Soft and padded enough so you wont nip-out. The problem is it relies too much on the shoulders straps for support rather than proper construction which is not good as it will cause neck and back pain.

HerRoom Response: Your comment about your shoulder straps burdening too much support is almost always a sure sign that you need to go down a band size (and therefore up a cup size). Shoulder pain is caused by lack of support by the band. Farah from Ypsilanti

Seams on the side that locate under the arm are too rigid.

HerRoom Response: The sides have a flexible boning to give the bra structure to stay up. Bev from Mesa, AZ USA

Great bra. I was so excited to try it, but it was way too big in the cup area. Jane from Tampa

I bought this bra for my 94 year old mother. She loves them and the staff at her nursing home is very imprressed with them. I'm going to buy a couple for myself. MARCIA from Benicia

The descrlption suggested that the item ran small and to order up a size. This did not work for me and I returned the product. I did not reorder as I did not like the styling of the seam running horizontally across the cup.

Amoena Response: As Ruth is a cotton bra, we do suggest ordering a size larger than you would usually wear, as it does run small. We are sorry it was not as you had expected. Andrea from Greenbank, WA USA

I ordered this because is showed a lower cut then usual for bras with prosthesis, unfortunately it wasn't but wish it had been what I expected.

Amoena Response: It is a challenge to manufacture a lower front post breast surgery bra as the bras are made around our prostheses to accommodate them. We are continuing to try to make a lower front designs. Karen

This is a well made, well constructed bra made of soft durable cotton. I have two that I've had for a few years now and they hold up well. They go in the wash, but I line dry them. They're super comfortable because they don't have wire, but are ribbed, and seamed such that my champagne-cup size breasts are well supported and complemented. Love this bra. Martha from Moorpark, CA

This brand runs really large. I am usually a b cup and order AA here. This bra always looks good and holds things in the right place! J from USA

I have returned the bras as the cup was still too large.

Amoena Response: Since our bra bands are more snug than other brands, we usually suggest going up in the band size and down in the cup. Unfortunately, we understand that our smallest cup is AA. We are sorry to hear that this bra was not satisfactory. Jan from East Worcester

Cups too large.

Amoena Response: Thank you very much for your comment, we always appreciate feedback from the ladies who wear our product. We are sorry to hear that the cup was too large for you. This is not a comment we have heard previously regarding this bra but appreciate hearing from you. Liz from Atlanta, GA

Too small

Amoena Response: The Ruth bra is made from all cotton and can have a tighter band due to this, with not much stretch as in a mixed blend. It is also a very shallow fit bra. We would suggest trying Amoena Mara Contour Foam Soft Cup T-Shirt Bra 1150. Diane

They were just not what I was looking for. I ordered another style which I think will be more to my liking. With my size, it is so good to have found your company; being thin isn't all it's cracked up to be, many times can't find clothes. Glad I found you. Gayle from Bella Vista, AR

Great supportive bra but the band width is tight as other people have commented. Not sure if I ordered another one what size to get...34D or 34C??. I have not washed yet & concerned that bra might shrink. Of course won't put in dryer.

HerRoom Response:If you normally wear a 32D and would like to go up a band we suggest trying a 34C. marty from orlando,fl

I did not know that a 40AA bra would have a band measuring 30 inches and the girls would have to be surgically moved to accommodate this size.

Amoena Response: The Ruth bra is made from all cotton and can have a tighter band due to this, with not much stretch as in a mixed blend. It is also a very shallow fit bra. We would suggest trying Amoena Lara Molded Foam Soft Cup Bra 2674. Jolina from Davis, CA

Due to a hormone imbalance (hopefully temporary) I was in need of some breast support. Being single, department store shopping was not an option so I found your website and after reading some reviews, followed your fitting directions and ordered the bra. It arrived quickly and has given me relief from my problem. I probably should have gone one size up in the band, but overall the fit is good. Thanks for making an awkward situation easy and professional. M from Phoenix

Perfect. Recovering from mastitis. I had to work my way back into wearing a supportive bra. It turned out to be a great fit and cotton. This was the only site that I could find that had a cotton bra with support. Pauline from Las Cruces

I first ordered this bra in size 40B (My usual bra size was 38B to 40B) but It was really small. Reordered in size 42B, and this one fits nicely. I haven't healed from my bilateral mastectomy enough to wear it for more than a couple of hours at a time, but I have high hopes for this bra. It is the most comfortable one I've found so far. The cups are still too big.

Amoena Response: This bra is cotton which is a fiber that is not as rigid as a microfiber which may allow the cup to stretch – we suggest going down a cup size. Chris from Bridgeport

I am built for a 46AA cup but a 46 band: I have a large rib cage and a lot of fat under my arms but very small breasts. It is impossible to find a bra that fits.

HerRoom Response: We suggest checking out our Bra Fitting Center to find your perfect size in this bra. Also make sure you are getting all of your tissue inside the cup, check out How To Put on a Bra too. KK

While the fabric was soft and comfortable, the band was a little snug for a 36 and the cup was more an A than a AA. Jeannetta from Stehekin, Washington
