better than 3. Straps have some stretch but it isn't too much. Straps do slip a little but not off the shoulder all the way. Manufacturer: please make this fabric into an underwire bra in larger sizes. HenrysMom from Ann Arbor, MI

This is the best bra I have ever worn. It lifts my breasts, even though they are quite heavy; the band in the back stays in place instead of riding up to my shoulder blades. The bra is very comfortable. The only problem is that I realize now that I need a cup size H. I know this only because of your wonderful instructions on measuring and how to tell whether or not I need a larger cup size or a larger band size. I am so happy that I finally found a bra that looks good and feels good. However, I'm still looking into breast reduction surgery. Who wants to walk around with this burden? Nancy from Fairfax

It's 5:00, now, and I don't need to tear it off! The 5466 is too small in the cup for me, so I will be returning it for another one of these! Absolutely love it, and a friend at work noticed immediately this morning that I looked thinner - the 'girls' were up higher, where they are supposed to be, so I took off a few pounds instantly! After trying on about 12 different brands and styles of bras I settled on this style and I love it! One thing to know is the elastic softens with body heat so make sure you absolutely have the right size and don't be distressed if it is a little tight out of the box - that will change in a few minutes. I started with a 42G and ended up with a 40G. What I love about HerRoom is the opportunity to try many more brands than would be available to plus size women in a store.
