I recently purchase this item for my matron-of-honor dress. I followed the advice for sizing (up one number size, down a cup size) and it fit perfectly! I ordered this piece for my sisters up coming wedding. I just got back from holiday and tried it on. It said to order small. I normally wear a 42DD but fit into a 42DDD So I figured a 42DD was a smaller order for what I should wear. When I tried it on yesterday it would not even come close to closing. That was ordering small. So what I am assuming is I need a 44DD. Now I am scared to re-order as if it may not arrive in time for the wedding. The product was what I expected. If your looking for a long boost then this is the coverage you would want. I am a taller woman a heavier build but very shapely. I am not sure why a 42DD didn't fit around me? So Today I will go thru the hassle of sending it back and hoping the 44DD will fit and arrive in time for the wedding. I followed the advice of other reviewers & the size chart and ordered a size up, a cup down (I'm usually a 36DD and bought a 38D) in the ivory. Unfortunately the top 3 or 4 clasps didn't fit. I have since ordered the 40D (two sizes up, one cup size down) and it fits beautifully. I love that it sucks me in, but it's still comfortable when I sit and on my back. I'm wearing this under my strapless wedding gown and it's really comfortable & supportive all around. I did have to buy a few, but maybe the other one (38D) will fit in 4 months after I've lost more weight before the wedding. Better to be safe than sorry! I am 5'4 and weigh 130 lbs. I ordered my size based on the size chart offered on this website and it worked out perfect! I bought it in cream to wear under my wedding dress and the back is going to be just low enough (but even if not, the brial alteration place could make adjustments). I am 5'8 and weigh 165, this bra fit perfectly! I would definitely recommend going with a smaller bra size and larger waist. I bought this garment for my wedding; I am very pleased with the fit and feel of the garment. I was having a problem getting my dress to zip the last few inches but this bustier eliminate the problem. The boning does not bend while wearing; it stays in place even while sitting. Comfortable, slimming, fit perfectly, forgot that I was wearing it even though I wore it for 7+ hours, pretty, sexy, attractive, husband loved it. Also I am 5'7"and usually cannot find these with stocking/garter straps that are long enough for me, but these were. I weigh about 250 but this fit perfectly and enhanced hourglass shape. I followed the advice and ordered smaller cup and wider. It fits,but I seem to overflow a little on the sides. I took the tags off and wore its few days later to get my wedding dress. That's when the wires then bends in and hurt my side on one side and bulged out on the other. I did not like this bra at all. I was even measured when I got my dress and I am 36in. I did not like this bra and am not wearing it when I get married. I wore it to try my dress on and that was horrible. It pushed up some skin that bulged on my back, I was overflowing in the breast area and it was horrible for me. I have a little tummy so I guess its not for me at all. Nice quality, but did not fit correctly. I'm tall (6'1") and the Bustier Bra fit very short waisted. My normal bra size is 40DD, and this was very tight through the bra area and very loose with no support around the bottom of the bra. This very well might be because of my height. I have returned product for refund. I was going to wear under my wedding dress, but have since decided to go another route. Acc from GA

The product is excellent- love it! Would have given five stars if not for sizing issues. I normally wear a 32D...but read other reviews and ordered a 34D...which was too big. The 32C is great, but cup size is too small. Should've trusted my instincts and ordered my actual size! Returning both sizes in exchange for a 32D - which I have no doubt will fit perfectly! Very pretty bra. I am normally a 40DDD and I ordered that size first, it was too small in the band. I ordered 42DD following the advice of the site, but that was also too small in the band. It does not have a lot of give or stretch to it.

Va Bien Response: Perhaps you are not used to wearing bustiers, and did not care for the firm fit. While this style is very comfortable, it is indeed fabricated with rigid satin panels, which tuck in the midsection to create an hourglass figure. Kim from Ohio

Wonderfully supportive! The cups are nicely shaped to give a smoother line which I prefer over the more bullet or cone shaped cups. FANTASTIC!! I'm right on the border between average and petite, (5'4") with a bit of a tummy, and was looking for something to wear under a clingy bridesmaid dress.. Incredibly comfortable all day, and no jiggling or unsightly popping out anywhere! Anyone under 5'4" should heed the advice of the site though-- if I wasn't long in the torso, the boning would have been misaligned (I had great posture all day because slouching led to poking, which was actually great because I looked confident and slim in all the pictures!) but for busty gals, this is perfect! The suggestion by HerRoom was definitely wrong- they said to get a size smaller given my body shape but it didn't even fit! There was no way I could make this work so I had to return it. It cost me $11 (in shipping) to try on a bustier bra that didn't fit. Disappointing. SB from Boston

I followed the advice to go up a band size and down a cup size, and ordered the cream color. I would have preferred a beige, something closer to the tone of my flesh, but there was no such option. I was not happy with the garment color--sickly shade of cream. It fit fine in the torso/waist area and gave a good shape there. Problem was the cups. There was a gap between my girls and the cups themselves; the garment stood away from my chest at that point. No matter of fiddling and adjusting would make it work. The real deal-breaker, though, was the fabric lining the cups. Scratchy, foam-like. No way I could make it through a wedding in hot weather with that up against the gals. So, it's going back. Still looking for the longline bra or bustier to wear under my dress. I'm usually a 38 C.

Vabien Response: I believe you ordered the wrong size; the cups are too large. We would suggest that you measure herself to confirm your true bra size. It sounds like you are a 38B rather than 38C. Regarding the lining inside the cups, most customers do not find it to be scratchy. In fact, many bridal bustier manufacturers do not place any lining at all inside their cups.
