I ordered a AA cup. The cups on this bra are HUGE and this is not exaggeration. This is a minimum a generous C cup, leaning toward a D cup. DO NOT buy this bra if you are looking to fit a small cup size, Terribly disappointed in marketing ploy.

HerRoom Response: This bra is accurately sized for a woman. Cups become larger as the band size increases. So, your 44AA cup is the same as a 42A cup is the same as a 40B cup. AA cups in the larger cup sizes do not mean scant breast tissue. Kate from Columbus

Looks pretty grim picture than in person. also a bit disappointed because it's hard to find this specific size and they don't have many cute looking ones like you see with other sizes. So I felt this was not worth the price.

HerRoom Response: You do have a very unusual size and most manufacturers do not make it. Our selection is the best online in your size. Stephanie from WATERBURY

This is a very comfortable mastectomy bra once you figure out what size you need. It runs big. I had to size down one cup size & up one size for the band. MamaZ from Garland TX

I already had this bra in a AA so I knew I needed a larger cup so my prosthesis fit in it better. The chest size runs small so I needed a 44 to fit comfortably. It's a lovely bra, just runs small in the chest and large In the cup. It gives great support without an underwire. Just be careful to get the right size. Great buying experience. Packaging was excellent. Melane from Middletown, RI

when I received this, I gave it a 5. very comfy. After washing one time (hand washed in cold water), the front puckered. Also over the last 2 weeks, the straps have started to fall down, and the front band curls under. Very disappointing.

Amoena Response: We are very sorry to hear this and apologize for your frustrations. Straps usually fall down if the band is too large and/or the straps need adjusting, you may want to try a 42B. Jean from Arvada

Finally, a bra I can wear all day and not want to rip it off the second I get home! The fit is terrific, glad I ordered an A cup rather than a B, the cups do run large. Helps with the older women sag too! I was nervous about getting a bra I hadn't tried on, but after my first day wearing it I threw out all my Bali bras and will only order from here from now on. Thank you!!! Jean from Arvada, CO

I really like this bra! Finally a 42 band with a cup small enough for me! I'm not wanting to rip it off at the end of the day. I bought it in the nude color - I really would like to see white, and black. I wouldn't buy navy or apricot. Dark gray, maybe. Martha from Pennsylvania

This bra fits me better than most I have tried. It does run small. I wear a 40B in other brands. Wear a 42B in this one. I do wish it had a wider band in the back. Marcia from Huntsville, AL

Had to add bra extension as there is no stretch in the front of the bra - Missed the part that said it runs snug! By adding the extension it now fits perfect. GMA from Nebraska

The cup size was huge...larger than many of the B cups I have in my drawer, which are too large, hence why I wanted to try an A. Definitely not sized as an A cup

Even on the last hooks it is very tight. However, this seems much larger than an AA cup. The construction and material are good, but the cups are too large for me.

Amoena Response: Amoena bra bands do run a little snugger than traditional brands. We suggest going up in the band size and down in the cup. We realize there is nowhere to go down in cup size after a AA. We are sorry to hear that this style did not work for you. Janet from Illinois

Cup size was way too large. Band size fit but have realized that to get a good fit, you need to add a few inches to the actual bra size.

HerRoom Response: Amoena bands run snug. Consider going up a band size, thus down a cup. Since you listed your size as 42A, we would recommend trying a 44AA. Susan from Azusa, CA

This is my favorite bra. It works well for people with asymmetrical breasts because there are full sized pockets inside the cups to hold an insert. Great quality. Stands the test of time! K from Pennsylvania

Nice bra for the price, but very snug through the back for the size.

Amoena Response: The Mara bra does run a little small in the band, we recommend trying Amoena Lara Satin Wireless Bra 2716. Lise from Denver, CO

I usually wear a 36B, but ordered a 38B because I have found Amoena runs a bit small in the band size. The fit was good. This is a comfortable, well-made bra, great for a smooth look under clothes My only complaint is that the descrlption indicates it is a 2 hook, but this bra has a 3 hook closure. Perhaps it depends on the size?

HerRoom Response: Yes, the hook and eye counts do vary by size. Julie from Indiana

Nice bra, but like many others, the straps are not as adjustable as I need. I shorten them all the way, but it's not enough, so I have to use double-sided tape to keep them up! I do appreciate being able to find a 40AA, however. No one else makes this size! Deb from Michigan

Comfortable bra that gives full coverage. Insert holder works well; it does not move around. Only reason for one star off is that it seems to run a bit small in the chest size. Otherwise, I love it. karen from Texas City, TX, USA

This bra isn't a perfect fit, but it's O.K. and I'll likely order another one. It replaces a high-end brand that costs twice as much. Which is definitely a consideration. I'm between an A-B cup so may try the A next time since the B is a little oversized. The only drawback I've noticed is that the straps are quite short, even for a Petite size like me.

HerRoom Response: We suggest trying a style with fully adjustable straps and something that isn't padded for a more custom fit like 43910. Elizabeth from Seattle, WA

I ordered six or seven different styles for my mom for Christmas. She's always frustrated that she can't find her size in retail stores - but she's afraid to buy bras online. Of all the styles I ordered that she tried on, this one - 1150 Mara - fit her the best and she loves it! I thought it looked and fit her great as well! Thank you HerRoom for helping me get my mom the right size - finally - and making returns of other styles easy! Bought For My Mom from Massachusetts

Did not fit by American standards at all. Read the size chart for this brand carefully. Got another brand in this size and fit fine, this one was way too small on the band.

Never been an underwire fan and my favorite brand stopped making the underwire version. Been on a hunt for a good one for years and finally found this! It's REALLY nice. Fit is spot on for me: I'm just between a B and C cup, but this had enough coverage to work perfectly. Would buy again! Denise V from Hawaii

This item was smaller than the 40C bras I buy. Further, it was not well made, with threads hanging at everywhere. The fabric was skimpy; the straps were way too short. Your photographer made it look great, tho.

Amoena Response: Hi Brenda, our apologies that this bra was not up to your expectations. May we suggest the Lara T-Shirt Bra #2674 which has a different fabric you may fit and feel better. brenda from eureka, ca, humboldt

I was so excited to have a bra that was finally the right size. The fit is good and so is the quality. My only complaint is that it is slightly uncomfortable when I raise my arms. The bridge between the two cups is stiff and when I raise my arms it bends in and pokes my chest. I am keeping the bra and hoping it will fit more comfortably once I break it in. Angie

This bra is heavy-duty for a AA cup - way more support/coverage than a AA needs. However, the price is good and it fits, so I am going to keep it and use it as a sports bra. The front center part comes up pretty high, so I won't be able to wear it with a tank top, but it will work great under an exercise t-shirt. Well-made with enough foam/padding, so you don't show through under a thin t-shirt. Anne from NC
