Underwire bras come in almost every shape and style, including push-up bras and padded bras. While the support of an underwire is important for larger breasts, even smaller sizes can gain some lift and separation from underwire construction. To add even more cleavage enhancement, some underwire bras are available as padded or push-up bras.
Push-up bras have graduated padding at the bottom of the cups which lifts the breasts and creates a more pronounced cleavage. Padded bras are somewhat different. An underwire padded bra will have both the sewn-in underwire beneath the cups and padding in the cups, made of fiberfill, cotton, gel, flexible foam or even water. The combination of underwires and either push-up or padded construction can give the appearance of larger and 'perkier' breasts.
