I love this garment however what I don't understand is that it started out fitting on my waist and gradually it slipped further and further down. So I have now a small ,medium, and a large size . I have gained five pounds since my original order and that should not make that much difference. Is it the washing? I am curious.

I usually wear a 1X but I ordered this in both 2X and 3X anticipating this being a very tight garment. It is iron clad and is excellent for abdominal support. I've had a few recent abdominal surgeries and need this type of underwear. However, the waist is too small in comparison to the rest of the garment. I am straight waisted even the 3X was too tight in the waist. Therefore, I will not be able to wear either size. This garment will work great for anyone who needs strong support but who has a waist. I have been purchasing this item for several years, scared to death that they will someday discontinue it. It is extremely well made, in fact, you cannot wear them out, they may begin to look bad, but still continue to work! Flattens your tummy!!!Doesn't pinch, bind. I have waited all my life (it seems) to find this product. It is so comfortable while supporting my back and restraining my stomach. There is no extended waist band that ends up folding over on me - it is a true waistline, again, very comfortable. It feels as though it is indestructible.
