I found that this item ran big. The breast cups are not smooth so if you plan on wearing this under something that is thin or figure hugging you will not have a smooth silhouette in the breast area.It made my dress look lumpy and bumpy.From the waist down it was okay,but not as good as other shape wear that I own but I needed the lower back feature for my dress. The item is great. I would have liked it better is there was an option to put in a push up enhancer. A small slit in the side so you can add your own. It will work for what I am using it for but more cleavage would have been better..... Janell from Phoenix, Arizona

I received this item right on time. When I tried it on it def sucks you in, I was hoping for a little more tummy control though. I am wearing this under my wedding dress and it does do the job, I find that as in other reviews the torso is a bit short, but for me it works, I would not go with this bodysuit if you a very tall or have a long torso. I also though the cups were a little pointy, I do not have large breasts and they just fit in the cup and give it a pointy look, I would not wear this under anything thin, again it does work under my wedding dress but the top is thick. The product itself is very good quality, made well and the material is nice as well. Overall it is very comfortable too, if the boobs weren't so pointy I would wear it all the time! cheri from hampshire IL

The bra cups are very unflattering. I didn't have time to exchange the item so I ended up sewing on smooth bra cups over it. I also found it to be quite short-waisted for my height at 5'6"ish. Great for a lower-backed dress. Not much of a slimming effect. The boning gives good support if worn strapless. Kelley from FL

This garment is just what I needed for a low-backed spaghetti strap wedding dress without any built-in support. It does a great job of nipping in my waist and smoothing everything out from bust to thigh. The construction is very good and the design is prettier than a lot of other support garments out there. I found the fit to be pretty true to size. I am about 5'8" with an avg to slightly long torso and usually wear a 34C or 36B bra depending on brand/style. I was worried that the length wouldn't fit after reading reviews from other taller women, but I guess everyone is built differently and the only way to know is to purchase a couple of sizes and try it out. Thankfully HerRoom has a great return policy. I ended up with the 34C and it's great! CMD from Washington, DC

The item was very nicely constructed, good material and a good price, but unfortunately I had to send it back because the cups were not enough coverage for a fuller-sized bust! They were a bit small. Wish it came in sizes bigger than a "D" for us larger busted women. I took a chance, but it didn't work out. This item is true to size though and I would recommend it to anyone I know. I will return because on the left side the lining folds up to where you can see it as an undergarment...might just be defective.

This fit very poorly on my frame. I have a little extra skin, but I'd have more support by tying tupperware bowls inside my dress. This garment made my bazongas look like they were lying on a shelf & was even made worse by the very short torso. My torso is average, but I can comfortably slip into petite sizes sometimes. This was on the petite-petite side.

VaBien Response: While style #1294 does have a longer than average stride (torso length) it is shorter than some other Va Bien bodysuits. VaBien 1570 has a longer torso. Perhaps this would have been a better option. Kate from Broad Channel

My friend is making my dress for my wedding, and we needed a really good foundation garment so that everything would fit/look right in the dress. I found it in this one! I feel very supported and I like how there's a snap gusset so that if you need to go to the bathroom there's an easy way. I will warn you all, however: I would not recommend this for anyone taller than me (5'5) or with a very long torso. The other reviewers are probably right in saying that it won't reach all the way up. Luckily, I'm short enough that it works perfectly. Lisette from Washington

This item should be sized according to height. Since I'm tall, and it's a bodysuit, not a full slip, the bust placement is dictated by how long the torso is, and where the legs start. Therefore, the bust sat very low on me (since I'm tall and have a long torso). Didn't provide any lift--in fact it pulled my chest down! I had high hopes for this product and it may work well for someone shorter, but wouldn't recommend for tall. I am returning.

Va Bien Response: Unfortunately manufacturers of bodysuits have to make a choice between sizing a style by cup versus by length. 1294 does have a longer-than-average stride (length), but clearly for customers who are much taller than average, the stride is limited. V from Long Beach, CA

I just got the product and think it seems pretty good, I looked all over trying to find a one piece suit that was strapless and had the shorts so that way I only had one thing underneath my wedding dress. Was thrilled when I found this one. I just tried it on and it does help give a slimming look but it seems a little short. I'm only 5'6 and it just barley comes to my breasts, but otherwise I really like it. I think if it would come in a size larger it would fit me better though, so otherwise a great item and fast shipping. Some of my bridesmaids are also going to get this, and I think that if HerRoom would make it in a plus size you would be able to sell even more as two of my bridesmaids are on the plus size and are trying to find something just like this but can't. Otherwise great find.

A good quality item that looked exactly as it did on the website. It just didn't fit the way it needed to - the bra was the right size, but waist and tummy were not quite snug enough for my taste (I like very firm control). The torso was also a little long (I am 5' 3"), so it bunched up at the waist and lost the smoothing factor. If they had a petite line, I would try this product again. Deborah from New York, NY

Well made and pretty. The bra portion runs towards the big side. I am short (5' & 118lbs) and short-waisted and the boning seemed fine to me. I was, however, looking for more "control" from the belly button down. I ended up with a high wasted panty attached to a strapless bra which held everything in more, but was not NEARLY as comfortable. I did return this item to HerRoom and have been totally satisfied with their service and attention. J from AL

I purchased this for my daughter - she said it was very comfortable - and she is not a tall person. She did agree that the lacy material did show through because her dress was sheer and she had to wear a slip over it. Otherwise it was a great item and she will use it again. I liked this a lot. I wore it with the optional straps attached and felt pretty comfortable all evening. It gave me a great shape. My only SLIGHT criticism is that the crotch opening system is a little bulky; and my only problem is that I am 5' 3" tall and, since my lack of height is in my torso, the boning is a bit too long for perfect comfort. So if you are short, you might want to pick one without boning. But, all-in-all I am very pleased and will be keeping this item.

I needed this garment to wear with a dress for a wedding and it was perfect. The girdle was comfortable but yet was slimming in all the areas that I needed it to be. It made the dress fit like it was suppose to. The girdle was like a second skin to me and I recommend it to anyone that needs a slimming effect. I didn't even know that I was wearing it. I am very pleased with the promptness in which Her Room processes orders, and the quality of the items I ordered. The bodysuit is well made and exactly as described. I ordered two sizes because I am "between sizes" and was not sure which size would be the better fit. The larger size turned out to be the better fit, however, I had to return both because they were too short in the torso; I am tall and torso length is a common problem I have with body suits and swim suits. I am very happy with the fit and feel of this product. The back is a great low cut and the short of the body suit don't roll or ride up. While the lacing on the body suit it very sexy, if my gown wasn't a heavy lined satin, I'm sure it would show. Nonetheless, I would say this suit is best in class. Happy Customer from Chicago, IL
